The table idea would probably be working a bit better if there weren't so many distractions to consider. First he was saving Grus and now the Negaverse woman -- who seemed to be the one in charge of the whole operation -- was going after one of the kids. That was not something Ganymede had any intention of allowing, even if it meant he had to forgo attacking the door. Protecting the pint-sized senshi seemed a bit more important. He didn't really like the idea of having to explain to someone's parent why their kid died at camp.

"We've got trouble!" he announced to Valhalla, Babylon and Maenalus, choosing not to return to his position at the table and instead circling around the side of the shed to follow Painite in the hopes of preventing her from harming Ixion. "Someone give me something to hit her with!"

For now, he resorted to picking up a decent sized rock and throwing it at Painite. He put on his mightiest glare as he moved to confront her, though he would admit he was probably one of the least intimidating people there. Fighting wasn't exactly his style, but she went too far going after one of the kids.

"If you touch him, you'll have the whole lot of us on your a** in a matter of seconds," he warned her. "Back away and find someone else. Using kids as a shield is just low." Before, he'd thought these people were dangerous and crazy; now he sort of got the feeling that they were kind of pathetic, not in a way that they lacked strength -- they obviously didn't -- but in a way that made it seem as if there were no ends they wouldn't go to in order to get what they wanted.

Painite was really not having a good day, and yet she was having a lot of fun with it. A little bumped and bruised and burned, but she would survive all of that. Because she was a woman on a mission, and she was not going to fail it.

She stopped in her tracks, just inches from Ixion, when the rocks started coming flying at her. If one more person threw something at her, or hit her in the face with something, she was going to lose it.

Grinning at the senshi, she shook her head.

"See. That's where your line of thought fails. I am aiming low. I do appreciate the camp pun, though," she laughed and lunged again, ducking rocks and taking a few more bumps. Goddamn nature. Seemed to ally itself with the senshi.

Typical.

She grabbed onto Ixion and leaped back up onto the top of the shed, hearing it groan under her weight. Maybe not one of her best ideas to date, but she had to get up and away from the rock throwers and the pissy faced senshi's. Now she felt like she had the upper hand, when really it was just the higher ground, grinning down at them venomously as she held on to the chibi senshi.

"Now what are you going to do?" She taunted, the cabin groaning inappreciatively beneath her, its walls wobbling.

"s**t..."

He didn't like where this was going. Not at all. He especially didn't like that these children were all the age of his younger brother... Hell, he wouldn't be surprised to find out that some of these children had been running around with his brother... Wait... what if his brother was one of these children?? After all, he didn't know he was Valhalla until recently. What if the same happened to his little brother??

"Leave him alone!" Valhalla shouted up at the woman, although he still signalled to Babylon and Maenalus to ram the door again while Ganymede tried to get the child back. They were so close to getting the door open. They couldn't stop now, even with the child in danger. Besides, if she did anything to the child, she would lose her bargaining chip. And then where would she be? He and the others would be too furious to let her get away with harming the child, at least he hoped so! He knew he wouldn't let her get away with it!

They heaved the table back, before running into the door again, hoping it wouldn't take too long to get inside. And then he would deal with Painite.

Whatever underdeveloped sense of chivalry Babylon possessed, it still drew the line at taking children hostage and using them as shields. The page felt the sting of bile at the back of his throat and swallowed it down. Before he'd just been playing by the sense in his inner ear that the negaverse was bad - now he didn't even need it to know, these were not people you wanted to align yourself with. These were not people you wanted to reason with, or even people you wanted to talk down. You couldn't do that. You couldn't stop them.

You could only wipe them out.

"You heard the man," he grunted to Maenalus. "Let's get that door open before they can cause any more trouble."

Having seen what the Negaverse was willing to do to defend the shed, though, it made him wonder what could possibly be inside it. As the table met the door, Babylon had a mental flash of children chained to the walls, drained of their energy and left for dead, like the coma victims from the last two years.

...They wouldn't do that, would they? He sincerely hoped they wouldn't, but Babylon had never for a second since the age of fourteen doubted the human capacity for cruelty, and he did not know if he believed in a merciful god.

"HEAVE," he cried as they hauled the tabled towards the door.

It really was such a stupid question to ask, enough so that is was missed and not yet needed to be asked. God, *********! You might be a super amazing cat that could talk, but suggesting for Hygiea to ask to mend people during battle probably wasn't the best, she'd have to wait for later. There were more pressing issues apparently.

A door, which she was avoiding getting closer to due to a table being rammed into it - did these people also have useless more defensive or supportive powers like herself? And another statement was uttered, Hygiea recognized the boy from the school attack. "That's a stupid thing to say!" She screamed hoarsely at Ixion, a few words only a whisper, "of course we're going to worry, you're on our side!" What was with this woman and hostages?! First ********* and now this boy.

Urg, if she was in better health she would go ramming speed at the short haired woman but she wasn't and her raised voice only irritated her throat more, sending her into a little fit of coughs. This so sucked!

"I can take care of myself!" Ixion shouted back at Hygeia. "Ixion Coal Rush!"

A decent sized lump of black coal appeared in Chibi Ixion's hand. Instead of throwing it forwards like he usually did, Ixion tossed it directly behind him into Painite's face. Apparently the universe was conspiring against the Captain, as the lump broke up into a cloud of black soot. Part of the cloud covered the back Ixion's own head.
