"You're as frank as Bahamut said..." The eyes moved across the floor towards the throne. Then the clay tiles began to twist and churn, pulling the soil up into a gigantic mound of earth bigger than Rook's body that slowly took the form of a dragon's head. The eyes appeared as it opened up it's slits. "I am Jormungand, titan of the earth dragons and dragonlord of this realm."

"Hmmm...." Jormungand glanced up in a hyponic state for a time while the earth rumbled below. Then he put his eyes back on Rook. "I have checked the land for any relation, and it seems I have found a distant match to the name. Gruntar Vinal seemingly hailed from a foreign tribe to Draconia, however, the blood of that tribe ran deep and far. One of the houses in Valitora's domain apparently holds a distant blood relation to your father's ancestry. Perhaps you can learn more from them."

But the further Rook went, the more empty the land seemed. Just where was Valitora's kingdom? Suddenly, he seemed to notice that it was rather dark around these parts. But it wasn't even close to evening....
That's when he realized, this wasn't because of a lack of light, but an increase of shadow. Looking up, he saw what he had been looking for. Up in the sky, was a city among the clouds.
(Impressive, no?)

(you must not whatch much tv cause a city in the clouds has been done before but it's not so bad) rook landed in the city not transforming mainly cause he had a feeling he wouldnt be here long,he walked fully upright and kept heading straight hopefully the castle or palace would be in the center.

(Duh, I know it's been done before. Flying cities always symbolize advanced knowledge.) Robotic dragons seemed to stand guard at the gate. As Rook approached, they eyed him with infrared optics, then pushed open the gates as if they knew why he was here. The immense and tall clockwork tower that was Valitora's castle loomed before Rook.

But no sooner had he stepped inside, he came to a single room with no other opening. A dead end? But as he stepped forward, the marble tile underneath him glowed. He felt himself being hurled around as the room vanished in a blur. When the spinning finally stopped he saw he was in a different room with many other glowing panels.
Magic warp tiles. It must have been the way the dragons under Valitora's vast knowledge traveled around the tower.

(Come on, I'm not that cruel.) Rook didn't know the layout of the tower, so it was trial and error. The first one got him stuck in some magic research facility, the dragons there didn't seem to pay him any mind as they were busy with experiments. The next one got him into a bathroom. Luckily it was the mens. He wasn't sure what the next room was. All he did know was that there were a lot of gears turning in that room. After that, he almost fell out of the sky when he chanced upon the emergency evac. Finally, he found himself in a glass dome where he could see the clouds around him apart from the platforms used for magic cannons and wards.
"Welcome Rook," echoed a melodic voice that seemed to drift around him. "I have been expecting you."
