*sigh* I went to the stupid job interview and I feel like it was a complete waste of time. The guy asked a bunch of stupid questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the job. He asked me if I am a loyal person and then asked for an example of a time when I demonstrated loyalty. He asked about my hobbies and interests. He also asked if I am more interested in people or things.
He said that they were to see if I was qualified for the next interview. I thought that was what the application was for. I was also under the impression that a job interview was also to see if you were the right person for the job. Apparently I was wrong.
He said that he would call me on Friday to let me know if I am qualified for another interview. Oh, and I read on the application that if I'm hired I will have to attend an orientation before I can begin working. I'm pretty much convinced that these people are seeing how much they can waste my time before I give up on the job.

i'm pretty sure that's what they do... they want to make sure that you're GOING to work, not just go to an interview and ditch. I really suggest you try to get this job while continuing to hunt though. There is hope out there somewhere...

I think that would be better than waiting for him to call.

Jobs are quite dull, but they give you something to do other than just sit in your room all day.

A job just pays the bills for me... I DEFINITELY not one of those people who live for their job. I work so I can have an actual life I want... if only I could hit that lotto!
If I was so job worried I'd have moved to Texas with my degree years ago. But I really don't care that much about any job.
I remember my first job when I got my license... it was fast food of course. But at least it was White Castle which pays the most of any fast food restaurant. As soon as I was 18... UPS baby! Worked out great while going to college, though sleep was a rare commodity but then again that's what college is for.

My dad didn't want me to get a job when I was 16, so I ended up volunteering at the local hospital. It was a good move, in that 2 years of volunteer work looks GREAT on a resume, but bad in that I didn't get any money. razz Still, It was a lot of fun. I met some great therapists, including Puppet, the therapy dog. ^_^
My job as an in-home care giver is mostly ok. It doesn't pay enough, but it's "fulfilling" and all that crap. xp

Hospitals and any place of the such gives me the heebie jeebies. I had to sit in a doctors office for an hour then go to a hospital today to set up an mri =.= derned knees.

I can't stand hospitals. They smell funny, the people in there are unhappy (understandably), and I HATE doctors.
I also really don't like being around a lot of people. I've been known to have panic attacks when I'm stuck in a crowded room.
