Nicole waited until most of the gunfire had died down, looking wistfully in the direction the three others had went. "...Anyway..." She cleared her head and began to write on her arm. "Like I was saying, first off: Food. Mainly non-perishables like canned foods, or dried ramen noodles. And jugs of water or something else to drink, like soda. Also, canned fruit. Getting scurvy on land would be a bad thing." She paused to laugh at her joke. "Next, supplies: Hardware, hammers, nuts, bolts, screwdrivers, etc... Batteries for power. Extra flashlights and bulbs for them...Changes of clothes aren't that important, but sort of. Then, the camping section of Wal-Mart! Guns, bullets, and tents galore! Anything to add?" She asked Ellie, wanting any opinions if she forgot something.

James was in the middle of the fray, wishing he had time to get the .50 out, but the things were fast, upon them faster than he thought possible. Already the Glock was running low, and the only other magazine he had was the standard 18-round clip. He pulled out the ninjato in one hand, making sure none got close enough to bite him, thankful he was with two others able to watch his back as he watched theirs. Soon enough, the zombies had fallen, thanks mostly to Tyler's SAW. "I have got to get one of those, but I'm already a bit heavy with this beast." He said shrugging the weight of the rifle on his back to the other side, making it more comfortable. He reloaded his nearly empty clips, and slapped the extended one into place in the Glock. "I'm going to take the high ground, preferable a building still with a door to the roof." He pointed to one nearby, and starting walking towards it. "I'll keep the hoards thinned as much as I can before they can reach you."

"What, this old thing? Only twenty-two pounds, soaking wet. We'll scout out the more crowded areas of the city, where a military presence would have been. I'm betting we can find one of these somewhere around here."

James was already a fair distance off, but he heard Tyler easily in the quiet area. "Sure, if you find any .50 ammo, be sure to grab as much as you can, I'm low, and any 9mm ammo as well. I'll see you guys when I spot some zombies headed your way!" He walked into the desolate building, expecting a zombie around any corner, so he drew the Glock, ready for a quick shot if needed.

"Slow your roll, cowboy. We'll stick together. Venturing out alone gets you killed," Tyler said, pointing out a lone, chewed up skeleton lying on the ground nearby.

Walking back out, James had a disappointed look on his face. "I wanted to really give myself a test on how long a range this has. Ah well, you're right, if I'm alone and one manages to get behind me, I'm a goner." He jogged back to the group, intent on shooting a few zombies from afar. "So, any chance heading up north, around the Quebec area after this is done? I have a friend I'd like to pick up if she is still alive."

"I suppose, we could make our way there, eventually. We're already headed north. The next city on the railway is Colombia, South Carolina. From there we've got Raleigh, then Richmond. So long as we keep the rails clear, we may be able to make it to Quebec. The Promised Land is supposed to be in Canada, somewhere."

"Ok, sounds good to me, just hope we don't get overloaded on the train, and I don't mean in weight, I mean in numbers, our food won't last forever." James shifted the weight of his rifle from his left to his right, the bulky thing a bit uncomfortable still. "Any idea how much farther that military base is from here?"

She asked Ellie, wanting any opinions if she forgot something.

Ellie shook her head as she cocked her new gun. "Nope, sounds like you named off everything. But, maybe extra walkie-talkies wouldn't be a bad idea. That way, we have a set for the train and a set for expeditions." Once Nicole wrote that down, she grasped her hand and headed off the train and towards town. When they were wandering the streets, Ellie looked back at Nicole in slight confusion. "Why tents, though? We're not going to be camping in the great outdoors any time soon, whatnot with the zombies."

Nicole put the pen back in her pocket, tapping her walking stick/staff on the ground as they walked. She tilted her head curiously to the side at Ellie's question. "Tents? No, I was just throwing them into what I was saying for fun. 'Course we're not going to get any." She laughed and shook her head. "Plastic walls can't repel hungry zombies, 'specially not at night...Oh, sorry. Guess that was a zombie/vampire joke there, no offense meant." They walked on for a little while, and she was glad that Tyler, Russ, and James had gone on ahead. Then she remembered what Tyler had said. "Wait, we're supposed to wait 20 minutes while they cleared this place out...But I don't have a watchWe should at least let them know." She took her hand out of Ellie's grip to press the walkie talkie's button down. "House-Cleaning party, Scout Party has departed the base train and is en route to the nearest Walmart. Require a brief countdown of the pre-arranged wait-time, may have invalidated it. What's the situation? Over." She couldn't help but adopt a mock military tone, using the walkie talkie had that effect.

"Mother Hen, this y'ere's Ghost Rider. Situation nominal, approaching twenty-minute mark in T Minus three minutes. Prepare to mobilize troops. All two of them. Be advised, Mother Hen: Charlie may still be lurking around, so keep weapons hot. Ghost Rider out, over," Tyler drawled, playing along.

((Hey, just thinking, how much time has passed since the Final Plague started turning people into zombies?))

"Roger that, Sweeper. Confirmation has been made that Merchant has departed prematurely. No sign of the stinks 'round here yet, appreciate the concern. Troops are primed and ready to party. ETA destination about 5 minutes, at least. Rendezvous back at HQ, will notify if assistance is needed. Good hunting, Merchant out. Over." Nicole was glad that Tyler wasn't letting the situation get to him. Humor was a good thing to have around. She tucked her walking stick under her arm and grabbed her shotgun off her back, clicking the safety off.

((Let's say....six years has passed since the Final Plague began. The world was covered about two years before present day. Oh, Neowing has the Gundam RP back up, BTW.))

Russ had sat down and began taking a drink of the bottle he always carried. It was full of sweet tea. "Ahhh! Nothing like the smell of dead zombie. Well they were already dead but you know what I mean." He took another drink and sheathed his blood stained katana. "So where to next 'Ghost Rider'?"

"I dunno. I guess we could just take a breather, since this part of the town's cleared out. The girls can handle themselves, for now. But if they get into trouble, here we are."
