Marissa Katra Darling
Marissa froze in front of Ryu, not able to believe that he was going to let her stay after finding out her secret, a secret she had kept for so many years. "Y...Y-your l-lletting me sstay? W-w-why?" She herself knew that she had been raised to provoke the Arcadians and get others to kill them if they got to close to their pack. But deep inside Marissa knew that both sides saw the worst in each other. That the Katagaria's were seen as animals, destroying and attacking at will. And that the Arcadian's were seen to be as greedy and hell bent on war as the humans. She hated that none could see that under all of they both species were the same, the protected those under their care and did their best for their whole pack. Shaking her head to clear those thoughts from her mind Marissa listened to Ryu and nodded her head slightly. "If you wish me to stay and keep the truth about myself secret the only other option I can think of is for me to build a house for myself away from everyone." She knew how harsh the Arcadian's could be if they caught a Katagaria, she had helped heal what she could for a male that had been captured. Still trembling from her nightmares and now her fears of being once more punished, this time for being who she was, Marissa allowed her packs and bag to slip from her shoulders to land on the floor near the door. She once more gave Ryu her back, knowing full well it could get her killed before she moved to the chair and picked up one of the pillows before tossing the other back onto the bed. With the one pillow in hand Marissa slowly walked to the far corner of the room and curled up on the floor, not wanting to diminish Ryu's memories of his parent's by sleeping on their bed. After getting comfortable on the floor with the pillow held in her arms and slightly under her head Marissa waved Ryu's words away as more tears streaked down her cheeks. "There is no need to be sorry Ryu, I am what I am and there is no changing that. I will either be accepted or chased out of your village tomorrow, and no matter the outcome I will keep this location to myself." Marissa closed her eyes, trying to will her body to relax though she knew she would not be able to sleep again this night. "You can go back to sleep Ryu, I will not attack you or try and kill you. I know I cannot be believed but harming others just harms me, but in the end my family taught me not to harm others." She laid there listening, waiting to hear if Ryu would attack, call for warriors to restrain her or if he would believe her and go back to sleep.

 Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu just stood there and sighed, looking at her."Marissa, stop crying, and get off the floor, just lay down on the bed and go to sleep ok, and until your own home can be made you will be staying here." Ryu walked over to her and helped her back to her feet."I know you wouldnt hurt me or anyone here, if you were going to kill me, you would have done it while i was in that trap, i owe you my life."

Marissa looked up to Ryu for a few seconds before resting it once more on the pillow, her body shivering slightly from time to time as the memories still played in her head, memories or her past before she had been banished and her life after she had been banished. They were memories that would forever torment her dreams and were now also tormenting her while awake. How she wished she could do what Ryu so clearly wanted her to do, how she wished she could just stop crying and go back to sleep. "I'll be a-alright Ryu, the tears will stop and I'll sleep again. Worry about yourself, you were the one injured, not I, go back to your room and sleep I'll be fine." At Ryu's comment about her remaining here until her own home was build she gave a humorless chuckle before shaking her head. "Do not worry yourself about the building of my home Ryu, I will find a cave near by or build it myself. I will not force you to live with someone you so clearly do not wish to be around." She had seen the look in his eyes when he had learned what she was, could only guess that he too might have had a horrible experiance with some Arcadian's, and she wouldn't force him to face that memory every time he looked at her. She would not make him think of what had possibly happened to himself or someone he cared about, she would not make him think about all that those in his pack had gone through at the hands of Arcadian's. As Ryu suddenly appeared in front of her and helped her to her feet Marissa looked to him, the tears having slowed down but still streaking down her cheeks, and shook her head slightly. "I won't do that Ryu, in the morning I will gather my things and find a place for me to rest and between helping teach those who want to learn about healing I will gather whats needed to make a home for myself." Marissa trembled slightly as she felt Ryu's hands holding her but she didn't allow herself the comfort for long, she had learned to keep herself distanced from anyone around her. She as she lightly pulled her hands from Ryu's she ignored the ache in her chest at the loss of the contact before speaking. "An Arcadian would have either left you there or captured you, I have heard stories of that happening. And the proof of that that I have seen is just sickening, in the end the male I tried to help heal just couldn't be saved." Looking up to Ryu, her sadness over that loss could be seen clearly in her eyes, eyes that misted over with more tears before she shook her head and swiped at the tears. "I'm sorry for this Ryu, go rest, I'll be alright." She turned away from him, continuing to ignore the ache she felt in her chest, as she put a little more distance between herself and Ryu. She bent and gathered the pillow in her arms before moving to sit on the bottom of the bed. She would make it seem like she was doing as Ryu had said but once he left the room she would once more lay on the floor.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu just stood there watching her. He wanted to help her/ SHe had saved him, and now it was his turn to repay the favor."Marissa, you are a pat of our pack now, like it or not, they see you as a katagarian, one oof us, you arent cruel like the arcadians we have met." Ryu walked over to her."I want to help you, i saw your memories, i know what you went through, i want to help you get over that, so you can over come it."Ryu sat down on the bed. He decided he wasnt going to leave her here alone."i am going to stay here, and help you." ((OOC: ))

A harsh burst of air left her as she listened to Ryu speaking before she glanced up and him and shook her head. "Do you not understand Ryu, I will never be a part of any pack. The Arcadian's, if they ever spotted and scented me, would kill me or torture me. And any Katagaria's, if they learned the truth,.would quickly kill me for posing a threat to their loved ones. I would be welcomed by none and hated by all if any ever learned the truth." Sighing Marissa shook her head and just held the pillow in her arms, allowing herself that comfort though it wasn't much. "Please Ryu, you need the rest more then I do. I have grown used to not getting much sleep. You need all the sleep you can get to heal and protect your pack." Marissa glanced up to him as he walked to her before pressing her face into the pillow. How she hated that he had seen her past, knew the sins she was blamed for, that he possibly even believed them. She didn't know what kind of connection they had but it was obviously a strong one for he was catching bits of her memories as she dreamed. At his words of wanting to help her Marissa almost gave into the temptation to allow him to do so but she knew that if she did she would be opening herself up, making herself more vulnerable to him. And she couldn't allow that, she couldn't allow herself to weaken even more in his eyes by appearing to need help to overcome her nightmares. And as he sat down Marissa inwardly screamed, knowing that if she couldn't distance herself something was going to happen though she didn't know what. She just knew the she felt a pull towards him and every time he came near she wanted to reach out and touch him. "Ryu..." She sighed as she held the pillow tightly. She didn't look to him, just kept her face in the pillow before speaking. "Alright, stay, but you need to lay down...please..." She couldn't believe she was giving in to him, she told herself it was because she didn't want him weakening his ankle any further but she couldn't lie to herself. She knew his ankle was almost fully healed if not fully healed already. She told herself that she wouldn't lay down or even remain on the bed with him. She would get up and sit in the chair once he was resting on the bed comfortably. So she waited, hoping he would lay down and allow herself the space so that she wouldn't crumble into his arms and allow her whole past to spill from her lips. For she knew, that if she allowed herself the comfort of his arms, she would end up telling him everything.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu just laid down on the bed with her. He looked over at her and put his hand on her shoulder."I am here for you Marissa." Ryu said soothingly to her. He wanted her to trust him, he already trusted her, he just wanted to help her and make everything better. ((OOC: ))

Marissa sighed slightly as Ryu laid down on the bed. She was just thinking about getting up when she felt the weight of Ryu's hand on her shoulder. She looked to him after wiping the tears from her eyes. She didn't know what to say to him so she gave him a small smile before getting up and moving to the chair that was against the wall. Sitting down in it Marissa curled up in the chair with the pillow and just closed her eyes. She knew she would fall asleep sooner or later but she truly didn't want to, she knew her nightmares would haunt her again and that she didn't wish Ryu to learn any more about her past. "Sleep well Ryu. I'll be right here until I feel like I can sleep again. Then when I need to sleep I'll lay down on the bed." She said knowing that he would demand for her to sit on the bed until she needed to sleep.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu sat up and looked at her."At least come over here and sit on the bed untill you fall asleep" Ryu said a he watched her, hoping she would come over and join im. ((OOC: ))

Marissa inwardly groaned as she watched as Ryu sat up and asked her to sit on the bed until she fell asleep. Shaking her head slightly Marissa tried to give him a reason that he would believe for why she wouldn't join him. "Its alright Ryu, I don't want to keep you awake. And that's what I will do if I sit on the bed while I wait to get tired."
((OOC: How about you have Ryu give in and allow her to sit on the chair and then some time after he falls asleep Marissa will go to the corner after putting her pallet down and fall asleep. And a short time after she falls asleep Ryu gets woken up by one of her nightmares again. He then sees she is sleeping on the floor and seems to be in pain. He picks her up and carries her to the bed and just curls around her protectively basically. And sometime during the night she wakes up and sees that Ryu is still in his human form holding her and that's basically when things happen.))

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu sighed, he was getting tired.."Ok, good nihgt marissa." Ryu said as he laid back down and slowly fell back to sleep, his body reverting to its base form of a tiger. ((OOC:ok ))

Marissa nodded her head slightly as she responded. "Good night Ryu, sleep well." She sighed silently to herself, glad that Ryu had stopped fighting her and just allowed himself to sleep. As Marissa watched Ryu fall asleep and revert to his tiger form she made sure to wait a few minutes more before standing up and preparing her pallet in the corner. Once her pallet was rolled out she laid down and rested her head on the pillow though she didn't wish to go to sleep again. But thirty minutes later Marissa was asleep again and dreaming of the pain she had gone through as her body slowly healed from the wounds her pack and family had given her.

Ryu Aidan Hunter It wasnt long before ryu was watching her memories again. He felt bad for her, these memoreis were so painful, and he wanted to help her, but all he could do was watch, untill he woke up. He reverted to his human form and yawned looking next to him, to see she wasnt there. He looked around and saw her on the floor. He got p and picked her up in his arms and laid her down on the bed, before laying down next to her. He was to awake to just fall back asleep, so he just laid there. ((OOC:ok ))

Marissa was still dreaming of the days and weeks spent healing from the wounds her family and pack had delivered to her when Ryu woke and saw her on the floor. As she was picked up she flinched as in her dreams one of her broken ribs started knitting itself back together. After it seemed like she had relaxed on the bed Marissa turned on her side and curled into herself. Not long after that she came awake with a scream lodged in her throat as she sat up on the bed and started rocking herself slightly as she mumbled to herself. "Just a nightmare, not real...Just a memory, not happening anymore...not real...not hurting...not found..." Tears were once more falling down her cheeks as she trembled and rocked herself on the bed. She was so caught up with the nightmare that she didn't remember being with Ryu, didn't know she was on a bed with a male that knew her secret.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu put a hand on her shoulder. "I am here for you" Ryu said before he hugged her, trying to help her calm down. He wasnt sure why but he felt something for her, something he never felt for anyone else. he didnt nkow why either, but he just did, something about her made him want to spend more time with her. A thought hit him, he might be falling in love with her, it would explain why he could see her memories in dreams, because he had a connection to her, but if that was true, then she would see his dreams as well. ((OOC: ))
