After kicking it, the reaction of the dog snapping back at him with his jaws was expected.. and Felix managed to dodge out of the way of the teeth this time. Thankful for no repeat of the way his last fight went, where the large dog latched onto his leg, and then he could not get it to let go.
Felix quickly shifted his weight, coming across with his other foot now to kick at it. Hoping to once more... catch it across the jaw. That seemed to rattle the canine last time.
He could vaguely make out Rhaim in the clearing below, poking about the remains of the other dogs... who seemed to be unconscious.. or dead, from this position... causing a flash of remorse from Felix for the dog he himself was killing.

Again the canine took a strike to the face from the foot of the frightened small mailman. The fact that it came after the animal had missed an cause some injury only added insult to the action. It was fast becoming apparent that it was no match for the young shinobi before it. However the creature was not about to give up and let it prey upon the rest of its' pack because it was too weak. If the invading ninja wished to kill off the rest of the dogs then this one felt it had no right to survive the battle. After recoiling from the blow to its' face the dog whipped its' face back at the second kicking leg in an attempt to chomp down on it. The canine was not going to give up and let even a single human touch any of its' comrades in the clearing.

Rhaim stuffed the heel of his right foot into the eye of the largest dog in the sunlight of the clearing. The beast came all the way up to the teens' waist, laying on its' side. The action however went unchecked as a sickening sloshing sound came from the socket of the creature. Despite the fact that several chunks of the creatures flesh were missing and it was badly burned on the lower half of its' body, the Nara couldn't tell how or why it had died. He supposed blood loss but couldn't see any wounds that were deep enough to support the thought. With a sigh he resolved himself to the thought that he simply did not have the medical knowledge to figure out the cause of death. If it was actually dead.

Felix felt the dog as it bit back at his foot right after he kicked it. Of course he had expected this action, but he had not counted on the perseverance of the dog he was fighting... and he was surprised at its stamina even after taking such a punishment. He had to give it credit for trying as hard as it could.
Feeling the teeth of the dog snap at his foot, he quickly smashed the foot to the ground, attempting to hit the dog over the head with his knuckles once more. Felix felt his fist connect and he placed as much force as he could muster into it. He just hoped to end this quickly if he could, for the sake of the dog now.

The young dog grimaced more than it actually felt the need to as the boy landed a fist on top of its' head. The animal could tell that it was losing some of the power that it had been displaying power thanks to the dogs' intimidating display. It even began to think that it might have the boy actually on his heels and about to retreat. All that the poor creature felt it needed to do at that instant was hold out just a little bit longer. It was so close to driving away the invader and it could feel it. With its' head knocked downwards the dog swiped up at the childs' hand with a quick paw.

Rhaim was glad to move away from the seemingly dead largest dog of the area. Not taking the time to check the gender of the animal he guessed by its' sheer size and position at the 'front' of the group that it was the alpha. The teen moved his way over to the last of the animals which instantly reminded him of the one he had carried back to the village. His shoulders began to instinctively ache as he recalled just how heavy the beast was and how weak he was. The boys' speed was really the only thing that he had going for him in getting it back at all. With a sigh he lightly kicked the dog in the ribs, noting that it did have a steady rise and fall.

Felix felt the scratch on his hand from the paw of the dog and he grimaced, feeling pain. He was starting to forget that he was afraid and just moving into routine... hitting... getting hit... hitting.. getting hit... being scratched, bitten, growled at... tussling with the dog. Tussling harder than he knew was good for the dog.. and the dog fighting back with all it had.
Felix tried to steady his breathing as he brought his knee up, trying to hit the dog in the side with it. His small stature allowed him to actually attempt to knee it in the side. He felt the knee connect, and tried to place force behind the blow, even though he was still shaking.

The canine crumpled into itself as the enemy hit it in the side with a knee. The dog let out a painful gasp trying to draw in as much air as it could in order to replace what had been stolen. Suddenly the dog felt that the fight may not have been going so well in its' favor after all. The animals' vision was blurring as it stumbled back to its' feet and threw itself at the boy once more. Its' mouth wide open in hopes of finishing off the small mailman. In truth the creature was running purely on auto pilot by that point.

Rhaim went ahead and took a couple of steps past the last of the laid out dogs to where Felixs' utility pouch sat. The teen did not try to bend down to get it, his hands still in his pockets and balaclava still covering most of his face. He focused his attention to the other Genin out fighting against the dog, confident that all of the ones behind him were dead or soon to be dead. He called out to Felix without any flashy body movements or emotion in his voice, "Don't kill it! Just knock it out!"

Felix felt his knee connect and then the dog sort of crumpled away... obviously hurt at this strike. Felix watched as it stumbled back, as if surprised that it was actually loosing to him. To tell the truth, Felix was sort of surprised that he was winning with how afraid he was. He watched it stumble for a moment, then shake the blow off and charge back at him with its jaws open, as if in a last effort.
Felix glanced up for a split second as his concentration was broken by the shout from Rhaim... Alright.. Ill try not to kill it... but why..? Felix wondered what could be important about this dog... Rhaim definitely wanted to take a look at it though, and that peaked Felix's curiosity.
Felix brought his arm back around at the charging dog, hoping to catch it with the back fist.

The dog lost consciousness and was tossed to the ground by the most recent blow from the boy. With eyes shut and mouth wide open the beast laid knocked out cold on the ground. Other than the two cuts it had received from the kunai attacks early on, it appeared in relatively good shape. A small pool of blood form around its' mouth from the couple of blows it had taken to the head.

Rhaim still stood over by Felixs' pouch with his hands securely in his pockets. The teen jerked his head sideways and back a couple of times to motion for the other shinobi to come over to him. Despite not actually looking at the dead and dying animals behind him, he felt uneasy about walking away from them entirely.
