"Oh." He still wasn't quite used to the heirarchy of this place. He's not been raised as a Geisha per say. His mother had been one, and the mistress of a well off 'shogun'. His rank had been mostly title only, nothing to do with real power. He watched as his mother had thought the man's daughters from his previous marriage the art, and had practiced the lessons in private. He didn't know about the inner workings of an okiya, or the system used by girls training beyond the hobby his mother had made up for the girls. "Will you be staying with us here at the inn, or returning to your okiya?" He had a bit of trouble remembering which maids were off the inn and which were not. The ones assigned here often left not long after to be promoted or some such.
He'd taken not of the use of the word 'madam'. The shop keeper earlier had said it too. He supposed he must look feminine enough, but also that it was probably easier to think of him as a woman. It was a tradition after all. Sighing softly, he let his slender shoulders droop, looking for all the world concerned about the man in the room beyond, and letting the silk of the slightly oversized kimono slip low on his arm, exposing enough of his chest for it to be noticed he had no breasts. He bought his kimonos large enough that this would work because he'd taken a lot of time to perfect this move as a form of both subtle proof, and in some cases, provacative teasing.
He left it hanging for a moment, giving time for her to take notice and know, before seemingly remembering himself, and pulling it back up. "Oh dear.. I really should find someone to make these things fit better." He looked down at the young maid, hoping he'd not shocked her too much. "I am Hitori. I am the inn's resident geisha. If anyone asks about this man, tell them he's in my care here." With that he made his way in to check on the injured man, knowing one of the inns ever curious maids would be watching, and know to come help his guest. The one good thing about being different from the other local geisha was that the maids, once knowing, were always watching, and in some cases, eager to be of assistance.

Noriko stood there, listening to the Geisha. Her eyes widened, as she noticed that she was a man... The make-up was very well done, his hair was flawless, and he seemed to even have the mannerisms of one.
"I was hopping to gain a possition here, seeing that it is, for the moment, quiet. At the okiya where I was at, there was an over abundance of maids, and not so many Geisha or Maiko to look after the maids. Seeing that I'm a gaijan, I can never become a Geisha; my eyes are too round, my hair to red, and I am too curvey. So, with nothing to do there, I am here for your service, should the occasion ever arrise."
She followed the Geisha into the sick man's room, and awaited her first order.

"You are more than welcome here. I'm sure if the local okiya would like it very much, but I will talk to them about you being allowed to continue on and learn to be a geisha. While the arts and costumes are traditional here at the inn, the entertainers that call it home are... not so typical. I for one think it would be easy enough for you to entertain provided you took to your lessons properly. Hair can be died, and make can change the shape of the eyes if you want to look like the others. Curves can be made or hidden easily enough. If you become a maiko, and wish to look like the other's I will help, but I think it would be nice to stir things up a bit."
He knelt by the guest, making adjustments to the little coushins on the mats to make him more comfortable. "If you want to start here now, I'd suggest asking one of the other maids to help you find what is needed for this man's care. Tell one of them that Hitori wishes them to fetch a doctor. Once he's been looked to we'll move him into one of the rooms upstairs."

A dark hooded figure appeared through the doorway to the inn. Steeping inside, the figure placed a wooden sword on the recpetionist desk, with a message attached to the hilt. "Deliver this to the friend of the man called 'Neno'. Her name, is 'Amaya'." the raspy voice said, and turned t oleave the inn. The note attached to the hilt has the following message: - Come to the Arena, if you still seek what you wanted a week ago. I will be waiting. ~Solice Uzumaki -

Noriko became very hopeful of her new possition. "Thank you so much, Hitori! You have no idea how happy this makes me feel!" She leaned close to him, gave him a big hug with a kiss on the cheek, then skipped down the hallway just like a little school girl.
As she reached the front desk, fear gripped her heart. A man stood there, with a wooden sword in his hand. He didn't seem to be the kind of decent person that a young lady would be talking to. His voice was harsh and cold. She could not see his face, nor did she care to. The skin on the back of her neck crawled sending shivers down her spine.
"I will make sure she get's the message, sir." Her voice was shaky and her hands were cold with fear. Then, the man left her to herself. What am I getting myself into she asked herself.
She walked into the kitchen to see if anyone was around to give Hitori's message.

Nobody seemed to be in the kitchen. Nobody seemed to be in the sitting room. Nobody was anywhere. The dishes that she washed still needed to be put away, and she did that quickly, swept into every cravace and nook on the floor until it glistened. The inn looked and smelled clean. She walked out side, and found flowersthat smelled of the spring rains, cut off a few ripe ones, took them inside, up the stairs into the sick man's room.
"I thought that since there's nothing happening, I could pick these, and make the room seem a little bit cheery." She waited in the doorway, waiting to be invited in by the Geisha. "Also," she continued. "A man gave me this note, and I am unable to find this person. What should I do?"

Hitori turned looking to the maid. He nodded and gave her a small smile. "I'm sure our guest would be pleased to the colors of spring when he awakens." He motioned to an empty teapot on the table from his earlier engagement of this room. Quietly he check the man for a fever, and felt for his breathing. He stood quietly, and walked to the door, turning to the maid. "Wait here with him. I'll go see about getting some supplies to clean him up with, and then one of us can go look for a doctor." He headed quietly to the supply room to gather some bandaging, antiseptics, and cloth for cleaning the wounds, then headed to the kitchen to heat some water. Once it was warm enough to clean sufficiently, but not hot enough to burn, he took up a large bowl and put everything in it, heading back to the room.
He knelt again, placing the bowl on the floor beside him and removing the things from it before pouring the water into it and wetting a piece of cloth to clean the man's face with gently. With equal patience and gentility, the geisha carefully cleaned all of the exposed skin before opening the man's top to clean this torso and upper body, lifting him just as carefully to clean his back as well. All the while, Hitori made a count of the wounds and their locations for later.
Once he'd cleaned all that modesty would allow, he looked to the maid. "Noriko, would you mind going for a doctor? I am about to clean his legs, and for both your sakes, you probably shouldn't be about. Leave your note on the table, and we will figure it out later." He repositioned himself by the man's legs, and waited for the maid to leave. He wasn't sure how much of a man she'd seen before, but he was fairly sure their injured guest wouldn't want anyone to see him with his pants down so to speak, unless it were nessecary. Once she was gone, he gently worked the man's clothing off him, leaving only his cloth over his private areas, and began to clean his legs and hips with the warm cloth quickly, but painlessly as possible.
He then went back over each wound with the anticeptic, covering and binding the more urgent ones the best he could before closing the door to the room and going to find one of his sleeping robes to put on the man until the doctor could look him over. He returned quickly before anyone else would be able to enter the room, and carefully lifted the injured man enough to dress him in the robe, tying it in front with a grimace. He hoped the man wouldn't be insulted to be in his robe. He took away the man's clothes, leaving the door open just enough to keep an eye on him from the hall, and he called for a maid to take the clothes to be cleaned and mended.

((I'm sorry; I've been working on papers and reading novels for school. Hope all is well with you!))
"Thank you, Hitori-san. I'll be right back." The young maid left the inn, and out into the real world, to find the doctor. She wandered near and far, but could not find him. No, that was wrong. She went to the doctor's office, but he was not there, but the girl at the front desk said that he was doing a house visit outside of town, in a small village. So, she picked up her skirt, and headed out of town to find the doctor. Unfortunately, she became lost, and noticed the urgency of getting back when it began to get dark out. The far off lights of the town glistened at first, just a few, then more and more, until there was an ethereal glow making it look like Heaven.
The sun had long since set by the time she got back to the inn, tired, dirty, and all around worn out. "I'm sorry, Hitori-san. I tried to find him, but I was not successful in my quest. I'll put some tea on, and begin the preperations for dinner." She bowed, and went into the kitchen, discouraged and disappointed in herself.

Kaida entered the inn and check Keiji into a room. She helped him into a room and pulled the blankets back for him. Kaida helped him into the bed at covered him up. She sat on the side of the bed, studying his sleeping face.

Keiji smiled as his plan worked. He reached a hand up and placed it on Kaida's cheek. "Thank you," he smiled. He stared into her eyes, smiling the entire time. A few moments pasted and he added. "I believe... you are the one for me..."

Kaida blushed as his hand touched her cheek. Her heart melted as he said what he did. "I... I think I love you too..." she smiled. Kaida placed a hand ontop of his and squeezed it. She smiled lovinging into his eyes. "My whole life had led up to this moment... and yet I had no idea it would really happen," Kaida smiled. She sighed and brushed hair from Keiji's face. "We know so little about eachother, but I think I'm in love," she giggled.

"I always said I'd know when I found 'the one' for me," Keiji smiled. He stroked her cheek with his thumb. "I felt it with you the moment I saw you," he smiled. "There's only one way to know for sure," he smiled. He gently pulled her down and kissed her on the lips.
