Aludra Yvette... The unicorn was trotting around her in a mocking way, almost daring Aludra to make a move. She gripped her wand and pointed it at the haughty creature. “Petrificus Totalus!” she shouted. Aludra let out a groan of relief as the beast tilted to one side and fell to the ground with a thud. ...6th Year Slytherin

 *Unicorn CAUGHT!* AWESOME JOB, ALUDRA!
You caught it! I was just about to post again as the demon kid but great job! Oh, your not awake, *Ennervate*. You awaken. You did wonderful. My strategy was to try and distract you with the child but you did your job and focused.
Well done.

0-Azula-0 ((What do I do? I missed that demon post.)) It's fine, when the task is done, the creatures are gone too. My strategy was that you may focus on the demon post, and as you did that the unicorn would vanish. But you stuck to your job, well done!

Aludra Yvette... Aludra had begun to cry. Finally it was over. With a quick wave of Aludra’s wand, the unicorn sprung back to life. The valiant creature shook out the leaves that had embedded her hair and ran off into the forest. Aludra smiled, relieved that this seemingly never-ending nightmare was over. She turned to the child to put it out of its misery, but it had disappeared. Of course, it was just a distraction, not a muggle child in pain. "I'm such a fool." she cried, the forest had taken such a toll on her nerves. Aludra tried to wipe her eyes but just got more dirt in them and cried more from the stinging.
*****
As she walked out from the dark of the forest and back into the now bright lights, a wave of happiness washed over her. Aludra has beaten the first task by the skin of her teeth. She stowed her wand in her pocket and started to think about how good a bath sounded. ...6th Year Slytherin

Alright- Splendid! This concludes Aludra's first task! I thought I could trick her into being distracted but nope, she is very focused! Of course, I would never put a real muggle child out there Aludra, for if you had done it in the end...no...I will never make murder a part of a task or game. But you stayed focused, you were very determined- A true champion quality! Until Liviana's task- goodnight!

I walk out into the field once more...smiling at everyone reading.
"The last champion to face their task, last but not least- LIVIANA!"
I smile again, and wish her all the good luck I can in my smile.
The first task...has begun!

Liviana waited timidly at the edge of the forest. She looked back into the boisterous crowd, trying to find a face, any familiar face. She had never felt this helpless before, not even as a small and plain child in the muggle world. ‘Please, please, please,’ she thought, willing the task to be over. ‘Just think. In an hour from now, you can be safe in the common room by the fire. It’s going to happen. Unless you get really hurt.’ She cringed. Suddenly she caught a glimpse of her fellow Ravenclaws, cheering, screaming, and waving their arms to the point of looking mad. Liviana couldn’t help but smile, and she suddenly knew she could do this. She would make it out alive, and nothing would stop her. She pulled out her faithful wand, and began twirling it between her fingers.
Liviana did not hear Professor Sing's well wishes. She was already staring determinedly down the path, her eyes narrowed in the same way before she attempted a new spell. The forest’s ancient trees shielded the sun’s truthful rays from its sinister fortress. The light of day could not reach the mysterious forest. “Lumos,” she whispered, and her wand alighted, its tip blazing with the same fire in Liviana’s eyes. She took a deep, calming breath, and took her first step into the Dark Forest.

The shadows enclosed around her, and the cheering crowd grew more and more distant as Liviana continued her trek through the Dark forest. She held her wand even further out from her body as she walked on. Suddenly he wand snagged on something. Liviana froze, thinking she had come upon something dangerous. Her mind raced, but her heart beat faster. She felt weak, and then realized it was only some large spider webs. ‘Way to go, stupid,’ she thought. ‘Get it together! If you’re already going nutters over some webbing, there’s no way you’re going to make it!’ When she was done self-deprecating herself, she cried “Diffindo!” and cleared the old cobwebs from her path. Liviana kept walking, wondering how large those spiders had to have been.

Liviana saw out of the corner of her eye a large, shimmering object. It moved gracefully and proudly between the hedges. ‘The unicorn!’ she thought.

Liviana cried out in frustration as the unicorn darted away. She slammed her fists on the ground. After a moment, she picked herself up. 'No use crying over spilt milk,' she thought.
