[Momiji : Forrest of Magic : Outside of Alice's]
Momiji nodded hearing Kyouko's explanation of the explosion. She had taken out her pen and notepad for notes.
"I see, Alice was the one who set off the explosion. She made an explosion go up around you cause she refused to go with you to search for the humans. She certainly not very nice is she..." she said repeating the story, to make sure she got it right. Till a part of the story caught her interest more than the explosion. She couldn't believe she almost missed it.
Momiji rushed over into Kyouko's face after she had addressed the other girl that had taken refuge behind the tree.
"The humans are missing!?!" she yelled out excited, "THIS IS A SUPER SCOOP! You must tell me, when did they go missing? Where do you think they are? Do you have any leads? Who was the first to go missing?"
The questions rolled out of Momiji's mouth at such a pace that it would be hard for Kyouko to really understand let alone answer them all as they were asked. But the wolf couldn't help it, Aya will be jumping around happily with this scoop.

"Nyah~!"
Before Chen could react to Kyouko to correct her since she had called her Chenya, the little nekomata jumped into the air again and away from the tree as she felt something latch onto her tails and give them a slight tug. Her attention quickly turned around to look behind her.
"Nekomata Strike!"
She yelled as she brought her long finger nailed hand down in a swiping motion which created energy strikes that flew from her nails for a short distance before striking a tree instead of their intended target. She looked around seeing that she hadn't actually hit anything... aside from the tree and then turned her attention back to Kyouko. She moved back toward her.
"No it's not Chenya It's just Chen, Yakumo Chen.... Oh!?
{{Cue: Ran's Theme}}
Chen's attention shifted quickly as she heard music going off and reached into her pocket and pulled out the phone and flipped it open to hear Ran's voice.
"Hi Ran-sama! I'm over at Alice's House. Hey can I help Kyouko find the humans?"

[Remilia :: Scarlet Devil Mansion :: Basement -> Gates]
Remilia had started for the gates of the mansion when she heard her sister shouting throughout the mansion. Yes, she thought, I should probably talk to her before the gatekeeper. She dropped her parasol and dashed through the mansion at top speed, making incredible time considering how large and labyrinthine the place was. She had, after all, lived here for quite a while.
"Ah, Flan," Remilia started, giving her best and most mysterious grin, "I was just about to tell you: we're going to have some 'guests' in a moment, and we're going to all hide in the basement for a bit, very quietly. They can't know we're here, okay? It's part of a 'game' we're playing. I'm sure your fox will be back soon, but for now, husssh." She held a single finger up to her mouth, which hadn't stopped making that grin, "I'm gonna go make preparations. Wait here!"
Without waiting for a response, Remilia turned and ran back to the spot where she left her discarded parasol, and, picking it up, almost immediately returned to her affected elegance. "Well then," she said to Sakuya, "let's see what China's up to."
The Scarlet Devil led the way to the gates of the mansion, where Meiling stood, half asleep.

 [Hong Meiling: Scarlet Devil Mansion Gate] The guard of the gate was actually quite unaware that her mistress and the cheif maid had come upon her. One could even say blissfully unaware, as she continued her nap against the door. Sad, really. Even the wheather had been aware of what was going to happen to the poor girl, a single cloud blocking the sun's view of the gate. But the youkai still kept napping peacefully.

[Sukina: Magic Forest oustide Alice's house]
Oh, this was just getting ridiculous. Pounced on by a cat, the idiot being interviewed by the wolf, the girl with the dolls just...there...
Sukina sat on the ground, legs crossed, arms crossed over her chest. Nope. She wasn't planning on moving. Not with all these people around. Either she'd be a toy, a 'story', or a blasting zone. And she was quite comfortable on the ground, her ivy circling and spiraling up and down her arms. She didn't want to go to the Scarlet Devil Mansion to investigate and 'incident'. It was...utterly ridiculous!

Kyouko spoke to Momiji. "Oh right, you work for that newpaper tengu girl!" Kyouko said excitedly. "Yeah, the more help we can get the better, after all, we're not as used to solving incidents as Reimu-san and Maris- What the, where is that noise coming fro- What the hell is that thing? And what, Ran-san? Where is she?" she cut herself off, letting out a string of questions. First there was the music, then Chen pulled out the source which was a small...box thing...which she then started talking into, asking Ran something about following her. Then Kyouko yelled "WHAT IS GOING ON?!" Looking around for Ran.
[Ran :: Mayohiga :: Yakumo House]
Ran blinked, pulled the phone from her ear, looked at it strangely, then put it back against her ear. "Wha...Alice's house? Help Kyouko find the humans? Isn't that the daft oni girl that Marisa has been training?" Ran thought for a moment. On one hand, the oni's information was obviously off, or else Yukari would be in a fit right now. Though still, Having someone treat Chen nicely was good. Might as well let her enjoy it. "Fine, you can go, but in return, you are help with Yukari-sama's evening meal twice next week. Understood?" Ran said, in her typical motherly stern-but-accepting voice. Then she heard Kyouko's yell in the background. "Ah I was right...it is that Oni girl. Well, have fun Chen." SHe was a bit worried that Chen would lose some of her intelligence from being around that idiot, Kyouko, but a friend was a good thing...she hoped.

Chen tuned out what the others were talking about as well as Kyouko's stream of questions as Ran-sama spoke to her through her cell phone. She would explain it if she had to when she was done.
"Yes I think so.." She said in response to Ran's inquiry over the phone, "and understood Ran-sama Thank you!"
She continued to listen to her master and mother figure speak as she confirmed her theories regarding Kyouko when she heard her yell which Chen had to cover her other ear with her hand to tune out and then hung up. She then turned her attention back to Kyouko. She had forgotten that not very many people in Gensokyo had access to technology and as such had no idea what a Cell Phone was.
"Yattah! Ran-sama has said that I can help you find the humans! As for what this is it's called a cell phone. A bit of technology that allows my family to communicate with each other even though we're nowhere near each other."
She explained as she pocketed the device to make sure that nothing happened to it. Neither Yukari-sama or Ran-sama would be happy with her if it got broken like it had the last time she was careless with it.

"Oooh a tracking mission," Momiji said entusiaticlly, "It sounds like so much fun. I can use my nose to sniff them out and save us a lot of time!"
Momiji's attention then turned towards Chen who was talking on a strange device. Chen had given Kyouko a brief explaination about it. But Momiji was still curious about it. It was something new to her. And thus, she must also write down for the paper.
"Gosh, you guys are just full of super scoops," Momiji said as her tail wagged happily as she took down notes, "first things exploding, next humans gone missing and some strange otherworldly item that lets you talk to people over great distances! I am so excited to get this back to Aya-chan. She'll be so happy."

Chiyo watched quietly as Reimu spoke, her silvery tail swishing back and forth with the rhythm of the priestess' words. It was a pity that Reimu couldn't demonstrate spell cards but the little wolf wasn't going to complain. She was now full and refreshed and it was supposed to be her nap-time but she could easily skip over that for more urgent matters.
"Spell card designing? That sounds fun! Thank you for your help! I hope I'm not boring!!!"

The maid looked down rather distastefully at the napping youkai, Sakuya found her laziness displeasing... especially in front of Remelia-Sama of all people! The chief maid pulled out her glimmering daggers and with deadly precision, pinned each of Meiling's sleeves to the ground, alongside her skirt and lastly one in her hat.
Sakuya twirled the last one in her hand as she frowned at the lazy guard. She was reading to throw that one too, but ultimately deciding against it. Surely, finding oneself pined to the ground with daggers was enough. "Wake up youkai! How dare you sleep on your duty."

[Hong Meiling: Scarlet Devil Mansion Gate] Meiling didn't get startled awake. Oh, no, she just yawned and slowly opened her eyes, like the daggers weren't even there, and looked up at Sakuya. She even smiled at the maid. Of course, that was before it dawned on her wha the situation was. Three... Two... One... "SAKUYA-SAN!!!" Trying to jerk upright, only to be stuck to the ground, the flower youkai had a look of panic on her face as she looked to Sakuya. "I wasn't sleeping! Honest! I was just resting my eyes! Don't tell Remilia-sama! I...was...oh my..." Yep, she just noticed her mistress was there, too. "Remilia-sama! Oh no! I wasn't sleeping Remilia-sama! Honest! I really was just resting-no sharpening my hearing to hear potential invaders coming sooner! Yes, that's it! I was--" And Meiling went on like that, and would for five minutes unless someone decided to stop her talking.

Remilia didn't have time to listen to Meiling's excuses. Kyouko, and whatever hapless fools that moron might happen to draft, might be here at any second. She held up a single finger to Meiling's lips, silencing the gatekeeper as she grinned ominously.
"Meiling . . . very soon, it appears that we will have some 'guests' arriving. Remember that idiot girl Marisa's been taking care of recently? She's got it in her head that the humans have gone missing, and apparently she's headed this way. So, I'm gonna play a game with her!" Remilia pressed her fingertips together, positively exuberant. She didn't even seem to care that Meiling had been sleeping on the job.
"When that idiot, and whatever hapless unfortunates she's managed to draft arrive, I want you to loose on purpose and let them in the mansion. And 'let slip' that we were attacked by some shadowy youkai who overpowered you effortlessly and that you've been very worried or something. Just make stuff up. It doesn't need to be too convincing - that girl's pretty stupid. Anyway, we're all gonna go hide. If we can get her to think that we've all gone missing too," Remilia grinned deviously, "well, it's gonna be fun. I want to see if I can get them stuck in the underground!"

Reimu dismissed Chiyo's sort-of apology with a wave of her hand. "Eh, it's been a slow day - you're giving me something to do. Helping take my mind off things and all that."
She stood up and stretched, letting a very small smile form on her lips. Already she could feel herself entering 'Spell Card Mode'.
"So, let's start by seeing what you've got! I mean, what's your fighting style. I can't really help you design Spell Cards if I don't know how you fight." She started hovering again, just a few inches off the ground. It didn't really look too much like a ready stance, but Reimu was a very uncanny fighter. "The best way to get a feel for a fighter is for them to attack you so . . . come on!"

Kyouko blinked. "That box lets you talk with her from anywhere in Gensokyo?!" Kyouko was suddenly ecstatic. "I WANNA TRY! MAYBE I CAN GET A HOLD OF MARISA WITH IT!!! LEMME SEE IT!!" Kyouko put out her hand for Chen to put the phone in. "With that, maybe we can solve this whole incident easier!" She also nodded to Momiji "Thanks! That could be useful!"

[Hong Meiling: Scarlet Devil Mansion Gate] Meiling let the mistress hush her, and frowned at only one part of the plan. She had to lose on purpose and let them through? But that was just WRONG! Meiling was one who fought with honor, was straight forward in a fight! However, it was the orders of the mistress. "Yes, Remilia-sama. I will do this..." She frowned as she said this, slightly discouraged, and frowne even harder when she struggled to get up and her clothes tore. "...Can someone let me up, please?"
