Conall smiled in agreement with Kea. He may have not known the kit at all but He couldn't just let her sit there and think herself a bad girl when she has done nothing wrong.
"That's right. You've done nothing wrong." He stood. "You just stay here and get warm. We'll be back with something to eat for you." He smiled then turned and walked off with Kea. He looked away as his tail flicked. "Tech... I have no idea... but if a mother does something like that she doesn't deserve to have kits..."

Cecilia watched the three foxes as they moved out of the shelter, leaving her alone with Aylin and Kyouya. She felt without Harvest to keep the water warm it might be better to pull her out. She laid on the ground, curling up and gently pulling Kyouya against her side. Worried the ground would be too cold, she scooted her back legs around so the kit rested on them rather than the ground.
Positive that she was sharing as much body heat as she possibly could, Cecilia set about grooming the kit. She wanted to both dry her off and stimulate the skin to get the blood moving. Her tail curled around her body, coming to rest just behind Kyouya in an attempt to keep any stray breezes off her damp fur.

Harvest joined the two, hearing Kea and Conall's remarks. She slipped closer to them, extending her flames so that it would keep them warm. She was familiar with parents that abandoned their own, it happened a lot these days. It seemed that now mothers just didn't want their kits anymore, or felt that they could do with less. Maybe this is why Kyouya was left.
"Some people are just sick in the head." She mused. "If she was brought up here it was probable the mother didn't think or want her to survive. The cold would kill a kit in a matter of hours."
Kyouya glanced upwards when Conall came close, ears pressing back and tiny mouth squeaking when he licked her forehead. She didn't respond, she wanted her mama. She wanted the warmth and love of her mama. She hadn't registered that she was left on her own yet. Her eyes turned to Aylin, not really understanding what she was saying. Then Kea spoke, squeaking once more when she was nuzzled. Maybe her mother had left her here to be babysat? Were these her babysitters? Mama was probably out seeing another friend! Yes, that was it!
Harvest left and so did the others, leaving he with Cecilia. She allowed herself to be picked up, closing her eyes as she was groomed and warmed, the cold in her bones slowly warming. She opened them to see Aylin, eyes closing hastily again.
All these strange foxes, all telling her she was good. Then where was mama? She was old enough to babysit herself! She just hoped she'd be back soon. Cold, the kit moved closer to Cecilia, using her own tail to wrap around herself.

Cecilia was encouraged by this. It was a shame the vixen was so afraid she'd accidently hurt the kits, she'd have made a decent mother or carer.

Kea looked over at Harvest, "What are we going to do....that little girl is going to be crushed when we tell her that her mother abandoned her here to die..." She looked down at the ground sadly, "I can't imagine the loneliness that comes with that..." She kept walking toward a known hunting ground she used once before, "My mother died before i could remember here...but i don't think she ever would have left me if she had lived."

Harvest turned her head to eye Kea, ears flicking. She didn't know what to do, she had brought the kit to them in hopes they would know. The kit was tiny, and looked lonely. She wouldn't survive being alone, some kits could but this one didn't look like it, babied by its mother to the point it wouldn't know how to fend for itself.
There was only one solution.
"Raise her here. She may have lost her home and mother, but she needs a new home. Take care of her and hope the mother comes back, if not perhaps speak to her when she is healthier and older?"
Kyouya turned to look at Cecilia, jerking her head away and letting out a sneeze. Slowly, the kit rubbed her face, glancing at the ground and nodding in response. She was warmer, but now she was lonely.
Mama, where was she?

"its probably safe enough now to move the kit inside" Aylin stated mostly still thinking to herself. The kit needed a new home. Where ever Kea took them would be a good place for her to grow up but how to get the kit there. She hated to use the most obvious excuse. Aylin would strike up a conversation, but then again talking wasnt exactly one of her strong points.

Cecilia leaned down and lightly touched her nose to the kit's forward, then pulled back and wrinkled her face into a funny expression. "Tell ya what, you can stay with us. If your momma lives in the area I'm sure she'll manage to find us." She looked up at Aylin. "There can't be too many livable places around here, right? I'm sure whoever can live in a place like this would find us eventually?"

Kea nodded her head, "That is a good plan....that little kit needs all the love and affection she can get right now..." Her tail twitched in annoyance. She still didn't understand how any mother could just abandoned their child. Her ears perked up as they neared a clearing, "I have hunted deer in this field many times...." she motioned with her head, "But they are very fast....and with so many of us....we might spook them before making the kill."

Conall sighed as he looked up at the Deva and Kea.
"No kidding... leaving your kid out here to die like that... Tech..." He looked away annoyed. "No way she would have survived..." He looked up at Harvest. "I'm glad you found her." He then felt a sudden warm sensation as Harvest extended her flames. "Thanks."
He smiled as he walked with them. "She has a point." He looked over at Kea. "You said you knew of a safe place some where in these mountains?" He stopped for a moment. "What if you took her there... then she would be safe." He started to follow them again. "Well they may be fast but if we can corner one we may be able to get one."

Kea nodded her head, "What I've done in the past is tried to sneak up on one of them that was cornered on one side by a cliff or something." She gestured with her head, "But since we have Harvest here....I don't think we'll have a hard time....She can always fly over the top and while we round it up, she can swoop down and kill the deer."

Kyouya looked upwards the at the female, blinking bring purple eyes. Slowly, she lowered her head, glumly nodding. "Kyouya won't be here long." She said, determined to have faith in her mother. Why wouldn't she? She blinked as her nose was touched, wriggling her muzzle between her paws.
Harvest nodded as Kea spoke, eyeing her slightly. She had the ability to order hows, and Harvest, who hated orders, listened to her without problem. Maybe Kea was a natural leader? If so, she could be the Elder of a tribe. As it was though, Harvest was more concerned for the kit than anything else.
((Aren't they vegetarians?))

Cecilia sighed. "I hope so little one, I really do."
((No, they just can't hunt within the valley, tribe lands. They can fish, but no red meat. If they want that they have to leave and hunt in the snow, eat, then come back. Anyone think a time skip would be good, to after catching the deer, bringing it back for food, and then deciding what to do next?))

He nodded as he hung onto every work Kea said.
"Sound like a plan to me..." He then frowned as he looked over the area the deer were in. "Yeah... having nothing to corner them might be a problem." he then chuckled. "Of course with Harvest here I don't think it will be too much trouble." He smiled. "Ok... so should we circle around? Or just kinda scatter them and let her take care of the rest?" He motioned to Harvest with his head.
((the foxes of this tribe are vegetarians with the exception of fish and hunting outside the tribal area.... if you can find anything. Knowing that most foxes are carnivorous the Modeity agreed that the foxes are aloud to eat meat but they must do so outside his domain.)) on first pg.

Time skip! Kea was walking back to the camp where the baby kit was recovering. Harvest was carrying the deer on her back. Kea smiled, proud that they had accomplished it on the first try. "Well done Harvest...that was remarkable." She grinned, "You too Connall
