Ovan half heard them in his dreams, like he could hear parts of it but not make sense of it toataly.

Renn looked at her sadly "I still love you Zo, I always have. I just, screwed up before. I want to be with you. And Jay."
Zoje avoided his gaze "Renn, you had your chance. Im sorry." she said quietly.

Ovan picked up the part about love. It disapointed him, but he knew somewhere that Zoje would stay with him no matter what.

Renn continued on "And i know that somewhere you still love me because you chose today to try and rescue him.' h said motioning to Ovans sleeping form. "You know as well as I do that if we were still married today would be our anniversary. You were trying to prove a point. You wanted to show me that you were over me but I know your not."
Zoje looked up at him coldy. "I have no idea what you are talking about" she unconvingly.

Ovan was waking up slightly, though he was still turned away from them. He began to question if he was truely loved... or merely just a tool to get back at this man.

Renn opened his mouth to continue but Zoje threw a rock at him. "Just shut up and leave me alone. Go keep guard or something." she walked over and sat down beside Ovan. She stroked his cheek and smiled gently.
Renn watched miserably and walked over to the edge of the clearing to keep guard. That conversation had went a whole lot beter in his mind.

"Just say it," Ovan began solemly, "Do you still have feelings for him?" He asked, no rage, no ounce of hostility in his voice.

Zoje bit her lip "Yes." she whispered "But I love you more."
renn felt as if his heart was torn out when he heard her say that.

Ovan nodded to her softly, "Don act so afraid... I can understand. He needs kindness to heal, your only breaking him more by being so unkind to him."

Zoje looked away from him and stared at the fire with her head resting on her knees.

Ovan soon fell back asleep, trying to figure out how all this could be made better.

zoje stared at the fire for hours. It helped her think. She knew she should have tried to sleep but she needed to figure this out first. I hate it when your right." she muttered just loud enough for Renn to hear.
Renn smiled itno the darkness. "Yeah I know. Im just not right that often so it doesnt matter that much."

Ovan was sound asleep now, far away from this world and its troubles. He had no dreams of a perfect world, because he knew it was impossible.

Zoje stood up and walked over to Renn. "We both have to let go. You know its true." she said quietly.
Renn turned to her "And you and I both know its true that we can never let go. You once told me that I was the first person you had ever really loved. And because of that if you and I werent going to be together everytime you fell in love after me, that person would have something about them that reminds you of me."
Zoje smiled weakly "I really hate it when your right." She leaned forward and let their lips touch for a moment. "Good bye Renn" she said puling away and turning back to the fire.
Renn reached out and grabbed her hand. "No, plases Zoje. I dont want to let go of you." he pleaded.
Zoje closed her eyes and forced herself to remove ehr hand from his and walk over to Ovan. she layed down beside and let the tears roll silntly down her face.

Ovan felt her near to him and began to roll twords her. He put his arms around her and snuggled against her neck. It was something about her, her exact warmth that brought him to do this in his sleep.
