Rosemary simply rolled her eyes. "What a charmer." she murmured under her breath. Well, what else should she expect from something like Shadow. She gave an amused look at Rouge. "And you've dealt with him, how long?" she asked in a light tone.

Rouge thought for a moment, walking after Shadow. "He was about fourteen when I met him, and I was seventeen. Not that you could tell. He'll look twenty forever. Actually, he thought I was another scientist and tried to kill me. Halfway through choking me he got pulled off. First time out of the lab." She spoke as being strangled was a normal greeting, just like 'hello' or 'how you doing?' and as if it were normal to be raised to fourteen, not leaving a labratory that whole time. "He was a little nicer to me after that. Wasn't trying to commit murder, at least."

Rosemary nodded. "It seems terrible, what happened to him." she said. "In a way I feel bad for him, but it seems to go away after he acts like...well, him." She chuckled a bit. "I envy you two. You seem just like siblings. I've never experienced it." she said, looking around.

"I know what you mean." Rouge smiled at her, then looked ahead. "I know he seems like a b*****d, but I think he's got a heart somewhere in there. Probably very small, though."
"Not to mention put together like a machine." Shadow mumbled. "I can hear everything you're saying."
Rouge crossed her arms. "Why do you think I was saying it?"

Rosemary smiled. "Well, I'm sure too." she said. She chuckled a bit at Shadow. "At least we're somewhat honest." she stated. Rouge was right. It basically was his only attitude.

Rouge looked at Rosemary. "Ever since he found out he was the ultimate lifeform, he's been extra grouchy." she explained, "Nobody ever told him, and that pissed him off, because in his mind, that meant he was just a puppet. He was being used." Then she added so Shadow could hear, "That's probably the thoughts of most of them, but a lot know he's a great guy and wanted to mention it but weren't allowed."
Shadow didn't reply, except for going 'hmph'. He was ignoring them.

"I bet he realizes it." Rosemary said with a shrug. "I'm also betting that it's all just a facade to hide his...other side." But she could understand his anger towards them. If she were in his shoes, she'd probably act the same way.

Rosemary raised her eyebrows and smirked. "None. I think he's hiding something much deeper." she said, looking at Rouge. "He just wants to hide it because he figures it's a weakness .

Rosemary laughed. "Well, it's better than arguing over something. Or listening to him bicker." she said. "I don't care if he doesn't say anything. It's all part of the facade."

Rouge grinned, looking at Shadow. "So, how BIG is this forest, anyhow? We've been walking, what, ten minutes?" she asked, stepping over a bush of thorns(which Shadow had walked right through easily).
"Three." Shadow corrected her.
Rouge pouted. "Only?? Wow, walking STINKS."

Rosemary hopped over the bush and she asked, "Really? Huh, I would've thought that walking and talking would be much faster." She shrugged. "Well, won't this be fun?"

"Why don't we just go faster? I'll fly and you can run." Rouge asked.
"Because you have trouble flying and carrying someone at the same time." Shadow answered.
"So? You carry her." She said.
"Hmph."
Rouge looked at Rosemary. "In Shadowish, the language of Shadow, that meant, 'I really hate you, Rouge.'"
