Tanzanite had been observing in stoic silence, taking in the sights the mirrors had to show and the words of those around her. She had stuck closed to Alkaid most of the time, and as she noticed the blonde girl tenst, the General rested her human hand in the small of the corrupted senshi's back. Her voice was low as she leaned in slightly and whispered, “That mirror holds only the past, Alkaid. The future is ours to decide. Never forget that.”

She watched in silence as Apatite dressed down her fellow General, and spoke only once he seemed to have been thoroughly put into his place, “We are an army in the service of Earth. To put our own needs and desires before our duties to the Negaverse is a betrayal.”

For Tanzanite, at least, it was as simple as that.

Fayalite was unsure of what the hell has just happened.. but one thing was for certain: Apatite's mental elevator was stuck between floors.

Though she too found herself taking a step towards Zink... maybe not as fast as Scheelite, but she too was protective of those she cared about. Even if it was a suicide mission. She had to agree with tanzanite on putting desires before duty... but currently her duty was screaming it was not zinks time yet.

Apparently Apatite seemed appeased... that the question was misheard.

Relief!

Fortunately for Apatite (and for everyone within the immediate vicinity of Apatite), there was no repulsive tongue-kissing to be had in this image. Instead, the moon princess and the apparent prince of the Earth... appeared to say their respective farewells, and part ways for the moment.

The prince walked off-screen, as it were.

The princess, however, was jogging in the direction of the front of the image... straight towards Sailor Earth.

Sailor Earth intercepted her. The Moon princess looked reasonably, expectedly shocked, and scrambled to explain herself. This went on for a moment or two... until the senshi's stance relaxed, and the princess's with it -- and then, they... started laughing. It was unmistakable. The two of them looked like a pair of giggling, gossiping schoolgirls. At one point, one of them appeared to be double-checking to see if the Prince was still there, and then they went back to their conspirational chuckling and whispering.

Scheelite was doing his best to hold his tongue...by literally biting it. Oh how he wanted to flip, yell at Apatite for threatening his partner like that, and yell at the rest of them for turning the other cheek when their fellow officer was threatened. They were FAMILY, they were supposed to look out for each other!

He shook, just a bit, from his effort to keep his mouth shut and simply reassure Zink with his presence. Ilmenite might be hiding behind him, the others might be turning away or spouting their loyalty, but there was one person Scheelite was more loyal to than anyone. Voicing that thought was a bad idea.

But he'd stand there, fire in his eyes, and that alone would prove it. At least Faya had enough sense to join him with watching for Zink!

And he still really didn't care what was going on in the mirror. Alas.

Well wasn't THAT just great... the two girls, Princess and earth senshi, were best friends. "Well now we know where her loyalties lie." The lieutenant grumbled as she saw the mirror shifting. How could she agree and follow a damn princess not of Earth, it was sickening!

She was still standing near the 'omgprotectzink' guard... but not as rigid as before. She had loosened up, and hell.. even took a step away.

Through the clouding anger that had tensed every muscle in her body, Alkaid felt the light touch of Tanzanite's hand through the fabric of her fuku. At first it was only a gnat, buzzing at the edge of her sub conscience, around the wall she had put up as she stared single-mindedly at the mirror. Then the powerful presence was looming next to her, over her shoulder, and the dual-toned words broke down what the brief touch couldn't. The whisper washed over her and unwound ever tensed fiber as if it were a command she couldn't have disobeyed if she'd tried.

She closed her eyes before the last word passed Tanzanite's lips, drawing a deep breath to push away what little was left of her anger. Once she released it, she opened them again, staring ahead at the mirror once more but this time in a strange clam. "I know, general," she whispered back softly, and yet there seemed to be room for a 'but' to fit at the end of it.

Whatever she might have or have not said was cut off as her eyes snapped quickly to the display of power on behalf of their escorting general-queen. Alkaid's brows rose a fraction in surprise to see who was being scolded, but she would not question Apatite's enforcement. Even Zink had to know when to fall in line and shut his mouth, even if Alkaid had missed most of what was said in her inner struggle. Regardless, if Apatite thought it fitting, he must deserve it. The general-queen had to be right.

Just as she was sure the mirror image was over, that they could move on and forget the sight of the prince and his enchantment with the witch of the moon, a far more disturbing sight came into view. With Tanzanite so close, and with her reminder still fresh in her ear, Alkaid didn't revert back to the strained anger of mere moments before. There was a tale-tell in her narrowed eyes and the words on her lips that were so quiet they were little more than a silent mouthing seemed to spell out 'traitor'.

The pink-haired general was standing somewhere in the back of the crowd, her eyes glazed over in view of the little movie show playing in front of them.

How innocent they looked. Like two schoolgirls .. Hard to believe that they were agents of earth. Agents of betrayal. Similar to negaverse and senshi alike-- there was more to the eye than what first appeared. But they looked so horribly innocent. Something conflicting flashed in Serandite's brown eyes, her arms crossed, one leg bent up as she leaned against the wall.

Tanzanite's words rang true, causing something unsettled within the pink-haired general, her lips finally seeming sealed shut for once.

Sassolite was finding she rather liked this general-queen more and more. She wasn't like the others and the king of old. This was interesting for sure and she rather liked watching the way she acted around the others. More to the point she knew things that they didn't and that was what she was interested in.

Sassolite turned and looked at the mirror everyone else was so absorbed in and watched the little scene play out. Was it really surprising that the two were friends? Probably not but that didn't bother her. What bothered her was the lack of answers. There seemed to be no answers to anything. What was the point in these mirrors? Learning history was important she got that but none of this seemed to be all that relevant to now.

She stepped back away from the mirror and lent on a wall, watching the others and waiting for something interesting to happen.

The conversation continued on for a little while. Unfortunately, due to the lack of sound, it was anyone's guess what exactly it was they were talking about: the only clues at their disposal were their body language and their facial expressions, which suggested at the very least that they were sharing secrets of some kind. They kept peering up and looking around them, as if checking to make sure no one was watching or listening in, and upon finding it safe they would go straight back to talking.

Eventually, like how it proceeded in the mirror they'd looked at before, the image cross-faded over to the beginning and began to play all over again. The story in this one was over -- but just a couple of frames over, another one was beginning.

And this time, the colors and the architecture were distinctly different from before... and distinctly familiar. The pleasant tones of white, gold and teal were exactly the same as the ones as they could see immediately around them. While this specific chamber didn't look like any part of it they had seen before, it was still easy to guess that it was a room in the very temple everyone was standing in now.

Between the large marble columns that made up the border of the chamber, one could see the same dark sky with unfamiliar clusters of stars that made up the skies of Elysion in present day. Apparently this was an open-air room. The place was bare, except for a small pedestal that held an even smaller crystal, which cast a warm golden glow upon the ceiling and the floor.

Sailor Earth dashed into this very chamber, seemingly in a hurry. She was making a beeline straight for the crystal, and hovered over it precariously as soon as she was within arm's length of it. It looked like she was hesitating -- or perhaps didn't know quite what to do. There was a distinct sense of urgency present in her stance and expression.

Still tight with anger, Apatite strode away from the little cluster of people that had moved without a word to support their peer. Friend, they may have said. Cause for alarm, Apatite believed. Showing support against a commanding officer was the first sign of mutiny and she was not going to have any of that one her watch. Idiot children.

But a shimmer in the glass caught her attention, and she sucked in her breath sharply, barely daring to believe her eyes.

"What," Apatite's eye twitched slightly, "is she planning to do with the Golden Crystal."

"She looks to be in a hurry." She questioned, eying the scene going on before her as she approached the new frame right after the general queen. "Maybe protecting it or... i duno, stealing it?" Was her first thoughts. If sailor earth was in kahoots with Sailor moon, would she steal the golden crystal?

She had no idea what to think at this point.

"... Nothing good I suspect." Zink murmured quietly, hopefully quiet enough not to trigger anyone's ire, though he did cast a careful glance at Apatite.
She couldn't be happy that his own had moved forward to guard him, Scheelite and a Lieutenant true but all the same, she was a General Queen, he'd have to warn them that they should not do so again, risky business that could cost them their lives...not just him.

"... The road to hell though..." He murmured.

After a few moments of hovering, Sailor Earth finally made her decision. Her hands shot greedily toward the pedestal, and soon she was cupping the lustrous Golden Crystal in the palms of her hands, its buttery glow sharply illuminating her face.

The only emotions spelling across her features now were awe... and, seemingly, a great realization of the power she held in her hands... and then it all settled into a cold determination for whatever action it was she was going to take.

And then... the chamber was empty again. The memory had started over.

But there was another scene playing out in another mirror nearby.

"What -is- she up to..." He murmured more to himself than anyone, he glanced around him and then shifted through the small press of people to make his way to the next 'mirror' and whatever it might show.
What was the purpose of all they were seeing, it could hardly be 'forbidden' could it, else they would already have the guardians and Helios breathing down their necks... right?
Something felt strange about all of this... like it was a deliberate but enticing distraction, but it was effective all the same, he wanted to see more.

"..Greedy. The lot of them." She said, eying the look on the senshis face while she took the crystal.

This was not helping her view on the senshi, at all. Corrupted... even Earth. Their worlds own senshi... was corrupt. This was not good.

Curiously, as if maybe the story would continue... faya moved towards the next mirror. Looking around first, she made sure that the superior officers had time to move before she did. She rather liked her innards where they were, even if she was not the one threatened...yet.
