i dont know if this has anything to do with this .but i had this dream recently ,i dont really know what was going on ,but i can only remember some parts of it .i was sitting down at a table with someone and for some reason i put my hand infront of me and a blue flame just appeared on my hand and just engulfed it . so i started to play with it a little and moved the flame to my finger tips ,as i was doing that a heart appeared in front of me too , so for some reason i reached out to it with the flame in my hand and lit it on fire ,the flame didnt change ,it was still blue .then someone was walking up to me and when i looked up from staring at the burning heart ,i only saw their eyes widdening from pure terror at the sight of what i did , and then i just woke up .but when i woke up the first thing i said was "the blue flame the heart of the red flame ."i dont really know what that was all about but i thought that since fire was an element i should post it here just in case it was a sign of my element ..or something like that sweatdrop

any ideas of something else it could mean ? confused

People 'see' or 'find' out there element in diffrent ways. That might tell you its Fire, but I can't really be sure.

However, I know that 'Blue Flame' is a sign of purity, or to purify something. Do you know someone who is troubled greatly? (or something along those lines)

You might have the power to purify objects/people/hearts/ect. There is no way I can tell from here, and with the somewhat vague description of the dream.

Hope that helps... heh... sweatdrop

I used to think my element was fire, as my Chinese astrological sign is the Snake, and the element that corresponds with that is fire, but I'm also a Scorpio, which is a water sign. I never felt very connected to water, however, over time I've started to feel it. At first, it didn't make much sense, as I'm not (or at least I wasn't) really a water person.... Like I didn't like taking baths, I didn't swim much, stuff like that. But since around last summer, when my dad moved to Curacao (an island in the Neth. Antilles), I've been becoming more... connected to it. The most recent thing I can think of, and so it's the most revelent to me, is when I was swimming in a pool (it's happened in more natural water sources, like the ocean), but I wanna go underwater for no reason at all... like I'm drawn. And so I'll go under, and it's like I don't need to breathe. I'm totally comfortable and I feel safe and protected. Once I think I forgot to hold my breath, and it was like I could breathe underwater. I know it sounds kind of crazy but that's what happened.

Sound like a water elementalist to me!! Not everyone is 'drawn' to the element they are most in-tune with. But, if you can breath - even somewhat - under water, you have some tremendous power there. Becareful though, if you really have a lot of power over the water, trouble could come your way if you use it a lot, or try to find you.

Just becareful, and if you get in over your head (no pun intended) PM me and I'll help anyway i can.

Well, I'm only near water when I'm with my dad over vacations. Normally I live with my mom and my sister. We're near the Chesapeake Bay and James River, but I would never swim in those... it's brown water eek . I don't really do anything to control the water, because, like I said, I'm not near it much. I think I'll start doing some simple hydrokinesis though, just to keep myself 'in practice'.

Okay, that's cool (the part about determining your element via candle and bowl of water) but How would you be able to see which element you are more intuned to INCLUDING earth and air. I personally FEEL i'm more intuned with air, but is there a method that is practiced to reveal this or are you considered either air or fire if you move the candle flame, or either water or earth if you see movement in the water? Is there a seperate method for seeing if you are intune with the air or earth?

I really enjoy being in high places and feeling the wind against my hair (kind of long for a guy) and my cloths. I dream of falling most of the time, but it's usually my more calming repeatitive dreams. I know what the dream dictionary says about falling and the bad stuff it represents, but its then I feel such an attunement with air. I love the winter which is also why I wonder if one can be intune with a sub-element too. Although Ice is only solid water, its more than that. For one, its not fluent and emotional, it seems more cold and clear. Able to become water's prison or its protector. In chemistry, water has a very rare ability to expand when it solidifies and become less dense at the same time. So I don't know exactly how one is if they are alligned with ice, but I just see potential in people being sub-elements.

Does anyone else feel intune with a sub-element of some kind?

Going by the zodiac, I'm an earth element, which fits pretty well-sometimes. Then again, water and fire can both entrace me very easily, and as my friends found out, I love burning things...and I'm not allowed near the matches at our sleepovers anymore u.u...Air is nice, but I don't feel any special connection to it...

Third time i have posted this here, but:
Your element you are most intune with DOES NOT come with your birthday or zodiac sign. If that was the case, i would be water...

How you get your element, i dont know. The creator (whomever you deem that to be) decideds that for you. For what reason, we all have our guesses.

Now, sub-elements... You can have one, infact we all do. I think of it as a Major and Minor elements that we can use. Some even have more than one Major element. But thats a diffrent discussion all together...

How can you see if you are air, earth, or something else? I dunno, the bowl of water and the candle was just an idea that popped into my head. It might help, it might not. I dont have all the answers... I just have a great deal of knowdlege with elements... Most of which, I cannot post here...

There are 7 element that exist on this plane of existance... Now, everyone's misconseption is that everyone view of these elements are PHISICAL... In fact, they are energies that exist here and they all interact together to create this world we live in...

Air
Earth
Fire
Water
Ice
Spirt
Lighting

Now, some view Ice and Lighting as sub-elements cause of the PHISICAL nature of the elements that requres more than one other element to occur. The same can be said for all of the others... IE:

Fire - in phisical form cannot exist with out air and earth (ie: wood)
Air - bound to earth by gravity and sprit
Spirt - sustains life in combonation with all other elements

These are just a few examples... Hope this helps clear up a few things, OR this is just gunna create more bashing on me by others... Either way, it will be fun to me... mrgreen

Light of the blade, I love your concept of the elements the most. I have always seen Ice and Lightning as individual elements deserving their own respect and symbolic representations. I see Ice as clearity and truth while Lightning seemed to border Fire in power and determination but had the unique quality to be very adaptive and excited.

I realize that Wicca only mentions Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Spirit; but I wonder where you came up with your compilation of the elements. What faith follows those six elements and what faith you might even belong to. I have noted several times you mentioning that weren't Wiccan and would like to know, if you don't mind, what you personally believe in if it is a massively well known belief such as Wiccan, Chirstianity, or Islam.

Ran-duh, I believe it was brought up before, but I don't believe an element is based off of your birth and astrology. Am I wrong to believe that astrology and the way of Wicca are two different things? I don't know, I just see Wicca as more of a way to take control of your own path as well as what element you are most intune with.
