Shin watched, eyes gleaming as Master Daichi struck the dummy over and over. He examined every detail he could letting it all soak in so he could mimic it correctly. As the monk finished his demonstration he went into another description giving more pointers about how to perform the actions correctly. As his words blended together Shin could feel the moment drawing closer to him being able to move, to really train the style.

Shin shifted his body making sure his weight was even, as he did this he noticed that very little adjustments needed to be made, he balance was about as good as it would get. This tugged at his stomach making him think back to when Daichi suggested he was trained once before. This thought wasn't held long however. Shin struck forward mimicking the monks stance and strike. Curling his figures a bit before impact, making sure he did not lean either way with each palm thrust. As he continued to strike the dummy his legs began to burn, his arm grew stiff and tight. Shin held off the pain as long as he could until his muscles felt like they were made of water. Threw this feeling Shin struck forward once more but his legs gave way forcing him off balance making him stumble forward into the dummy. Catching himself on it before he fell over Shin thought to himself
" The strain on my legs is tremendous after a twenty or so of those strikes. Maybe if I stretch, keep my limbs limber I can sustain the activity longer.. Standing up off the dummy and looking toward Daichi he said between breaths The strain this puts on my legs is demanding. I am wondering if I would be aloud a small break to stretch my limbs? Limber my muscles so they don't cramp so quickly. Do you think this would help me perform the style better or is there a better way I may prepare my body for the work out? Shin's exhaustion could be heard in every word, the strain he put on his body during his work out, the chakra he used up while learning the new jutsu. he was almost tapped out. However the look on his face plainly showed he was not ready to quite, he was willing and ready to push his body to it's limits and only needed direction to do so.

As he watched, Daichi was happy with the progress he saw, but he soon saw Shin's legs starting to shake and give with the strain of holding the stance. It wasn't at all unusual for students to feel this strain and in fact very few could properly hold the stance for very long at first. What was strange however was that Daichi suddenly realized that he had forgotten something very critical. Disappointingly, he looked around, but didn't see what he needed anywhere nearby, causing him to inwardly curse his forgetfulness. Left without the bamboo stick he used to hit student's legs who couldn't handle the strain, Daichi could do nothing but improvise with the situation.

As Shin asked the question Daichi smiled understandingly at him, but then suddenly and rather surprisingly launched forward at the student, his arm already cocked back behind his shoulder before striking forward in a palm strike at the child's chest. Then suddenly, the hand stopped, only an inch away from Shin, but the young child's relief at the lack of impact would last a mere split second as he would suddenly feel a force rocketing him backwards through the air about 10 feet across the courtyard. With the boy flying away from him, Daichi stood at his full height once again, waiting for the dust to clear once the child hit the ground and then answered his question. "Yes, stretching would be a great idea. However, this is something you should have done prior to beginning your training. Perhaps next time, instead of sitting around while waiting for your instructor, you will spend your time preparing for the lesson with some stretching and warm-ups."

Daichi's methods weren't exactly popular among the students, but nothing sealed a lesson in a student's mind then immense amounts of pain, at least not in his mind. Either way, this was the method Daichi used to make sure his students stayed in line and learned their lessons, not wasting his or other instructor's time. Of course, Daichi had held back extensively, using the attack merely to surprise Shin and drive the message home, not critically injure him. The force of the attack was large, but he would feel no internal damage. "So, feel free to stretch this time, but then get back into your stance and continue your training until I relieve you. In the future, you would be wise to continue doing things until I say for you to stop. We may not depend on muscle strength in this style, but that doesn't mean some level of discipline in exercise and training is not required."

"I see, thank you Master DaiChi," he responded and rolled his shoulders to dislodge his black coat. The article collasped at his feet and exposed his simple sleeveless vest, a white garment he often wore prior to working for hours in the Rice Fields. Now he inhaled deeply and opened his eyes to observe the monks action, curling his own fingers in anticipation. He could easily see how anxious Shin was becoming, a sight that unnerved the Ushio as the angular boy began to shake.

Once Daichi gave the order to strike, Tensai's open calm sought the dummy mere seconds after Shin's first strike. The initial impact conveyed a dozen messages to the Ushio such as his improper stance, lack of sufficient striking power, and uneven weight distribution. With every strike the Ushio strove to correct these faults but he found himself breathing heavily long before Shin. His thighs were alight, as if molten senbon found themselves buried into every centimeter of his flesh. His muscles cramped painfully but there was an unrelenting determination in the students eyes and he refused to slow his pace, even when Shin paused for a much needed break.

His single-minded focus on the dummy left him deaf to the exchange of words between master and student but he found his progress coming to an sudden halt when Shin was launched from his position by the bald monk. Tensai's jaw dropped at the frightening display of strength and turned to regard the monk in apparent awe and fear. Abrubtly he returned his attention to the dummy and renewed his vigorous offensive with faster strikes. Although Shin was allowed time to stretch, Tensai wasn't envious of the monks permission to do so and suffered immensly as a result. Though he tried to tell himself it was determination that kept him from stopping, fear pushed him hard to keep striking even though his palms were rubbed raw through constant contact with the ricebags. Once, his knee gave out and he toppled but he countinued striking even while downed. He was quick to fall back into his stance but his legs were quivering fiercely and his furious offense began to slow.

By this time smears of blood painted the ricebags and Tensai found it hard to see through the sweat dripping down his face. The pain faded to dull throb and the world seemed muted, the dummy beginning to shift subtly in order to dissuade his progress. It was all in his mind though, his body had long since fell into the countinuous cycle of correction after every strike, his legs still shifting in order to find a perfect balance and distribution of weight.

When Daichi launched forward with his palm thrust Shin body tightened expecting the force of impact, and when there was none a look of disappointment came over his face. This look was only held for a moment however because when Shin was launched threw the air and he felt the force in his chest from the attack a smile sliced threw his face and fire filled his eyes. As he connected to the ground with a thud and rolled for several feet Shin heard Master Daichi speaking. Slowly pulling himself off the ground Shin arms shook, from excitement or from his muscles being over worked was anyone's guess. Once he finally brought himself to his feet he staggered backward for a couple of paces before regaining his balance completely. Throwing his head back causing his wild and mangled hair to be tossed out of his face. Looking out at the sky Shin aloud the pain and torment that wrecked his body to flow, closing his eyes for a moment he received brief images of him being slammed into trees, dressing shallow cuts and injured limbs. This type of pain wasn't new to him, in fact it seemed he found something that he rather enjoyed from his past.

Coming back from his memory laps Shin began to stretch his arms, once the felt nice and loose he moved on to stretching his back, then legs. Once he felt his body was nice and limber he walked back over to his dummy took his stance and began striking out with his palm thrust. Over and over Shin would strike forward, his form held tightly as his legs trembled with pain and he let forth a small "huh" with each strike. Every once in a while Shin would lose his balance and teeter to one side or the other, he would quickly regain his balance while keeping the rhythm of his strike.
"Huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh, huh." Is all that would be head from Shin, ever second this would be heard from him followed up with a low thud from his hand slamming into the dummy. Shin started to notice that if he focused more in the rotation of his back he could put more force into the blow with out forcing his arms to work as much. Small adjustments in his from like that would be noticed by Daichi, with each strike Shin would find some way to make the next strike better until he found the perfect way to strike the dummy.

Nodding slowly and letting out a few approving grunts as he watched both of the students complete the palm strikes well enough for their level, Daichi was about ready to accelerate them both to the next part of their training. It seemed that the Ushio boy was fortunate enough to have seen Shin's punishment, and despite his own pains, learn from his mistakes and kept going. Either way, next up were the kicks...

"Alright, that's good enough for that, you both seem to have the stance down. Keep in mind however, in the later stages, the exact stance will not be required. The stance is used to strengthen the appropriate muscles and force you to focus on the method of your palm strikes. You will see why it is so important later. For now however, we move on to the kicks. For these, simply keep your arms to your side, but hold your right arm up when kicking with your right leg, and left arm up when kicking with the left. The arm movement is meant to act as a potential guard, but focus on the kick's accuracy in striking the target. the force will come later. You can both take a short rest and stretch, but I expect you to be back to work quickly!"

Directing them to kick the side of the dummy where another rice bag was placed for them to aim at, Daichi stepped aside to watch his students attempt this next phase. He gave no further instruction in the form as kicks within this style became an individual's own and would be adjusted later to match their own style with the secrets which would allow them to kick in much the same way they would be able to punch.

When Master Daichi started speaking Shin stop striking the bag and turned to listen. While doing the he stretched his back, legs, abdomen, and arms to be ready for the next set of training. Once Diachi gave all the instructions that would be needed for them to perform the kick correctly Shin moved instantly back into training.

Shin stepped in front of the straw dummy and delivered a kick with his left foot. The strike was sent a shock wave of pain threw his foot but he continued none the less. This time a right kick and again the pain went threw his entire leg when the kick landed into the dummy. Left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right Shin repeated this rythem constanly making sure that his arm was placed well enough to block each time he struck, and making sure the force of each kick was strong. As he continued however the stress on this legs began to wear on him and after a while the power of each kick dwindled becoming little more than taps. He kept pushing threw the pain and trying to keep pace but it seemed that he would collapse at any moment.

Tensaiji Ushio
| Otogakure |Academy Student | Ushio | Sealing Master |
// Chakra Control & Combo User//

Daichi's words brought Tensai from his reverie, bringing a startled look over his face when he struck once again out of what seemed like sheer habit. He abandoned the horse riding stance to stand tall and felt his thighs scream in protest then clench tightly enough to bring him to his knees. By biting his lip he managed to keep from crying out but it was obvious that he was in pain, just by looking at the ghastly grimace spread of his countenance.

While Shin decided to throw himself directly into training Tensai assumed a cross-legged stance on the floor and began stretching his back while atttempting to control his breathing. The rythmn set by Shin's kicks provided a simple metronome for him to follow while he extended his legs and stretched his torso to touch his toes. He held each stretch for no more than seven seconds and once he managed to slow his breathing and heart rate, he rose slowly and took a final deep breath.

Although it took longer for the Ushio to recover he tackled his training with renwed vigor. His right arm rose to his torso and bent into a tight, acute angle with his palm facing the ground. Immediately afterwards he rotated his upper torso and brought his right leg to strike the ricebag that represented the dummies right side, just below the rib cage. His leg rose, knee bent, before his foot snapped out and struck the dummy with a solid, percussive blow. His leg leg was planted firmly in the ground while he struck but by the time his right leg fell back to the ground, Tensai was rotating his torso for another strike at the dummy. His left leg connected with the ricebag and its contents rustled audibly.

Although he was trying hard to hide it, every kick produced a pulsating wave of pain within his thighs. Every extension of his leg felt like the muscles would seize once again but if it did come to that the Ushio was determined to press on though he doubted he could do much considering the pain he felt the last time it happened. He could only hope his fear of the bald monk would keep his body going or that he would soon fall into another deep reverie where pain was a phantom thing and his thoughts could roam free.

Slowly circling around the two as they performed the exercise, Daichi could tell that they were in pain, but showed no remorse in forcing them to continue. The fact that they were so quickly fading was only evidence that they needed more training in his eyes. Stronger legs would lead to speed and the ability to endure high speeds more often, though with the way the Daidoumyaku trained such aspects, they would never know they were building strength. Noting the different ways they kicked, Daichi was finally satisfied with their training in this respect and decided it was time to continue on...

"Alright you two... that's enough of that. Your kicks seem to be good enough for the time being. Keep in mind, we do not teach a method for kicking, just the skills needed to utilize the style's strike with specialized technique. This leads to a personal and individualized form of kicking, leading to greater versatility within the style. We will of course work on them more in the future, but for now, they seem good enough. Now then, the next level is defense. Take a breather and I'll be right back." Daichi left the two students alone for a few minutes as he walked back into the dojo, finding an equipment room where he grabbed a set of foam shuriken, heavily weighted to feel and somewhat throw like the real thing, but made to be non-deadly. He also grabbed two more specialized dummies and then brought them out to the yard where his students awaited his return.

Taking a position in front of the children, he stood tall and asked them to stand as well. Holding one of the shuriken up, he pushed it against his skin and dragged it across his arm to assure his students that this exercise would not cut them. "For this exercise, you'll each stand where you were in the Horse Stance and I will throw these shuriken at you. Your job is to attempt to deflect them with kunai. Don't feel bad if you can't do it at first though... these things take time. You will not be able to deflect the majority of them."

Once they had readied themselves with kunai in hand, and gotten into the horse stance, Daichi walked about 25 feet away and began firing off the foam shuriken, tossing them two at a time, one at Tensaiji and the other at Shin. Each toss came about 2 seconds after the last, and they came from differing heights, speeds and angle... at times, the shuriken would even cross paths and change targets midway to confuse them, a testament to Daichi's skill in wielding them. After this, all that would be needed was the final lesson and these two would have graduated the first stage of the taijutsu.

When Daichi told them they could stop Shin fell backward hitting ground with a thump and letting out deep breaths and listening to Daishi speak again. Laying thinking what could possible be next Shin felt a growl in his stomach which brought for images of teriaki chicken, sauteed green beans, and rice. His eye began to drift off and his mouth began to water as he thought of the food. Just as the monk returned Shin was deep into his thoughts of food once the monk started speaking more about training Shin was brought back to reality with another deep growl from he torso.

As Daich explained the next phase of training Shin stood taking taking the horse stance and placed his kunai in a defensive stance. As the first kunai was throw Shin moved his Kunai into the foam shurikens path and blocked it. Letting himself get distracted Shin got nailed in the forehead with the second, then the chest with the third. He moved his kunai deflecting the forth, then the fifth and the sixths pegged his right shoulder. Shin blocked as many of the shuriken as he could but was continually struck back the projectiles. After a few minute Shin started getting the hang of it and and began blocking the projectiles more often than he was before, but he still was being pelted all to often.

Tensaiji Ushio

The Ushio carelessly draped his body over the dummy and drew in large breaths, a heavy stench filling his nostrils and drops of sweat descended onto the ricebags. His bloodiied palms stung with every movement of his hand and the layer of sweat didnt seem to alievate any pain. At the very least he was no longer bleeding but his legs wobbled spasmodically once Daichi returned.

When he managed to stand without the aid of the dummy Tensai blinked sweat from his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. He looked miserable and his eyes drooped in exhaustion but there was still some determination in his eye. Wordlessly he drew a kunai and held it in a reverse-grip, slipping his index finger into the hole at its base. With obvious discomfort he adopted the Horse Stance, kunai held in his right hand, and waited for the inevitable.

The first shuriken clipped his shoulder when he leaned to the side to avoid it but the following was knocked away by his kunai. Exchanging his grip to a more traditional hold, Tensai focused more on pushing the shurikens away from his body while leaning in the other direction. It wasn't as successful as he hoped, deflecting two out of every five shuriken but each strike was never a solid blow to a vital portion of his body. He soon launched his kunai at a foam shuriken and drew another, leaning and dipping to avoid the heavy barrage of projectiles.

This portion of training was alot easier he realized and a faint smile tugged at his lips, despite the pain he felt.

Daidoumyaku Master - Daichi
| Earth Element| Daidoumyaku Instructor | Otogakure | NPC |

After several minutes of this, the seemingly endless barrage of foam shuriken stopped, leaving the students with a few moments to relax. "As expected, your form is terrible. Both of you had a few lucky successes, but none of it was as refined as it should be. Each deflected projectile must be seen and dealt with precisely. The random swipes I saw were insufficient. However, such a level is to be expected of students just starting out, so for now, that's as far as we go. In the future though, if you train yourselves and master this style... no projectile can ever hit you. Now, pick up all the shuriken I just threw at you and I'll set up the final technique for this level, the Hakike no Tsuki." Expecting both of the students to follow his instructions, Daichi left them to it and set up the special wooden dummies he had brought with him, which looked to be identical to the one they were already using, except that it's base was much sturdier.

Replacing the old dummies with the specialized ones, he waited for the students to finish collecting the shuriken and then instructed them to pay attention. "This is a specially created training dummy, which will help you to master the first technique of the Daidoumyaku. As you already know, the Daidoumyaku uses the air itself, or more accurately, sound waves carried through the air to achieve it's greatest effect. By channeling chakra into the palm and vibrating it to create violent sound waves, a Daidoumyaku practitioner is capable of channeling those waves into a human target to achieve a desired effect."

"At the higher levels, this can be extremely harmful, even fatal in some cases, but for you, it means little more then unsettling someone's stomach."
Standing in front of one of the dummies, Daichi assumed the horse stance, holding himself firmly, distributing his weight properly, and moved his arms into the formations he had taught during the palm strikes. "It may take a few tries to get used to, but watch what I do... pull your hand back." As he spoke, he showed the maneuver with his hands, describing every detail as he moved... "Begin to channel chakra into the arm and tense your muscles until you feel them shake, then channel that into your palm and the chakra gathered there and then... Strike!"

As he said the word, Daichi's hand thrust forward directly into the stomach of the dummy. Not much seemed to happen on the surface, as the strike wasn't particularly hard, but the lights which were the eyes of the dummy quickly lit up and let out a resounding *Ding*. "You'll know you performed the technique properly when you see the eyes flash and hear the ding. If only the eyes flash, you struck the right area, but didn't manipulate the sound vibrations properly, which means the technique failed. Remember, this isn't about force... it's about sending vibrations through an opponent's digestive track to make them nauseated and sick. Okay... go ahead and try" Moving out of the stance, he moved to the side to observe his student's training.

{{Go ahead and make all three of your training posts in one post. This technique takes 3 posts to master... so at least 3 paragraphs of sufficient length are needed and I need to see good description (Not that I doubt either of you will do this, since all of your posts have been this way... but there it is.)}}

Tensaiji Ushio
| Otogakure |Academy Student | Ushio | Sealing Master |
// Chakra Control & Combo User//

Tensai wheezed and gasped for air once the barrage ended, dropping his arms to his sides and letting the kunai slip from his grasp. He looked crestfallen as Daichi lectured the two on their poor form and lack of skill but it seemed to be the norm for other students. However, Tensai's family had very little tolerance for failure and in their eyes, falling into the 'norm' warranted long hours working the fields while his peers countinued their training. Scowling at his own weakness the academy student crouched to pick up as many of the foam shuriken as he could while his muscles protested and clenched in discomfort.

Once his task was complete he stood straight to observe the final lesson, staring intently as if to divine the mechanics behind the technique Daichi was preparing to display. Once they were allowed to attempt the technique, Tensai assumed the Horse Stance and steadied his breathing.

His right hand was pulled backwards, the palm facing the dummy and his body slightly turned to deliver more force into the blow. Chakra began to bubble from his core, rushing along his chakuratory system and concentrating at his shoulders. His tense began to quiver and Tensai took the involuntary motion as an indication to strike, allowing his chakra to surge along his forearm and coalesce at his palm where it was launched directly into the dummies...bottom rib. Tensai felt the impact in his wrist and the raw flesh on his palm stung from the blow. The dummy only shifted and the lights didn't even flash in it's eyes. A dark sigh escaped his lips and Tensai drew his arm backwards yet again.

He attempted the technique again, cocking his arm back and twisting his torso while calling upon a stream of chakra. He focused on the dummies stomach and set himself firmly into the Stance. The wind stirred at his feet and his arm began to shake from exertion but Tensai showed no indication of striking just yet. Then, without warning, his palm lashed out and connected with the dummies stomach in an audible clap that brought twin wells of light in the dummies eyes. Unfortunately there was no *Ding* and Tensai realized his problem now was building up an adequate amount of chakra and properly distributing it through his palms.

His planted his legs firmly this time and his right arm was pulled back as far as it would go, his muscles bulging against his skin and thick veins clearly visible to any onlookers. Chakra flared from his core and converged at his shoulder, where the twisting motion of his torso would assist its flow towards his palm. Now the chakra was molded and forged into a shape that resembled a needle with a heavy flat surface behind it. Once he struck the needle would enter the dummies body while the flat surface would hammer it deeply into the dummy, spreading the force of his blow evenly and deeply into the target. Inhaling deeply Tensai prepared and though his legs were quivering from his exertion he focused on perfecting his palm strike. He almost became a blur and he transitioned from the Horse Stance to the palm strike, fully extending his right arm and launching his forged chakra down in his arm. The chakra needle penetrated deeply into the current as his palm crashed against the rice bags, jostling its contents and opening some of the wounds on Tensai's palm. At the same time his chakra erupted within the dummies stomach and it's eyes were brightly illuminated by dual lights and a clearly audible 'DING' filled the air. Tensai withdrew his bleeding palm and clenched his fists, despite the sharp pins of pain he felt just from moving.

He didn't feel any different, no sudden increase in confidence and no amazing abilities gained. Sure the Hakike no Tsuki could be an invaluable addition to a shinobi's arsenal but when he decided to undertake the path of a ninja he expected early benefits and amazing new skills within a few months of training. However the Ushio was not dissappointed, in fact he prefered the feeling of working hard to aqquire greater strength but he knew the greatest strength a ninja would ever have was his mind. Though exhausted a weary smile split across his face and he suddenly bowed to the monk.

"Thank you Master Daichi,"

Although his training may not be completed he felt it was necessary for the monk to receive his thanks, no matter how unexpected and abrubt it was.

Shin fell to one knee when the monk told them they were threw with the Shuriken training. The fact that they both did poorly was disheartening to Shin but he was determined to finish this training and wouldn't let a few words stop him.

Once Daichi instructed them to gather all the foam projectiles Shin groaned pulling himself back up standing on both feet. He slowly moved to each piece of foam and bent over to pick them up. Each one made his back tense tighter than the last. Finally all the shuriken were gathered and Shin began to listen to the next step in his training.

Following Daichi's instruction Shin approached the new Dummy and assumed the horse stance... Needless to say his muscles did not agree with the action. Fighting threw the toughness and tightness of holding the stance Shin began to consecrated on performing the attack correctly. As he fell deep into his thought his body froze in place not moving or twitching with the pain of the stance, just froze as if he had fallen asleep while holding the position.

Even though on the outside it seemed as Shin had shut down on the inside was a totally different story. Concentrating on the attack had summoned forth vivid memory's locked in Shin head, so vivid in fact that it seemed as though he was watching a movie of himself and a old lady whose face was strikingly similar to his. Shin stood in a field in front of a dummy similar to the one Daichi had just brought out. He was striking the dummy over and over again and each time he was struck in the back of the head by the older women as she said " Focus your chakra! Force it into the dummy and bounce it around!" Shin flinched with each strike to the back of his head and tried again, and again, and again.

After each thump to the back of Shins head he became more and more frustrated he was about to burst. Just before he did he took a deep breath pulled back his arm and focused his chakra into it. Building it as much as he could Shin's arm began to shake and quiver under the stress of the built up power until he sprung his arm forward and tapped the dummy's stomach. As soon as he did this his chakra rushed forth into the dummy bouncing around it's insides and causing it to go off. The older women frowned at him and said " About time, you better pick up the pace and start learning these things faster or you will be no use to me!"

The memory faded and Shin was brought back to reality by the faint sound of a ding. Still in the horse stance Shin's eyes flared with fire as he drew his arm back and built a large concentration of chakra into it. Just like in his memory his arm twitched and shook under the stress and just like in the memory he shot his arm forward to strike the dummy. Letting his hand thump lightly into its stomach he forced all the built up chakra into the dummy in the shape of a ball and bounced it around causing the eye to light and a ding to be heard. Holding his palm on the dummy's stomach for a few moments Shin let lose heavy breaths as he replayed the memory over and over in his head. Not sure what to do now he stood there in the horse stance, hand still placed on the dummy's stomach.

Daidoumyaku Master - Daichi
| Earth Element| Daidoumyaku Instructor | Otogakure | NPC |

Watching his students warm up to attempt the technique, Daichi seemed almost bored by this part of the training. Typically, most academy students needed to return for several lessons before they were able to master the fusion of chakra into a taijutsu technique, so Daichi knew he was probably in for a long haul. These two however, would prove to be different and would completely shock Daichi.

Looking on at the students, Shin seemed to simply being staring at the dummy, but his stance was impeccable. His legs were not quivering, his hands placed exactly in the way they were supposed to be, the boy seemed almost to be in a state of meditation, much like that that Daichi and his advanced students would assume. It was quite impressive to see the boy holding such a stance even after he was already so tired, but he had no idea what was going on inside his head.

Looking over to the Ushio, the boy was quiet, but determined. Imagining that the boy's mind was rushing with thought and analysis as he had been told, he watched the first strike fail utterly. Sighing heavily, Daichi thought that perhaps what was said of the Ushio was an exaggeration, until on the very next strike, not more then 30 seconds later brought out the 'Ding' from the dummy. "What?... with only one previous attempt, he already got vibrations down?" What was even more shocking was the boy's next strike which landed not more then 30 seconds after the second, which made the eyes light up with the accompanying 'Ding'... showing that the boy had learned the technique perfectly.

Shocked by the fact that the child had learned the technique and performed it in only 3 strikes, Daichi could hardly believe what he had seen. Then suddenly, Daichi's head turned back to Shin as he felt something suddenly stir within the boy. His hand was already cocked back in the proper position for the technique, when Daichi suddenly realized that his arm and palm were already quivering and about to launch forward... "No way..."

Watching Shin deliver the blow, Daichi was utterly blown away at the quality of form and proficiency with which this young boy's first strike was launched. He could tell even before the strike landed that the dummy's eyes would light up and the 'Ding' would sound. And he was right. As the blow landed, both of the dummy's eyes flashed brightly and a loud 'Ding' resounded throughout the courtyard, leaving an air of silence throughout the entire area as Shin simply stood motionless with his hand still implanted in the dummy's gut. To say that Daichi was surprised would be an understatement... he was utterly amazed. He had never seen someone master the first technique in one strike when having never performed it before... and more then that, his form and execution of the technique was flawless, as if he had been performing this technique for years already.

Looking back and forth between the two students, he knew he would have an interesting report to write to Elise concerning their progress, as was the standard... but he could already tell that these two were special. Bowing back to the Ushio politely, Daichi put on the warm smile he so often did, hiding his true amazement at their progress, and congratulated them... "Excellent work you two. You've managed to learn the technique rather quickly for your level. Most students require several days with individual training sessions to learn this technique, but you have both performed it in less then 10 minutes... truly impressive. Of course, by no means have you mastered all there is to know of first stage and you'll need to practice to truly master that technique in combat, but you have both shown incredible progress."

"Congratulations."
The monk said with an uplifting tone in his voice... "I pronounce you both to be Stage 1 Masters of the Daidoumyaku. Remember... we must always uphold the honor of the Daidoumyaku, but keep it secret from outsiders, to assure that such techniques do not fall into the wrong hands, to be used improperly. What you learn here, you keep here, until the day a student of this country looks up to you as their master. Understood?" Daichi then stopped, waiting for a response, but as soon as he got one, he would dismiss them back into Yasa's care.

"I already promised you that, dun worry the secrets are safe with me." Just as shin finished speaking a loud grumble would be heard from his body as he bent over clenching his stomach saying " Ugh! I need some fooood soooon." The harm honey tone Shin normally carried was gone. His hungry and achy body were at there limit Shin was about to keel over if he didn't rest properly with some good food soon.
