It says, if it harms none, do what you want. It never says if it harms, don't do what you want. It never specifies at all what to do if it does harm, just that not harming is just fine. It's not a guaranteed reversible statement. That's like saying if it's not red, then it must be blue. It COULD be green, not blue. Or it could be purple or orange or white or any other color. It is, actually. The phrasing itself states that as long as you cause no harm, you can do what you want. Yes, that's all it states. It doesn't say anything about what happens if you cause harm.

Sounds like an insult to me. Please interpret her blatant insult differently.
Jai Maa Kali I will not just because you tell me to. She was blunt, yes, but the only "insult" I know of is the one you keep insisting is there, which I do not see Jai Kali Maa
So, if I were to take her exact wording and instead insist that you are not a real witch because you follow the wiccan rede, you would not be insulted?
Jai Maa Kali Even though I fail to see the relevance to that, I will say you can say what you want because it doesn't make it any more true than before.

I believe I can cast whatever spell I like, and I am a witch, nor do I follow the Wiccan rede. It's insulting to say that because I do not follow your guidelines (not following the wiccan rede) that it invalidates me as a witch.
Your "New Wicca" might follow that, but it's not a guideline for witches universally, and to say so is.. well, mean.

Rizu-sensei if you truly believe that witches can just willy-nilly cast whatever spells they want, then you either aren't a real witch, or you had a massive brain fart and forgot the whole bit about First of all, she suggested that Shion isn't a real witch, completely undermining her practices, and the beliefs related to those practices. That alone is insulting to anyone. Apparently, Shion isn't a real witch, because she doesn't do things a certain way. Second of all, she said 'massive brain fart'. She said that Shion 'had a massive brain fart'. A massive brain fart.

We're not talking about punishment, we're talking about the lack of saying what'd happen. Causing harm doesn't automatically result in punishment. The rede doesn't even suggest that. Besides that the wiccan rede isn't a governing body in the slightest. sweatdrop

Besides that the wiccan rede isn't a governing body in the slightest. sweatdrop but the law is the same way. There is no saying what will happen to a person who is being charged with any given crime.
