Azriel saw this through her eyes and wrapped an arm around her possessively and held back the growl threatening to escape his chest. He turned his head to stare at them darkly. One of the guys tripped and fell on another, who shoved him into another guy that hit him and soon a fight broke out among the men and security lead them out. He waited for the person in front of them finish. "I am glad you want to. It pleases me to know."

She looked forward as they were next in line and the woman attendant sitting at the desk eyes Azriel. Oh give me a break... she said as she frowned to the woman as she shamelessly smiled and fluttered her eyes. Aerie leaned her head against his chest baltantly showing the woman that she was with Azriel.

He looked at her and gave her a hard glare. "Our tickets, please. Under Azriel. Or do I have to make a complaint about lack of professionalism to the Management Surveyors?" his voice was cold, but not unkind. He waited and thanked her once they were given the tickets. "Home." he said, passing his hand over his face in exasperation.

I can't wait... she whispered softly to him as they made their way to security and then to the gate that they would board the plane through. "I will go get a drink before we board."

He nodded, following her quietly, a smile on his face. He was content now, and happy that Aerie was safe and with him. He didn't want to let her out of his sight, so naturally, he followed her.

"I don't know how I lived without you...." she said as she turned to face him after gathering her change. She was already so accustomed to having him around.

He shook his head, not wanting to think about how she'd Had to live without him, instead, he gave her a smile and a kiss on her nose. "I'm only sorry I didn't find you sooner."

A small purr left his barely parted lips, her company was so sweet, it was like a warm glow he could bask in and never fear being burned. He would give his life to protect her... "I am glad." he murmured softly, kissing finally-- her lips.

He stroked her hair back gently. "Then beware of danger... for I could not live in a world where you do not exist..." he would die without her, but the question was, who would have to kill him, and after how many innocents died? He pushed those thoughts away and took her hands in his, leading her to the gate when the announcement came.

"I doubt you would let anything happen to me..." she whispered to him as she tightened her hold on his hand.

Darn right I wouldn't. he said, using the more intimate connection between lifemates. He had said the words that bound them but he had not taken her blood, nor had his body joined with hers. Despite his body's urges, he feared if he made them known she might not be ready, so he tried his hardest to hold back his inner beast. They were seated and soon the plane was in the air and they were leaving behind the threat to his lifemate, heading for absolute safety and his home.

He wrapped his arms around her, having lifted the armrest between the two of them to hold her close. He kissed her head and put up an impenetrable barrier around her mind to make it impossible for anything or anyone to track her psychically and allowed her to rest. Thank you too. he responded softly.
