MuCephei glanced towards Polaris and the Chibi senshi who was nearly hidden behind her and shook her head, "I don't know... maybe we'll be told... maybe they were ... people here in a past life it's hard to say." The idea of past lives was still strange to her, but it made a deep level of mystery...who had she known before, little flashes of memory were only part of the answers and it made her curious about who might have sat here, might she have known them...might anyone here?
And why so many tables...was earth always a place where senshi migrated from their 'home worlds' or was this for men and women of earth.

When Castor looked towards her, Flora nodded, perhaps a little too fiercely than usual, powered by her strong emotional state. She would fight. She would always fight, and her gaze darted towards MuCephei and gave her a tiny smile. They stood together. Always.

Even if there were some here she disliked more than the others.

Flora followed warily as they ventured further into the Temple, and behind her, Chronos' eyes darted around at the somewhat familiar building she had seen before, as if in a dream. Flora merely marched forward, having less access to her past memories than her Princess.

A Council Chamber.

Woah.

Flora stared at the table, and then crossed her arms, remembering exactly where they were. Not Camelot, but Elysion. Elysion. "Look, oh mysterious voice." She ventured finally, amidst everyone discussing about who should sit at the table. "I don't know who you are, but your Priestess, Helios, isn't exactly happy about having all of us in here. Are you sure we're allowed to be in this room?" Her concern was that Helios would appear, notice the open door, and storm in and launch into an angry tirade that they should not be here.

"I think I've been here before." Chronos ventured quietly. "I'm not sure." Cerise eyes darted towards Cosmos, hoping for some sort of explanation, or clarification.

Snorting slightly as they walked up to the edge of the hallway, Iris groused "I'll make damned sure he sees it ain't gonna work!" She gave a firm nod as Metis confirmed that there wasn't anything out of the ordinary with walking down the hallway. No ambush, no hidden dangers that stood out.

"Alright..." The blind girl had proven to be trustworthy in the past, so there was no hesitation on the eternal senshi's part to follow when requested to. Down the hallway and into the chamber, she remained next to her teammate, purposely slowing her own steps so she didn't pull ahead by accident. That was part of the disadvantage of having longer legs at times.

The room itself, (or Council Chamber as a voice announced) looked like something from a fairy tale, just like hood-adorned Hugbell had exclaimed. And for Sailor Iris, that was the problem. Her lips soon enough formed a big frown. "Why does everythin' have t'be so gay, Metis?" She leaned back against a nearby wall, crossing her arms and kicking one leg up behind her to keep her balance. "Even th'name sounds retarded.. 'council chamber'... makes me think student council..."

Then again, everything else about this whole thing reminded her of high school. Everyone badmouthing everything else.

Ganymede had... stopped listening. He honestly hadn't meant to, but at some point everything had started to go in one ear and out the other. He couldn't help that he had little to no interest in this. He didn't even really know what people were talking about. He supposed it was a good opportunity for him to learn a thing or two, since very few people had felt the need or the desire to talk to him about it before, but his attention span was shot and he found himself hiding a few yawns -- bored or tired, he didn't know -- behind one of his hands.

He lagged behind everyone else as they made their way to this supposed "Council Chamber," paying more attention to his surroundings than he did to what anyone was saying. He was still suspicious of this place. Nothing good had ever happened to him when he'd come to Elysion before. He didn't expect this trip to end any better.

Cosmos grasped Mucephei's hand tightly, so very happy to see a semi-familiar face in the crowd of people, especially a familiar face that didn't want to know all of the answers, and took her replies at face value. It was a solid comfort to the girl. Even Iris' greeting made her smile and brighten just a little-- maybe she shouldn't have retreated so far. This wasn't too very bad.

The room they were herded in to was very beautiful, a place that she moved in easily without any feeling of displacement, unlike the rest of Elysion. It felt a lot more homey, for all it looked like it belonged in a medieval castle.

"Hmm? Oh, I haven't the slightest clue. This is outside of my memories, and I have personally never stepped on to the grounds of Elysion before this day. Sailor Chibimoon might know, but I haven't seen her."

Cosmos took a look over at Chronos, and smiled a little bit-- she felt the princess needed the solidarity over that fiasco of a conversation.

"I do not know if you ventured in to this chamber; I only hold my memories, not everyones. You would have to ask Mnemosyne if you wanted to know and I haven't yet seen her. It seems very... grounded though. Comforting-- maybe the feeling reminds you of something?"

Failed princesses and their failed protectors. Sigh.. It was boring, and she had seen it all before. Centuries of it, really, even if through a mirror. Ares didn't care about any of these people who spoke against her. They clearly weren't made of the same stuff that she believed her court was. They spoke of following a greater power -- but what had any of them done? Ares had assembled a team from her own sweat and tears. It was more than any of them could say, wasn't it?

Either way, she couldn't bring herself to care, not about them.

Scylla, though -- and Sirius and Maia and Gaia and Birhan -- she cared very much about. A hand went to Scylla's shoulder when the girl took the punch from Juno. "Scylla," she said lowly, appreciation ringing in it. Here was a soldier worthy of adulation. Here was someone who had done more in Destiny City than any single princess. But she understood why Juno made her strike. If someone had insulted Nehelenia, Ares might have done the same. So she chose to ignore it.

Denebola, though, aroused a deeper curiosity in the Senshi of Smoke. She loved the words coming out of the girl's mouth. Now was hardly the time to recruit, but Ares memorized her features. They would surely meet again.

Then Cosmos was talking, and Ares had a hard time keeping herself from laughter. She had never met Cosmos before. Cosmos had never stood in battle beside her. She cared little what the girl thought, even less what she said. Blah blah blah love, blah blah blah truth. Yeah. Maybe Ares would listen to one iota of that bullshit when Cosmos actually proved herself to be something other than hot air.

Ares has never been particularly diplomatic.

"The Blood Moon Court will stand against Metallia," she said curtly.

They were moving then, entering this 'Council Chamber.' Ares eyed it warily, as if a Nega might burst through a wall at any moment. They had a council in the Black Moon, but that didn't mean she understood what this room was. "A war chamber," she said quietly. "Get together and vote on things, vote on actions, vote on motions." Ares was used to that sort of dynamic. People told her to kill and she did. Those edicts had been handed down in rooms such as this.

Gray eyes bounced to the other Blood Moon senshi. She murmured, "I do not know what this means. More riddles, no surprise there." It was said almost with a laugh -- but Ares with with her senshi. She loved them all as surely as they were her own family. They understood what sacrifice meant. They understood that this was not some Disney story.

And Ares took solace in that.

The voice floated out of everywhere once again in that pleasant, if detached manner while explaining something else it obviously found very important. “This place is rather official, is it not? The throne there is everything it seems to be and has survived more strife than thought possible." Indeed, it looked ancient and unmoving...but not menacing. "The woman who would sit on that throne is only the most recent threat.” A shade of the Queen of the Negaverse appeared on the wooden throne. Now it glimmered with the quality they had all attributed to the innocent seats. But it was only the beginning.

“But not the only.” One by one other shadowy figures appeared in the chairs around the table. Unsurprisingly, the majority were powerful-looking men who turned to glare at Beryl like she was some sort of upstart impostor.

“Those children of the Dark Kingdom would rant that you are imposing intruders from another place that do not belong on their planet. But they would be wrong. So many centuries before Princess Serenity even laid her eyes on Earth, it was ruled the very same way her own Kingdom had been.” A lilt came into the voice then, filled with amusement and a bit of anger all wrapped into one.

“Some did not agree. Sailor Ares would understand this for it was far more successful in the world she has come from. Men do not like giving up their power when they do not understand. Metallia sensed this, fed this, made this her goal.” The shades solidified and all of them turned to look out at the senshi surrounding them.

Had they been real, there might have been cause for alarm.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 03, 2011 8:12 pm

Hugbell squeaked as she tried to hide more behind Polaris and any other senshi near her. The shades might not be cause for alarm for the older ones, but the Queen's shade seemed to frighten her the most.

"She reminds me of the evil stepmothers...." She whispered so that most likely only those close to her heard. Her head was still peeking around the older senshi to watch...

Foramen took the opportunity to inspect the illusion of Queen Beryl. This was their big enemy, huh? Or at least, the most current - Ares has mentioned something about a 'Metallia'. That sounded vaguely ominous. Beryl didn't look like all that much - not as physically intimidating as Tanazite, with her moster arm. But there was something in the eyes of the shade, something cold and cruel and never-satisfied, that had Foramen backing away with a shudder.

And then the mystery voice started talking about other threats, and more illusionary figures appeared.

"Am I the only sick of being called an invading alien?" he demanded. "As though I wasn't born on this planet? As though I asked to be?"

He was half hoping that the Negaverse came from elsewhere, too, just so he could force that down the throats of the sneering bastards.

Trailing closely behind Ares, Birhan inspected the room quietly. She nodded when Ares spoke. It was always riddles with this lot. No wonder people were sick of cats and royal ghosts that spoke no sense, and banded together to form groups like the BMC. When Ares had information to share, she spoke plainly. She wanted all members to have as much information as they could, none of this hiding secrets (apart from the big, royal one) and revealing teasing hints.

"Ruled the same as Serenity's Kingdom?" Birhan echoed the voice. Even that made little sense. "Do you mean senshi used to rule on Earth, as well? Was Earth once a member of Serenity's court or council? Or do you mean that the Moon Kingdom used to be ruled by brutes like these?" she gestured to the men around the table.

As they solidified and seemed to take notice of the senshi, Birhan raised her fists. This didn't look like it was going to end well.

"... They...Didn't want a woman ruler?..." MuCephei said carefully..."So Metallia stepped in and offered...what, power of their own?..." She paused unsettled as they all turned to look at them, eery shades of things she hoped had no direct ability to hurt them now.
"Were...these men the first?" She asked carefully, though perhaps it was something she should have known.

Metis found it hard to resist the small laugh, quickly trying to cover it up as a cough. There really wasn't too much doubt in her mind Iris could whip this guy into shape. Especially with how displeased she seemed to be with the whole thing, herself. Though she wasn't fond of the idea that violence would be needed to solve "team problems," she couldn't exactly think of a non-violent way that would be as effective. Well, hopefully effective. Er...

When Iris leaned against the wall, the brunette mimicked her. Well, in a way. Her arms crossed behind her back and pressed against the stone, feet supporting her a little ways from the wall. She kept looking around the room, peeking at the round table again and again. The symbols were almost all but lost in her vision, instead relying on what others were saying to even learn of them. To Iris, she offered a shrug, smiling. "Clearly ancient people here didn't have your good tastes in architecture," she somewhat teased. She rather liked it, and felt it fit. This whole dream world, why wouldn't it have romantic, fairy tale-esque buildings like this? She wasn't going to debate the name with her though. What else would they call it?

A counsel of what though, sat here? Who's counsel? She paused in this pondering when another figure caught her mental eye, blind pair turning in the direction of a rather interesting looking senshi. Least what she could make of the fuku. The slower pace she took - assumptions based on the fact she saw a skirt and how few male senshi she was used to - made Metis tilt her head, putting on a small smile as she called out to Ganymede, "Beautiful place, no?"

It wasn't long after she called to the other senshi when the voice rang out again, and her head turned to watch the round table. While everyone else saw the shadowy figures, Metis saw faded gray energy that formed them. She had to focus to really see them, and the waves did not bounce around as those of the living did - never mind were hardly as bright. False auras, figments. It at enabled her to see, at least, the menacing Negaverse Queen, unease creeping along her spine. "Iris," she whispered to her, the strain of trying to focus on the shades clear in her voice, "what... are they? What are we seeing?" Sure she could tell they were people, the queen especially stood out to her, but the solidified forms, how they turned to stare at them - all of that, she missed. To say she was confused as to what was going on was an understatement.

"Leave it to you to remember the sordid details of King Arthur's sex life before any of his other legends, Castor." Scylla had moved with Ares and Birhan, a step behind and to the right of her friend. Maybe it was symbolic, maybe it was just that place that she felt most comfortable. Who knew?

The Senshi of the Kraken left her Captain's side, eyes on the table, the carvings, all the little details that appealed to her. She moved up past the shadowed figures shown on the chairs, so small next to all of them, listening to the disembodied voice and watching the figures move and glare around her. At last her hands reached out, stroked over the wooden throne, ignoring the shade of the Queen there.

"You're not the only one tired of hearing it, Foramen." she said, voice weary, stepping away from the shade and the wooden thrones. "She looks like just a woman, until you look at her eyes." So cold. So greedy. Hells Bells on a cracker, Queen Beryl reminded Jada of her mother.

"It makes sense that Metallia would try and get their hands into the Kingdom using their weakest link- How very Sauron of her, to use the greed of Man. That doesn't explain why Beryl was on a throne in the first place, to make these men all angry. Who was she? Was she someone important? Chibimoon has said she is a Moon Princess and an Earth Princess, so shouldn't her father be on one of these thrones?" Not a single one of the figures looked in any way benevolent, or warm-hearted enough to have snuggled his way into the bed of a woman who was supposed to be made of goodness, mercy and kittens.

Ganymede gave a start when one of the other Senshi seemed to be speaking to him. He couldn't tell, but she'd looked in his direction, and it didn't seem as if she'd been focusing on anyone else. Er... though it didn't really look like she was focusing. Her eyes looked kind of funny. Was she blind?

Oh, god. He sincerely hoped the fate of the world wasn't resting in a blind person.

Then again, how much more useless could she be than everyone else?

He opened his mouth to respond, but stopped to half listen to the mysterious voice, keeping his arms crossed over his chest as he observed the shadowy figures, but as he didn't find them all that interesting -- the whole power-hungry man thing wasn't all that surprising; when had things not been that way with the world? -- he soon turned his attention back to Metis.

"I wouldn't say it's beautiful. Crappy things have been happening in this place. That's not really all that beautiful. An end to all this would be beautiful. Waking up and not having to deal with it anymore would be beautiful."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 03, 2011 9:18 pm

While Scylla moved away, Birhan stayed where she was. Close behind Ares, slightly to the left. She'd had her quick inspection of the room when they entered. Now she would remain close by her leader. Even if this wasn't turning out to be much of a fight between senshi anymore, the BMC were close-knit group and it showed.

"More and more questions, every time that voice pipes up," she said. It was in no way a whine, but it was clear that Birhan wasn't impressed. If it had something to say, why not come straight out and say it?

***

The voice that spoke up was familiar, if less cheerful than Foramen was used to hearing it. He unfolded his arms from across his chest as Scylla approached the throne, waving one in greeting. It was nice to see that one of the few senshi he tolerated was here. Even if she did seem to be part of that crazy Ares' group.

"Greed of Man, I can see," he agreed, not liking the eyes of the shades around the council table, either. "I don't get what she could have offered them, though. Don't want to be ruled by a woman? Great, be ruled by me - a woman. Or! Be ruled by Beryl - a woman."

Foramen didn't think it was so simple, or the ruler of the Negaverse would be a man. Something else might have been on offer.

-As the group and her tiny companion moved down the hallways Polaris followed in suit, keeping close to Hugbell, only pausing once or twice to try a door here and there.

The beautiful council room was met with curious teal eyes, offering Hugbell and unsatisfying muse.- "I don't know.. maybe other senshi from the past?"

-She was quickly proven wrong however the voice and scene unfolding before them. It was quite the opposite it seemed... Beryl... There was a tension in the shadow people's movement. Her hand squeezed Hugbell's as she tucked her way behind her irredescent skirt. Others asked her questions before her so she remained silent for now.-
