As if it wasn’t bad enough she fell, she could hear the snickers and being told off by Panther. Saleen wasn’t one to cry in front of others, so she didn’t. But arceus knows she felt like it right now. How could this get any more embarrassing? Esther sat next to saleen, but she knew she couldn’t make her feel any better. She did turn when Hayes offered to help her up. “Thank you…I am alright.” she said softly as she accepted his help. Great, now she was being pitied. She couldn’t wait until this was all done so she could go hide for a while…she didn’t want to hear any of the rumors that may spread about how she fell in the river. Arceus let them move on quickly so this can, hopefully, be forgotten!

Alexander shook his head in amusement when Frost started to grump about being helped and he walked over to the man. "At least you didn't fall into the water." he told him and gestured to the poor pink haired female being helped. He gave the two trainers who helped Frost across a smile of thanks then looked back at Lore. Of course the other had a Pokemon who could help him across. Oh well, it was good practice to get by on his own.

(OOC:sorry for the late- all caught up though now.)
Tambrey hadn't minded the drive, precarious as it had been- which had surprised her a little. Still, she kind of wished she'd hopped into the driving seat; watching other people drive was no fun; the dark-haired grunt had distracted herself by looking out of the window for nearly the whole way.
Upon reaching the forest, the bookish grunt seemed to, perhaps surprisingly, have no problem with the hiking and actually seemed to relish being outside and walking along. The downed trees and eery silence were, of course, rather off-putting, but still a smile hovered around the corners of her lips as she walked.
Upon reaching the log and watching the others make their way across, Tambrey found herself grinning as she let her two flying types out of the pokeballs. "Little help?" She addressed Palu, reaching up a hand for the bird to grasp. With a lack of the fly move, Palu wasn't really used to carrying people at all, so Tambrey opted to use her for balance. Meanwhile, Lasi fluttered in the air, attempting to look important; yes, he was supervising, that was it.
She made it across with only a couple of slips and nothing drastic, smirking at the other efforts and then turning as she heard a splash. "Ick." She muttered, secretly glad it had least hadn't been her to fall in.
As she watched Lore's Gyarados stretch into a bridge, her head canted. That was a well trained pokemon. "Useful critter" was her observation of the fact.

The desert born man tried to ease Frost's fidgeting. "Don't worry about your uniform too much. Lore aside, you're still one of the best kept among us." Not that looks were important right now. "By the end of this, we will probably all look like we took a ride on arceus's back through the layers of hell."
Lore's way of crossing didn't surprise him, not in the least. Having been on missions with Seth and Nadja, he figured it was a requirement of executives to not be too helpful to subordinates. Mau shook his head and turned vaguely away from the blond grunt. It was time to get moving. Standing here wasn't going to do a bit of good, and would only give Team Galactic more time for... whatever it was they were doing.

Turning to Xander with his lips pursed, Frost quietly observed; "That would have been preferable." He wished he hadn't said it as soon as the words left his lips; it was foolish for him to dislike being handled more than he disliked the idea of a soaking, and he didn't like seeming foolish... Maybe a soaking in the stream would have washed the oil out of his hair.
As Mau tried to reassure him, Frost ceased his fiddling and nodded slightly. "Well... Yes. You are correct. It makes no sense to concern myself about appearances." It was true, and so he stopped fiddling. He was scruffy. He did not wish to be scruffy. He couldn't help it if he had standards... No, no more fiddling, he had more important things to worry about.

"Great," the agent grinned, releasing Saleen's hand when she was upright. What? Hayes seemed about to say something else, but was distracted by the giant blue bridge fish appearing and Lore's easy, water-free, mud-free walk across the stream. Huh.
He shrugged, then looked briefly at the grunt before setting off further into the forest. "C'mon, let's catch up."

Once everyone was safely across and seemed sorted out, Lore recalled Lucy and led the way onward, still in as good a mood as ever.
Fortunately the Rockets didn't encounter any other major obstacles on their trek into the forest. Aside from it being a long difficult walk, it was uneventful.. until the sound of voices could be heard up ahead. Lore held his hand up, indicating the others should slow down. He edged forward, drifting off the path of destruction into the trees.
Several yards ahead was a clearing, visible from the cover of the trees. What they saw was an impressive sight.

Standing three stories tall in the clearing was exactly what had been described to them. A giant metal ariados. The mechanical Pokémon looked glossy and new, sleek parts shining under the sun. It hummed quietly with the countless motors powering it.
Atop the device was a platform with a rail around it and a large control station, standing at which was a man that would be familiar to some of the Rockets. Unmistakable in his billowing cape, with his pinkish-purple hair and ever-present shaymin, Deimos, the leader of Team Galactic, looked down on the scene below. Beside him stood his second in command, Tethys, who was currently holding a clipboard and taking notes as Deimos spoke.
Unfortunately, Team Galactic didn't appear to have cornered a Legendary Pokémon in the depths of the forest. Quite the opposite. The massive machine had apparently herded dozens of frightened and completely random wild Pokémon into the clearing. Beedrill, Spearow, Mankey and various others crowded nearby, aggressively facing the Galactics.
"Launch another discharge!" Deimos shouted over the rail. Below on the ground beside the ariados a handful of Galactic grunts stood, armed with comically large guns that looked more like nerf blasters than weapons. One nodded and aimed his in the direction of the frightened Pokémon. The gun buzzed and with a loud fwoomp launched a metal orb roughly the size of a baseball. The orb landed in the middle of the gathered Pokémon and exploded. Rather than explode with combustion, it exploded with some sort of sonic discharge. With a loud pop the Pokémon were momentarily dazed.
Meanwhile, atop the ariados, Deimos was hauling something into his arms. It was a ball of some sort.. almost as large as a basketball. The top was black and the bottom was white.. on the black side was a large gold G. As he lifted the ball over his head it would become clear that it was a Poké Ball. A very very large Poké Ball. With a grunt, Deimos lobbed the ball at the stunned Pokemon. It hit the ground and snapped open in a blinding flash of red light. Arcs of the light danced over the field of Pokémon and one by one.. they were sucked into the ball. After several moments of this the ball snapped shut and just like that.. at least 20 of the Pokémon were gone.
Deimos had been watching carefully as the Galactic Ball did its work. He nodded his approval and started speaking to Tethys, "The beam radius is a few feet short. I'll also need to adjust the latch delay.. it should've opened faster."
Team Galactic didn't appear to be on any exciting Legendary-catching mission today. They were just testing new tech.
From his vantage point amongst the trees with the other Rockets, Lore tilted his head, ".....huh. Well that's.. ...not so much what I expected. We might need to change our plans.."

Sorano was ready to bust into battle with that so-called leader of Galactic for what he did. However, come Lore's words, he paused from a deft battle cry and raising of sword (or Flareon, whatever you wish). He felt the low buzzing of the mechanical Ariados in the pit of his throat, like someone mowing their lawn outside your window or on a motorboat while on their laptop. All in all, it was just incredibly odd yet nostalgic. Reminded him too much of his dearest baby back in Saffron. C'mon now, now was not the time to feel homesick!
"So what be tha' plan?" he asked openly to no one in particular. He sure was hungry . . .

Wow. Wow. How did that work? When the pokeball was activated again would all of the pokemon come out, or was there a system to let them out one at a time? Twenty pokemon under your command at once. That pokeball looked cumbersome, but surely the benefits would outweigh the costs... Or perhaps it was just a temporary storage facility, designed to restrain a large number of pokemon until they could be placed in individual pokeballs?
With every fibre of his being, Frost wished he could teleport over there and somehow persuade Deimos explain the fascinating thing to him in great depth. This, however, was a wish that he knew would go unfulfilled. And what about the mechanical Ariados? Another wonder. The strength that must be in those legs. Was each one powered individually, or was there a central engine in the robot's abdomen? However it was driven it was amazing. Wow. He'd totally forgotten about the oil in his hair...
Blast.
And now he'd remembered again.
Egh.

Saleen nodded and followed Hayes as they caught up with the group. She stopped and stared wide eyed at what was happening. She recognized the man from pictures, but had never seen him personally. So that was Team Galatic’s leader eh? His cape sort of reminded her of the one the Champion Lance wore…wasn’t he in the brig at their head quarters? Esther glared at him, and let out a low grow. More like a grumble. Suddenly he threw a…very large pokeball, and captured a large group of pokemon. What was…Saleen found herself admiring how amazing the galactic ball was, but pushed the thought off. So…what now? They didn’t seem to be after a legendary pokemon..but stopping them would still be good…she heard Lore mention a change of plans, and was curious as to what that meant…

Fallowing Lore, He heard team Galactic before he saw them. The sounds of pokemon in fear, and the giant robot carried across the forest.
"I have hypnosis and Confusion Ray, we can launch a surprise attack, and confuse them before going in." Panther said to Lore.

Of course, this hadn't been what Repo had been ready to see. Had any of them been ready for this sight? No wonder the forest had been so quiet! All the missing pokemon were here! Admittedly some small part of him was disappointed not to find a legendary pokemon in Galactic's clutches...if only because it'd be interesting to say he'd seen one. If they had failed in freeing it, it would be far worse than Galactic getting their hands on a few dozen normal pokemon...
But still. This wasn't right. That technology, in the Galactics' hands? That didn't bode well. They'd clearly figured out how to capture multiple pokemon at once. How long until they could steal other people's pokemon? And combine the two? One huge pokeball and whole squads of Rockets (this very one included) could be helpless!
"Maybe we're no' t'be liberatin' a ledengary pokemon t'day, but I canna imagine we'd be right jus' t'let them off, usin' tha' kinna technology an' no' sharin' w'us!"

"Whoa." They'd be told there'd be a giant mechanical Ariados. And there it was. Still, Tambrey found herself somewhat stunned by the contraption; she hadn't really expected it after all, despite -knowing- what they'd been told they would find.
Lasi fluttered down to sit on her left shoulder while Palu looked impassively from her spot on the ground. The Pidgeotto, unlike her trainer, seemed to be completely unimpressed with the big arachnid robot.
As she watched the ball test, Tam' widened her eyes again; this stuff was interesting. "I want one of those."

Alexander had only seen pictures of the Team Galactic members that were on the giant mechanical spider and honestly had no opinion of them his self other then mild dislike. But he glared at them now from his hiding spot with the others. They were Team Rockets enemy, they destroyed the forest and now were using technology that TR could use. He looked over at the Exec when he said they needed a different plan and fully agreed. Looking quickly at the other teammate he wondered what all their pokemon was.
"If someone has a pokemon that has a ground shaking move we could use that." He offered up a plan like Panther had.
