Emily turned to Jeff, a cold fire burning in her eyes. "Well, I have evidence. Care to see it?". She held out the shades, making sure they worked. They turned on, apparently not as damaged as she thought. She explained what they were. "These, my fine officer, are called thermal shades. They are prototypes being tested by the Seattle police department. You track a criminal using thermal vision. However, they can also see different typess of energy. When I had them on, Eric over here, was enveloped by some sort of strange blue arura. Since they only energy I had never seen with the shades was radioacticity, I assumed that he was a walking reactor. Besides, I would hate to speculate about it being a new energy. Who knows about what that could cause". Emily continued to hold the shades for Jeff to take.

Jeff was investing in Excedrin for this crime. What was the protocol for dealing with radioactive kids? Currently the only thought was he was hotter than most guys, let the girl get over it. But he might be put on desk duty for such a demeaning statement. Taking the sunglasses, he put them on. Well, the kid definitely was blue. Turning to the girl he asked, "You said these were thermal glasses? Wouldn't blue mean he's, I don't know dead, hypothermic, something like that?" The force had like 2 of pairs of thermal glasses, for extra special cases. They looked like dorky goggles, and were way too small for Jeff. Either way, they didn't show radioactive stuff. Only the ticking thingy did. Not that he was sure they had one. Pulling his communicator out of his pocket, he called to Alfred. "Requesting one of those radioactive measurers. We may have a problem." He seemed to understand the garble that came through the radio. "Yeah a gieger counter, sure. I have a...expert who suggests the young boy, Eric, might be radioactive." He listened again, sighing, "Okay. But do we want to quarantine the lobby now or later?" After another set of gibberish, he turned to Emily. "How dangerous do you think he is?"
((Curiosity Silence, do you want to play Alfred or Jeff while they prove Eric's not slowly dying?))

Emily sighed when Jeff asked about the color of Eric and his body temperature. "Like I said, these are a prototype: they're made to scan for thermal and other energy signatures, and they're not set for thermal scans at the moment. If you use this dial here, you'll see his body temperature normal". When he said he had an expert on his end, she smirked. Then she smiled. She began laughing hysterically, turning to Eric she said, "Expert?!? I'm an Expert?!? I'm not even sure what the levels of radiation are. I don't even know how to protect oneself!". When Jeff asked her how dangerous he was, she stopped laughing. Catching her breath and composure, she replied, "Like I said, I'm only guessing at this point that it's radiation. Better not to take chances though considering that it can be catching when on the loose". She twiddled her thumbs not looking worried at all. She turned around to Eric again. "Sorry about the laughter, it's spontaneous, mostly in the most awfull of times". She had the urge to look in the direction of Amy's body. "You're so lucky you don't need to deal with all this crap", she mumbled softly.

(sure i'll play him)
Amy felt worried. I need to go. I'm causing trouble for you and if I leave this can be cleared up easily. Thank you for helping me Eric. I'll come back as soon as I can." Before he had a chance to protest she detatched herself from him and vanished. There was just the smallest feeling she was still here, but she wasn't.
Sam stood up adn walked over to jeff not shure what in the world was going on. "I'll bein reach should you need me, can I go?" he asked groughly looking over to his son. He had a lot going through his head and he did not want to be here.
Alfred sighed and ran a hand through his hair. This day just could not get any worse could it? He walked out of his office after making a call to his boss. He explained the istuation and then went out to help jeff.

((Thanks Silence. I'd thought at first he wouldn't really be needed then it got complicated...>.<))
'She'd prefer expert to psycho.' Jeff thought to himself, as he wished Alfred was the type to run to his aid. "Other energy signals?" he murmured aloud, trying to figure out if that just meant Eric was tired. He resisted the urge to ask if he'd taken a large amount of caffeine.
Eric just ignored the girl. He was more focused on trying to keep them from sending him to a hospital and putting on those crazy suits. Muttering to himself at her outburst, he added, "You protect yourself by staying away from it." His attention flicked back to Emily and he couldn't help raising an eyebrow. "Who?" Then Amy left him, too quickly for him to convince her otherwise. Looking around bewildered, he tried to see if he could see her, or at least hear her screams of pain. Damn girl, why couldn't she have just ignored us?
Jeff paused for a moment, thinking that he might need to make Sam stay for this 'epidemic' his son seemed to have. But he shook his head, "No, you can go on home, sir. We'll contact you when we need more information." Or serve the warrant for your arrest with child abuse, one or the other. "Have you reached your wife again?" This was the kind of police work he understood. He could deal with this until Alfred came with that ticking thingy and proved whether Eric was slowly poisoning everyone or not.

sam nodded. He ignored th threats to arrest him. "I got hold of her, she's at home now, I was going to go talk to her keep her from breaking down incase yall came over" he coughed a few times but then shruged waving. "see you later eric please don't cuse to much trouble" he aid and walked out. It was the closes he had come to showing he cared for anyone in a long time.
Alfred made it to them looking very professional like. "So what exactly the problem?" he asked looking between eric jeff and the girl. He noticed jeff looked tired.

Emily was looking through the shades when Alfred came. She had been watching Eric when suddenly the blue aura vanished. As calmly as possible, she looked around." Maybe this isn't a radioactive energy", she thought. She didn't tell the others about it, but walked up to Eric. She'd let the policemen do all the talking. Eric was looking around, a little confused, but that wasn't going to stop her. "What's wrong Eric? Loose something?". She sounded as sincere as possible, but she knew that he knew something; and she was going to find out what that was.

Jeff could have done a happy dance then and there. Turning to his partner, he filled him in, "Miss. Emily here has glasses that sense unusual energy patterns. She believes that Eric might be infected with radiation poisoning. I have looked through her glasses, and agree that there is a unusual blue energy about Eric. I have not established what it is." His total attention was on completing the report. He'd done millions of them before to Alfred, but this one, he had to work not to sound silly.
True confusion was evident in Eric's eyes when he met Emily's gaze. "Uh..." Running a hand through his head, he shook his head, "Nothing I haven't lost before." Silently, selfishly he wished Amy hadn't actually crossed over. The few moments away from her were making him feel down. He was starting to feel crazy again. He looked over Emily's pinning gaze. There was something that made him want to squirm, even though he hadn't done anything wrong. "Uh...who are you?" It wasn't exactly phrased politely, but the question would at least distract her hopefully.

"Emily, Emily Perkins", she replied. "Sorry for not introducing myself earlier, that cop over there wouldn't let me go". She quickly switched gears back to him. "So, what are you here for?". She figured that once she knew why he was here, things would unravel quickly and she'd know why he had a strange energy signature.

Eric nodded slowly, the name meaning nothing to him. The question was asked so blatantly that he couldn't help but flinch and look around, as if hoping to see Amy again. "M-my," goddammit, he'd just mentally talked to her a few minutes ago. "My sister was..." he wasn't sure what verb to use. Each came with its own picture, its own description, mutilating his sister.

Emily steped back, the realization hit her like ton brick. "You're...you're Amy's older brother!". She looked down and shook her head. "I'm so sorry, I'm pretty insensitive." Her started to water up, but she willed herself not to cry. She would not cry! An odd feeling went through her, like something was watching them, yet wasn't. It disturbed her greatly.

Eric frowned severely. "You didn't know Amy." He stated it as a fact, completely certain, which he would have been even if Amy hadn't been in his head moments before. His sister was the kind who had a few very close friends, and Eric felt he knew them all. Besides, he already had her confirm this girl was a stranger. Seeing her eyes start to water, made him have to squeeze his own shut, his lip quivering. He felt like the simplest thing could make him cry now he was so vulnerable without her.

Emily looked at him blankly. "Well, you're sharp", she said. "Yes, I've never met Amy, never got the chance. I just came from Seattle to come visit you guys. My Dad says we're realitives of a distant sort". She shrugged. At this point she didn't know if that was even true, but it was what her Dad had said.

Alfred listened intently to the report. He knew jeff was trying hard not to sound stupid. He belived him. He had to take all reports seriously. "Thanks jeff" he said and walked over to the girl.
"I hate to interupt you, but may I see those glasses?" he asked reffering to the special glasses.
Amy really shouldn't have left. As soon as she left, she could feel some of the worst pain she could think of. It felt as if her chest was being cut open and then someone was swimming inside her. She wanted to run back to Eric so bad. Apearently she hadn't been with him long enough for their idea to work. She sat in the autopsy room now in the cornor. she refused to watch. But she cried.

Eric blinked at her. "We're related?" he shook his head in bewilderment. "I have no idea why you'd want to visit us, but uh..hi." He tried hard not to be his father's son, which meant he had to at least try to be polite. He flinched minutely, somewhere deep inside of him feeling a slicing pain down his chest. It was too deep to feel real, but the instinctive part of him considered it might have been from Amy. He tried to listen for her, but he couldn't hear her. He would have heard her if she was hurting right?
Jeff was slowly relaxing now that he didn't have to be in control. As he watched Alfred reach for the glasses, he continued to fill him in, "From what I get, the glasses have two settings: a thermal and an energy reading. The switch on the side controls which is in use. When you look through them with the energy, Eric here is bright blue. One of those nice colors, like your wife wants to paint the house."
