Name of Weapons: |/|4.r1_|_/|/4||4 Who Owns the Weapons: Raynn Shouran Where it Was Found?/ Who Made it? Raynn had the blade crafted as a plan B if it was ever required Range: The blade is 14 inches but when launched can reach up to 10 feet before the chain stops it from traveling any farther. Weakness: Must reload the spring manually Weapon Description: It is a dense steel alloy that has a very bright silver luster. Special Properties/Abilites: There is a button on the handle that when pressed releases a spring that launches the blade. When launched the blade has a chain that attaches it to the hilt. When Raynn presses the button again the chain will retract but because of the strength of the spring the blade must be shoved in manually. Rp Sample: Raynn quick draws Marifana and parries the attackers blade. Raynn bounces of the parry and spins around for another slash. The attackers clashes with Raynn struggling for a few seconds before Ryann kicks the attacker in the chest shoving him off. They both take defensive poses, Raynn holding his 14 inch blade in a downward position standing in a low crouch and the attacker holding his katana in both hands out in front of him. Raynn charges in dashing from side to side before lunging at the attacker. There blade collide sending a shower of sparks through the air. Raynn turns and shoves away the attackers blade and presses the button of the hilt. The blade ejects from the hilt. The blade hits the attacker in the should stabbing deep into the muscle. Raynn turns the other way and yanks on the chain ripping the blade from the attackers shoulder. The attacker bellows in pain as he charges at Raynn full speed. Raynn not having enough time to withdraw the blade whips the chain around the attackers feet and pull tight yanking his feet from under him. Raynn yanks on the chain untangling it from the attackers feet. The attacker forces himself to his feet powered by pure rage. The attacker resumes the charge and Raynn sweeps the chain at his feet again. This time the attacker jumps over it smiling widely. Raynn continues the swing and spins 360 bringing the blade back around incredibly fast. The blade cuts deep into the attackers side dealing the final blow. Raynn retracts the blade and locks it in place before turning to go.

@Kuro: the taijutsu class only allows one custom weapon, and this is your second one. If you`re going for the dojutsu that allows 2 small custom weapons, then they need to be small. A sword with a 10 foot chain on it isn`t small.

I'm pretty sure they meant you can't make stuff like halberds and broadswords, my sword essentially becomes a chain scythe, which is classified as a light weapon, aka small Edit: go reply to my Taijutsu requests!

A 14 inch blade would seem to classify more as a Kodachi, or short sword. I'm okay with this being deemed a 'light' weapon. I'd say it's border line, but seeing as all it does is mechanically make the Kodachi a chained scythe type weapon, I'm fine with it.

Plus it doesn't say light, does it? It says small. A sword (especially one with an eleven foot reach) isn't small. Small items are kuni, grenades, gloves, bottles, etc. A regular shortsword just barely counts as small, but certainly not when it has a huge handle with ten feet of chain and a powerful spring in it. Question: how does the chain retract into the hilt without some sort of winch? Don't ask me about the style requests again. I have had more pressing matters to attend to, and pestering me time and again to reply to them makes you even less of a priority. The only reason I post here is I check to see if my application has been approved, but your stuff has been getting all the attention. So I provide my input as a mod hoping to get your applications done with sooner, plus you need it.

The button retracts the latch which allows the spring to shoot the blade forward So am I approved? PS: sorry I'm being such an attention hog

I asked how the chain retracts, not how the sword is launched.

kuro-uchi Deil Grist I asked how the chain retracts, not how the sword is launched. ...magic? a reel spins pulling it back in. Magic like that needs a cost. Plus, isn't your handle going to be quite large or long if it holds a spool with that much chain in it? You have also not described the thickness of the chain. I assume it would be quite thin if the chain passes through the spring (depending on the width of your handle).

Hi Deil,
You're being too stringently realistic. Yeah, making such a weapon wouldn't really work, but neither would that sword whip thingy that was created in Rurouni Kenshin... but it was still badass.
Don't sweat the details of how the mechanics work, just focus on the general concepts and judge based on balance. Ninja Magic/Engineering can fill in the rest of the gaps. if you think it needs a chakra cost, that's one thing... but rejecting on the basis of "the handle isn't large enough to contain that much chain" is kind of a petty argument when you consider that many weapons in Anime are totally unreasonable in their size and how they function.
If you have outstanding Custom Weapons, post a link to the custom and I'll check it before the end of the day. I'm at work though, so I can't make promises in the near future.

Name of Weapon: Nebilim Who Owns the Weapon: Elika Where it Was Found?/ Who Made it? Dunno yet, she doesn't have it either. Just getting it approved for later use Range: As a pair of swords, each has a 16 inch reach. While as a bow, 300 yrds. Weakness: Transformation is a "free action", can only transform once per post. Costs 1 chakra point to shift between bow and swords Weapon Description: The twin blades, crafted in kind to mirror the swords used by the nomads that once wandered the desert of the land of wind. The bow looks ancient, formed from elder-wood for the perfect balance. Special Properties/Abilites: The blades, when their hilts are crossed, transform into a bow. At any moment, as a free action (for lack of a better word), the bow may be transformed back into the short swords. There is nothing special about the weapons beside this ability Rp Sample: Elika slowly cocked the arrow back as the samurai charged at her. Her hands shook for a moment as he came, unwilling to end him. She knew she'd have to. She aim was true as she let go of the drawstring. Her arrow moving quickly toward her foe. He was a skilled swordsman to be sure, deflecting the arrow without a thought, bringing his arm back up to strike. She dropped down onto a knee as his sword came down. Her bow held high about her head to block. The ronin grinned as the blade contacted the bow, but it was not to end here. In the last moment she slid her hands across the shelf, the ancient wood of the bow passing away to steel. She rolled forward, her blades spinning as she traveled between his legs. The samurai had put too much of his force in his strike, one blow being the samurai's way. She easily slipped past him, her short blades digging into his calves before she hopped up on the opposite side. The man toppled over in pain, his katana dropped to the side as he clutched his leg. She slid the blades back across her arms in opposing directions, the steel disappearing to form her bow once more. She pulled an arrow free from her quiver, notching it slowly back. She took no pleasure in this."I'm sorry." She spoke just loud enough for him to hear before she release the shaft. Elika turned on her heels, slipping her swords into a straight sheath that lay across the back of her waist, each hilt from the opposite end. She picked up the man's sword, planting in the ground next to him before she covered him with sand, the least she could do for him was this little gesture. ((I've no idea on the actual mechanics of the transformation, I'll look into it and perhaps it'll be a machine thing, but at the moment I'm going to chock it up to ninja magic))

kuro-uchi Deil Grist Jesus Kuro, edit your posts and post saying you have instead of spamming your weapon app. yes, because getting pissed and yelling at me to do something like I should know it when it isn't written anywhere is the best solution, he told me to change something, so I re-posted my application with the correction requested Edit: Happy? I deleted the others The MODs don't have anything against you to yell or get pissed at you, maybe we are strict on some thing, but a 'rule' broken several times is just too much. If it goes for the profiles, it goes for all, and it's not that we haven't said it before. I would like to request you to calmly process with the MODs and not argue.
