Feeling irritatingly defensive like for no apparent reason, Luna transformed into an elf, climbing back into the boat. She scowled a bit towards the couple making out, wiping sharks blood off her face and still dripping wet.
Somehow she knew what the two were thinking due to a case of a fourth wall break and reading what the post for their action was.
"This is not a failed attempt at a love relationship. He keeps hitting on me! And I must say, -whips out copy of inheritance sequnce- Elves and humans NEVER work. I'm immortal, already have a guy, and transform into an angry dragon. Do you see this happening any time soon?"

(Luna was in a bad mood after eating the half dead shark. It had a zombie disease among sharks and was making her irritable.)

Adrien stood up and would lean the opposite way of the rocking boat. "Please stop rocking this. If it's anything I hate it's water!" he said as he balanced himself before sitting down. Seeing the following events unfold made him chuckle. Looking at Luna he asked "How was the shark? A little rubbery I suppose?"

"IT TASTED LIKE ROTTEN RUBBERY NON-SALTY VOMIT THAT HAD BEEN ROLLED IN RUST THROWN DOWN A GARBAGE DISPOSAL, CHUCKED BACK UP, PUT IN A BLENDER ON HIGH, SHAKEN AND LEFT OUT IN DEATH VALLEY FOR A WEEK, THEN FROZEN, REHEATED FIFTEEN TIMES, TURNED INTO JELLY AND CHUCKED ONTO A PILE OF SHARK BONES!"
She rethought that for a moment.
"It was a bit sour. Honestly not that bad for a dragon that would eat anything. Its just the aftertaste now that I'm an elf. Horrible. And it was diseased by something and not necessarily agreeing with me."

"I see..." said Adrien, some what surprised that at her random outburst.

Hiru smiled brightly as he went to step toward her, but he was cut off by others on the boat. He painstakingly squeezed his way past the angry elf/dragon, and two people who were making out, finally reaching Machiko on the other side. Once he got there, he noticed a wall in the distance. There was a large black gate that seemed to be exactly where they were headed, despite this boat having no mast, nor oars, not even a motor to propel it. It was as if they were somewhere in the medieval period.

"Yes, I see you've been getting around nicely." he said half-jokingly. Hiru continued to smile as he stopped in front of a familiar face, but he kept being distracted by the wall in the distance. Another look, and he saw smoke rising from behind the wall. There was also an ominous fog rolling out over the water as they inched closer to the gate, and an orange glow in the smoke just above the wall.

Indie and Taka were covered by the fog. When they emerged, Taka was holding two twin baby girls.

"That is how you progress in a romance plot." Indie proudly smirked, her head held high.

"Indie, help, I can't get them to go to sleep!" Taka said, trying to rock them to sleep, bags under his eyes.

"Hmpf... Fool..." Indie said and walked away.

"Indie!" Taka tried to follow after her.

(For the record, no they did not. I'm just as confused as you are... XD)

The ominous smoking wall drew Luna away from her rather pointless and silly tirade about sharks meat.
"Hmmm, a gate. It somewhat reminds me about those to other lands. But I can't be sure." Luna muttered half to herself, half to whoever could be listening.
"Hiru, you seem to know about other world travel. Do you know what it is?"

As Adrien stood up and looked at everything he sighed. "Why must everything bad happened every few minutes..." he muttered

"Why yes, I have..." Machiko said, mumbling at the last part. She took a glance at Indie and Taka, and sweatdropped. Then she glanced at the ominous black gate. She had a hunch on where that gate led to. And she didn't like it one bit. But who knows. It's just a hunch.

Hiru stared continuously at the wall, unable to make heads or tails of it. It actually almost made less sense than Taka's two infants. But they were closing in, and fast. The waves started pushing them closer toward the gate. As they neared it, it seemed like they were going to crash, but the gate began to open before they could even get close. Hiru sighed in relief, but then it dawned on him, who would be operating the gate from that far off? His right eye turned red as what looked like the shape of a root crawled up the side of his face and circled his right brow. The demon was scanning hard, but when it tried to see past the wall, it couldn't see anything at all. Hiru's eyes returned to normal. There was something in the fog that was clouding the Death Keeper's vision.

Finally, they were just outside of the gate. The Death Keeper tried a second time to scan the area, but it was being blocked by some kind of unexplained interference. The waves pushing them stopped as they came to the opening, and they began to inch forward to the inside of the wall. Part of the smoke was explained, because in the distance of this brick-enclosed boating dock, there was one giant double-door to the left near the far corner, and in front of the door was a burning pile of rubble, fallen from the wall itself over the door.

Just as the boat reached about halfway through the gate, the loud shrieking of metal against metal echoed out from the gate, and it began to rattle in place above them. Hiru grabbed Machiko by the arm and pulled her swiftly to the front of the boat, while he shouted out to everyone else, ”ABANDON.... BOAT!!” After a short moment, the gate plummeted, heading straight for the center of the boat, and for the group of people who would be scrambling to escape.

Adrien nodded and grabbed Luna, jumping off the boat. He let go and said "Knowing you you'll transform into the dragon." with that he began to swim as fast as he could.

Luna's eyes widened for a moment before Adrien grabbed her and just as swiftly let go. She Laughed a little bit as she exploded into her other form and nose dived into the water, spiraling back up and popping her head over the surface, watching the boat fall apart, just a few meters away.
"Everyone all right?" Luna asked, looking for the group. As an afterthought she added, "I know there are sharks around, and that swimming in the ocean isn't easy. If anyone wants they can ride on my back, unless they can handle it themselves."

Machiko turned around to the directon of the gate, as it became closer and closer, anxiety and curiousity both growing greater inside her. Then when the boat was halfway through the gate, the shrieking of metal made her jump, and she covered her ears. Wh-what's going on?! she thought. Then she looked up and saw that the gate was collapsing. "Oh no..." she said to herself, frozen in place. That's when Hiru grabbed her arm and brought her to the front of the boat. "H-Hiru!" He told everyone to abandon ship (or...boat..?). Machiko once again looked up at the collapsing gate. It's probably gonna kill us all if we don't evacuate... She had to take a risk, and she did. Machiko took a deep breath and dived into the shark-infested water.

"Shark infested bloody water!" Indie muttered to herself.
"If Hiru survives this, I'll kill him for bringing us here!"

Taka caught up with Indie.
"Dear, this really isn't the time for plotting reven-" Suddenly Taka felt the boat start to break apart. Taka and the twins fell down into the rubble of the boat. Indie quickly grabbed for them. She caught hold of one of the twins. One had blue eyes while the other's were red. The twin she'd caught had blue eyes.

In horror, Indie could only watch as Taka and her child fell to their doom. The ship had broken fully in half and the wreckage started to flip up. Taka and the twin could no longer be seen. It had all happened in an instant. If one were to blink, it would be missed.

Indie's expression switched from horror to determination. She held the twin tightly against her and she leapt into the water. It was her only chance of survival, and the odds weren't good.

(Wow, I'm actually making this kinda tragic... Yay character abuse! XP)

((HUZZAH FOR CHARACTER ABUSE!!! biggrin ))

Hiru jumped into the water with Machiko. When he looked around under the water, he saw the boat broken in half and sinking. However, there were no sharks in the water, just some Mexicans who were trying to find a border to cross. Luckily, they had made it through the gate before it fell. Hopefully someone among them spoke English, or one of us spoke Spanish. It certainly wasn't going to be Hiru, though.

Hiru pulled Machiko up to the surface. He turned to her and said, "It's safe in here, there were four Mexicans swimming around, but I don't think any sharks made it inside." Just then, one of the Mexicans cried out. His cry only lasted for a fraction of a second before his head was pulled underwater by some other unseen creature. Hiru's eyes went wide with the realization of where they were. He did recognize this place, but he didn't really feel like disclosing that information to any of them just yet. First things first, he started swimming at an incredible rate toward the right side of the dock, tugging Machiko behind him. If it weren't for his affinity with water, he would be screwed, because Hiru was no athlete on his own.

Once he reached the edge, he pulled himself up and then turned around to pull Machiko up next to him. The three remaining Mexicans had already made it up, since they were well experienced in the field of swimming. Add something deadly chasing them in the water and you won't even see them pass you. Still, with everything that was going on, Hiru had thought of himself first. Instead of lifting Machiko up out of the water, he pulled himself out, and then turned to help her after he was safe. And his body could re-grow itself. Hopefully, she wouldn't notice that small detail.
