Keira at this point had been following the techies when she heard one of them shouting profanities about. Guess someone got hit. She quickly grabbed his good arm, and yanked 1337 forward. "Worry about it later! Let's go!" she shouted at him, but let go. She was just trying to get the point across to him to MOVE instead of cursing over getting shot. If it wasn't a vital spot, he would live.

Esther turned around and shot a shadowball in the direction of the officer, hoping to hit him as she turned and chased after Keira. This mission wasn't going well at all...so much for an easy break in. The pokemon they had better damn well be worth all this trouble!

Right now they had to get out, and get help for those who have been hit. Hopefully none were too serious. Where was the damn exit!? It didn't seem like they were THAT deep into the building!

As soon as Roar heard gunshots, he quickly grabbed Petra's pokéball and recalled the frantic vaporeon, not willing to risk him getting hit. Just a few seconds after he replaced the pokéball on his belt, Roar bit back a howl and a string of vile profanity of his own when his vision was lit in a light show of pain. Pure determination was all that kept him on his feet - he was not going to be caught! Not only would Team Rocket not come to break him out but the Pokéforce would take away his Pokémon, and Fury would never let him hear the end of it. If he survived and made it back to headquarters tonight, he was personally going to kill whoever ratted on them.

"Yeah!" Hayes shot in Will's direction.

Anyone who shouted "STOP!" and expected it to work was forgetting what criminals were: people who fundamentally disobeyed. Hayes didn't spare a glance back, but he made some quick recalculations to his route. Police officers worked as a group; having been spotted, the Rockets would inevitably be anticipated. He winced internally at the sound of gunfire.

Don't shoot the hard drive, don't shoot the-

Well, they didn't shoot the hard drive.

Hayes slowed slightly to catch a look at his fellow hacker, but the visored Rocket could still run, so he pressed forward. Switch bounded ahead, cutting close on turns as they were indicated. Between intersections, the blond called directions back to the others.

"We'll come out the west exit. PWN'D can tank; back it up with your sweepers, but if you have anything that flies or teleports, use it!"

User ImageDeciding the other two Rockets would have to find their own way out, a situation Seth could no doubt handle, TRP hurried back after the rest of the retreating group, bringing up the rear to make sure nobody else was left behind.

The attack didn't seem to do any good, because the Snorlax still didn't budge. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Seth knew there was only one other alternative.

"Come on," he growled at the grunt, whom he had determined to be completely at fault for this circumstance. After all, she didn't listen to TRP's order to follow Hayes and now both of them were separated from the group.

Noticing that Loki was there, he merely gave a glance to the Haunter, knowing it would probably follow. Still griping Faleen's arm, he pulled her in the opposite direction the rest of the team had gone, although soon released her. Seth's Luxray continued to run beside them as they traversed the empty halls. It seems most of the police had gone into position to intercept the majority of the Rockets, not realizing there were two stragglers.

Will continued to follow Hayes and the rest of them through the halls, grimacing slightly at the suggestion to release any flying or teleporting Pokemon. His hand gripped the ball containing his Charizard, knowing he would probably have to use him.

None of Keira's pokemon could fly, or teleport. After all, if she had one that COULD teleport she would have been out of here already. No, her pokemon weren't at the stage where they would be of much use in either fashion, and none would ever be able to fly anyways. She figured she would have to make a distraction. Clutching the ball containing her bulbasaur, she would try and attack them with him, and see if that would distract them enough for her to make a dash for it. That was really all she could do at this point.

How many officers were waiting for them outside? Hopefully not too many, after all they were a small group, with not so many people. So it wouldn't be very good if they were outnumbered...they couldn't get caught here. Esther had her ears folded back, she didn't like this situation...

It was getting progressively harder to run after the others, pain flaring up and down Roar's right leg and continually slowing him down. Pure adrenaline was the only thing that kept him going. His heart sank when he heard Hayes' suggestion of making use of any Pokémon that could fly or teleport - neither of which Roar had. He was going to have to either latch onto someone else's Pokémon when they tried to escape or find somewhere to hide until this all blew over. Between his injury and the resulting blood loss, he couldn't hope to outrun the Pokéforce's growlithes.

Why the hell this girl was bothering to touch him was beyond him. In fact, she had just impeded him a bit more, pulling his arm away from his equipment (aka Pokeball). Rather sharply in return, he slapped her hand away. No explanation, no change in his expression. Just a quick slap as if to tell her "No, BAD GIRL!" as if she was some sort of dog Pokemon.

He hovered close to Hayes, who in turn was following a rodent. 1337 was never the sort to really use his tools for anything more than tools. At the moment, the Pikachu was useful, so there were no complaints on his side.

At the mention of the plan, 1337 grinned a bit wider (if that was even humanely possible). "That was the plan to begin with!" It did not take a genius to figure out that 1337's Metagross was a perfect tool for such a hostile situation. Big steel-type Pokemon that more or less was not going to get affected by bullets.

Pulling his good arm back to his side, he plucked off a Pokeball from his belt and waited. They would have to get outside first before he could release his tool of the trade. They still had to get to the exit. His fingers twitched in anticipation (or was that from the pain in his other arm? Who knew?).

She looked a little dazed to be pulls around by Seth, blinking and trying to gather her bearings.
"Ah!" she yelped when she was tugged down the hall again, stumbling at first but catching her footing, boots thudding dully as she ran quickly to keep up with the much taller Seth once he let go. placing the radio up to her ear so she could hear it more clearly as the officers communicated with one another. trying to find the location there group was heading.
from what she gathered, the officers were gathering heavily on the east exit. god she hoped the team wasn't heading there

"Sir!" she called to him, not certain he would even listen to her and just keep going. "Sir! they're trying to head the group off to the east, if they run into a trap... how important is this building to them to remain in one peice?"
if there was a snitch, this whole building could be nothing, but if it was really that important...
They had an advantage with the radio, she might not know what options they had, but they had to try and do something to get out, get the others out.

It hadn't been a maze getting in, and it wasn't a maze getting out. After they'd made a few turns to reverse direction, the going was pretty straightforward. Before long, 'EXIT' glowed in bright red letters at the end of the hallway. Their light source slowed to a halt and stopped, bringing a metal door with a push-bar into view. "P'ka!"

"Up!" The blond tapped his shoulder sharply. The Pikachu turned and made a leap. His little claws caught on the grunt's uniform and he raced up to the blond's shoulder where he stood, leaning forward alert and at the ready.

With his other hand holding a Pokeball at the ready, Hayes braced his palm against the door and grinned back at 1337. "Great, so let's do it." To the rest, he shouted, "When we get out there, break for the field! Get ready!"

And he smashed it open.

Hearing that the cops were concentrating around the eastern exit, Seth's brows furrowed and he didn't pay much attention to what Faleen was blabbering about next. But he caught enough to realize it sounded like she wanted to blow up the building.

"Listen grunt. Why don't you just leave the "bright ideas" to me? Just shut up and don't fall behind. You're the reason we got separated from the group to begin with."

Right now their priority was to get out of there.

Eventually they made it to an exit and Seth recalled his Luxray into its pokeball. The door was unlocked, likely one of the doors the cops had used to get in. And sure enough, when he cracked the door open to peer out he could see and hear them several feet away.

"Follow my lead" Seth muttered to Faleen, grabbing another pokeball off of his belt and gripping the gun in his other hand.

---

On the other side of the building, several startled Pokeforce officers that were keeping guard in the alley suddenly turned around when the door was smashed open. "HAULT!" they shouted, pointing their guns and firing as the Rockets proceeded to flee. There wasn't many of them, just a handful. But one frantic officer quickly spoke into his radio. "They're on the west side! THE WEST SIDE!" "What?! All units to the west!"

Keira nromally would have given 1337 an ear full for swatting her like that, but now wasn't the time. She quickly grabbed Esther by her scruff, throwing her onto her shoulder with her pokeball in hand. The exit! Perfect! Alright then! "Genbu! Use sleep powder on the officers when we get out!" she told the bulbasaur was was now running next to her. He wasn't the fastest pokemon out there, but he was able to keep up.

As they burst through the doors, Genbu grabbed onto Keira with his vines as he positioned the tip of his bulb at the officers. He shot as much sleep powder at them as he could muster as Keira yanked her arm, quickly pulling him towards her and into her arms. Now the plan was to just RUN! She didn't have a pokemon to fly on, so all she could do was count on her feet. Please let that be enough!

It was probably to much to hope that the cops would fall for a bluff like that anyway. She obeyed and kept quiet, despite how worried she was aout the other group, she had heard some gunfire...
"... Sir." she confirmed,
Keeping up with him, though still kept the radio close to her ear.
he was probably right about this being her fault, she didn't expect anyone to stop for her though, its not like it would have taken very long, and where the hell was that Snorlax come from anyway?

As they got to the door she started to lower the radio, though her eyes widened slightly when she heard that the others were leaving through the west exit.
Smiling a little, before she switched the sound off, sliding it into her belt, freeing her hand to take up her second pokeball.

"Let's f*ck some sh*t up!"

Apparently, this was the computer hacker's idea of a good time. The two hackers and a handful of other grunts broke through the door. 1337 wasted no time and threw his Pokeball out. It popped open and bounced back to his left hand, red light forming into a rather large mass of a Pokemon.

"Time to PWN!"

Yes, 1337 like corny catch phrases. Apparently the stupid girl from before had managed to get her bulbasaur out first and was using sleep powder. Fortunately, it had no effect on the Metagross since it hadn't fully emerged yet.

A few gunshots were taken, but the moment the large metal Pokemon emerged, the bullets simply ricocheted off of it. It's large red eyes scanned the area, noting the puny police officers (well, puny in comparison to it). It didn't attack, since the command hadn't been given yet.

1337 turned to Hayes and asked "Can I get a lift with ya?" There was a pause as he then turned to his Pokemon. The command was simple.

"Use Psychic to disable the officers. Turn them to face the direction of the other units arriving. If any officers start to show up, open fire."

The Metagross said nothing. Instead, the large metal X across its face glowed of various different colors. Fortunately for 1337, this Pokemon was an obedient little tool that did exactly as told. Just like a good tool should. Once it had charged up the attack, the Metagross concentrated its efforts on the police officers, blue energy starting to glow around them in an effort to manipulate them strictly with its mind.

Through adrenaline and determination only, Roar managed to catch up with the group in time to hear Hayes' instructions just before the door was thrown open. It was a struggle to not panic between the pain, blood loss, and the potential of further injury, but they were so close to escape, his only thought was pushing himself as much as necessary to make it happen. As soon as he saw the metagross, Roar dove behind it, not wanting to get shot a second time, and he looked to the hackers for further instructions.
