A wide grin spread over his face, her reaction was even better than he'd hoped for. He returned the kiss and the hug with more enthusiasm than he usually displayed, even in front of close friends. Finally accomplishing something he'd been planning for awhile was actually a wonderful feeling, especially considering that most of his other plans backfired in a most terrible way.
"Thank you! I really needed this." He took the basket and examined the contents before setting it down next to the couch. "I got a movie for us to watch, too. I figured we've pretty much done all the couple stuff before we were a couple, so... couldn't do any harm to do it once again, right?" He shrugged his shoulders a little.

She could feel that happiness in him. That smile was as real as it was big. It was these times that really reminded Sonnet why she cared about Deskri for all these years, because in all honesty, his smile was one of the most wonderful smiles in the whole world.
"Oh? What movie?" she asked as she moved over where the food was located, instinctively picking up a sandwich and beginning to nibble on it.
She chuckled a bit at the couples statement. "Well at least this time around there can be more making out then in previous versions. An improvement if I say so myself."

"Uhhh one of those romantic comedies, I read some reviews online, people seem to think it's good." He neglected to look at the cover again, and just rushed through putting it in the DVD player and then sat down next to Sonnet and grabbed one of the plain PB sandwiches. "Hopefully it's as good as they say."
He pushed the play button, and to his utmost horror, the movie he'd gotten was most definitely NOT a romcom. No. It was a porno. He nearly spat out his food, flailing to turn it off as fast as he could before the damage could get any worse. Between the two motions, he managed to inhale part of his sandwich and began coughing up a lung as he finally managed to turn the TV off.
"OH, MY, GOD." he finally managed to gasp through desperate deep inhalations. "THAT WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED I SWEAR TO GOD IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A PORNO."

It was...awkward at first, but honestly whatever embarrassed she was was feeling vanished when Deskri started flailing and inhaling food.
"Are you okay?" she asked, honestly forgetting what he was apologizing for. He practically just choked after all. She had been half a second away from preforming some sort of dislodging technique to help him

After one more coughing fit Deskri nodded his head while breathing deeply. "Y-yeah... I'm okay..." He sighed and leaned back against the couch. "I swear, Sonnet I really, honestly truly did not mean to order that!" He pointed at the now off screen of the TV with a look of utmost horror. He couldn't even imagine what she was thinking, but he automatically assumed it wasn't anything good.

Sonnet tilted her head for a moment. "I don't understand..." There was a pause as her inner panic mode slowly shut down, and thus beginning to remember what had been on screen before, and a redness spread across her face.
"Ohyeahthat..." she said quickly, before taking in a deep breath to remind herself not to talk that fast. "I-it's okay Deskri. Accidents happen."

For a split second he wondered if he was off the hook, perhaps she hadn't seen it at all.... but then, she remembered. "That... that was not an accident that was a travesty of all travesties!" He leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands. "It figures things just can't go completely right.. not even once." He muttered under his breath before breathing in to speak louder, "I guess the movie thing is a no-go, so... TV shows? I don't know if anything good is on."
[With the amount of time that has passed, Mizu and I decided that the day ended quite well, and that's that.]
