Rainieri, or Father Fang, smiled at the boy who stood behind the couch. He laughed and nodded his head slightly. "Hullo Alex, you seem a bit too young to be hanging around with century old vampires." He said and sat back, most of his face vanishing in the shadows. There was nothing but darkness behind him, no lights, no furniture, nothing. He sat forward again. "I'm sorry for my rudeness. I'm Rainieri: Father Fang. And again, I apologize, I do not give out my last name, only Victor and I know it." He said just as Victor shoved Emelia off his lap and glared at her.

This made Rainieri laugh again. His bright golden eyes were closed as he laughed. He was called Father Fang for a reason, his fangs were long, thick and shining white. He closed his mouth, giggling now. "Oh Victor." He laughed as he put his hand over his mouth.

Victor pushed his brown hair from his face. "Now, Victor you can't hide it from me, there's a reason you contacted me, and I know you don't want me over because every time I come back, you end up in bed with a sore back and a bleeding asshol-" "ENOUGH!" Victor interrupted him. His face was flushed, making Rainieri laugh.

"That's not the reason. There's been some rogue vampires here, attacking and killing humans, leaving them in the street. They're taking fang imprints. They're checking as much as they can, and there's alot more hunters prowling here." Victor said as he looked at the man, who's once joyous face turned serious.

Rainieri looked down, chewing on the inside of his cheek. "Hm..." He began and shifted. "I should come down there to see for myself." He set his chin in his hand. "Hm..." He said again and looked back up at them. He stared at Alex thought his monitor. His golden eyes intense as he stared at the teen, almost like he could see right through him, knowing all his secrets and desires. His golden eyes shifted to Victor who's green eyes looked away. "What's with that Victor?" He asked softly. "Don't want me to see something?" He asked, his eyes narrowing. "No." Victor whispered and glanced by. "I'll send you my address. Get here soon Father." He said then turned off the camera. The man let out a small sighed and typed out the address, sending it to him. Victor snapped the laptop shut, standing up and walked out to the back yard without a word to anybody.

Emelia looked worried and shifted where she now stood. "He's worried. Victor was hiding the fact that he attacked you from Father Fang. You both will be punished if he found out that he attacked you." She said and looked over to the door where Victor left through. She sighed and turned to Alex. "When he does get here Alex... don't say a word about what happened, don't think about it, don't bring it up, and don't be alone with him." She warned Alex as she looked at him, then looked down. "He thinks like the old ways Alex. Humans used to beg vampires to bite them, to feel the pleasure, so when he finds out that a vampire attacked a human, he blames the human as well, and he'll punish both." She warned Alex.

Victor sat on the back porch, staring down at the ground. He was worried. He knew that Rainieri would be at his home late into the night. Nobody really knew how, but Rainieri got around quickly in the night, but he did. He'd have to pull Alex aside and talk to him before Rainieri got there. And he only had a few hours. Victor stood back up and walked inside. "Alex I need to talk..." He began but saw that Emelia had it covered. He cleared his throat slightly and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting for her to finish.

"You can stay in them,' Victor said as he got off the wall and walked over to Alex. 'and don't call me Mr. Chase when he's here. He'll ask questions, and questions lead to answers which then brings out the skeletons." Victor looked around. "It's late... you should get to bed." Victor walked over to Alex and picked him up, refusing to let him walk on his own, still worried that he was a little weak. "And if he asks... you willingly let me bite you." He said as he walked into his bedroom and gently placed Alex onto the bed.

"Cover up, it's cold tonight." He said as he walked to the closet, turning on the light and getting undressed, dressing into more comfortable clothing. "I hope you don't mind that we share a bed." victor said as he turned off the light, dressed in a pair of pajama pants and nothing else. He pulled back the blankets on the other side of the bed and climbed in.

He couldn't sleep in another room, that would give Rainieri a chance to get close to Alex and peek into his memories. Victor laid close to Alex, his chest touching the teen's back. He draped one arm over Alex's waist being very protective.

Victor pushed his face into Alex's hair, taking a deep breath. It smelled good. The vampire opened his green eyes and looked down at the top of Alex's head. Victor sat up in bed, rubbing his face and hair. He could hear Emelia's voice chatting away, then a calm laugh. Rainieri was there. "Alex..." Victor gently shook the teen's shoulder. He got out of bed and headed downstairs.

"Victor!" Rainieri was almost instantly in his arms. The frightening man that Alex saw over the web came stood at a height of five feet and five inches. He was a small man. Victor smiled, hugging the man's thin waist. "Ah... no fair. Still tall as ever." Rainieri laughed once he was let go and set back down onto both his feet. "So where's the cute boy I saw?" He asked as he beamed up at Victor. "Sleeping. He's quite tired." Victor led Rainieri back into the kitchen where the small man was making the four of them breakfast.

Victor was hoping that that was going to be the only question asked about Alex. "So how do you know the boy?" Rainieri asked with a sly smile. s**t. Victor couldn't say that he was his teacher, Rainieri would get suspicious. "He's my lover." Victor lied as he looked into Rainieri's golden eyes, which held shock.

"Really?" He asked and laughed. "Such a young boy." He laughed again and shrugged. "Not that I can say anything about it." Rainieri turned back around and went back to making the french toast.

Victor whisked Alex away before Rainieri had the chance to turn around. He had to talk to him, to let him know what role he'd have to be playing. "Listen, I'm sorry to put you into this position, but... there was no other way to lead Rainieri off then to tell me that you're my lover. I'm so sorry Alex. Just for a while I need you to pretend. Please." Victor said as he looked into the other male's eyes.

"Victor?" Rainieri's voice came from the kitchen. "Please." Victor said as he looked back to Alex.

Victor thanked Alex and led him back into the kitchen. Rainieri was setting the plates of food down onto the table when the two came in. He smiled at the two, it quickly vanished when he saw Alex. He walked over to the teen and looked at him. The smile was back. "Wow!' Rainieri said amazed. 'You're tall for a teenager!" He laughed and looked Alex up and down. "I wish I was tall." Rainieri said and moved away. "Sit and eat." He said to Alex as he sat down. There was only one seat open, the one next to Victor.

Rainieri clapped his hands like a child in amazement. He began to eat. victor and Emelia just looked at their food. It was too early to eat. but it was respectful to eat since Rainieri was hungry and usually when a higher vampire came to a home, they made them food and ate with them, no matter the time. But Rainieri insisted that he make food.

Victor picked up the fork and slowly began to eat. "So,' Rainieri began and looked up at the two. 'how long have you two been together?" He asked with a smile. Victor looked at Alex, acting as if to think about it with him. "About three moths." Victor smiled as rubbed the back of Alex's neck. He wasn't going to try to make Alex too uncomfortable. "Well, you did say that you were sick of women." Rainieri laughed, unknowingly let a small hidden detail of Victor slip. Only Emelia and Rainieri knew that Victor was gay, and now Alex knew. It didn't help him any better. It just made Victor feel like a *****.

"You're welcome!" Rainieri said with a smile. Victor ate it quickly and glanced to Alex kind of a rushing glance. He didn't want to stay there for too long. He wanted to go back to bed as well, he was done, but he couldn't leave Alex there with Rainieri. Victor hated to do so, but it was safer. "Thank you Rainieri, but we must be getting back to bed." He said and rubbed Alex's shoulders, leading him back to his room. Once in and the door closed he looked back at Alex. "Sorry about that." He mumbled and got back into bed.

He moved the covers back for Alex. Once he was in, he covered them back up and draped his arm over Alex's waist again. Victor quickly fell asleep, holding Alex close.

Rainieri and Emelia's voice were audible from Victor's room, but only were a faint mumble. Two downstairs doors opened and closed. Rainieri and Emelia went to their own rooms, back to bed.

Victor was cuddled close to Alex, holding him close to him, his face in the teen's ear. He was attracted to the human's warmth. His own body, cold as ice at times. It wasn't often that he got a chance to sleep next to a human and take his warmth. Victor rubbed his face into Alex's hair, taking a deep breath. His green eyes flew open at the smell. He peeled himself away from Alex slightly and sighed. He had a good night's sleep. Victor was out of bed and dressed, already downstairs, letting Alex sleep longer.

He opened the guest bedroom door and looked in seeing Rainieri still sleeping. Victor's mind wandered to how Rainieri was going to get around in the sun since he didn't take the pills. He closed the door and headed for the cupboard where he kept a few boxes of the pills and took a few so he was able to go outside and grab the mail from yesterday.

"Great." He mumbled and stared at a letter from the school. Opening it, he read over that he'd have to go to the school today to explain his ruined car. He'd have to wipe a few memories. That took alot out of him. Victor grabbed a cup of coffee and headed upstairs, back to the room, sitting on the edge of the bed. He set the mug on the night stand table and ran his hand through Alex's hair. He wanted to wake him, then again, he didn't. Alex looked peaceful sleeping... in his shirt, in his bed, under his covers. Victor sighed to hismelf.
