Kale narrowed his eyes suspiciously, but Marcia headed right inside. He warily sheathed his sword and limped after her, keeping his hand on the hilt of his weapon and his eyes darting back and forth between the people.

Selia followed Kale inside, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, it's safe here." She whispered. "What happened to you guys?" Selia's eyes were earnest and calm, practically saying that the the new quests were going to be okay, that there was no way the horrors outside would reach here.

Sebastian followed along with Valik. Sebastian offered a wet rag to Kale to clean up with while Valik gave them elven water and fresh bread. He sat on Boothe's bed. Boothe was a heavy sleeper, so none of this was bothering his sleep. Valik studied the two new guests. Sebastian's home was becoming a hospital it seemed.

Selia sighed and put the bowl down. "Eat, rest, and let me know if you need anything. I'm going to get Ryan, Sebastian." Selia said, and went up the ladder. Sitting on the empty bed, Selia punched the wall and buried her face in a pillow.. "I am going to kill Valik!" Selia screamed into the pillow. Composing herself, Selia stood and went over to Ryan's bed. She shook his shoulder lightly. "Ryan. Ryan wake up."
Ryan's eyes fluttered open and the image of Selia above him came into to focus. Ryan smiled and winked. "Morning beautiful." He said, laughing as he sat up and stretched. "What's going on?"
Selia just looked away at Ryan's comment, still furious with Valik. "We have two new guests."

Seeing the small girl wounded gave Valik pain. He slouched on the bed and tried to smile. "Do you need anything else, sweet heart?" he asked her. Valik loved kids, even planned on having a large family when he settled down with his love. Who, of course, doesn't exist. Valik was positive that he wasn't good enough, that love would never find him. Often he cried himself to sleep at the lonely thoughts.
Sebastian smiled at the new guests, then walked back into the study. Right now he wanted to be alone, mourn by himself, self medicate. He continued looking through the hand written books. Still he was finding nothing.

Selia looked around the room, and moved out of the way for Ryan. "Help out Valik with them please." Selia whispered, edging her way to the study. Sticking her head into the room, Selia saw Sebastian. "Do you still want some help?" She asked, standing in the doorway with her hands behind her back.
Ryan nodded, and gave Selia a slight push towards the door. "Go. Jeez...." He muttered under his breath. Going over to Valik, he knelt down. "Just let us know, I'm sure we have it." Ryan continued for Valik, smiling at the girl.

Sebastian rubbed his palms on his face as if rubbing off something. He took a deep breath, then let his hands fall to the desk. "You don't have to." he said weakly.
Valik shook Boothe's shoulder and spoke to him in Russian. "Prosypayusʹ , brat." (Wake up, brother). He turned back to the new comers as Boothe opened his eyes. "What's going on?" Boothe rubbed his eyes as he sat up. When he woke up, his accent was harsher than usual.

Selia looked at her feet, feeling the blush work it's way to her cheeks. "I know, but I want to help. But if you'd rather me not..." Selia took a step back, dragging her feet and tripping over a lose floorboard. Grabbing the door frame, Selia laughed.
Ryan looked at Boothe. "Two new people are here. Selia found them out side." He whispered to Boothe.

Sebastian appeared next to Selia, holding her back just in case she fell. He smiled at her and laughed. "You're lucky to have me, huh?" he winked.
Boothe smiled at the new comers. "I'm Boothe." he said. "Who are you two, anyways? I don't think I've seen you around the village."

Kale shot them a glare that was slightly softer then before as he mopped up Marcia's leg. "You haven't," he replied coldly, "We come from a long way away." His face hardened, if that was even possible. Marcia frowned down at him. "Don't be so mean," she scolded, "We come from Treyvador." She smiled up at them as Kale winced. Treyvador was a fairly large town, and word spreads very fast. They were bound to know about… well… he didn't want to think about it just then.

Selia smiled widely, pulling herself up. "I really am aren't I?" Selia said earnestly, looking Sebastian in the eye, analyzing ever feature in his face. His green eyes, his smile, Selia wanted to memorize everything in him. Very gently, Selia took Sebastian's hand in hers, wrapping her fingers around his.
Ryan heard the laughter from Selia and Sebastian and started his way over to the study. Seeing the shadows of their figures, Ryan saw them holding hands. 'It would be rude to interrupt....' Ryan decided to ask Selia what she was screaming earlier at a better time as he walked away from the study. He even pulled a curtain closed across the hallway to give them some privacy. "So do you guys need anything else?" Ryan asked, walking in on their conversation. Looking at Boothe, Ryan smiled and pointed at the study and nodded. 'It's about time!' He mouthed, holding back laughter.

Valik's hands clenched. Why do I always feel so angry now? it wasn't just anger, though. It was power. He dug his nails in his knees, his pants making a scratching sound at the contact. He felt as if something was trying to take over him. He stood suddenly, unable to not move any more. Valik paced around the room, trying his best to act casual.
Boothe raised an eyebrow at his younger brother. He pushed himself from the bed and grabbed a cane, which was really a long stick, that rested next to the dresser. Really, it was Sebastian's walking stick. "Valik?" he said as he limped over to him. Valik bumped into him by accident, causing Boothe to stumble backwards. "Valik! What's wrong with you?" Boothe flung his arm in the air as he spoke. Valik breathed hard and pulled at his hair. Am I going insane? he asked himself. He couldn't take it anymore. He ran out the door, towards the foggy woods. Boothe screamed after him, but he kept going.
Sebastian smiled at Selia. Again they were interrupted, but this time by a door slamming that shook the shack and Boothe screaming for his brother. Sebastian sighed and reluctantly went into the main room where every one was. "What now?" he asked. Boothe looked solemnly at Sebastian. "Valik. Just ran off.." he slowly limped back to his bed. Valik was much too stubborn to come back if some one were to go after him. Valik would come back eventually.

Ryan stared at the door, wondering what was going through Valik's mind when he stormed off. "Uh.... I'm going to go talk to him.." He said awkwardly, walking out the door and closing it behind him. But not before he gave a questioning look to Sebastian that screamed 'What happened in there!?'. After leaving the house behind, Ryan decided to just wait. "Valik?" He called, calm and ready for whatever was about to come.
Selia stayed in the study for a moment, looking at the floor. 'Be mature about this Selia. Stand up straight, put on your smile.' Selia thought to herself. Walking out into the main room, Selia sighed. "What happened?" She asked, even though all she wanted to do is be alone. "I'm guessing it has something to do with Valik, since he's not here, but it could also be Ryan." She said, leaning against the wall and crossing her arms across her chest. Her voice was cold, more icy then it had ever been.

Valik seemed to suddenly gain a speed like never before. Not as fast as Sebastian, but an extreme sprint. He burst into the dark woods. Fog covered the ground, making it all even more darker and eerie. The forest was silent. Not even a bird chirped. His mouth hung open as he gasped for air like a dog. He faced sideways from Ryan, his right side in Ryan's view. Valik had fangs, but he didn't notice. "What do you want?" his voice was husky and low.
Sebastian ran a hand through his hair. "Ryan won't be able to get Valik back here." he shook his head as he sat on the bed with Boothe. He looked to his new guests. "I apologize for my friend. He's very traumatized by the attack." he clasped his hands together.

Ryan shrugged. "Nothing really. But I'm sure Selia pretty pissed right now." Ryan laughed lightly. "And I was just wondering why you left in such a hurry."
Selia stayed at the wall, looking at her boots. "Yes, some of us can't handle reality very well." She said harshly. Guilt swept over her, and Selia sighed. "Sorry, I'm a little irritated right now." She smiled, hoping that she was forgiven.
