"We're sensing some sarcasm," the creature said lightly. It was hard to read its face, but if its voice was any indication, it was having an absolutely lovely time. "Oh, well." It started squeezing, slowly increasing the pressure.

Reaper tried not to give too much of a reaction for the creature, but it was an extremely difficult task. His mouth parted and he let out a small gasp as his airways constricted. His eyes squeezed shut as muscle pressed against and pushed back everything in his throat. His hands gripped the arm holding him, claws sinking into what it could. And his legs started twitching as he tried to resist the urge to kick.

Then, suddenly, there was an impact of some kind, and the creature let out an ear-splitting yowl as it released him and fell to its knees with a thump. The younger Batman stood there, holding a large chunk of kryptonite in his hand; he'd apparently punched it in the face with the rock, because a gash had opened up on the thing's face, through which pale, human skin could be seen. "You should probably leave," Batman told Reaper coolly without taking his eyes off of the symbiote.
"Oh, little Not-Batman," the thing hissed, "If you wanted to play, you could have just said so. We aren't particular."
"Tough talk for someone who can't stand up," the kid observed flatly.

// Terry ftw! //
Reaper had collapsed to the ground as well after the thing dropped him. His hand immediately came to his throat and he began coughing. He heard someone say something, but his head was spinning a bit from the sudden release of pressure. Something about him leaving. He glanced up, and seen someone in a dark costume holding a chunk of Kryptonite. And the creature was injured. Well, that was all the information he needed. This guy had a much better chance of fighting the thing than he currently did. Reaper pushed himself back onto his feet and started backing away from the fight.

((A-yup! ^_^))
That seemed like it was probably for the best. Terry was, at that exact moment, dodging tentacles of black goop, which seemed to be the only movement the creature was capable of at that moment. Occasionally, he would get close enough to hit it with the chunk of glowing rock, eliciting another eerie shriek.

Reaper backed his way a good safe couple of yards away and watched. He wasn't sure if he should stay close by to the only source of kryptonite there was right now...or if he should try to high-tail it into another city and try to gain direction there. He needed to get back to New York, but he wanted to make sure this thing was going to be too injured to come after him again.

Batman, however, was apparently done brutally beating the crap out of the thing; its dark tendrils had gone limp, and the only sign that it was conscious at all was the slight curling and uncurling of its clawed fingers. Seizing it unceremoniously by the back of its 'costume', Terry took off into the air, carrying the thing with him.

Reaper stared for a beat longer, then let out a very long, strained exhale. That was...that was lucky. Very lucky. Damn he needed a drink. And not blood this time. With his hands still shaking, he turned and surveyed the buildings around him. What one would be the easiest to climb? Picking one, he reverted into his full Blood form...minus the Kryptonite...and began climbing across the buildings.

[Enter Nightshade, Robin (Tim Drake), and Red Cardinal from Xavier's Institute]
A shadow stretched from a pine tree near the winding road snaking through the thick woods near the coast. The surf could be heard in the distance, and a gentle breeze filtered through the trees.
Nightshade emerged with Robin and Red Cardinal, looking around, "Well, how close are we, or do we have a bit of walking to do?"

Tim looked off towards the winding road that disappeared into the forest.
"Well... approximately 2.4 miles that way."
He pointed over to the trees, making the motion that the path curved for quite some time. His Redbird was still in one of Gotham's alleyways..... Near Crystal's house, if he remembered correctly. Great, the perfect thing to leave laying around. He would have to go back for it later.

Kai didn't hesitate. Immediately after Nightshade walked through the portal she walked through it quickly so as not to be left behind. She nodded to Robins comment. They had a few miles but it really was nothing.
"We should get started..."
Kai began walking down the winding road through the trees. Her hands crossed. She held her right hand, hidden. It was still cut and burned from the demon. Her injuries that she had gotten fighting them have not healed nearly as fast as they should. Kai just wanted to get to the Cave as soon as possible to see Alfred. Hopefully, he would be there this time.

Robin walked silently next to her, looking up at the trees. The setting sun illuminated the branches, where a variety of birds and squirrels chirped and chattered. The forest life was still as active as it would be in a 'normal' world.

Nightshade closed the portal and followed Robin and Red Cardinal, "Well, let's do this. We got to get back as soon as possible and put this wetwork operation on ice."

Red Cardinal kept walking with Nightshade and Robin. They walked for about 15 minutes down the winding road up tot he south entrance of the bat cave. To her it felt like a really long time, especially because of the silence and anticipation to reach the cave. When they got up to the door she offered her left hand out to help.
"Here we can walk through the door. The system is probably still down so... this seems like the best option."
((Time skip felt necessary... Since they are in a rush and wouldn't waste too much time talking or moving slowly))

As the road dipped down, and one side was surrounded by a sharp incline of rock and scarce bush, Kai was the first to walk up to the entrance. Robin helped pull away some undergrowth that covered the steel door.
"Haven't used this one in forever."
They had no reason to do so. Tim was so glad they had these different routes. His green-gloved hands held onto the left side of the door and he pulled hard.
The steel screeched along the rock and against more steel, creating a horrible scraping sound that echoed into the dark cave. Tim winced as he continued on until there was enough room for them to squeeze in.
"I hope that didn't wake anyone up."
