xxx We've been dreaming, but who can deny that it's the best way of living: between the truth and the lies. As Valeria introduced herself, Kaysie remained quiet and just studied the woman. She wasn't sure whether or not she should trust the woman, even though she'd already taken the water from her. But before she knew it, Valeria was offering to buy her. Really, Kaysie never wanted to be 'owned' by someone, but it seemed she'd really have no other choice. Besides, becoming someone's pet seemed to be the only option of survival at the moment. If Kaysie were to stay out here, she'd likely freeze to death before too long. The girl didn't reply to the words, just watching Valeria still... atleast until the cup of water was back in her cage, refilled. The girl reached out, gently taking the cup again and sipping the liquid out from inside of it.
Her eyes closed for a moment, but opened again as Valeria was speaking to a guard. The guard, of course, moved over to Valeria and the cage. He gave a slight glance to Kaysie before reaching down to the lock on the cage, lifting it some to take in a few numbers that were upon the lock. After a moment of silence, he released the lock and returned his dark gaze to Valeria, giving a price. Of course, the price was slightly more expensive than the other slaves... but it was only because Kaysie had yet to be owned, and was already obedient for the most part.

As soon as the amount was named, sh ehastily flipped out her wallet from her back pocket, shelled out the proper amount of bills, and pressed them into the slaver's hand. "Here you go. Go buy two more poor girls with it," she growled bitterly, turning away from the slaver altogether to open the unlocked cage door, swinging it wide open so Kaysie could easily get out. "Come on out," the lectoblix invited her, stepping back to give her some room, though she was poised to spring if she attempted escape. Now Valeria took a moment to look over Kaysie's outfit, frowning slightly. Surely she was going to need some new ones. "I'll have to get some fresh things for you. Maybe we'll go to a store on the way home," she considered, waiting for Kaysie to emerge from her metal prison. `•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠

xxx We've been dreaming, but who can deny that it's the best way of living: between the truth and the lies. Kaysie was once again hesitant, but the tought of leaving her prison was too amazing to pass up. She slowly uncurled from her position, her bones and joints making small popping noises here and there as she shifted around. It had been a long time since the poor girl used her appendages, but being trapped in such a small space didn't really make it so surprising. She was weak, and numb in most places. Her appendages had gone past the point of feeling pins and needles, and now they were just... numb; no feeling whatsoever. Her body slowly shifted more, hands gripping onto the bars some to be able to help lift her weakened self up. It took a few moments, but she was finally brought to a standing position before hesitantly moving out of the cage.
Green eyes raised to look at Valeria, and her teeth were chewing her lower lip gently and nervously. Kaysie hadn't been out of the cage in so long.. and she'd rarely eaten, as well. The food they gave her looked just like slop they gave to pigs -- and it smelled much worse than that. In fact, if Valeria looked at her right... she could see that Kaysie's pants were sagging on her hips, and her body was growing too thin for its own good. She wasn't sickly thin, but her ribs were showing, as well as her hip bones. A good amount of food and new clothes would do her good, and she couldn't even think about passing up the offer. "Thank you..." Once again, her voice was quiet and gentle... nervous, really.

"Don't mention it, I can't stand seeing a girl looking so badly treated," she declared reassuringly, giving the slaver one last look of disgust before beggining to lead Kaysie away. "Follow me; I shouldn't have to drag you around by the arm to have you follow," Valeria instructed, walking at a slow, easy pace so Kaysie could keep up easily. Surely she hadn't walked in some time, so she could use some time to stretch out her legs and get used to supporting her own weight again. The poor girl looked horribly malnourished and unnecesarily slender, doubtlessly from not eating correctly in ages, and the thought made the lectoblix want to go back and sink her teeth into that chubby slaver's neck. But no, now wasn't the time to flaunt the sharpness of her fangs or her power to control someone when they slept, this was something to reveal later. For now, she led Kaysie out of the marketplace and towards her sleek black sportscar, pushing a button so the doors unlocked as they approached. "Buckle up, it could be a rough ride," Valeria warned, opening the passenger side door for Kaysie before rounding the front of the car and getting into the driver's seat, not bothering to buckle herself in. `•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠

xxx We've been dreaming, but who can deny that it's the best way of living: between the truth and the lies. Once she was out of the cage, Kaysie stretched just the slightest bit, but it was followed by a small whimper. Her entire body was in pain now that she was moving, but she still couldn't feel certain parts. Her toes and fingers were numb, even though she tried to keep them warm by hiding them beneath her arms or between her legs... anything to get the feeling back in them. Slowly, she began to follow on command, and without any complaint.
Upon nearing the car, she bit her lower lip at how nice it was. She'd remembered her boyfriend, Dean... He was a brilliant mechanic, and a lot older than her. Mid-twenties, actually. Dean was her first for everything... first love, first sex partner, first kiss, first boyfriend... She was madly in love with the man, even though he wouldn't admit he felt the same way. His fault was the fact that he hated speaking about emotions... but sometimes he did for her. And for that, she absolutely adored him. But she hadn't seen her boyfriend in nearly three months since she'd been locked up in a cage in the slave market. Oh, how she missed him... After a second, she blinked a few times before coming back to reality, and slipped into the warm car. She buckled herself in, curling up a bit to keep the heat around her body.

A push of the ignition button and her car rumbled and roared to life, its hugh-powered engine rumbling powerfully underneath the sleek hood ahead of them. A smile crept onto her lips at hearing the engine run, then it faded when she noticed how Kaysie was sitting. "Cold?" Without waiting for a reply, the lectoblix turned on the heater and adjusted the vents so the warm air would blow on the girl in the passenger seat. "Lemme know when you want that off," came her instructions as she shifted the car into reverse, backing out of the parking space and out of the parking lot at a reasonable speed to drive there. However, once she hit the actual road, she quickly raised the speed of her car and shot away from the marketplace, leaving it behind as if it were nothing but a distant memory of the past. Between the sound of the heater blowing air, the purr of the engine and the sound of manually shifting gears, there was silence, as Valeria preffered to drive without music. A smirk rose to her face suddenly. "So what, you've got no questions for me?" the lectoblix inquired, glancing at her with an amused look. "Maybe you'd like to know if I'm some sort of psychopath or crime lord or sexual deviant or something?" Valeria was only teasing about all of this, though she did want to hear her new servant speak. `•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´☠

𝔞 𝔡 𝔢 𝔩 𝔦 𝔫 𝔢 ❀ 𝔬 𝔞 қ The section of the marketplace that housed beings of mythical origins was one usually inhabited by creatures that could cause great mischief and harm. Some could enchant others with potent spells, some could fly on feathered or leathery wings, and others had control over a certain element. Many of these were unordinarily dangerous, but within this area there dwelled sitting lightly upon a wooden crate a girl that clearly was not one of those potent creatures. The fact that this pointed eared and long haired blonde female was not confined within iron bars was indication enough that she was not going to attempt escape. Though somewhat concerting at first, one found the girl gazing with much concern and affection at a black cage which would usually house a canary that now held within it a young tree placed at the side of her slaver, seated on a chair and reading a grimey newspaper. Adeline, as she was called, was a hamadryad, or a dryad connected to a tree through spirit, and her concern for the sake of her tree was what rooted her to the crate she sat upon with legs pulled up to her chest and confined by arms wrapped around them. "Do not worry, little one," a soft, sweetly melodic voice slid out from between the hamadryad's lips towards the tree, "We will be gone from here soon enough, and you shall be free of your prison." A soft sigh, and Adeline tore her eyes away from her beloved sapling and gazed out at the sea of people. The sooner she was purchased, the sooner she could be brought to a place where she could plant her life link within the fertile earth and tend to it once more. Until then, she was made to suffice with glancing at it with longing eyes. ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀

xxx We've been dreaming, but who can deny that it's the best way of living: between the truth and the lies. Kaysie had no intention of speaking at first, seeing as she just remained still and absorbed the heat that was blowing at her. Slowly, the color began to reappear in her skin, and her fingertips no longer had a blue tint to them. She was regaining herself, even though it would take much longer than the car ride to heal her completely. Hearing a separate sound other than the humming, clicking, and vibration... she opened her eyes, looking in the direction of Valeria. The lectoblix had mentioned questions, and Kaysie surely understood the humor in her words... but honestly, she had not thought of such a thing. If Valeria was truly something of the sort, Kaysie would end up finding out the hard way... So perhaps thinking before acting would have been a better action on her part.
Green eyes studied her savior for a long moment, actually thinking over the words. Psychopath... she could very well be one. But then again, anybody could be one... and for all Valeria knew, Kaysie could even be one. Only time would be able to reveal the answers, yet the human was not looking forward to finding out any baggage that was to be revealed. It was a long moment before she finally spoke, her voice sounding much better than earlier. Smoother, and more musical. "I suppose... I have a question." Kaysie went quiet for a moment, thinking over the words her in head in a way to figure out on how to throw them out in the open. But after thinking it through, she began again. "... Why me? Out of all the girls who were there, who had been there longer... why did I catch your attention?" She didn't mean to sound... ungrateful. It was more of the fact that she would rather have one of the other girls saved than herself, because that's just how she was. Giving. But since she was the one taken, she would not be ungrateful of any sort.

Now that she looked back upon it, her marketplace trip had taken substantially less time than she would have guessed it would, that she had jumped straight to purchasing Kaysie without speaking to any others. In fact, this girl did not even have any charms to show that she was one capable of being a maid or servant, which was what she wanted. All of this aside, though, the decision had just seemed to be right. "Y'know, I can't say I have an entire solid reason why," she began, her cold eyes returned to gaze intently to the road before her. "I can say it was for a lot of reasons: you're an attractive girl with some talents I wouldn't mind seeing in action, I could feel for you and your situation more than the others, and..." Here Valeria paused, thinking again. There was something different about her, she could feel it. Was it something she could explain? No. Could she say what made her think this? Not entirely. So, she sufficed to conclude: "there's something about you that everyone else lacked. Honestly I can't tell what it is, I don't even know, but it's there." The lectoblix steered them closer to the shopping center she aimed for, which they would probably reach in the next few trade offs of words.

xxx We've been dreaming, but who can deny that it's the best way of living: between the truth and the lies. Kaysie wanted to argue against that. Valeria did not know her situation, and although she could feel bad for the girl being locked away in a cage, her situation was not laid out on the table. The reason for her being there, the things she'd been through... The only thing the lectoblix knew was that Kaysie was in a cage and cold. That was it. And although the human wanted to argue against those words and show what should have been said... she did not. She could not look ungrateful for such an act... and for the fact that she was finally free. Well, sort of. More of the fact that she was free from the cold and the confines of a barred cage, and was now in a warm car with a comfortable seat.
"Okay..." Her voice was soft and quiet; unsure. Part of her knew that Valeria was not looking for someone like her, seeing as the decision had been far too quick. She could tell that the lectoblix hadn't been at the marketplace for very long before they'd came eye to eye, so some of the situation confused her. The question remained in her mind: Why me? though she would not bring it up again... atleast not any time soon. [] Okieday. ^-^ []

Lynette Claes Silverwater I'm cold...Dear me I'm cold. Won't someone give me a blanket? Lynette thought as she curled up tighter. Her small body was shaking slightly at the cold and she just wanted to leave this place. There were already buyers here and a few had stopped to look at her, but they didn't see much since she was curled up. When the guard barked at her to sit like a normal person, she winced and sat up like he'd said so that the buyers could see her better. Her ears flicked around nervously as others came to look at her. One even reached in to try and touch her ears. At this she quickly scrambled to the back of her cage and drew her knees up to her chest. How rude! You should ask before you touch! But Lynette knew these people didn't care. They were dealing in flesh and bodies after all. They simply wanted to test the merchandise. Crawling up to the front of her cage, she tried to feel some of the warmth that was coming off of one of the heaters a little ways away. It only warmed part of her arm, but that was just enough for now. However when they turned the heater off, a soft whine escaped her lips. Looking around she spotted a guard and asked quietly, "May I p-please have a blanket? The guard looked at her and smirked. Turning around and finding a rather tattered and filthy blanket he tossed it to her.
Her hand lashed out of the cage and snatched it before it hit the ground. Pulling it back into her, she looked at it and frowned. It was just a rag really. It wouldn't provide much, but Lynette knew better than to complain. Whipping it out once or twice she coughed as some of the dirt and dust came off of it. Still the girl pulled the little thing around her shoulders and sighed thankfully. It provided some shelter from the cold, and the goose bumps on her arms slowly faded away. Now that the cold was going away she was a bit more lenient with those that came looking at her. She allowed them to touch her and even allowed one lady to gently pet her ears. A low purr was in her throat when the woman did this, but it was only a momentary thing before she tugged on one of her ears making Lynette lash out at her and lightly scrape the woman's arm. The woman frowned and walked away her head held high. When her back was turned Lynette stuck her tongue out at the woman before going back to keeping herself warm. "This place is so bothersome..." She mumbled as she rubbed her arms.

Kyrian | Master | Half-Demon "Bothersome? I beg to differ, sweetheart." The deep voice came from behind the small kitsune, bellowing out of a man's throat. The guy was crouched down behind her cage, bright hazel eyes peering between the bars at her. His position was almost animal-like... His knees were bent and spread out to the sides, and his hands were perched upon the ground between them. If one didn't know any better, they could say he was some type of cat or dog.
The man's mouth opened, tongue coming out to lick over his lips some to moisten them. Brown hair was messy and somewhat spiked up -- but not with gel... More of just in its own unbrushed manner. His way of combing his hair was to run his fingers through it a few times and that was it. Yes, it was messy, but no it didn't look bad on him. Really, the style even went with his clothing. A loose pair of jeans and a black tshirt that was covered by a black jacket. He also had black fingerless gloves on, but that was mainly for his own enjoyment rather than to keep his hands warm. "It couldn't be that bad here... Warm bedrooms, hot gourmet meals, wonderful service." The man shot his eyes over to a guard, who shot a glare in return. It only made the stranger give a slight smirk that added onto his sarcasm. "I don't think I'd mind living in a five star hotel like this." His sense of humor was cruel, but he had no intention of making it that way. It was only an attempt to lighten the mood.

Lynette Claes Silverwater Hearing the voice come up from behind her, Lynette quickly turned around and scrambled backward a bit. Looking at him with scared yet curious eyes. He was rather handsome but something about him was mocking. And he'd proved that when he opened his mouth again and spoke. Frowning slightly, she resisted the urge to scratch him. So far he hadn't tried to touch her so at the moment he was okay in her mind. His sarcasm had a bite to it. Lynette gave a little, quiet laugh and looked at him with brighter eyes. "Would I have had the choice I'd much rather be in my own home than some hotel." Lynette moved forward slightly so she could see him better in the light. Her original assumption was correct. Very handsome. An interesting style of clothing, but she couldn't say much about her own clothing at the moment. Cat slitted teal green eyes looked at him with a much more curious and amused gaze. She wouldn't say much but he didn't seem that bad so she'd give him a chance. "W-were you thinking of buying me...?" Her voice was a little higher than a whisper and her tiny hands wrapped around the metal bars of her cage.
If he really was going to buy her, she hoped it would be sooner rather than later. She wanted to get somewhere warm and she had no doubt that his house was going to be warm. But.... in the off chance that he liked being cold rather than warm Lynette wouldn't try to complain. She didn't want to anger anyone. She didn't want anymore bruises than she already had. Reaching her hand out of her cage she lightly touched his hand. Warm. She was right! However when the guard banged on top of her cage to keep her paws to herself her hand shot back into the cage and she hugged herself. Her ears flicked back and forth nervously as she watched the man in front of her. A few people were getting impatient that the man was taking so much time to look at her and so a few grumbled that he should hurry up. Lynette didn't mind. The more one master looked at her the better chance she had of him taking her home.

╔══════════════╗ ♫ Ѧɾą∂ΐą ♫ ╚══════════════╝ "Listen to me, as I cast my head back, For I will enchant you with the song of my Pack, Even though they're made me outcast, I carry tradition with me"There was no struggle with her, as she was brought in with full escort. She had three guards, and many types of binds. She was complete with a gag, and her wrists locked behind her back in harsh leather. Silver, they knew was something of a menace to this creature, though she wore a silver pendants of a pentacle, with a back of leather, attached to a leather thong about her neck. Her eyes were more sorrowful the angry this evening. there was no true fight to her spirit. She'd learned painfully that she was to respect males, of her kind of not. She preferred her kind, as humans were more beastly then she, but there was no complaints.
Aradia was the daughter of alphas. She had had a pretty happy life, without much to complain about. that was, until her mother died, leaving her alone with her dear old dad. He was a tyrant, and though he'd loved both herself and her mother when she'd been around, he was quick to jump the bandwagon and take a new bride. It was then that the problems had started.
She looked about at the other things in cages as she passed by. Her own eyes searched in desperation for a way out. It was no until they reached a cage with a careful hook in it, and doubled, square bars that the guards fell back. Bringing her hands to rest upon the hook overhead, she stayed frozen, as the removed the gag, that had kept her from biting. Then, the released the extra binds on her hands, once she'd been securely in place.
the bars were iron, so they were not harmful to her, but they still provided her with less then desirable conditions. She looked out of the bars as the men backed away skittishly, but as if it had been routine. She sat upon the floor of her cage, her dress rather ragged as she looked out upon the rows of cages. She didn't like feeling trapped. She was a free thing. A lycan. she needed to run, and run free. there was no other options. She was desperate, but she wasn't stupid. And so, she sat, waiting, hoping that someone would come for her quickly. Leaning against the bars, she closed her eyes to the world around her, trying to think of her mother, and times that had been happier, and free of humans.[ Caged ] ღ [ Afraid ] ღ [ Lonely ] ღ [In need of a Run ]

Kyrian | Master | Half-Demon Kyrian did not care whether the people behind him were getting impatient, or whether the guard did not like the girl touching his hand. He was extremely warm -- warmer than the human body should be... But it came as no surprise when one knew what exactly he was. With the loud bang from the guard, Kyrian's eyes instantly darkened and he shifted his attention up to the rude-a**. Instantly, the half-demon stood up and growled deep in his chest. "Was that really necessary, rude-a**? Maybe I asked her to reach out... Are you really going to deny a perfectly good customer of your merchandise?" The growl deepened with each word, his eyes finally losing their hazel color to where they looked almost black.
The guard studied Kyrian for a long moment, almost wanting to say something rude... but shook his head before mumbling an apology and turning to move back to his post. This pleased the half-demon, and he allowed a small smirk to cross his lips before his body crouched back down beside her cage. His eyes were surprisingly back to their bright hazel color as he looked to her, the smirk remaining just a bit. "Purchase you, indeed. I was thinking about looking around at the other women, but they all seem so dull and boring. You, on the other hand, are seeming to enjoy your five star hotel." The bad humor just seemed to be getting worse and worse by the minute..
