A ring? Wow, I never knew that! That's very rare, you know, it's almost impossible to enchant items like that. I bet you someone in Dis could buy it from you and the asking price can be well into the trillions!

Anyways, that is interesting. I should do that something if I lose one of my eyes~

Yeh I know right? And I've gotten a lot of offers, attempted thefts and so on on it!
But not gun' do it.

And yeh...it's not so bad.
Well of course you wouldn't sell it, I'm just saying is all. In fact, I'm gonna look for a good sash one of these days in case I lose an arm, particularly if it has four or five tassels. It pays to have replacement parts. 3nodding And you can make a killing off of making them, too.

*tilts head*
A sash, huh?
Hmmm...maybe I should find a fellow that does that sort of thing when I go make a crew again.
That way I don't gotta pay 'em more if they lose a limb. *scratches chin*

Mmhmm. There's a special way to wrap a sash around you so that when you enchant it with magic, it sort of fits itself in place and whatever's left stretches to arm length. If you need a replacement leg, though, you'll need something sturdier. Carved wood helps, or steel. But for non-magic users, you'll need to wear a special pendant. This is to constantly recharge the limb's magic from the inherit magic in the air. If the pendant is lost or destroyed and is generally out of the radius of the non-magic user's limbs, they turn into normal things again. Natural or turned magic users don't need to worry as much about this.

It's complicated. *shrug*

Heh I imagine, 'specially since I don't may much heed to magic.
Still though, gotta have options available!

Oh definitely.

Jeez, you wander around ground level in Dis you're bound to lose something if it isn't your cash or organs! That's why you'll see a lot of brick legs or wood arms, and some jackass randomly setting fire to those arms. But ah well, such is life in Dis. Glad I didn't grow up there.

So, how about that Irish whiskey, hmm? *goes over to the bar* Chibi, if you're still there, how's about a round of the ol' friend for me, hmm?

*Looks up from her book Irish Whiskey in a bit of a distracted daze*

Huh, oh yeah I can pour you a glass of whiskey. Sorry about that I got wrapped up in my book here. *Hops the bar and fixes an old fashioned glass with Jameson's on the rocks and slides it over to Penn*

About what you asked before I got wrapped up in my book, I don't really know the demonic language. My language skills still reside in speaking, reading, and writing ancient pixie and mysitic runes. I'm fairly fluent in ancient pixie but I only do so well with mystic runes before I need a translation guide.

*takes the glass and drinks it a bit before putting it down and hiccuping*

Ah... well I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know it. It's rare to find a non-Inferno demon to know the language, and even rarer if an outsider does... and even then it's a dying language... *hic* *grumbles something in the demonic language (which more or less is a series of non-sequitur sounds to untrained ears)* These days, lots of demons prefer to use English, something about it being a business language... *takes another drink of the whiskey*

*hic*

Ancient pixie is a dying art in itself as well. My gradmother used to read me the tales and legends of our people written in ancient pixie. She wanted her grandchildren to know the language and keep it alive. If I had not have been the cockiest four year old known to Gaia I probably wouldn't be in the mess I'm in today. Then again, I probably wouldn't have been married for fifty years either. Still, I boasted to a bunch of older kids at four that I could speak and read the ancient language when I really couldn't. I thought what I was reading from was one of grandma's stories but it turned out to be one of her ancient mystic scrolls. I said one word wrong and boom I blew up a manor on the edge of Durem and was banned from learning magic for five years. The story of my life.

Ah... *takes one last swig*

The demonic language is interesting in that you can learn it so long as you have the magic to learn it; this includes speaking, reading, writing, and ultimately understanding the language. This magic cannot be learned; it is genetic and passed from a parent who has this magic, usually your mother. For whatever reason, this language is dying, although with the at-the-same-time advent of English as a major language, it really is no surprise. On top of this, for whatever strange reason, many demons are becoming infertile, and while it can be cured, the result is the loss of the language magic.

But even then you'll still see signs with the demon language as the main message and English on the bottom. The only exception to this, if I recall correctly, is in Limbo where most of its residents are humans and Purgatory.

*puts her head down* Uugh...

Ooh, that's true. *walks over to a nearby pinball machine and inserts a 50 Gold coin, as the machine demands; colorful lights and sounds start up and the game begins* Wanna bet that I can get a score of 5 mil? *pulls the lever for the pinball and begins pressing the flipper buttons* A round on me if I lose~.
