((Oh man, I completely forgot to post here...))
’I shall fight to honor the name of Kaiten, the name of my father…

Erkamina felt like watching this battle was kind of getting tiresome so she wandered around, looking for a snack booth seeing as she was now hungry. Not that she had much in the way of spare money. Maybe if she got in that betting too? No, it wasn't worth it, she figured. She was the type that believed in the power of hard work, that if it was worth achieving that she would continue to work hard until she got it. Even if that meant trying over again in this exam- it was to be expected at this point. After all, she was just a beginning Genin. She didn't know half of the things everyone else seemed to know. On top of that, she felt so out of place here among the competitors. She wasn't on par with them yet and she knew it. But the key word was yet. She was willing to try until she got there, until she became stronger than everyone else if need be. She just had to prove herself.

… Soon I will show the world the worth of that name.’

Hisaki flipped the coin over in his hand a few times, and grinned. "This things gotta be worth a fortune!" he mumbled to himself. Hisaki took a deep breath, and looked a little closer at the coin, self-appraising it. In what little antique appraisal skills he had, he could tell that this coin was for real, and that it was incredibly old.

The girl who'd given him the coin signaled that she was going to leave. It was very understandable: The battle outside seemed to have come to a standstill, and good converstation had seemingly ceased to exist in the room. Hisaki stood up, and gave the girl a thumbs up, "Alright, but get your appetite ready for when this place gets a new order of food, got it?"

Hisaki got up, and flipped the precious coin in his hand again, staring at the door intently. "I need..." Hisaki began. He allowed a sizable pause before jutting his hand forward, pointing at the door in an overdramatic fashion, "AN APPRAISER!"

Hisaki dashed for the door, and grabbed the handle. He yanked hard on the door, nearly slamming it on the back wall. With one hand on the threshold, Hisaki winked, and pointed at no one in particular, "Anyone wanna come with?"

Yuki was startled by Hisaki's sudden outburst about an appraiser, but quickly shook it off. He knew how Hisaki was, so this behavior was pretty normal. "I'll go with you." The Yamanaka said nonchalantly as he closed in on his teammate, "Lets hurry, before anyone get suspicious." He whispered to his partner as he exited the room. Yuki knew Hisaki was being serious about finding an appraiser, but he figured this would be a great time to relay information about the other genin. It would be particularly useful for bets being made, but also great just in case one of them had to fight the other, a nagging feeling of pessimism which Yuki felt made him think of the latter of the the two.

"Well Hisaki," He started as soon as they were out of earshot, "What have you gathered so far? I don't have much information besides the obvious. Mind Tracing is a rather risky move when it comes to being discreet." Yuki continued to talk quietly, after all, Hisaki almost had a raging party over one misheard conversation, he didn't want to have history repeat itself.

The sound of grinding teeth reached the Uchiha's ears, making him look down at Kaala. The phoenix-boy was at the brink of launching himself at the red-head kunoichi, but his loyalty to Notwen made it impossible for him to act against his wishes.
"Master, I do not like that girl..." muttered Kaala through clenched teeth. "Did you hear what she just called me?!" the Uchiha put a reassuring hand on his companion's shoulder, which was very hot.
"I know, Kaala. Sometimes we just have to take life as it comes. There are going to be many people in the years to come that we are not going to be on good terms with."
Notwen watched as Oasis walked towards Hisaki and gave him a coin. Judging by the Hyuuga's reaction, it seemed that the coin was worth a lot. The boy began to shout about finding an appraiser, and left the booth, calling behind his back for anyone interested to follow him.
"Hmmm... I guess there's nothing wrong with getting a little fresh air. Let's go Kaala, you'd benefit from a walk too. Hisaki, we're coming!"

Once he caught up to the leaf duo, Notwen bowed to them.
"I apologize for what happened up there. It wouldn't feel right if i just let someone else cover the damages."

((cause Oasis has super eyes she is going to find Sora out of his hiding and figure out he is a puppet boy.))
(int 305+300 x2)1210+105 1315 vs 300 =99%)

Oasis hadn't fully left the room and was standing outside the door as she tried to decide what she wanted to do now. She was really feeling riled and that annoying boy at Notwens side just made her more angry. If he wanted to start something then he needed to just man up and do it. She clenched her hands into fists as her amber eyes turned sky blue and lit up slightly. Maybe it was because her ally and friend was being beat up by traps and was being attacked by some bug using freak who's mouth didn't move when he spoke. Mouth didn't move!? She cocked her head to the side and then stamped her way to the side where she could view the fight better. Her eyes alight she stared into the battle and saw through the trees as if they were nothing. It took only seconds, she could see through the trees and she could see both Sora and Hatsuma, and was able to see where Sora was supposed to be, and where he really was. She took note of the human on the back of where he was actually meant to be standing. "He's hiding in that box..." she states slowly as she looked at the battle field, the opponent was hiding in a machine of some sort. That was not cool at all, a sneaky puppet user that was some how able to get his bugs out of a solid box and through a puppet making very little sense. She found herself questions how the box was held on or was it a part of the puppet, if it wasn't a part of the puppet it would only make sense if Hatsuma could knock the box off then the boy wouldn't be in contact with his toy anymore and he would not be able to fight using it. She grunted and looked back to the room seeing Notwen following Hisaki. She wondered if he would come back with a traitorous memento again this time like with Sai. She popped her neck from one side to the other, if that Kaala person so much as pushed one of her buttons again she would teach him what it was like to have your face smashed in.

Hisaki nodded as Yuki came with him, and Notwen not far behind. It was immediately obvious that Yuki has assumed that no one else was coming. Yuki began to talk strategy in a low voice, not yet noticing the elf running coming in from behind. Hisaki grinned, "Wow Yuki, I never thought you were such a team player, giving away secrets to people we could potentially consider an enemy, hehe."

Hisaki spun around and put his hands behind his head as the Suna-nin caught up, "Ok, how do you want to help then? If this goes for a good price, I think I'll be all set on the price of the damage."

Yuki's cold look became suddenly frustrated as Hisaki basically brushed him off as Notwen followed the two. The Yamanaka shot his friend the same look he usually does when the Hyuuga mocks his mother. "Whatever." He muttered, returning to his usual frosty appearance as the elf asked how he could help.

"Well, we first need to inquire about the value of this coin at an appraiser, whatever the remainder is we can help with via gambling." Yuki stated as he walked with the group. Hisaki and I cannot discuss strategies and tactics with Notwen around. We could trust him with being in our temporary group for the second exam, but mainly because he had to depend on us for success. He is still from outside our country, we cannot trust him entirely. He seems friendly enough, but as I always say, its easier to backstab someone when they can trust you to watch their back...

The blond shook his head. "Hey Hisaki, after you resolve this conflict with your debt, do you mind doing some training with me? I'm still not sure if I am strong enough to continue past this point..." He half mumbled, half stated. It was true that he was anxious about the upcoming battles, for he was unsure of his own abilities against the others. After inferring how much power each genin in the room had, he was scared.

Notwen pondered Hisaki's question for a while, rubbing his chin with his forefinger. Then an idea came to mind, which made him turn to Kaala.
"Kaala, did you see any buildings that had a sign on them earlier today? The signs could have anything from magnifying glasses to coins, or anything that looks valuable." The phoenix-boy brought up everything he had seen from his bird's-eye view of the hidden sound village. Not far from the Colosseum, there was a shop with a billboard that had bills with jewelry and other precious stones. Turning to Yuki, Kaala responded.
"There is an establishment not far from here that deals with monetary exchange for valuables. I can take you there if you wish."
"Go ahead Kaala. We're right behind you."
"With pleasure! Please keep up, the way there is full of dead-end side streets." With a bow to Yuki and Hisaki, the phoenix-boy began dashing ahead. Notwen picked his up pace, turning around and jogging backwards.
"Come on guys, step it up." Notwen's ears perked up at the sound of training. "Um, i would like to train with you guys as well, if that's okay. I just learned some dangerous techniques that i would like to get a hold of. It's one of the reasons i asked you guys to stand back earlier." said the long-haired blonde with a serious face, making sure to keep an eye on Kaala to see where he was going.

Oasis watched as the robot riding punk attacked Hatsuma, and then her friend surrendered, a good move for sure seeing as she wouldn't be able to hurt him even if she wanted to because he was hiding in a magical box which some how could not be removed as if it were made of some unbreakable material. She sighed quietly, both of her team-mates had lost their matches how disappointing. It then occurred to her, that she HAD to do better on her match. She needed to win for her team, and for the hidden Sand. She looked as Notwen followed the other two Hisaki, and the quite one who's name she hadn't caught. He was talking again about his techniques in such a flamboyant manner. Were they really so dangerous and unpredictable that he had no control over them, if that was the case he was a dangerous shinobi, not for his power but for his lack of control. She closed her eyes for a moment the blue glow lifting from her eyes. She took a few steps and made up her mind as to what she was going to be doing. Oasis walked after the group, maybe when they trained she could settle the score with Notwen's little boot-licker.

Ka'rinth watched the fight impasively and somewhat pensively as he considered what he would need to do next. His eyes calmly flickered over the crowd as it seemed to be ending and he wondered how much longer he would have to wait before it was his turn. He had already played over a number of possible ways to deal with the fight and had finally settled for a simple method of first determining the level of the opponent and then either forfeiting if the opponent was strong enough to beat him with ease or force him into a serious fight or fighting a war of attrition with the minimal effort required to hide his actual abilities. Thus far he knew he had shown what his tools were useful for but not the extents of his puppets or personal techniques. It was important to keep such things hidden as well though.

Hisaki stopped, hearing Yuki's name being called by the announcer in the stadium. Hisaki's smile flatlined, he actually did want to spar a bit, but it looked like they'd have to wait until later. Hisaki shrugged, "Sorry bud, but you're going to have to test out your skills in the real deal. No training for Yuki!" Hisaki finished it with a goofy smile, then patted the anxious blond on the back, "Don't worry. She's way out of your league, but I have a feeling you'll stand your ground for a bit. I bet you'll pull through with that intellect of yours." Hisaki pulled his arm away from Yuki, then said, "Meanwhile, me and Notwen are gonna hit the antique shop, then train if there's still time."

Hisaki thought for a moment, then said, "And I promise, I'll totally train with you after the exams. We'll get you up to par for sure."

The man chuckled as he collected his money and handed out the successful bids their money. So it seemed that Lightning was a more successful and powerful country compared to Wind, as they carried a two to zero win. But now, their genin were to fight in the next round. A curious smile to that thought played on the man's face as he turned to the people in the room, other butlers moving to get to the other bidders that were not, "Yua Mizu vs Yuki Yamanaka, any bets on the winner?"
PostPosted: Sat Aug 21, 2010 5:02 pm

The Yamanaka ran off immediately, and Hisaki shrugged, "Ok, back to the mission at hand. We have to appraise this thing..." Hisaki looked back and forth on the street, "Where is that place again." Hisaki noticed the direction that Kaala ran, and meandered after. Hisaki jogged off, and found where Notwen's friend ended up.

Before him was an ancient looking antique shop whose architecture didn't match any other nearby buildings. Unlike the feudal-looking, wood-post-and-straw-topped-buildings on the market street, this curio shop was built of thick oak wood, and had a very western flair to it. At first, Hisaki thought it had rice paper windows, but after a closer inspection, he saw that the shop had glass windows covered with dust and spiderwebs layered so thick that they were opaque. Hisaki grabbed hold of the thick brass door handle - another western influence - and turned hard. However, the door didn't budge in the slightest. Hisaki frowned and turned hard again, but the knob didn't click or turn. Hisaki let go, and put his hand to the brass knocker on the door. He pulled it back, and knocked a few times. The loud bangs echoed slightly, but after they were gone, there was no sound on the other side of the door.

Hisaki pursed his lips and tapped his foot, then gave it a few more knocks. Suddenly, without warning, the door flew inward. Hisaki, who'd been holding the knocker tightly in his fingers, fell inward onto the dusty floor of the antique shop. Hisaki pushed himself up, and looked at the man who'd opened the door.

Apparently, the shop owner was as old as the collectibles in his shop. This guy was ancient! His skin was so old and grey it looked like it was made of wet paper, and his hair was so white, one might mistake it for a dead-mans halo. He wore

The old man sighed, and said, "What are you doing here... Young man?" Hisaki nodded, and said, "I'm here to sell you a precious antique. A coin of indefinite value, but it's said to be incredibly rare and... stuff." The old man nodded, and with a hand gesture, invited Hisaki an company into the shop.

Oasis paused in her following Notwen and looked to the man taking bets. "Hey I wanna bet on Yua. She's strong, I wanna put 1000 ryo on Yua." she states with a grin. She pulled out the Ryo and handed it to the man before continuing on. Shortly after she saw Yua give her a thumbs up. Oasis reciprocated with two thumbs up. "DO you best!" she shouts cheerfully. She then continued on after Notwen, and Hisaki. She came up as they found a strange building and she stayed outside to spy on them.

((betting 1000 on Yua yes))
