King of Kings The Story: He ruled over a Persian Empire extended to India, over all the adjacent islands and a great way beyond the Ganges as far as China, while Shahryār’s younger brother, Shāhzamān ruled over Samarkand. .
In the Story Shahryār is betrayed by his wife, which makes him go mad and believe that all women will, in the end, betray him. So every night for three years, the mad king takes a wife and has her executed the next morning, until he marries Scheherazade, his vizier’s beautiful and clever daughter. For 1001 nights in a row, Scheherazade tells Shahryār a story, each time stopping at dawn with a cliffhanger, thus forcing him to keep her alive for another day so that she can complete the tale the next night.
Eventually the king falls in love with her and when Scheherazade has no more tales to tell, he gives her and all women pardon and decides upon seeing their three sons to make Scheherazade his queen.

He is regal and honorable in both battle and politics. he has full confidence in himself and won't seek counsel of others especially mares. He is king and no one tells the king what to do. Ryar was betrayed once by a faithless Mare and healed by a faithful one. The Faithful mare he took as his mate and he found he loves her dearly. Ryar's mate is the only mare he secretly seeks the counsel of from time to time and actually listens to. She has produced him many sons and he loves them all they fill him with pride and reassurance that his line will proudly continue.

History
Past History: The people, had grown tired long ago of living in fear of their daughters. Seeing the time was right, they revolted some time after the stories ended. They couldn't forgive and forget. So many of their daughters were dead because his own Paranoia. Managing to escape, Shahryar and his mate found themselves in the oasis they now call home. Scheherazade, not knowing at the time of their departure that she was pregnant, His mate gave birth to their sons shortly after making a home of the new land.
Present History: It has been some time since the establishment of the new herd, since the birth of his first two sons, Ryar has been happy his eldest son had found a mate and produced a son and daughter. However, as time passed he came to understand his granddaughter acted as if she were the son, while his grandson was weak. Displeased Ryar broke Kamal's marriage to Basira demanding his son find a new mate.Kamal complied and is still searching. Happiness returned to the king when his wife announced she was once again pregnant. Four more sons and a daughter were born much to the king's joy. There was much celebration once the children were born. So many sons was a good omen! Allah be praised for such a blessing. The herd has returned to the calm quiet of everyday life as Ryar continues to train his sons who have all grown splendidly, even one whom he didn't think would.
