Ginelle was racking her brain. It was a few months ago that they did this in Transfiguration. "You have to have the right level of concentration... And the wand motion matters as well..." That was all she could remember at the time, thinking hard for more information. Maybe that was all she needed to know? Hopefully... Hopefully, as well, the Transfiguration teacher didn't lead her in the wrong direction.

Cerise smiled. This time it was a little scary, but still a true smile. Maybe the fact it was true was what added to the fear. "Excellent. We shall begin with the pronunciation." This time she addressed the entire class again. "The spell is Wingardium Leviosa. I'm sure you can hear the 'wing' in there, from our own English describing what's used in flight. Arduus, similar to 'ardium' is Latin for high. And with the Levis also from Latin, we get light, as in not heavy." She scanned the room, "Is that clear to everyone? The version of the Hover charm we use today has added Wing, for its use in flight. The spell originates from Latin, with its middle and ending." She nodded assuming she was clear enough unless someone raised their hand. "Now, say it after me a syllable at a time, Win. GAR. dee. um. Lev. ee. OH. sa." She conducted each syllable with her wand, insuring everyone came in together.

 Blaine tried to ignore the fluttering of her heart as she practiced the spell with everyone else. Wow, three other people, Blaine. Big woop, she thought. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said. She tried to say it as quietly as possible so she didn't draw attention to herself. She hated attention.

((I'm making it totally up to you; everyone else who has turned it in, did so by PM, but if you really want to post, go ahead.))
Cerise could tell not everyone was as enthusiastic about repeating the spell. Her eyes narrowed, as she hissed at the class, "saying the magic words properly is very important, too - never forget Wizard Baruffio, who said 's' instead of 'f' and found himself on the floor with a buffalo on his chest!*" Her face turned to stone, "I will never have a buffalo in this class, is that understood?" She raised her wand once more, "Now again!"

Amelia nodded silently. She'd been mouthing the words, but Meiko was right, no sound had come out. She was finding it difficult to focus in this class, with the discomfort everyone had with the teacher. It would fade, she promised herself, repeating aloud the syllables.

Ginelle nodded to the professor. 'Windgardium Leviosa' she thought. The spell didn't seem to hard to pronounce, but she could be all wrong. Without her wand, she decided to practice. "'Win-GAR-dee-Um Lev-ee-OH-sa'. Okay... Windgardium Leviosa!" She swished and flicked her wand, hoping for the best. The feather lightly levitated, but not anywhere near where she wanted it to be. She nodded, and took note of what she did wrong. She flicked too hard, she noticed, remembering how the professors was a very fluid motion. She gave it another shot. "Windgardium Leviosa!" She said. This time, the feather floated straight up with her wand, as she controlled it to float up to the ceiling of the classroom. She smiled, and let the feather come back down to her desk. Easy as that.

Meiko waited for her friend to do the spell patiently, speaking to her again as she noticed Ginny perform the spell. "Try practicing with the hand movement with your wand, and then try it with the incantation."

Fourth year Gryffindor Oh s**t, he kept thinking. He was late, because he overslept, and he was going to be killed. What would the professor do? Slice open his head and eat his brains? Maybe use the killing curse on him? That didn't seem all that painful. Well, I've had a good fourteen years. Except when I was thirteen.. Yeah, last year doesn't count. I've had a good thirteen years... He walked into the classroom, his robes all messed up, and his hair sticking every whichway. But, no matter. He waved his wand with an a muttered Accio under his breath, and his comb came rushing to his rescue. He took a seat in the back. Maybe he wasn't late? Looking around, Caiden noticed two things. One, he was the only 4th year here. Two, they were almost all first years, except for an older-looking Ravenclaw. Ahhh... he said with a smile. The Levitation spell. He remembered doing this, because he tried to use it on his professor. Well, something did raise, just not what Caiden wanted... His professors wig came off. A wig in the wizarding world? Crazy, right? You would think there would be a hair-growing potion, or something of those lines. But, the crazy dude was old... About 109 to be exact. "GOOD MORNING, Professor Benoit." He put a smirk on his face, wondering what she would do to him after booming the words good morning at her. This teacher was going to be fun for him to mess with. His legs were crossed under his desk, and he was leaned back in his chair with his arms over his head, relaxing his butt off.

((Gahhhhhhhhhhh. Stupid School. To much homework. She slid in her usual seat, trying to make it look like she'd always been there. Taking her wand out of her boot, she raised it in the air. "Windgardium Leviosa." She muttered, sounding it out. To her surprise, her book floated up in the room, flying, threatening to drop at any given moment. It floated over some people, reluctant to move to the moments of her wand. Stopping of some boy's head. It sat there for a moment, sitting there as she willed it to move. As soon as it was sitting there, it was fall twords him, fast. ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════╝ ((Sorry. Feeling evil. 8D ))

As Meiko waited for her dear friend to do the spell, she noticed a young Gryffindor girl, levitated a book which hurriedly fell towards the boy's head.
Meiko swiftly pulled her wand out and incanted after swishing and flicking her wand at the book. Wingardium Leviosa~"
Before the book could hit the boy's head, it stopped immediately after Meiko saying the incantation. The book levitated back to the girl's table, and Meiko said to the girl after sighing with relief. "You should focus on what you are doing, miss."

Cerise was pleased with Meiko’s involvement. Her quick ears could hear who was participating and who was not. For once, finally she felt as if she had an ally within this room. She directed the incantation again before she heard a lone voice. Ginelle, one of the first years had the nerve to cast the spell without her. Silently, she cast Expelliarmus, catching the girl’s wand in her free hand. “Five points from Gryffindor, for going ahead of me. Well, mademoiselle? Have you thought about the history of this spell?” Turning to the first years, she announced, “Thanks to Ginelle, you are required to write on five possibilities that this spell was used in hist—“ then she was interrupted. Not even quietly interrupted. So loudly in fact, that she believed the boy to be cursed with Sonorus, so that she verbally cast Quietus on the boy. Then when she realized his wand was nowhere near his throat she realized how purposeful the volume was. Practically hissing, she snapped at the boy, “Minus five from Gryffindor. You will enter with silence and dignity. Now leave and prove to me you can.” She had every intention of fighting this boy. In fact most of her attention was on him so that she did not notice the second spell being cast and heading towards him. ((Unless it wasn’t towards Caiden…tell me if that’s the case. I’ll edit)) In fact it was only after Meiko took control of it that she saw it. She glared at the older girl, wishing she had caught her levitating the spell towards him. Still she gave her a warning, “Watch it wanderer. My eyes will be on you from now on.”
((There Meiko’s save worked, though now Professor Benoit thinks she did it.))

Ginelle was caught off guard with her wand being cast aside. What just happened? She looked around the room, until finally the professor started yelling at her. What? What did she do? She listened to the professor, and that's when her anger began to spring. I went ahead. This isn't a history class. Ginelle was tempted to start arguing, but she knew that it would result in a loss of more points and "I apologize, Professor. I did not realize we were not allowed to practice the magic yet. I did not realize this was a histroy course as well." The professor seemed to be doing a lot, so she did not know if the professor heard her. She had yet to lose points from her house until that moment, so she did not know what she was thinking. This was very bothersome to her, so she took out her quill, a piece of parchment, and began to write out the assignment.

Fourth year Gryffindor He wanted him to reenter the room? He thought not. "Professor, to be honest, if I leave the classroom, I'm not coming back until tomorrow. So I think I should probably stay." He had listened to her take away points, and didn't really care. He didn't even really understand what they were for.
Caiden heard some commotion above his head, and noticed a book being brought back to a girls desk. He laughed, and nodded in approval to Meiko for saving his head. This class was really starting to become a bother for him.
