Soquili's Name: Mikhael
Name Meaning: Who resembles God. Mikhael is based of the name Michael.
Personality of Soquili: Mikhael is what others consider a rather soft spoken mostly-blind filly, she is rarely if not ever seen raising her voice above speaking level or displaying extreme emotions such weeping loudly, or laughing out loud. Despite her behavior of never showing any other nature than a collective calm she is neither shy nor short on courage and has little fear of approaching others or getting into situations of danger. She is not one to see right or wrong but merely the way the world has provided fate upon others. Mikhael does not feel that if a beast slaughters another beast that it is not cruel but the way the Earth is designed. Mikhael believes that dreams are messages not merely a phase of useless images floating in one’s mind after they slumber.. She has rather vivid dreams of her own and believes that they have important meaning of what will come, even if it is to her or to those around her. She has particular interest in hearing other dreams and will interrupt what they mean, however she holds those that she tell responsible for listening and following.
Prompt Responce Prompt 2 The smell of dampen earth lingered in the air as the humidity clung like a heavy blanket making even the filly’s own coat soaked with sweat. She could hear the faint voices of her siblings playing underneath the watchful eye of her father as their mother slumbered unaware of the events surrounding her. Mikhael had little to no interest in playing at the moment she wanted to sleep, or at least she wished she could so she could dream. However she was not like her mother, Mikhael had no gift in being able to simply drift to sleep without a moment hesitation and her dreams seemed farther away from her like the sun that hung in the sky.
She closed her eyes tightly again as she tried to count series of numbers in her head however fate seemed to keep her from her wished as the noise of wings and hooves grew close to her surroundings. Raising her head the scent of a somewhat familiar being drifted in her nostrils as a murky vision of what they looked like appeared in her mind. It was a red and white figure with large glorious pair of wings and long white mane with a set of horns adorning his forehead. The image was made merely by the various collections of things her siblings had told her, if it was truly how he looked like Mikhael was not sure she had to see him in her dreams.
Knotting her brows she turned towards the direction of the noise, “Why have you come Ramiel I did not expect you to show? Are you here to see father?” Her voice was soft and barely audible like a whisper lingering in the wind; however she could sense that it was not him he was looking for. Instead of responding to her he moved closer letting his breath crawl down her neck as he spoke in a deep voice that lulled in her ears.
A riddle? How unusual it was for one to take such interest to ask her such things, yet a light smile played on her lips as Mikhael thought of her answer.
“I am not tired, I cannot like sleep like mother so in your words I am not like her. Yet I am always wondering like father, I always wonder what things look like. I am not however, worried, there is no reason to worry," she replied her whisper of a voice
"If I was like mother I could sleep whenever I want to Ramiel, but I can't which means I am more like father. Though you should already know this," she replied her pleasing voice giving away the hint of amusement as she . "Besides those without always wonder what it is like to have something they are unable to obtain why should I be any different?" Mikhael gave a flick of her tail as she looked towards the direction that her family voices could be heard, she believed in her dreams they were her gateway to a world she could not see yet the voice of doubt lingered in her mind. Could what she see there really be how things looked there?
Why do you want this basket?: The misguided family has a lot of various quirks and interesting personalities that I would love Mikhael and I to be involved with. I love how well each of the family members have their own traits as well that despite their dark and twistedness the family does have with that subtle dark but not evil sense.

Soquili's Name: Bereale Name Meaning: A made up combo of Bereshit aleph (Bere- ale-), the first chapter of Genesis, which is written on an egg.
Personality of Soquili: Bereale is a fairly gentle soul and physically dainty. She has a penchant for sticking to her mother's side, but that very need to feel safe is constantly at odds with a niggling urge for adventure. As a filly, she satisfies the urge with small things, such as eating different foods or wandering a short ways away from her family (always within sight, of course). The older she gets, the larger her adventures become as she searches for the excitement that will finally allow her to settle down in life. However, there will always be that need for the comfort and safety that only her family can provide.
Prompt Responce [Prompt 1] Yellow dandelions were always a little bitter. As she lipped at a bunch of them, Bereale could feel her cheeks pinching. There was something she really liked about the taste, though. Perhaps it was the adventure. Since she and her siblings had been weaned off of mother, it seemed like they had eaten nothing but grass and leaves. Greenery was nice, it was usually a bit sweeter, but she enjoyed variation. Blame it on the ever-changing environment that was her family.
With a nose to the grass and the sounds of the nearby stream, it took a moment for her to notice the soft breath coming from the larger female that had been grazing at her side. Momma was no longer moving. She hadn't dipped her head down for a bite since the filly started on her coveted bunch of weeds. When she was younger, Bereale would have worried. Until she was able to understand the idea that a strange illness gripped some members of her family it had been scary when Josephine suddenly stopped moving. Now, she knew what to expect.
Glancing up and to the side, she noticed that Momma's head was dipped and the breath she had heard was the gentle grasp of sleep after all. She lifted her head away from the meal, almost unwillingly, and took a few steps until she could see around the side of the mare. If it hadn't been so long since she had heard her siblings, she probably would have returned to eating without a thought.
"Hello?" she muttered, peering sneakily past her mother's chest. If she wasn't so used to the sight of Poppa's large wings, she might not have noticed him and her sisters off in the distance. She could only assume that Sethe was hidden behind the stallion where she just couldn't see. Well, there wasn't much else to do now but go back to eating. Turning on her hooves, she started towards her treat as a wind blew heavily through the clearing.
"Woah!" she shouted, watching Momma bend in the wind, but not topple over. Bereale toddled unsteadily for a moment and the breeze picked up again, tossing a few decapitated dandelion heads across the ground. "Wait up!"
Despite the batch of weeds that still remained for eating, Bereale found herself chasing the flower tops away from her mother's side. They flipped and flopped and most of them eventually ended up stuck by a rock or a heavy patch of grass. One made it all the way to the stream, though, plopping face up on the water. And as it flowed slowly down, following the motion of the stream, the little filly suddenly felt something other than hunger well up in her stomach.
There was a twinge of excitement as she clopped at the edge of the water, back and forth, back and forth, following the journey of the little dandelion top. It caught in a tiny whirlpool. Her expression fell. "Goooo!" she urged, but the toy looked unable to free itself. The look on her face was nervous, unsure, but the longer she watched, the more she wanted to save the little boat that she had grown so quickly and strangely attached to. A tentative hoof lifted from the ground, shivering over the surface of the water until she was able to reach the flower top. Poking and prodding and shaking the water didn't seem to be working, at least no-
A bush at her front rustled loudly and a rabbit bolted from the cover, startling her from her shaky balance and down onto her knees in the stream. With the earlier game forgotten, she let out a little shout, flailing around in the small stream as if she truly feared drowning. It was a few minutes later that it finally sunk in. Her kicking was getting her nowhere. Bereale was suddenly grateful that her siblings were too bust with their father to see her make a fool of herself.
Struggling to a stand, she hobbled back to Momma's side, casting a glance back only to see if the dandelion top she had been following was still caught in the baby whirlpool. It wasn't... She supposed her mad attempt to escape had either squashed it or sent it on its way. A slight pout stretched her lips as she rounded her surprisingly still sleeping mother, back around to the patch of dandelions she had been nibbling at before the small misadventure at the water's edge. Unfortunately, the weeds didn't look quite so appetizing to her churning stomach anymore.
Why do you want this basket?: Largely because I've always loved the idea of the family dynamic and for a long time I didn't have an Soq with a large family (minus Apocolypse, who I only recently acquired RP rights to). Even if there isn't much RP, I'd love to plot in a family setting. A lot of interesting life experience comes from who they grow up with and this family would make an interesting one to grow up with.

Do I Make you Proud? Username: hanging gallow Soquili's Name: Allegro Amachi Name Meaning: Quick, bright Personality of Soquili: As Allegro's name state he is rather optimistic and intelligent when, finding little reason to let the world bring him down. His passion lies in playing and writing music to him it almost like a puzzle piece in creating melodies for various instruments and voice to mix harmoniously. He can be a little oblivious and unaware of his own surroundings even more so of other's emotions when he is thinking of a new creation in his head. Allegro generally isn't mean however he can mistakenly not understand someone's purpose when talking to him, or be unaware of when he is somewhere dangerous. He is more inclined to tell the truth and be rather blunt then trying to protect someone's feelings. Prompt Responce The breeze swept past grabbing the long knob like fingers of the branches shaking them lightly as if to greet the foal as he lingered below. Allegro had lost sight of Cuauhocoatl, his guardian, however he seemed rather unaware of the issue as he continued in step. He had been humming a light tune to himself however by the appearance of the frown on his face he was not satisfied with it completely. He knew it was missing something, the melody, was missing something in his head a certain sort of note or maybe a different chorus and beat. "Something....something....... and I am lost," he replied pausing as he looked around, nothing seemed familiar or at least not of recently. Allegro had to admit trees and directions were not his forte however this gave him two problems from his previous one. A set of uneasiness began to settle in his stomach, he wasn't exactly worried. Well he was a little worried but the large angeni couldn't have gone too far yet, sure Allegro couldn't remember the last time he had seen the large fellow but still? "Ummmm Cuauhocoatl? You out here?.... Somewhere?" Allegro yelled at the top of his lungs a causing something small and furry to scurry further up a tree. He had hoped that he was nothing more than a few beats away from where he stood however the lingering silence told him otherwise. He could feel the fear creep up from his stomach into his throat, the tune in his head starting to speed up as if responding to the rhythm of the heart beat. A bird shrieked from somewhere above his head causing him to jump as a shiver crept down his back. Never in his short life had Allegro felt this alone. He wasn't any different from any other colt in the idea of leaving home and adventuring all over the land yet now that he was standing on the brink of such adventure and he wanted to get home as fast as he could. Picking a direction, or at least one that didn't look like he had come from he started to pick up his pace. The tune in his mind was increasing tempo as the thumping of his heart started to echo in his ears like a drum, another bird let out a song. This one was a softer noise, something like a lullaby dancing lightly over a darker undertone of fear. "Cuauhocoatl?" He shouted again as his feet started to break out in a full gallop at every rustle of brushes and trees. His heart had now overpowered his ears sending a heavy ominous threat as the his melody lingered out of harmony as if the notes were pulling apart. Allegro closed his eyes tightly as if he was almost too afraid to look where he was going. Smack! The colt ran straight into something warm and muscular and the beating of heart died away as another bird sweetly sung a soft tune. "Cuauhocoatl!" Allegro cried looking at the familiar face that was full of puzzlement. Allegro had little idea that he had only disappeared for nothing more than a short hour yet to him he felt it had been half a day of fear. As they returned to the herd Allegro had a new tune in his head, one filled with various tempos of haunting beats and lingering soft melodies that he was sure would earn him his second bell. _________________________ Do you RP?: Yes Example(s) of RP: XXXHow active are you in Soquili?: I work there, but in all fair warning I am not good about posting in the main thread. Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?: I don't deserve it more than anyone else however I love this family in particular seeing Mecho and Melody starting out separated and then ending up mating (I was excited about this I was hugely disappointed when they were at first not lifemated). There is also Ikinya and Cuauhocoatl who are a major part of the Amachi family that are rather interesting couple as well. All in all other than being a fan I like the established family and the kids being a part of the family's life and being rped and actually being a part of plots if not several different ones. It is a bit of a bummer to have a large family that has little to no interaction with one another. Why do you want this basket?: The same reason as I stated above....

Soquili's Name: Stasja {Russian} Name Meaning: Resurrection.
Personality of Soquili: Stasja will be apathetic, and seemingly emotionless. Her face is usually always straight, eyes opened consistently at a normal position. With her very differing parents, and rather dysfunctional family, the filly had learned to keep mostly to herself, and disconnect almost entirely from her kin. She is calculating, and seemingly conniving in the way she looks at others. Intruth, she is simply observing, and judging carefully... like a snake gauging whether you are enemy, or prey... In her eyes, Stasja is an 'island of her own'. With her mothers odd habit of randomly dozing off, and her father's unstable mind, the girl felt it was in her own best interest to go about life learning and growing on her own. Though she may stay around the family, she is still isolated in mind and heart, even if her body is there. She does, however, find small interest in her grandmother... often times wandering after the old mare, following her to see what she does, and how she acts. But it doesn't last too long.. especially if Sabriel changes persona's. With her guarded, and cold front, the foal finds company in... surprisingly, little woodland creatures. She absolutely adores small fluffy critters. As strange as it may seem, but she won't let anyone else know... However, she does sometimes crave blood, causing her to go just a tiny bit feral. She doesn't need a lot, but it can drive her a bit haywire if it's not slated. In such cases, she usually takes a nick to her sleeping mothers hide, or finds a fish to catch.
Quote: Prompt 2:Wandering around one day, you come across your great uncle, Remiel, who decides to delight himself with a little conversation. Leaning close, he riddles a question to you. Light in the clouds like father, or sleepy headed like mom. Are you the kind who finds themself tired suddenly like she is, or always wondering and worried like your father? How does this make you feel? I don't expect a huge explanation. . . you are just a child. How do you respond?
Prompt Responce
Bright glowing teal eyes gaze up at the towering stallions cloudy whites, unblinking, unnerved by his presence or crooned words. They don't seem to even reach the filly, so it seems, as her body shows no sign of even noticing his voice had spoke. But it is only a few moments before she answers him, voice plain, and flat, "I am not them. And they are not me. They have given me life, but they do not control who I may be." she takes another pause, body rigid, still, almost as if she were a marionette or a statue, "I feel nothing. I never do." with her reply short, as he'd asked, the foal remained frozen, not even a strand of hair wavering, or tail twitching. That cold, blank stare did not budge from her uncle, even if he were to turn.. watching him... observing him. Learning him. Why do you want this basket?: The family is quite interesting to me. I'd love to play a character who's really 'out there', in Soquili!

Soquili's Name: Nehlamyte [Nehelamite] Name Meaning: dreamer; vale; brook
Personality of Soquili: Much like her mother, she is a dreamer, but is plaqued by ghastly nightmares looming at every corner while she sleeps. She is hopeful and bright while awake, but fears what dreams may come. A tad paranoid, she could swear she feels the darkness creeping across her flesh, seeking out her weaknesses. Prompt Response (#2) Nehlamyte's face dropped all emotion as she heard her dear uncle finish his riddle. She was used to family asking what she'd been up to since they last visited or their 'My, how much you've grown!' comments. She was surprised by his undisguised question; did he have something against either parent? She would not stand for such things, but knew she'd best answer her uncle, or face certain discipline for disrespecting her elder family member.
"I'm not sure I understand you, Uncle Remiel."
She briefly dug her foot into the soil before her and struggled to keep his gaze. Uncle was intimidating, to put it gently. He wasn't quite like anyone Nehl had met before in her young life, and hated to think their could be more like him, unrelated to her.
"If you mean to say, who I most resemble, I'd have to say Father. While I love Mother, despite her sleeping spells, I hate how she confuses dreams for reality. I am real, she may one day forget this and I fear it so!"
Tears stained her cheeks. Her worst fear was realized. It was true, she feared the darkness looming about, but what scared her to death, was the possibility that she may one day lose her family. People could lose themselves in their personalities, but her mother, she could get lost in whim. Nehlamyte shook her mane, flinging the rolling tears from her face. She blinked to clear her eyes and ease her breathing back to normalcy. She looked to Remiel again, face red from emotion and embarrassment.
"Uncle... I worry. I worry a lot. Father does too, but I can find no fault in this. He is a good stallion and one day I would like to be a good mare. He is realistic and while he may not be perfect, he is himself, and he is my father!"
She rushed past her uncle, intent on locating her father. She needed to tell him what she'd just revealed to Remiel; that she was scared of being lost or left behind. Too much was at stake, three siblings meant a lot of responsibility, but also, a lot of love. Nehl loved them all and her parents, but their mother's dream world was weighing on her psyche. And possibly, poisoning the well?
Why do you want this basket?: Of my five Soquili, I own one female. I find my muses leaning more towards the fairer sex these days and I am greatly interested in this basket's family. The contrast of the white and dark blue/black is incredibly appealing.

Soquili's Name: B'midbar Name Meaning: Numbers (as in book 4 of the Torah)
Personality of Soquili: B'midbar can get impatient with her parents, though she loves them as any foal would. Her mother's tendency to fall asleep without warning scares her, so she tries to hide it with scorn and eagerness for Josephine to awaken. Her father is another rock that can suddenly vanish, leading B'midbar to be a fairly stressed filly. She is uncertain of herself, especially around strangers, and fears that she'll grow up to be just like her parents - unreliable.
Prompt Responce The young filly looked up and up and up at Uncle Remiel. He was big and tall and handsome and striking...and remote-looking, like a statue. A statue that went and killed things and got blood on it and didn't care. B'midbar shuddered at the uncomfortable comparison. She didn't like dealing with death or even thinking about it. That was a fear of hers - what if Mommy suddenly fell over and died, and they didn't know 'cause they thought she was just asleep? What if Daddy walked blindly off a cliff or something, just 'cause he couldn't see well? The filly didn't like those kinds of thoughts, not at all.
But Uncle Remiel had asked her a question, well, a lot of questions, and Mommy always wanted her to be polite and answer questions when asked by a grownup. "No, I don't fall asleep like Mommy," she told the stallion truthfully. "I wouldn't want to!" the filly added vehemently. To spend so much of her time asleep that she thought her friends and maybe her family were just dreams, ugh! What a creepy life!
"I...I guess I worry a lot," she admitted grudgingly. "But what if something happens to Mommy - or to Daddy!? I don't want them to die!" B'midbar whined. It was her deepest fear, that they would die and leave her alone because every now and then she was mean to them, scornful of them, wished they were not as distant or different from "normal" parents. If they died, it would be all her fault and she'd feel awful and she'd probably get sick and die of grief and it would be a good thing and nobody would miss her because she was an awful daughter.
The foal's train of thought came to a screeching halt as it ran right into the wall of guilt and she burst into tears and fled from Uncle Remiel to sob next to her mother until Josephine should wake up and ask what was wrong.
Of course by then B'midbar would have cried herself out and be too embarrassed to say anything. Thus the cycle would begin again.
Why do you want this basket?: Because I luff da Norp and wish for moar chances to arpee with her. Also I ADORE plot/RP heavy families. <3

Soquili's Name: Lirael Name Meaning: Made up name by Garth Nix it's the 2nd book in Abhorsen trilogy which is a good read. I picked it because it sounds a bit like the grandmother's name and would fit in with the family.
Personality of Soquili: Lirael is what one would call a mind child. She's a cerebral soq that uses her mind and as a result is incredibly intelligent and a great problem solver. Perhaps she places to much importance on her mind and often over-thinks things. Lirael as a foal is often found to ask "Why?" ex. Why do clouds race around the sky and things of such nature. Lirael is naturally inquisitive and extremely curious about everything and often her curious nature can land her into some delightfully funny but sticky situations. On the flip side Lirael over zealous mind causes her to become extremely filled up with anxiety. Her biggest fear is that her family will abandoned her. Which is very silly since she's extremely well loved by all. Perhaps it's her fathers genes that cause her anxious nature. Lirael is extremely well behaved and helpful to her family for she feels if her family feels like she is needed she will not be abandoned. Her anxiety causes her to all ways keep a close eye on a least one family member and she tries not no listen to the nagging voice in her head that tells her she is not worthy of her family. Lirael embarrassing trait is she often talks to herself and when she get's extremely frustrated or angry she ignores those around her faces a corner away from others and often rants about the injustice of the world and the silly circumstances that happen to her. Also Lirael has a very unique dry sense of humor that at times she's the only one who understands. Prompt Responce
Lirael became excited as she spotted her great uncle, Remiel. He was always someone she could be relaxed around but as he opened his mouth she became puzzled by his words. She tried not to do a typical Lirael move and that was to over think every situation. If Lirael has truly gotten upset at Remiel she most likely would have faced away from her uncle and gone on one of her usual rants. However after a moment of thought she realized he probably meant no offense and she was over thinking things...yet again.
"What a curious question?" She answered while looking at her Uncle. "Why do i have to be like either of them in the first place. I am a unique and wonderful just the way i am." At her uncles stupefied expression she changed her tactics a bit. It wasn't like she wanted to shock the old boy. " I don't believe i will turn out to be like my mother. I don't have the inclination to sleep the day away like my mother.. but if i did I'd carry around a satchel of food and if i did fall asleep why one would only wiggle a piece of food under my nose. Why I'd snap my eyes wide open and gobble that food down. So fast you wouldn't know what hit you! After all their no sense in wasting perfectly good food. " Lirael nodded her head enthusiastically.
"As for my father," Lirael paused for a moment deeply thinking. "Well his blood does seem to flow down my veins. I'm nervous by nature and am always fearful. I over think everything and often draw incorrect conclusions and can become angry and start to go off on some embarrassing rant ignoring all others around me." Lirael became tearful as she went on. " I have a great fear that someday I'll wake up alone. With no family around me for they would have disappeared. I'd have be forgotten."
Lirael gazed her baby tear stricken eyes at her great uncle, "but you wouldn't forget me would you? Lirael gazed at Remiel as tears ran down her face.
Why do you want this basket?:. I've never had the chance to do any big family rp and i'd love to have the chance. I admire the family and secretly drool over them plus the basket is gorgeous and it reminds me of a koi fish.

Soquili's Name: Tairyn Name Meaning: Has no meaning, made up the name.
Personality of Soquili: Ever cautious Tairyn will always think before acting. While not overly fearful she does often worry that her mothers illness will one day effect her, even though there have been no signs of it to this day. It is best to avoid situations that may prove dangerous should she suddenly be effected by a sleeping spell. Because of this Tairyn isn’t very outgoing at all. She prefers the company of her family where she knows she is safe and well protected, even if life isn’t perfect all of the time. Prompt Responce Tairyn blinked once, twice, three times. Her great uncle had posed an interesting question and she would need to think a moment before answering. It was not every day the foal was asked such things and she thought it best to not rush into an answer. In truth she did worry, perhaps not so much as father did, but enough to make her stand back and fuss over her decision before doing anything. So far she had not seen any effects of her mothers sleeping sickness within her, and while that was a relief Tairyn knew that that didn’t mean she was completely free of it. There was a chance that it could effect her later on and for that reason she stayed close to home, to those she cared for and those who cared for her. Chewing her lip in thought Tairyn look up at her great uncle.
“I am both I think.” She finally said with a slight bob of her head. “I worry like father does, but not as much. I worry that I may fall asleep like mother and I fear what will happen if I do.” Tairyn did not want to get hurt because she was suddenly unable to remain awake. She could be at the mercy of predators, the elements or anything else should that happen. “When I know for certain that I will not be effected like mother is then I might worry less.” That day could be weeks or even years away, but she would not and could not afford to let anything to happen to herself until she knew for certain. For the time being she would remain as she was, cautious, nervous, reserved and most importantly safe.
Why do you want this basket?: This basket stood out to me in a number of ways. The simple design and coloring really drew my attention. Then I began to look into the family and I must admit I was hooked. This family is really quite interesting in the dynamics of it and I would love this basket so I could be a part of that. I love to RP and plot and having this basket would allow me to do so with many other people and their Soquili.

Do I Make you Proud? Username: Kailey Koreco
Soquili's Name: Rhapsody Amachi Name Meaning: A music piece of free-form and contrasting moods, it can be seen as spontaneous in inspiration.
Personality of Soquili: Spontaneous. Rhapsody is as rhapsody does, full of energy and a seemingly lack of foresight when he acts or speaks. He's not much a fan of regulations or orderly fashion, preferring just to go with the flow and enjoying the journey while he's at it. And throwing in a few random stones here and there to play in the resulting waves. Planning? Organization? Bah, says he. While he might simmer down a little as he grows, as a foal there'd be few things in life that could get him to sit still for long, even if he's constricted to just bobbing his head to a tune in his head - better yet, let him hum the tune.
There's times his active nature can get him in over his head - though he's a quick wit, sometimes it's not fast enough to keep up with his own antics or speech. He often blunders into things, not fully thinking about how his wording could be taken by someone else. Not one to be malicious, he's always more than happy to rewind and reexplain himself... it just might take him a moment to catch up with first why you're upset, then rewind his brain to remember what exactly he just said. This can also be attributed to a bit of a short-term memory problem - if you tell him your name in one second, he'll probably be asking you to repeat it a moment later... and then possibly a moment later after that... but rest assured! Once he sees you again a few days later, he'll be calling out your name quite happily. How accurately he'll remember every piece of the conversation, though... It's a wise idea to get him to repeat important information a few times before sending him on an errand, if only to ensure he's got it down pat. It is due to his difficulty memorizing things, though, that he often repeats and rehearses songs again and again and again - potentially to the annoyance of those around him - to try and combat this forgetfulness. It might take him a little while to stick things to memory, but this boy's not muck lacking in determination when it comes to things he enjoys.
Prompt Responce
In retrospect, it was probably not the smartest idea to gallop off through the underbrush like that. Especially when one's Guardian is an angeni. Rhapsody frowned a little to the woods that closed in about him, ears twitching in faint curiosity to each whisper of wind, creak of a tree limb, or rustle of leaves. Scared? Him? Not particularly. Surely the old man must be around somewhere, or so was his firm belief. But still. No use in standing still hoping to be stumbled upon... He kept up a frisky little trot through the forest, bright eyes flickering from surface to surface in their search. Green, green, more green... none of the purples, blues, blacks, or browns he was searching for. The young stallion let out a puff of air akin to a sigh, shoulders bunching briefly in a shrug. Some pale colors caught his eyes a few times, but each were only tricks made by the shifting sky just beyond the canopy, a clear expanse that threatened no mercy from the summer's rising star.
Even there in the cool shade temperatures were rising a little, though he was grateful for the small breeze that tickled its way through his mane and across his coat. Between that, the beat of his hooves against the soft soil, and the twinkling bell, a small melody began bubbling in his throat, a random concoction of the rhythms.
"'Eyo, sweet guardian, where do you wander now? Do your wings carry you onward now? Does sunlight glint where your eyes shine - be you lost in shadows' prowl? 'Eyo, sweet guardian, where do you wander now~?"
For a moment, he pranced in place, eyes to the sky as he wondered if Cuauhcoatl would be magically summoned by his tune. No such luck. His ears twitched backwards in unease, but he wasn't quite sure if he was afraid or not of it all. Instead, he focused on the tune. The melody kept up in his head, repeating the verse vocally and singing along in his mind as he hummed, but no other lyrics came to him as he continued along his way. In another part of his mind, he was growing a slight bit flustered. How was he supposed to find something worthy of his Second Bell, if he couldn't even find his godfather out here? His current path of sorts set him towards the plains, maybe flit over the foothills of the mountains to see what sorts he could meet around there and potentially learn. Outside the herd's range, of course~
...just, y'know, needed to find Cuauhcotal first. But he was enjoying the sights, even if his withers did prickle a bit at each branch snapping, or distant bird call... each flapping of wings had him jumping, legs lifting high in a almost joyous dance- till he each time realized it was yet another bird and not the winged equine he searched for. An annoyance, a slight worry - but was he really afraid? No no, of course not! Why be afraid of anything out here? The angei was probably just out of sight, watching him, making sure he didn't run into trouble. And what was the worst that could happen? Slip and injure his leg- er. Actually, that would be a bit of a problem, now wouldn't it?
His pace increased a bit, and with it the pace of the song in his head. Oh, but... he could hear something moving along with him. He tried singing out loud again, to see if it would deter his apparent companion or not. It did nothing - neither slow nor speed up their pace. So he listened in as he continued to sing, brow wrinkling a little bit as he tried to divide his mind so. The footsteps certainly weren't heavy enough to be Cuauhcotal, or anyone else he knew... but they weren't light enough to be a rabbit's. The unease from before began to trickle in, stronger and warping the tone of his song. The lyrics became more spaced apart as his breathing became deeper, his steps lengthening in the growing desire for speed. The other footsteps sped up, as well.
He wondered briefly if he should make a mad dash for it. But wouldn't that make whatever it was chase him down? But he didn't want to just be caught by whatever it was... what if it was a Kalona? But surely it'd sound bigger than this... or did they come in mini-sizes? Lost in his thoughts, he wasn't aware of how the footsteps closed in, till at last a doe darted out before him. Letting out a sharp cry, he balked, rearing up slightly in his own alarm. His hooves lashed in the air wildly in self-defense, but his would-be attacker had already continued on her merry way, leaving Rhapsody to land with a thud and heaving chest. Somewhere up ahead, he could hear the sound of water licking against rocks beneath the sound of his own panting and thundering heartbeat. Beyond that..? A familiar deep voice, calling out his name. Pulse still fluttering in his veins, the youth took a few careful steps towards the familiar sounds before he glanced back to where the doe had run off. Somehow, he didn't think he'd be making a song about this little adventure to belt out to his family upon his return.
No he'd... he'd just keep looking for that special thing to earn his Second Bell. Yep. This little memory could be lost to his mind for all he cared....
...just like the song he was singing before, crap! With a suddenly heavy heart, and lowered head, he crept on forward towards where the angeni was. This was going to be a long trip.... _________________________
Do you RP?: Very much so~ I'll admit to having taken a hiatus from Soquili when it comes to Rping, but have been starting to get back into the swing of things as of late. I can always be found on AIM to be tackled for Rp - or to tackle others <3 - and though I might be slow in tagging back at times, I've a deep love for Rping and plotting. Character development and random laughter ftw >>~ <3
Example(s) of RP: Linking to Rps from a different shop, as those are more up to date :> <3 We Who Fly on Ebon Wings Just a Holy Fool Late Night Shopping
How active are you in Soquili?: I'm far more active on AIM and talking/plotting through there than I am in the main thread. Trying to change that, little by little, however. I do have another b/c shop I'm part of, and am also staff at, but Soquili is one of my first shop communities to be a part of, so even if I might be slow in responding to things, I can't see myself ever actually leaving it. I like the people and characters here too much >>; <3
Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?: I adore this family ;;~ <3 I do know some of the owners of the family members, which to me means no awkwardness in approaching for family Rp and plots. PokeSoq are also very much loved, and they are muuuusicaaal~ 8D The culture of the herd they're in is also amazing, very intricate and really allows for interesting interactions and character growth. Between the interactions with humans and the open acceptance of other races, albeit those of non-evil persuasions, this basket would offer a very different approach to life than other Soquili I mainly Rp as of late.
Why do you want this basket?: Instead of just an overly responsible, well-mannered elder brother, I was struck with the idea of a much more active, vibrant, lively sort. While Rhapsody would be more than willing to help his parents care for his younger siblings, he'd do so more as a playful guidance counselor than a brooding guardian. The more I work on his personality, the more I quite enjoy the idea of him being both the goofy younger brother and yet the somewhat rambunctious elder. I think he'll be a lot of fun to play with and see how he fits into the family and herd~ His very bright coloring though, is what lead me to Rhapsody and his personality. Bright, happy, energetic - I can't see for the life of me him being the down and dreary type, even for a moment. Instead, his energy and spontaneous nature connects directly to the music he was named after - and the type he'd be bound to sing, in my idea for him. A mix-match of a variety of tunes, colors, themes and rhythms, all coming together to make an entertaining and lovable piece <3

Do I Make you Proud? Username: Ac.Wings Soquili's Name: Opus Name Meaning: Convenient method of numbering a composer’s works where a number follows the word “opus”. For example, Opus 28, No. 4. Personality of Soquili: Opus seeks order and is willing to be the enforcer of it. This sometimes makes him off to be bossy and a stick-in-the-mud because he isn’t as adventurous as his other relatives. Although many can be put off by his attitude, he really does care for his family and secretly wishes to be like the rest. At times when his siblings are off playing in the fields and he is left with his to-do list, Opus does wish he possessed a freer spirit. But as the eldest, the boy sees it as his duty to protect and be a good example around his siblings. One reason he tries so hard is because he wants others to be proud of him. Opus constantly works hard and practices his talents often. He believes there is a method to succeeding and one cannot get by just lazing around. Success does not come to you, you have to go and make it. Very organized, he is known for keeping lists. Needs to learn how to let loose and just relax, to feel the earth around him and not try to control it. Prompt Responce His idol, his star, was gone. Opus took a deep breath as he gazed over an infinite landscape. Now that he had lost his guide and guardian, Cuauhcoatl, the world seemed far too vast. The boy didn't even wish to take a step forward for fear of being swallowed up by nature's ravenous mouth. How could this happen? He had a plan. It was written out and designed to avoid complications, slip-ups, and most of all failure. Such a flawless list had taken him weeks to craft. His little bed of leaves had been littler with scripts covered in brainstorming ink. But none of that mattered now. The clever and always-put-together Opus was....lost. Never before had he experienced such a sinking feeling in the pit of his belly. Opus had to fight ever nerve in his being to avoid curling up into a ball amongst the grass and dirt. He couldn't just lie here and wait for death. This couldn't be the end of him. There was still so much of the future to plan. He had to keep going. If he recalled right it was best to search for life in the area. There he could find shelter, food, and water. Opus realized that if he was going to make it through this event he'd have to keep his mind focused. As he skittered off towards the area with the most trees and a few hawks flying around it, Opus was actually wishing he participated in dancing alongside his siblings. The poor lad found himself gasping and wheezing for air to rejuvenate his lungs. But luckily for the child as he ran through the bushes, ignoring the pesky sticky sap that clung to his hair, he had been right. There was a clearing hidden amongst the animals and trees. A little pond sat and sparkled in the sun. Opus grinned the widest he ever had when he saw this. What a beautiful sight. While he mapped his next move this would give him what he needed to survive. He had proven that he didn't need a list to live...at least...not all the time. Perhaps, when he was daring, he'd try to ease off constantly planning his life. While he partook in his small victory, Opus could of sworn he heard the jingling of a bell. _________________________ Do you RP?: Yes. I RP both in the guilds and over AIM and MSN. Although I can be slow I love roleplaying and will get back to them if I get busy. Example(s) of RP: Look on page 6 for an example. smile How active are you in Soquili?: I lurk often and do pop in. I enjoy taking part in contests and plots too. I greatly enjoy developing plots with my characters too and that helps my activity. Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?: I really enjoy plots and love to create characters and flesh them out. I'm open to ideas, love to chat, and am eager to create/explore stories. I feel like I could bring a lot to the table and have lots of fun. Why do you want this basket?: I would really like to have this basket so I can become a part of a fun and story driven family.

It was difficult to choose (And at times frustrating due to internet issues), and we had MANY Favorites that we kept bouncing back and forth and weighing options of... However after some narrowing down and going over the entries, Leo and I have decided our winners! The winning Boy from the actual Breeding is.... Kailey Koreco's Rhapsody AmachiAs for the Girl from the Mockbreeding, the winner is.... musicaloner7's Fermata Amachi@o@ And those of you who didn't win, don't give up hope: Not only is Nerpin's Contest next, BUT, while Mecho and Melody have had their final official breeding, there may be more mockbreedings in the future to share the love. Thank you all SO MUCH for your support over the last Two years. heart
