What was that? A joke? The lioness blinked, it was...stupid, yet, she couldn't help but let a small chuckle escape her maw, bright golden eye's watching the bright pelted male. "True enough." That was odd. She normally never even cracked a smile at those bad jokes, even if they belonged to her brother, but Kavu...was different.
"You have a very...uhmm...refreshing sense of humour Kavu." She said softly, ear's flattening. Yeah, great way to say it Mpeka.

The tip of the Kings tail beat upon the ground gently as Kavu spoke. It made sense what he said. Kimeti himself had only ever wandered past the boundaries of the Firekin once and had help returning. "It's wonderful to have you two back. A shame mother isn't here anymore to see you, I am sure she would have been ecstatic. Oh, and speaking of mother, did that bird ever tell you why it took you away and mother didn't interfere?" Not that was a question Kimeti would love to hear answered.
Mpeka's advance caused the King to flick an ear and glance in her direction. Kavu on the other hand seemed to be much more interested in the lionesses actions and words than Kimeti was. With an amused raised brown the lion watched the interaction and conversation between the two.

Teleka looked at the erst of her family and smiled, "If you wish maybe one day I will help you look for her? I would have liked her to stay she was a good lioness somewhere behind the queen that I fear she will always be." He meant everything he said, he would follow Kijinga to death if it would make her happy.
He licked at his paw a little and remembered that he shouldn't have, one day he would learn! He chuckled to himself, "Damn Im stupid! How long did it take you to learn not to lick your paws because of the sand?" His brown eyes turned to look at her, oh how beautiful she was!

Teleka sighed, something was on the femmes mind. He took a while before following her though he did eventually get up and walk over. He sat a little way from the others, his head on his paws. His eyes flicked from Kijinga to Mpeka to the newcommers to Kimeti and they kept going round and round. He had nowhere in particular to be or go so he stopped and stayed where he was, he didn't want to interrupt any of them at all.

Kavu's grin widened even further, until he felt his face would crack from sheer joy. She didn't think he was stupid! Now, if he could just keep himself from saying anything else that was silly...
"Thanks." He replied, relieved, then let his eyes wander towards Kimeti as his brother spoke to him.
"No..." He lied, as calmly has he could muster, though he was eager to make all questions of Hestia fade into the background. "She didn't speak much. She told me to follow her, and I was foolish enough to listen... She tried to tell me that birds were superior creatures to us lions, but I knew she was lying. How could a creature many times smaller than us, with no powerful limbs or teeth or muscles, be more powerful than we are?" He chuckled.

Crimson eyes brighten at the prospect of spending time with Kiburi as well as doing something productive. At the question, Kirjava thought for a moment and wasn't too sure. Scanning the area around them, and only found a few red lions, she didn't think any of them were in the same position as Kib and herself. Shaking her head slightly as she replied, "I don't think so, Kib. They all look similar, unlike us. There might be more though." She hoped not, at least. Thinking back on her best friend's words that she wasn't free. It still irked her to no end.
Pushing herself up to her paws, she gazed at her sister. "When should we start our den, Sis? It looks like to me that everyone else is busy at the moment." She was eager to do something and away from everyone else here for the time being. They made her a little uneasy with her new tidbit of information. No longer could she do what she wanted to, but she had to do the whims of others. Placing a smile on her features and pushing all negative thoughts aside, she awaited to see what Kib wanted to do.

The thoughts that haunted Kirjava's mind did not even slip into Kib's as she stood beside her. For her mind alowed her to see every situation with a silver lining - even when it was quite obvious there wasn't one. What could be good about being a slave? Well...in Kiburi's mind it had given her a family, the sister she had always wanted. It was nice having a brother but...it just wasn't the same.
"Never mind!" Kiburi squeaked, "I suppose that's a good thing. Don't want too many lions here getting all involved in this." She shook her small frame and took a step away, gazing around the pride. She saw the lion speaking with one another, smiling and actually looking rather pleasant. She flicked an ear and gazed back at her sister.
"Perhaps we should sneak off now to find this den whilst they're all busy?" She waited for the lionesses reply, sun beating off her pale skin.
(( Kireiryuu - would you like to move the den-finding RP to another thread in the subforum? That way it'll be more organised ))
