Laiha obligingly picked the head up from the table and tried to stick it back on. It nearly rolled off again, but she was able to nudge it back into place with her finger.
"...perhaps..." she hissed, pulling the straw out of her drink and offering it to Cady, "Stability."

Cady wasn't sure she knew what the word stability meant, but she could see what the ghoul was getting at. "Oh! That's an awesome idea. Thanks!" Without further ado, she took the straw and RAMMED it through the head. It's badly rendered expression squished a bit, perhaps in dismay. It looked like she'd stabbed right through one of the worms, too, and it started leaking dark guts all over it's head. Oh well. Now she just needed to figure out what to use for eyes... She needed two different colors. "Do we have anything that's green or blue?" she asked absently.

"Um."
Laiha tilted her head and patted her pockets. She certainly wasn't wearing anything in either color, and no bodily functions were reliably green or blue. She shook her head and drew his fingers together over her lower lip, looking around the room. Even the walls weren't quite blue...
In the end, the devourer could only shake her head, limp hair wagging.

Cady frowned sadly. She dug the bag of spookies she'd gotten earlier out of her pocket, digging around. She managed to pluck out a green-wrapped candy, and plugged it into one half of the head. Eh. It would do. She grabbed a few more pinches of food mush to give the lumpy figure little legs jutting from the front of it's torso.
She sat staring at it disconsolately for a few minutes. "Well, we still need blue, and like... This is all the candy I got. Maybe one of the booths will have something though! I mean I got all sorts of things and I didn't even really have to do much, so I'm sure we'll get something. Like there's this one booth, and it has LOTS of weird games where you have to throw stuff and flip stuff and fish stuff and I think I told you about this one already?" She looked at the other girl's plate.
"Oh, are you done eating?"

This ghoul, Cady, she had to be somewhat off in the head. Did she ever stop speaking? It was comforting, though, for Laiha to not have to worry about speaking herself. Socialization was awkward and imprecise, she didn't like it much... but this ghoul, she was reasonable.
"They're giving out candy?" the devourer asked, interest piqued. Sweets had always been a special treat, and to have them here at a school...
She peered down at her plate and nodded, deciding she could live without eating another plastic tray. Father would probably get angry if he had to pay loss fees. She stood, giving Cady's enormous sword another look, and nodded again.
"I am. Let's go." A ghost of a smile crept across Laiha's lips.

Cady grinned cheerfully. The horned ghoul had really had fun at the Desu-Usa booth - whatever that meant - and besides, she might run into her friends Cat and Ash while she was there!
She took her incomplete project and tucked somewhere she felt was sufficiently hidden and safe, and stowed the huge sword along with it. Satisfied they would be fine for the duration of their trip, she offered the other ghoul a hand, motioning toward the door.
Adventure time.

As Laiha followed, she remained safely inside her own personal bubble, her own hands empty as she toyed with her bracelet. How would other boils and ghouls react to her? She certainly hadn't met many in the first place...

Open house had been a bit rough on Mitsu but finally she was somewhere safe and where there was food. It was a hard decision though as she limped into the cafeteria. Sit down first or grab something to eat...the throbbing pain in her leg told her it would be best to sit down.
Shuffling to the nearest seat Mitsu sat down, her movements slow and stuff. Hopefully most of these injuries would take care of themselves during the night. She really didn't want to deal with being sore for days. Looking up to see if the others had followed, Mitsu decided to relax a little before getting some food. The cafeteria food was....interesting to say the least so she wasn't in a hurry to retrieve any.

Shun had stayed close to Mitsu as she looked rather unsteady while she walked on about. She never toppled though, so perhaps she was doing better than she appeared. Once they arrived to the cafeteria, he stood by while she found herself a seat.
Glancing back, he checked to see if Riyo was still there, before looking towards the wolf girl.
"Did you want something in particular?" he asked. He wouldn't mind grabbing a bite to eat himself and it would probably be easier on her if someone fetched something so she didn't have to walk more.
After asking this, he glanced up and around the cafeteria. It was fairly empty, probably because most of the others were in the main area. There were a few others around, though.

What a charming little place to eat food and make merry with classmates.
... If you were a masochist.
The colors were terrible, the smell was otherworldly, and the lunch... Lady? WAS that a lady? It looked more like one of her cat's hairballs that had grown a body and started walking around.
"Uh..." Riyo supposed she was spoiled, though. Her kitchen was quaint, and always kept clean, much like her dining table. And she knew what she was eating 100% of the time.
Jollymeal told her that it's so jolly she probably didn't want to know what it contained. "So... What do you guys recommend?" Since they'd obviously had to deal with this before...

It was getting kind of ridiculous.
Cady had been to the cafeteria at least 3 times in the course of the event, and she was fairly certain Gladys hadn't mentioned ANYTHING about moving stairways, changing doors, or morphing hallways. Probably.
Ok, she hadn't really been listening that well.
At any rate, the ghoul finally arrived at her destination, slightly winded and more than anxious to get to work. Fetching the candy from her pocket, she noticed...
...People. The previously deserted lunchroom seemed to have become a haven for them. Odd, but no matter. The already restless ghoul was going to put the Pedal to the Medal. Whatever that meant. Besides, she was fairly certain, judging from the skull tags, that they were all prospective students.
They couldn't ruin The Plan.
And so, she retrieved her oversized sword (compensating, Cady?) and her special project from underneath an unoccupied table, and got to adding the finishing touches.
((...why did I wake up to write this OTL))

Comfortably seated, or at least as comfortable as one could be in the seats of the cafeteria, Mitsu turned toward Shun. "O..oh yes. Please." Shifting around so that she could get her wallet Mitsu produced a few silver though from the look of it she didn't have much. Her weekly allowance was sort of slim.
Holding up the money Mitsu looked toward the lunch line trying to decide. "I..I guess just whatever this will get me." Her choices were rather limited with her funds but at least she had enough to buy meals....just not good ones. That and she had to save money to buy Milo FEAR candy. She wasn't certain Mr. Adolphus would approve of the pet so she hadn't mentioned him.

Nodding to Mitsu, he went ahead and took her silver seeds, glancing up briefly at the Manticore that had wandered on in. Was that a sword she was carrying? Shun furrowed his brow at the sight, as he stared for the moment. It looked like she was working on something. No matter. It likely wasn't his business.
"The sushi and chicken nuggets aren't too bad," he suggested, "Certainly not the best, but it's edible.. granted you don't let it sit too long."
Shrugging, he started to walk towards the ordering area to grab himself and Mitsu something.

Riyo couldn't hide a grimace when Shun added his little disclaimer about the food. Ugh.
Well... the feline supposed if this was going to be a daily prospect for her in the future, better start getting used to it now.
Moving closer to the lunch... Server... Riyo turned to look back at Mitsu and happened to notice two things.
One, her wallet was pitiful. Two, there was another prospective student with a big-a** sword sitting at one of the tables a short distance away. Almost immediately, her brows furrowed. Riyo had assumed that because they couldn't use magic of any sort, weapons would be frowned upon as well... Not that she herself was very good with weapons.
Reluctantly, her head turned forward again. There was no hesitance in what she wanted, considering the cat's massive craving for fish hadn't disappeared. Which meant she was in and out of there as fast as possible. Some of the smells in that area... Made her wonder just how safe what she bought was.
Maybe it would put some hair on her chest. Oh, yeah. That was all she needed. One more thing to be insecure about.

Waiting patiently at the table Mitsu put her wallet away again, taking this time to look around and see who was here. She really didn't know anyone but like the others her eyes settled on the large sword the person nearby had. At least her wide eyed expression wasn't visible passed her mask.
