The bullet had sailed passed them and hit the Elite. Crap.... It probably would have been better if she were to jump in front of that shot. She cringed when she saw that Kunai didn't even grimace from the shot. By her pokemon's reaction, she knew that she was still thinking straight and when she gave the order, Cal nodded and watched as the other grunt sped off to the central gallery before her.
Hurry up Skye! That Growlithe could sure take a punch, but he was looking weak. Of all of Skye's moves, Thunderbolt was the most useful in the situation; Dig wouldn't be a good choice, the marble flooring didn't look like something he could easily burrow through. Sweet Kiss and Thunder Wave did no damage an would probably just prolong this battle. "Skye, Thunderbolt again." She balled up her fists, "Give it all you got!"
Skye was thrown back into a fiery mess. He rolled and managed to stand on all fours. His tail and ears twitched as he uttered a low growl. This battle was getting tiring, he began to pat as he watched his foe. He was still pretty close to the fire pokemon and when he heard Cal's command, he did not hesitate in sending another electric blast at the Growlithe.

The last of the woman's words lingered in Aila's mind, dredging up her memories of her failed bank robbery. Not once, but twice - and two times in a row no less! - had she met interference at the hands of Team Rocket. None of her research indicated that the organization was of such merit.
"So you are in league with that man," his name nearly slipped her mind, "Seth. I will warn you the same I did him: It is my policy to never leave empty-handed."
She tested the ice that bound her feet. It had melted somewhat, and if she truly desired to do so she felt she could likely break free. She predicted, however, that such a course of action would draw unnecessary violence unto herself. With Fleur's status yet unverified, she decided it would be best to continue playing the debilitated unfortunate.

"Good thing there is a whole museum full of things for you to take, then." Nyx chuckled as she looked quickly around the room. It didn't sound like there were any guards coming their way yet, and she and Mau could handle this girl easily if she broke free and tried to take the orb from them.
Beaker flexed her claws and swished her tail back and forth irritably. When would her trainer let her at this weakling? It was culling time, not chatting time.

It wasn't that the bulbusaur would have been a huge threat. But it was a grass type, and Aki was a water type. "Just following orders." He murmured. Mau kept his eyes on the girl. Nadja better hurry up. They were lucky so far that no guards came for them, but how long would their luck hold out?

Nadja smirked under her mask. Brazen little thing, and she'd met Seth somehow. Interesting. The lockpick clicked tumblers into place, one by one. This was delicate work, not suited for her Dusknoir's large hands. "You," the woman replied as the lock gave way, "are in no position to be naming terms, and I imagine he told you much the same thing."
Up by the stairs, the Growlithe found the last shock to his system too much to handle. It made one last fading snarl of defiance and slumped, jaws loosening and paws splaying across the bolt-blackened marble. It had done its best.
"Chop-" Flying types - his greatest nemesis! The Machop stumbled back, buffeted by the gust of wind that carried an extra type advantage, and dropped to one knee. "Maa.. chop!" Pushing itself to the limit, the fighting type lunged for Bobble. It wouldn't go down this easy. It wanted Revenge.
Usually criminals tried to run away from you, not past you. The guard lunged for Sam as she made a break for it, but missed, and grunted his ire. There was at least one left, though - he grabbed at Nikki with large hands, trying to get a wrist to twist behind her back in a hold. Willowy girl like that probably relied on her Pokemon to do all the work.

"If I cared for a single piece from this museum's collection, I would have had it in my possession some time past," she assured with a tilt of her head to emphasize the slight but confident smirk that came to her lips. "In all honesty, I do not particularly desire the Orb you seem so desperate to acquire. Pretty as it is, had that Vaporeon," she turned eyes filled with seething anger on the named, "appeared any later than it did, you would have found your beloved Blue Orb on the black market within a few days' time."
Aila's smile turned bitter at mention of Seth's reply to her policy. He had called her an idiot, in truth, but she was not about to admit that.
"I believe his words were that my time would be better spent within your organization." Not a total lie; he had said that, after all - at one point in their exchange.

The Drifloon bobbled up and down in the air as the Machop launched its attack at him... and went right through. "Floon?" Bobble murmured with a blink as the attack did absolutely nothing. Being a ghost type was certainly advantageous! This guard apparently didn't know how to train his Pokemon. The balloon blew another gust at the Machop.
However, that guard made a lunge and Nikki found herself grabbed. Teeth gritted in anger and you could practically see the veins bulging from her forehead as she turned and aimed a knee at the man's groin. She was not as weak as she appeared!

"Did he. Do you have a name?" Nadja swung the hinged glass cover back and the orb lay exposed and shimmering in the dim night lighting, deep cobalt blue.
Then the elite plucked it from the plinth, turned it over in her fingers to check for any sort of tag or tracker, and stowed it and the lockpicks back in her pouch.
"We're done here," she informed the others in the room, and flipped her Rocket Dex open to inform the other teams of the same, when she caught sight of Leonard in the doorway. "You. Where is the rest of your team?"
Lynette was having a very bad day. Her microwave had broken, leaving her to eat cold ravioli out of the can before rushing to her shift with a sinking suspicion that she hadn't set her television to tape Are You Smarter Than A Slowbro?, and she was once again getting that feeling that she was going nowhere with her life.
Then someone had the gall to break into her workplace, impersonate her, give her the fright of her life when she saw Marvin covered in 'blood,' and apparently her fellow guards were acting like minor villains in a fantasy novel and letting themselves be taken down one by one.
Had anyone called the real police?
Crouched in the shadow of a particularly fine example of ancient Kodo sculpture, the guard did so now.

There was almost a moment of disappointment as Sam managed to elude the guard as she fled to the second floor. Almost. A brawl might have been good to take the edge off. Nothing like adrenaline to see a goal through. However, the mission above all else.
She approached the door to the second floor slowly. With a nod, she sent Teru scouting through the door. No sense in surprising her allies- or alerting her enemies.
(( Edited because I'm a moron who can't keep numbers straight. ))

Skye panted and turned to his trainer, victorious. But now was no the time to boast, he could see it in her eyes as she gave him a quick nod and headed straight for the central gallery room. Skye jumped and hoisted himself up onto her shoulder as she ran for to towards her goal.
Cal stopped short at the entrance of the gallery room. Mau, Nyx and Nadja were there, but who was that other person? Probably the person who had given them away. By the looks of it, she was there to steal the Orb as well. She proceed with cation, Skye gripping tightly at her shoulder ready to spring into action, but with water on the the floor and the ice melting, that wasn't such a good idea.

Nyx knew better than to ask Nadja how it was coming, but it was an urge she had to fight. The longer they were there, the more nervous she became. Why weren't there any more guards? Why weren't the cops there? Their missions never went this well.
"Stop your yammering, girl," Nyx frowned, she was distracting from her worry time. "Even if thats true, we don't need some twit with only a bulbasaur who can't even beat him." Nyx jabbed a finger in Mau's direction. "Seriously. One vaporeon? And now you're trash talking three of the bad guys?" Her hands went to her hips. "You're pathetic."
An invisible Newton started floating closer to the trapped girl.

"Aila Christelle de Valois," her voice clear and proud. Her name, above all else, was her most cherished possession. "Might I ask your own?"
She watched as the hooded woman seized the Blue Orb. She frowned slightly, but she realized full well it was useless to pursue the item any further.
Aila cocked her head in mild amusement as the small (yet nonetheless taller than her ) woman spoke. "I do wonder if you understand the mechanics of civil conversation. If you were hoping to incite a debate of some kind, I encourage you to attempt more polite speech. Otherwise, I fear your words are of little interest to me. Now," she wrenched one ankle free of the ice, "I hope you will excuse me. Not unlike yourselves, I have no wish to be apprehended here this evening."

Kunai waited until all of the grunts that had been on her team had fled to where she had directed. She stood there, gripping onto the railing of the stairs behind a large feline-esque Pokemon, and when her team had all but disbanded temporarily, the smallest member of the team merely had to think out Move before the large Pokemon moved aside.
She still had a bullet in her right shoulder, yet that wasn't her concern at the moment. She stepped forward, trying her best to not seem weak. All the guard could see of this girl were her green eyes. She was so small, and had all of her features obscured, save for her eyes. Yet at the moment, there was nothing more frightening for the guard than what seemed to be his personal Grim Reaper. She stood in front of him, maybe leaving an arm's length in distance between them.
"Normally this isn't my style," she began, voice disturbingly emotionless, despite having been shot. "I am not a fan of guns." She held out her hand which was gripping onto a Kunai knife, which she skillfully flicked about for show as the guard was forced to watch, gun still pressed to his temple. "I'd rather slice you up myself, but that takes too much time." The knife was flicked back to her palm and soon enough was swiftly put back into her pouch.
"No, I won't give you that much time. It is only fair, after all. You gave me a bullet wound. I should get to give you one." There was a thoughtful pause. "Too bad I actually know how to aim." She lifted her right arm, which was quite sore from the bullet wound, but she ignored the pain for now. With only her pointer finger and thumb sticking out to make a crude gun of her own, she pointed it at the man who was now desperately trying his hardest to squirm out of the psychic hold the Mewtwo had over him. The only things that were able to shift were his facial features. Terror loomed over all of his features, desperation to get out of the situation however he could.
"Bang."
The echo of a second gunshot sounded through the museum as the Mewtwo obeyed orders once again. Only two sets of eyes got to see the murder. Kunai's and the Mewtwo's. Nobody could pin it on them, since the guard had technically shot it himself, leaving only his own fingerprints all over the weapon.
Before the two left to meet with the rest of the group, the Elite stood herself up by the wall, using her fingers to brace herself into standing up for the next thing.
Remove the bullet from the wound.
Without hesitation, the green Mewtwo's eyes glowed once again, and with all of the gentleness of a Tauros, the bullet was ripped from the girl's body.
Inside of her mouth, her teeth grit down hard, but she didn't even seem to wince, yelp, or do anything that would have been seen as a sign of weakness. Her left hand lifted up and she opened it up, snatching up the offending bullet in the palm of her gloved hand.
When the pair exited that particular hallway, the Mewtwo had its trainer in its arms. Neither one said a word about the corpse they had left behind.

Huh, so the whole plan was messed up because of some lady that fancied herself as a burglar. Wasn't that lucky? Leonard leered at Aila while she tried to free herself. Like that was going to happen with all the Rockets around her.
"My team?" He turned to Nadja. "Well there's Cal." He jerked his head towards where the other grunt was, who just appeared seconds ago. "And Kunai... got hurt. She told us to come here though."
Leonard heard another gunshot rang out. It sounded like it came from where he left her... Was it the guard finishing her off, or the other way around?

"Chop?" The Machop looked equally as surprised at its completely ineffective attack. It was supposed to be invincible! Ghost types weren't a problem! ..when it used Foresight first. The Pokemon's mouth made a little 'o' of realization just as a second Gust sent it head over feet to collide with the first step to the third floor.
The guard, however, was not quite as lucky. In the darkness, a knee caught him in a rather personal place. "Hni-!" he squeaked, voice going up several octaves, and dropped into the knock-kneed crouch of incapacitated males everywhere. It would be a few minutes before he could walk.
"Hey," Hayes hissed as he caught up to Nikki, his work in the surveillance room done. It was pretty obvious what his partner had done to the guard, and the blonde knew for a fact her knees hurt.
The collective male sympathy didn't stop him from delivering an elbow to the head that sent the other man sprawling, though.
Hayes gave Nikki a slight grin and headed for the second floor.
The exhibit rooms surrounding the central gallery were dimly lit and deserted, presenting a clear path toward the orb. If Sam had taken the stairs on the side of the museum Kunai's team had been covering, however, it would be witness to a less peaceful scene indeed - a guard levitating in the air, a gun pointed to his own head, and behind him, Kunai and her Mewtwo.
And then a gunshot.
Might she ask her name? "You just did," Nadja pointed out, before another gunshot came from the eastern stairwell. Kunai. Who knew what was going on there. Under her mask, the elite frowned slightly, and looked over the assembled Rockets - nearly all here.
Leonard's report got a brief "Mm" of acknowledgment. "Then move out. We're leaving." Nadja keyed in a brief message to all on her Rocket Dex, including the ground team: Rendezvous. All teams to roof. And a second, to her fellow elite: Status. Require aid?
Signaling Mau and Nyx, the redhead moved for the stairwell. They would exit the way they came.
