"Yer as spunky as Shakespeare, Willie." Raphael remarked, walking to the abbey's open doors. He chuckled to himself when he thought of his friend joining up with them. Not in a million years... "Ah don't know about that. We'll see what happens when we get thare." This could prove disasterous. "Ah know how tae handle this." Raphael muttered quietly in the high ceilinged entrance hall.

William wondered what Raphael was saying as he muttered quietly to himself throughout the day, but it was not a pressing matter. He inspected the wreckage of Brazen. The reactor casing was still intact, though the water lines had all been ruptured by the unchecked steam pressure. William had had no time to shut it down. Pulling out a fistful of stolen bank notes, he bribed a nearby merchant for use of his cart, and began the arduous task of loading each and every broken piece of his Walker. His day brightened a bit at this, as he loved to tear things apart, especially if he was to put them back together at some point.

Aishe groaned and stood up, walking out of her thin tent to find Zeke waiting for her just outside the encampment. She walked between the thick trees towards him, enjoying the earthy smells of the forest, and the feeling of the cool, soft ground as she walked over it. Zeke was leaning against a tree, whittling a figuring out of a small block of wood. He nodded and tipped his hat politely.
"Feelin' a little better this mornin'?" he asked. She rotated her once-broken arm easily and painlessly, to show him that she was healed.
"Yes, Mr. Underwood. Unfortunately, my failure to stop William has left my group in doubt on the subject of my continued use of the Eye. I'm afraid I'm to remain here until they come to a decision. They're also not happy about my involving you, an outsider, in this matter." Zeke mumbled that he understood, and sauntered off on his own, in hopes of finding William's trail still hot.

Rapahel watched William go at his ardous task for a bit longer before growing bored. About half an hour had probably passed, going by the time on the towering clock tower, and he wasn't quite done even then. He yawned loudly in the warm and peaceful afternoon, pacing idly in a wide circle around William's worksite. "Ach, yer takin' long." He stopped his rounds after a while, remarking, then went over to silent Fatum. "If ye don't mind, Ah think Ah'm goin' tae go ahead and notify my friend of yer coming." Taking no time at all, he clambered hand over hand up the side of Fatum, standing calmly on the side instead of in the seat to enjoy the cool breeze high up. "Won't take too long tae get thare an' back. Maybe ye'll be done then?" He chuckled lightheartedly and sat down in the comfortable seat, moving Fatum off through the slightly crowding up streets to his friend's place. "Just wait for me, or try an' find me if ye get done and ready!" He called back down.

Before going to be recruited by Raphael and his partner Leon decided to test out his newly acquired Gundam. He went to the forest on the outskirts of the town and started testing the Gundam's swords and as it turns out they were in top shape. He then tested the ball and chain fists by shooting them at various trees and tested the swinging power and radius of them. He finally tested the experimental repeating cannon that was located in the chest of the Gundam and it proved to do well and made Leon fascinated by the craftsmanship of the feature. Deciding that it was battle ready Leon stashed the Gundam in a nearby cave and then started making his way back to the town on foot.

Zeke grumbled quietly to himself when he found nothing left of William and Raphael. There were only a set of deep tracks, suggesting a heavily loaded cart. The trip to and from the gypsy camp had taken longer than he'd anticipated. He was eager to make up for lost time, so he got back on the road, following the tracks. Since Aishe had lost her power for the time being, Zeke had nothing but his wits to rely on, in tracking lil' Willie. He smiled slyly when he found a previously overlooked clue, upon a second sweep of the area. It was a torn fragment of a bank note, originating from a certain city: Canterbury. Zeke didn't know where William was going, but he knew where he'd been. He headed to Canterbury, hoping to find a new lead.

The building Raphael had reached was on the far side on the town. It didn't take too long for him to get to it with Fatum. That and he knew the backways to get there. It was an inconspicous place, out of the way really. He went around to the back, sliding down the side of his Walker to the ground and strolling to the door next to the closed hangar like ones. He knocked twice and waited patiently until a slit opened up and two green eyes started at him. "Cripes, where's yer brother at?" "He went off to do some things. What're you doing here? And what's with the--" Raphael made a shushing noise, cutting the girl off. "Ye know the story already. Lissen, Ah need some favors from ye." Silence as the girl's eyes narrowed. "What kind?" Raphael sighed in relief, scratching the back of his head nervously. "Um, well, Ah kinda need the hangar for a small bit. Ah've got someone who needs it..." A frustrated sigh and the door opened. The girl was average height with red hair in a ponytail, glaring at him. "This isn't a drop-in auto store! But...I'll make an exception. This time." She smiled. "And the other?" Raphael dug into his shirt and pulled out the papers, giving them to her. "Ah need ye tae send this in for me." The gril frowned and skimmed through them, her eyes widening slightly. "Why not just turn them in here?" He shook his head. "This branch wasn't notified about this. An' ye can get this tae the main ones who are." The girl stared at them for a bit longer before stuffing them into a wide apron pocket. "Agh, fine. They'll get it soon. Why the secrecy?" Raphael winked at her mischieviously, changing the subject when he saw William and his cart. "Ah, looks like he managed tae find me alright." The girl rolled her eyes and went back into the building, calling back. "I'll open the doors for him then. But I'll close 'em soon as he gets in." Raphael nodded to himself and leaned against the wall. "Oh yeah, one more thing." "What?" "That thing on yer shoulder, can ye take it off?" "What? Why?" "Ah..." He thought before repling. "Mah friend's a little suspicious..."

Deciding that Xander was taking too long, William lashed together a few ill-gotten horses, and began driving them down the road towards the next town. He had everything secure and hidden...the cart appeared to only carry straw. William even adopted the persona of a lowly peasant farmer, complete with perfectly faked English vernacular accent. Halfway between the two towns, he met Rahael, on his way back into Essex.
"Hullo, there! And where might you be headin', like?" he called in jesting to the spectacled man. "Well, what's the verdict?"

Raphael eyed William, the farmer, bemusedly, as well as curiously. He had potential alright. The guise would have fooled most people. "A fine day to you too, kind sir!" He hailed him with a wave and a smile, playing along and picking up an English nobleman's accent. "Just into town for some conferring with my companions. And you yourself look busy today. Bringing hay for your horses?" He glanced at the nervous beasts for a second. "Heading to your missus?" Then he lost his supposed noble's accent for his normal Scottish one. "Or perhaps yer tryin' yer hand at foolin' me, aye?"

William removed the straw hat that obscured his face and gave a sly smile.
"No, I assumed you'd know who I was. Just practicing my diction, my friend. Well, what do your friends say?"

Leon arrived into town donning his rebel like disguise he even went to the lengths of ruffing up his hair and chewing on a self wrapped thin cigar. He lost the trail of them two when he reported to Lt. Hartwell so he went to where the gray haired partner of Raphael's Gundam was laying in pieces. When Leon got there the Gundam was gone but he saw some deep cart tracks in the road judging that the cart had the Gundam in it and he was taking it to a repair shop. He finally arrived at the shop where the cart tracks ended so he decided to steak out the place and wait for Raphael and his partner to either go out to some place or come back to the shop.

Raphael let out a good natured laugh and patted William hard on the shoulder. "There's more tae it then diction! But yer on the right path." He lead William to the building, gesturing that he should lead his cart through the half opened doors and the dimness inside. "Mah friend's actually out right now. But his sis is nice enough tae let us in for a bit." "I heard that! Get in already so I can close it up!" Raphael laughed again, wiping a tear away from his mirth.

William smiled again, enjoying the feeling that came with a smile...it was not something he was accustomed to.
"My...don't you sound pretty? I hope you have a face to match that voice! What might your name be?" William called amiably into the darkness.

Aishe felt beyond relieved to have re-obtained her power. Against the council of her elders, she used them to contact Zeke Underwood.
"Jeez! Ya gotta quit that! I keep thinkin' a bee's stingin' me or som'n," he remarked somewhat angrily.
"Oh, be quiet. I've just called to tell you that I'm back in action. I wanted to see how your search was going," Aishe replied. In truth, she was happy to hear his voice. She had grown attached to the American gunslinger, in a way.
"We're alright for now. I've picked up a paper trail. This ain't exactly mah fav'ritt method o' trackin' somebody...but it'll do. Say, why is this boy so important, anyhow? He shore don't look like no leader."

Leon's face lit up as he saw Raphael and his partner come back to the shop and closed it up for the night. 'Now I have to think of a way to introduce myself to them and convince them to recruit me.' Leon thought as he looked out the window of the hotel room that he rented for the night. He then decided to call it a night by getting in bed and falling asleep.

((Space-time continuum...Duh-nuh-nuuuuh. Lol. XD Side note, should I make the NPC girl a charrie of mine or not? She might not be very useful in the long run...))

"Pssh, wouldn't you like to know?" The girl replied slightly flustered, toying with the door control. Raphael went over to pat one of the tired looking horses, but it shyed away from him with nostrils flaring. He sighed. Most animals were wary of his scent to begin with. "How about I tell you when I see you? Hey...X! You getting in here with your friend or not?" Raphael cast an upward glance at Fatum standing like a silent statue. After a moment, he decided to leave it outside. It was safe alone, plus he'd switched and rigged the controls around to his preferences. "Ye heard the lady. Flirtin' later."

((You can if you want to. Send it on in, if she's to be a regular. Wait...what about the space-time continuum? lol))
"As you wish, Master." William bowed mockingly. Perhaps I shouldn't tell him that I killed my last master. He opened his watch and glanced at it again, despite the fact that he couldn't see a thing in the dark. He shuffled about clumsily, and bumped right into Xander. His nose collided hard with Raphael's shoulder.
"Aw, shite!" he exclaimed as he felt hot blood running around his lips and down his chin.

"Why? Because, like me, he has possession of a very special power, which he unwittingly stole. If he ever even realizes that he has this power, then we're finished." Yes, William Baxter Cruxely II was in possession of the Evil Eye, just like Aishe. But he had no idea. In Aishe and William's world, there once existed a primal energy source, forged by the Earth herself to guard against dangers that threatened the planet itself. The Romani people, some of them being descended from the keepers of this power, split it into five parts; four of them represented the classical elements, fire, water, earth, and air. Aishe carried the power of Earth, which was passed on through a special ritual and only active when the user's bare skin was in contact with the ground. The fifth and most powerful element, aether, was carried by none other than William. It could only be passed by spilt blood, and William had taken it by mistake when he murdered its previous keeper, Mr. Harland the watchmaker. Aishe felt something foreign, something uneasy from Raphael...but she didn't yet know if he, too, possessed a portion of the Evil Eye. Time would tell.
