It seems the group didn't fully get away from the Zombies. A little zombie eye ball followed them and as they rested the eye ball cought up. Lucky for the group Gabriel's gurdian David spotted it before anyone else did. With one large step the eye ball was no longer a problem. He waved his hand over the eye ball and it body turned to ashes. He bowed his head and moved back into the group.
The kids looked ready to take on the next house.

"A... mouse?" Clover asked of the person that handed it over to them, looking more then a little confused but without any sort of explanation the door closed behind the woman in the labcoat and he was left standing there with a mouse in his hand. That was... strange. He gave a shrug before he set it down in the pumpkin shaped bucket that Snowe was using to hold his Halloween prizes in. So far it was the only thing in there other then a few piece of candy since everything else he'd gotten thus far was a pet other then that rock...

The next house got the same response all the others had, with Todd happily knocking and excitedly dancing from foot to foot as he gave his familiar call of trick or treat, something that was fast becoming a warcry of the night.
It would seem he had more luck from this house- more non-candy luck at that. It was an older and...stranger house and the old woman smiled warmly at the boy. "Oh, I have just the gift for you..."
She vanished from sight for a moment, returning with a doll in her hand. "Here you go, child. Have a safe evening..." she smiled, depositing the doll into the boy's bucket. She stepped back and slowly shut the door afterward, leaving Todd to wander back to his Da, swinging around another doll.
"Wook Da! I gotta 'nother one!" he said happily.
There was something eerie about the house and Cris had felt it. It wasn't very noticable...not unless you were used to looking for that sort of thing. The house looked entirely innocuous and the woman like any older woman. Nothing special.
But...the fact the doll the boy had received looked entirely like him...it was a tip-off that there was something...off. Oh well, it wasn't anything malicious, not as far as he could tell. So...why worry about it, then? Why think too much? This was All Hallow's Eve, a night of strange happenings and general spookiness as the veil between the world of men and spirits thinned.
The boy had a tiny spirit following him around, for goodness sakes! A tiny spirit carefully examining the small doll, no less.
"Yeah...hey, that's an extra cool one. You know why?
"Why?"
"Because this one is exactly like you! he smiled, giving the boy a light poke.
Todd turned the doll over and over, feeling it carefully and smiling widely. A doll that looked, felt and was dressed just like him? This was an awesome night with the most awesome gifts!
[ETA: Child: Todd, obviously XD Costume: He's dressed as a tortishell cat (based off the one Cris has named Mudge), complete with little paw gloves and face-paint whiskers!]

House after house began to blend all together, with the exception of the odd expirience...and the unfavorable one. Speaking of which, the next house the boy approached happened to be one of these unfavorable ones. It was a teenaged boy manning the house and he seemed disinclined to share any of the candy he was munching with the zombie child, offering only a sneering 'get lost', before banging the door shut.
Todd huffed angrily and battered the door as he tended to, yelling scolding remarked to the boy who stood peering out the window.
"You never gonna get a girlfwiend wike dat!" he howled.
Cris sighed. That had to be something the kid picked up from TV...or from he and his friends. He needed to watch what he was saying around little ears...
"You gonna die awone!" he barked, battering at the house.
He really needed to watch what he said. That was nothing for a toddler to be spouting haphazardly...if at all. As the boy's cane struck a window pane (causing the teen behind the door to jump back and drop his candy), Cris rushed up and scooped the zombieling up. Oh geez, now they were vandals.
"Come on, little brat. Let's jam to the next house." he murmured, turning around and booking it down the street. Too many more houses like this wasn't going to be any good...

So the group made it over to a new house all bright eyed and cheery due to just being given some candy. An elderly woman walked out and handed Copper , Mar and the other girls dolls. She looked at the boys and shouted "SCARM". Gabriel quickly jumped on the porch and moved the kids along. Golly people are strange .....

"Cool, another doll!" Sammi beamed at the person who'd given it to her. She'd never had a doll like this before! It was definitely a new addition to her collection. She ran off to the next house.
