"....Sachi, I'm going further in. Please keep Mr. Merchant Boy at bay." Yana said bluntly, carrying a small stack of firewood and a torch into the depths while Sachi stood watch.
The threads of the waistband lingered close to the fresh fire, enough to enhance the smell of heat and spices without singeing the material. Yana fell out of her physical state, and in the Spirit Realm, found Avatar Roku sitting in front of her.
"It's good to see you Yana."
"And you Avatar Roku."
"You have come to ask for my help in finding the lost Avatar."
"Father said you aided him many times when he was younger. The Avatar now will have my father by him. It's the law of the Avatar spirits isn't it? To stand by the latest Avatar?"
"That is true."
"But...why? How did the flow of Avatars become messed up?"
"A long time ago, your father was attacked in his Avatar state by the former princess of the Fire Nation Azula. It damaged his Avatar Spirit, and when he passed, it disrupted the flow."
"..." Yana felt it had to do with that. Of all the times her Father activated the Avatar Spirit, it was in rage at first, before mastering it. And he had done it late, he had chosen love and compassion first. But if it had been Yana-
"Your father was not a bad Avatar, if that is what you are feeling." Roku reassured. "All Avatars are different depending on how they choose, or do not choose, to act."
"Its just...first he rejected to achieve perfect cosmotic peace...what would have helped him master the Avatar Spirit in the first place. Then he let his rage make him vunerable. If he'd just done what he'd needed to do in the first place-"
"You may be Aang's child...but you are vastly different in many ways. In a sense you are the part of him who would be completely sacrificial...you have always surrendered your wants and needs to serve others. Even now..."
Yana let her eyes flicker to the nonexistant entryway from the cave. "I know." Yana said quietly. "But he is needed...for now."
"Be very, very cautious." Roku warned, "While your selflessness may be a prized tool now, be careful. Like the Avatar State...it can serve as a weakness as well."
Yana snapped back into reality. The fire had gone out, and Roku was gone. She had some answers, but somehow, had more questions as well. One in particular made her shiver.
Was she truly emotionless?

"Hey! It got dark in there!" Kyoujin began to fret. "Is she okay?" After a few minutes in silence, his hands slipped and his shorts began to fall, but he quickly grabbed them up.
"Do I have to keep holding my britches up like some idiot?"

Sachi giggled. She thought for a second, and then came up with an idea to help the Merchant-Boy. She ripped off the bottom of her shirt, and gave the strip of fabric to him. "It's not perfect, but it will do." She said, walking back to her post. Her waist was showing. "And Yana is always okay." She added.

Yana came back. The fire was burning bright, hers already burned out from the dampness of the cave. She handed Kyoujin his sash back. "I'm done for tonight. Tomorrow we'll set out for Omashu to see King Bumi."
In truth, Yana never worried about the health of King Bumi. The man was ancient, over a hundred years old, and it seemed he would never die. What was funny was the way he would have liked to die...and thinking about it made her grin a little bit as she stirred the fire. Fish were grilling on sticks for their supper, along with a small collection of gathered fruits.

Sachi smilied brightly. Bumi? Yaay! I miss him! The last time I saw him I was with Dad and Mom... Hope they know I'm okay. She thought to herself. "Lettuce leaf already!" She said, qouting him from one of her father's stories. "I want to show you the best super-slide in the world!"

"I remember him telling me the way he wanted to die once." Yana shook her head with a smile. "He said he wanted to go out after winning an eating competition for salad. Any warrior would want to go out boldly on the battlefield...but then again our Bumi was never very normal."

Sachi laughed, walking with Yana. She looked over her shoulder. "Keep up if you want to come!" She called to the guy. Then she looked at Yana again. "Why are we going to Bumi?"

"Bumi was head of the group in charge of scanning Earth Kingdom citizens to seek the Avatar. And he was Father's friend. He may be mad, but he's really very wise. He'll help straighten us out."
She looked over her shoulder. The dawn had come quickly, but sleep still seemed apparent with Kyoujin. Maybe it was her tendancy to meditate early in the morning, but she couldn't help finding the fire-bender a bit sluggish. "You're lagging along Merchant Boy. Hurry it up...Omashu is waiting!"

Sachi smiled. "I love the story of how Omashu got its name... Are we going through the cave of two lovers?" She asked Yana.

"Unfortunately not." Yana shook her head. "The entrance is blocked off...we'll have to hike across the mountain. But fortunately the war's been over forever. We'll be safe so long as we don't make any stupid moves."

Kyoujin rubbed his eyes and sneered at the two. "Will you guys stop? The back and forth, back forth with the jabbering...AUGH!"
With a little stretch he stuck his tongue out at Yana. "You. Seer. Don't look at me when you mention the word 'stupid'!"

"Unfortunately that means a conflict between being honest and being nice." Yana paused for a moment. "And seers don't lie. Pretty short debate really."
They hiked the mountain, Yana easily adapted to the rough terrain from rock-climbing around the Air Temple. Everyone else on the other hand-
"Careful," Yana warned as she climbed atop carefully perched boulders. "If you put too much pressure on a rock at the wrong time you'll end up buried in a landslide."

"Oh...buried in a landslide...that sounds fun..." Kyoujin grumbled. "Do you wanna know how heavy I am...? It's not like I'm an airbender over here!"

"Weight doesn't exert pressure idiot. It's force." Yana demonstrated by sliding carefully over a precarious block of stone. "Look. If you ease your weight across, barely any force will be exerted. But if you were jump on it, it would exert a greater amount of force." Yana then jumped up, thudding her feet forcefully back down onto the rock. Immediately it came loose, and she leapt away as it went sliding down the mountain with a crash.
"Try not to forget it Merchant Boy." Yana said offhandly.

Sachi rolled her eyes, scaling the rocks almost as well as Yana. She has had to climb up there to visit, and when she was little she visited them all of the time. When she made and Yana made it to the top, the merchant boy was still behind. "Hurry up or we'll leave you there!" She said curtly.
