You need to also remember the Gambino created the Grombies. And there could of been a chance that he could of changed so cremation makes sure that is impossible.

...I think this whole thing is going to come to a massive conclusion on the coming Halloween. Sen and Hoboseer will have their final epic battle against Zhivago and Mystery Suspect Uno. Who may or may not be Ruby.
Hell, we might even see Kuro again.

April fools... PLOT Update! I'm posting this again in case people missed it, but the last announcement of the day wasn't fake. Yes, I am dead serious. If you clicked on the topmost link, you would get a so-called "Ash-Face" item, after one final fake out (referring to it as a rare "Phoenix Up.". One pose was a traditional explody face.... the other was this:  Gambino's Urn... cracking open... to reveal a Grunny. Methinks there's another Zombie Outbreak in our future...

That is one weird looking grunny...
I guess "Phoenix Up" could refer to Gambino, rising from the ashes like a majestic phoenix... Albeit a grunny phoenix...

could it be that [as morbid as it is] when cremated on Gaia, an unattended pot filled with ashes would eventually turn into something a grunny would spawn from? I mean, that item that we got for april fools would certainly suggest that.
why do I have this horrible feeling that this is something that the gaian plot writers would actually do? gonk
2.or, since Johnny has been exposed to so many things, not unlike a phoenix, he would rise from his ashes? I sort of feel like this is something that is more easily explained.
3.IT is also possible that [we never learned what makes grunnys] grunnys are made from [ew] the ashes of the dead mixed with blood/some unknown substance that tastes rather bad, thus creating [as referred to by cute grunny] a grunny egg.
what do you guys think of my late-night crackpot brainstorms?
JUSTIFICATION
I mean, I feel like there is a connection between what cute grunny said in the announcement, the fact that gambino was cremated, and the phoenix up item.
THERE IS A CONNECTION.and as the GiB, it is our job to find it.

i've got it.
Gambino died rich. Diedrich was born from the ashes of gambino, died/rich=diedrich.
Diedrich is the phoenix of gambino, his "rebirth". These are more innocent grunnys, not born from peoples heads or the g-virus but from eggs that are built from the ashes of people, and they retain a certain amount of memorys and such. Gambino was a scientist, Diedrich likes facts.

I think louie has something to do with this....maybe hes been a spy this entire time! EDIT: Ok I went to H&R Wesley and clicked learn his story and this came up Comic #18 It was the one where everyone was being attacked and right before they were being attacked they would see a shadow in the corner of their eye from a window or something. (which later ended up having to do with the Von Helsons) Gambino in the current comic recently said I have been seeing shadows in the corner of my eye so I'm thinking that this is definitely the Von Helsons. Without losing the idea that louie has something to do with this...
