(No accusations for now. (*Also, evil incarnate is being used as a curse here, like jfc))

This was turning into a disaster. Although he honestly couldn't say it wasn't entertaining. Everyone was beginning to lose their heads, now -- panic was spreading like wildfire. Sadly, Nuk was starting to lose his amusement, slowly but surely. With each passing minute the accusations and the moronic attempts at logic were gnawing at his patience, which was short regardless. It seemed they had found someone to accuse, now, the general consensus pointing towards that one with the law book and the bone. Which was rather suspicious. But that's what was so stupid about it -- would any killer REALLY be THAT obvious? And it was really the stupidity that was sucking all the fun out of this.

It was the accusation towards the cat demon (he wasn't exactly sure what type, but he positively screamed 'cat' from a mile away -- pity, he preferred dogs) that really brought the skinwalker back into the conversation. Until then, he had been sitting back and just watching, a hard look plastered across his face that seemed to get more and more scowl-like each time someone said something dumb. But it was Haku's accusation that was the last straw, Nuk's head rolling a little in disbelief to face him, skepticism written all over his face.

"You pus-sucking wisp... really? Lucifer in hell, the demon,
what was your name? Jack, that's right, whatever -- Jack's got a jacking cat in his lap," There was a pause, and Nuk made a rather confused face as he used the curse, considering in that moment that he probably should have used another. Oh well. "Did you actually look at him, or are you just flailing at someone else to get the blame off yourself? Because if you are, evil incarnate*, at least pick someone not, you know, obviously STUCK. You all really are idiots, aren't you?" He was really starting to believe it, too. He took a moment to swivel his gaze around at the lot of them, rolling his eyes, "You don't know how to preform a good witch hunt at ALL, do you?"

"And you..." Nuk's eyes settled back on Haku, snorting, "If you really did it, you're even stupider than they are. But if you didn't, I'd be making a pretty good argument right about now, because you look like you're about to be sacrificed."

Settling back in the chair, Nuk sniffed, hoping dearly that this turned into a full-out brawl. It didn't look like it though -- too much LOGIC, as if that'd do them any good. Still, they did have a point. It was time to start getting serious. And although he had defended him, Nuk's gold eyes settled on Jack B.

((Belladonna is accusing Haku))

After her call for evidence went unheeded, Belladonna didn't feel the need to step down from her seat, instead using it more as something to do while everyone accused everyone else and the rest defended herself. She was about to speak up when the lights went out for a second time. When she gasped, managing to stifle a scream, the lights flicked back on to reveal a student mangled by what appeared to be a series of deep and very painful looking cuts. Now things were serious. This was no longer a game, but a dangerous problem that had to be solved before someone else was hurt.

And someone was accusing HER? How could this day get any worse? (Actually, she'd rather not consider that....) While trying her best to keep her temper, Belladonna turned slightly in her elevated position and looked down upon the watery ghost.

"Just because I told him it was awful he was being misogynistic does not correlate with me wanting him hurt. I truly hope he's alright." She replied, doing her best to keep the ice (and anger) from her voice. "Besides the fact that I haven't moved from my seat," She paused to lean over towards the ghost, the edge of her hooped skirt brushed the shoulder of Vic, "Someone would have felt me move past them. My skirts are too big to go undetected."

She did turn with a sad grimace to the boy the others were accusing. He was holding a book and she also accepted that paper rarely held the blood of it victim. "We can only assume by your testimony that you have neither reflex or good night vision. We can't prove that without turning out the lights and risking another attack, which is something we aren't foolish enough to do. So just because you say it, you can't prove it." She said calmly to Haku, keeping her voice neutral.

Betty caught Puck's eye as best she could. "Exactly," she explained. "It has to be dark for them to attack. And it was only dark for, what, a second or two at a time? So either the culprit has REALLY good reflexes..." In which case they were all in trouble, because how could they catch something that fast? "Or they already know when the lights are going to flicker because they were the ones who messed with them in the first place. Either way's a possibility."

Betty didn't know anything about... Inugami? Was that what Haku was? No clue what kind of powers he might have. But the way that everyone else was gradually turning towards the quiet boy, well, it didn't look good.

((Cooper is feeling suspicious about Salali. Not quite ready to accuse her yet.))

Cooper watched the accusations and speculations fly, as all the bones had been successfully gathered up. He was left with nothing to do but fidget some more and throw nervous glances around the car.

And then the lights went out.

And when they came back up, there was a second victim. This time, with a lot of thin, angry looking cuts. Cooper nearly fled back into his hoodie, but hiding didn't seem like it was going to help him. If whoever was doing this could explode a skeleton, and cut a reaper to shreds all in the blink of a light, he or she could probably do something to him inside the hoodie. This made for one unhappy little Sandworm.

This looked like the work of someone seriously unhinged. Cooper glanced over to where Breic was comforting the babbling Salali. She sure sounded like she was unhinged...

(( Kasumi is eying Haku and Jack as a suspect, but not enough to accuse yet. ))

The young monster woman kept watch on several people, listening to the testimony of the accused and accuser going back and forth, she watched as Haku seemed to be in everyone's sights. Though that didn't mean he wasn't innocent. It still could have been anything, and for all they knew, Akihito couldn't be proven innocent unless another attack occurred. The host himself said only he can open and close the door and was monitoring everyone going in and out. Someone could have been tampering with the lights too.

And just because Jack had a cat in his lap didn't mean he couldn't be up and around for the attack with the cat being silent. Kasumi shook her head and sighed. She liked the idea of pairing up with someone as an alibi. Rising, she walked to where Belladonna stood and sat down next to her.

"If you don't mind, you would be my alibi. Is this alright?" she asked, looking up at the witch. "We can hook elbows or something, make sure the other doesn't move?"

"Or whoever's watchin' saw that 'un-" Puck flicked his fingers at Haku - "saw 'e had a book an'... bam!" He snapped his fingers. "Perfect 'un to pin it all on. Could be bein' played up for fools, all of us. 'Less he used that big ol' book to smack 'part that skelly..."

The poltergeist chuckled at Breic, though, a big grin on his face. "Might be that's what a 'tacker might say. Special deal - you sit w'me, then I won't 'tack ya... help me lie, keep you safe. Clever, clever."

((Perlie is starting to find Haku suspicious.))

Okay, so the blood thing hadn't been quite as smart as she'd thought it was (personally she'd thought it'd been one of her brighter moments, but hindsight and brighter minds were disproving that as they spoke, so so much for that) and the little inugami guy did seem to be getting more and more agitated. And really, if he could barely lift the book, then how did he get it on the train? The poltergeist had a sneaking suspicion that he might've been exaggerating a bit for the audience and that was never a good thing in a situation like this.

"Pairing up might be a good idea," she piped up from her seat, "Except, uh, aren't we already paired up? I mean, pretty much everyone is sitting with someone else, aren't we?" She gestured to her own area, where a good deal of girls had chosen to sit. It was pretty much sardines in a can as far as she could see. "And everyone's been pretty alert since the first attack, so I guess we'd all have to hold hands or something, to make really sure."

((Kashiyoru is not yet placing blame on anyone yet.))

Kashi kept his eyes locked on Jack as he defended himself. What he said made sence to Kashi. He hadn't heard any sounds from beside him, and he'd certainly of noticed his prey trying to move away from him. His oddly cheerful mood was somewhat dampened when Jack pointed out his lack of actual claws.

"It's too bad. I like a man who can leave his mark." He smirked. But his attention was ripped away when Nuk spoke up, and rather loudly at that.

"Must you make such a scene?" He slowly regained his grin "Why not go back to being a good puppy, and sit there quietly, eh Cranny?" Kashi quietly went back to petting one of his tails, while another twitched, waiting for a reason to do anything to remind others it was there.

'This idiot it making it difficult to shower this male with my full attention.' He slowly eyed Jack, before glancing around the cart. He really should attempt to discover the attacker at fault. But that would also draw his attention from his bigger prey. He faught the urge to growl in frustration. Instead he turned his gaze back onto Jack, all the while his grin never once faulted.

((Not accusing anyone now but is supspicuous of few though not naming names.))

Kentarou just sighed as he listened to everyone they were going insane. He didn't understand why anyone would think they would kill anyone with a book. Espically not a classic book like he has it would be extremly idiotic since blood would be on the pages. He only rested his chin on his hand and the elbow on his chair's arm. This was reading like a bad novel the way others think always made him wonder about their sanity.

Balumf accepted the book quietly and inspected it.
It was certainly heavy and it FELT like paper, but what if it was a FEAR ability? To make it devastating? Who knew what Inugami coudl REALLY do?! she hadn't heard anything about them.

Someone mentioned pairing up, and Balumf raised her head from her inspection.
"That is good plan. That way we know who moves and who doesn't."
She patted the seat next to her.
"Who wishes to pair with me?"
She eyed Vic hopefully- the pirate ghost seemed nice and... wet. And her skin felt so Dry...
Why didn't the train have an aquarium?! She would have felt safer in the water. On land she just felt so... different!

Puck had said something interesting, something that had actually been playing in the back of her mind for a while.
What if the culprit was trying to frame Haku? if Haku was the attacker, wouldn't it be beneficial to not harm his partner?
But maybe when attacking he would be temporarily insane and not reasonable. A mad dog.

She handed the book back to Haku.
"I see nothing, but that doesn't mean that there is nothing. We only have your word on your abilities. And how do we know that your quietness is only concealing a... Mad Dog?"

Breic smiled and shook his head a bit at Puck. "It might well be the sort of thing an attacker would say," he agreed. "Then again, an attacker might say anything. Like pointing out that it's something an attacker would say, just to make sure we're all good and confused. I mean..."

He gestured with one hand, peeled from behind his head. "After all, we're looking for someone who's an exploder, with claws like the pages of a book, who looks like him," he pointed at Haku, "or him," and then Kentaurou, "or her." He hooked a thumb over his shoulder at Salali.

"Or maybe it's her." A point toward Betty. "Or, wait, no, it's him." Now Jack before letting his hand fall. "Or maybe you." He smirked.

((Andrugora isn't sure anymore and is holding off))

Oh great. Another kid had been attacked. It unnerved Andrugora to see the long gashes on his body and she watched with a sense of sympathy as they moved him to the cabin used for the injured students.

She listened as the others sent more accusations and alibis flying. The idea from the female poltergeist seemed logical, although she really didn't want to hold the dude across from her's hand.

Looking over at Breic, she rubbed her temple exaggeratedly. "Dude, you're making my head hurt. And besides, what if you're wrong about all of them?" He very well could be. The again, he could be right about at least one.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 21, 2010 8:38 pm

Salali followed Breic's explanation with her eyes under knitted brows. A small, but serious frown was on her compressed lips as she watched...perhaps she had missed the sarcasm. Or perhaps not. "It is everyone? Or anyone? O one, o none, o no one, o you..." She mumbled, reciting the last bit from a poem she remembered about digging. She felt like they were digging now, too. Just digging, without a direction or destination. "We dig...we dig...where are we going? No progress...will we get there? We dig..."

She then immediately moved her gaze between Puck and Kashi and anyone else who was showing favorable teeth. "Not the time for smiles! It's dark...we have no matches, so how do you have light? How can you...?" Well, one slightly coherant sentence was better than nothing it seemed. She twisted her fingers in her hands, her jitters causing her to bounce a little in her seat again.

Puck blinked at Salali, his manic smile shifting to a rictus of confusion. "S'not dark?" he offered.
