Nell nodded obediantly as she trailed after her master. Her hands still clasped behind herself, petting her wings with her fingers.
"Not that I know of..." she said in a small voice. He'd surprised her was all. He was kind of intimidating though, the build, and the fact that he was a good four or five inches taller then her 5'7 height.

The countdown began and Mona was off with a blasting start, knowing the trick for some extra juice. Man did she love video games. But Terrance was having quite a bit of trouble. "Do you even know how to play? Use the "B" button to back up!" Pausing the game as player two, Romona glanced to him with a light twinkle in her eye. "How is it you can drive your truck, but not a digital car? It's not that different is it?"

Pretty frantic and intimidated by the game, Terrance said in an over-dramatized voice, "This is not a truck! It's a car!" he wasn't yelling, but you could hear a strain in his voice as he fussed over how to maneuver the damn thing. "I turn my hand less then a centimeter on this thing and it takes a B line" he didn't know how she was already half way across the length of the track, but she was. How'd she do that? he thought as he finally situated himself and Peach. "Okay, get ready to meet your maker!" he said as he pushed the two button, managing to go in a straight line until the turn where he barely made it without hitting the opposite rail. Sheew

Shaking his head at her response, he lead her through all the corridors-which could easily make a couple of miles combined-letting Nell know what room was what, and how they were used. Eventually, they made it to the outside for the rest of the tour, but not as detailed. "Outside is fairly basic, so we won't run through everything. This way is the rose maze, and I'll allow you to fly for ten minutes here before retiring for the night tonight, understood?"

"Potato potato!" Pronouncing the names differently, a truck was similar to driving a car in the terms of steering. But it was quite funny to see Terrance try and catch up with the items and attempt to look semi-decent. "Looks like I'm gonna have to teach you soon!"

Eyes widening at how large the mansion really was, she decided in her thoughts she'd just call it the castle. Because that's what it struck her as, and believe me, she'd been enslaved at a few castles in the desert before.
When they got outside and the fresh wind hit her hair and feathers she perked up immencly. Ten minutes was just enough to let her stretch out her wings. But how did he know she wanted to fly? Turning to Zane, Nell had a look of question and curiosity in her eyes as she looked up at him. "How did you know I wanted to fly?"

"Isn't it obvious? A forest bird never wants a cage, so I'm assuming you don't want to be stuck on the ground now that you can fly after however many years." Wasn't it obvious? Besides, her wings were moving now that they were in the wind, and she was getting giddy. Zane kept his focus ahead of Nell and himself, stopping short at the entrance to the maze. This was his only private sanctuary where no one bothered him, so Nell was getting a lot of slack on his part. But since she was a personal slave, she would have to go where he did, so as long as she didn't ruin the maze, the man was fine with her flying about.

Terrance bumped the blondes elbow as he kept racing on. He only barely swivled on the track before straightening. Hey! I'm getting better. Woohoo!" of course his thoughts remained silent as he tried to catch up.
"Give me a few days. I might just surpass you!"

Nell turned around and looked at Zane. "And you said this was your favourite own happy place?" Well, those weren't the exact words he said, but he did say it was his private section. "You may be really scary but you're really nice too, Zane" she said, guessing that she could probably take off now. It would be a little awkward in the tight dress, but she'd get used to it. Taking a step back from her master, Nell stretched her wings out and pushed down with full force like she had when first got out of the shelter where she was bought. Except then she had her collar on, now, free of collar, she soared into the sky, spinning as she ascended and went into a dip, flying out towards over the maze. After getting to the center of the maze she hovered in the air, looking out over it. Wow, was all she could thing. It was exquisitely large. She turned toward Zane. It was a wonder how he was so large standing next to her, but looked so small so far away. She could still see his crimson eyes and shining black hair perfectly.

He scowled at her revision of his words. It made him sound so... so queer! He was not a happy, peppy, childish, flamboyant, wealthy, business man who had a "happy place." He was a refined, sophisticated, composed man who happened to own a few businesses and be born into wealth-though he made more money-that had a private spot where he could forget about the next meeting and party. "You've ten minutes."
Zane's mutters went unheard as Nell took off, pausing to look down at everything. Obviously, she was not afraid of heights, and was caught up in the moment. Eight minutes were left of her flying time, and he'd make sure she obeyed to come down. Sighing, Zane wished she wouldn't be like a small child who pouted about wanting more time. That was the last thing he wanted-a child to take care of.

Flying high into the sky, Nell dove. Wings tucked in and arms at her sides she raced towards the grass. Her hair whipping her ankles and a smile on her face, truly happy for the first time in a long time. She figured she had a few more minutes left, but was completely satisfied already. Just before hitting earth she swooped into a loop, once upright again she put out her arms and wings horizontally and landed without a sound next to Zane. While flying she was very conscious that nothing happened to the dress and her hair was still as straight as ever. She was born to fly, nothing in the air was going to mess her up. Unless she was about to hit a plane, yeah, that could damage her a bit.
"Thank you" still in perfect breath, Nell knew her face was flushed from the rush of the wind. It was a true pity that others couldn't experience flight. It would probably lighten Zane up tremendously

Now all that was left for the night was to show her to her room, teach her how to use an alarm clock if needed, and start his mountain of paperwork. Inwardly shuddering at the thought of the stacks on his desk, the man kept up his charade, leading Sophia back silently. After the paperwork, he had to start arranging how the next party he was hosting would be, not to mention make sure that no one decided to pluck, force themselves on, or torture his slave, that was his job, and he needed her to be in top condition if she was going to work almost every day.
"Try to keep up will you? You have ten minutes every night to fly here until I say otherwise. Wednesdays obviously you can fly as much as you want. Tomorrow you will be in the foyer by seven o'clock sharp, so I suggest you get up an hour or two earlier depending on your memory of how to navigate through my estate. we will go over the day's plans there, and you will not stop working until ten o'clock that night. Understood?"
Zane turned back at her, his charming grin still up, though his voice was anything but pleasant. If anything, it was cold, demanding, and strict. Her comments before entering the maze remained lingering on his mind, making him more agitated than usual. And his daily work still needed to be completed. Talk about a good day! But once Nell was dumped off to her room, Zane could finally have a peaceful state of mind and a moment to relax, as he had all night to do his work. Unfortunately, he couldn't sleep in as late as he wished to, from the events going on.╔╝

the moment t o || f i g h t Nell frowned at Zanes sudden change in mood. One minute he's looking out a window amused at something and then the next he's all "Look at me! I'm Mister Bossy Pants and I run this joint."
"Well geez, what got your panties twins caught in a twist" she mumbled very low in her breath as she walked five feet behind him. "A building, two lefts, a right, and three doors. But I only have to get into your manor, take two lefts and then one right to get to the foyer." she had made a note in her mind on how to get out. From the kitchen he had gone past two doors on her left, took a left, past one more door and then took two rights. She'd only said lefts, right, doors so that he would know she wasn't directing herself from the kitchen and out. She could find her way. And if she was wrong, hopefully Zane would correct her.
Sophia was feeling very open and not guarded at the moment. Her carefree spirit had finally been let loose in that spare moment of joy. Ten minutes a day... oh, she couldn't wait till tomorrow night. Though, she was most excited for Wednesdays. It was too bad she didn't have any friends to fly with though. She doubted Zane would ever become a friend even though he did say the words 'gentleman' and 'friend' in the same sentence back a while ago. Oh well, maybe she could befriend an attendent of his fathers on her day off. What did attendants do during his parties? That was something to be seen. If she was there to just look pretty as a wall ornament and not speak unless spoken to, then what did they do? What boring parties he threw if many were just standing around.
He was an odd master.
