Joshua ran like hell was chasing him... and when he looked behind him it seemed like it was.
He ran faster, seeing the backs of Ahili, Ephraim and someone he didn't recognize, not daring shout to them for fear that the great beast behind him would notice. He would not feel safe until that thing was outside the tower and he was inside.
But wouldn't that just be a classic case of out of the frying-pan and into the fire? To Joshua that didn't matter right now, all he knew was that being in the frying pan really sucked. The others could take care of that thing (hopefully) for now he had to focus on his mission.
Save the little girl.
Audhulma was in his hand and the Ice Blade filled him with a cool confidence. So what if some huge a** monster was behind him, if the others couldn't kill it. Well it'd be there for him to kill when he came back out. For now,
Save the little girl.
He'd just have to follow Ahili's back.
He ran for the tower.

Crackles and booms echoed through the small area that Rei quartered off for himself. The gargoyles that impacted soon recoiled in pain, and left Rei's field of vision. The moment they broke through the barrier, they were repelled, sent back charred and mangled. The shrieks of the creatures and the roaring of the flames muffled all but his own thoughts, and even those were hard to hear.
Finally, the flames began to flicker. Blink. Blink. Blinkblinkblink... And they had shrunk back to their original size. A split second later, they faded into nothingness as the spell ended. Rei gave quick glances to both sides of his body. He'd made it far enough from the monsters that he couldn't see any, but, it was odd. There was nothing but the echoing howls of vanquished foes.
Rei looked behind him to check for any leftover foes that could get a sneak attack. Everyone was still in good shape, it seemed, save one girl near what looked to be a wyvern. She was on the ground. Rei cringed. He wanted to go back, to check and make sure the girl was okay, he really did. But, his scholarly instincts overpowered him as he turned from the group. Silently, the Druid prayed that someone would have an Elixir, a Vulnerary, something...
All shouts and calls were shoved aside as Rei stood in awe of the monstrosity before him. Grotesque beyond words, the Druid frantically began an attempt at an advance. Magic users were very swift in the desert, especially compared to the typical soldier. Just as he as about to move, a jet of flame shot from behind him, and slammed right into the monster. Rei smirked as the thought of Hikaru char-broiling the thing came to mind. It gave him an opening, after all.
Rei ignored the monster, and broke into a run in an arc around it. If he ran right into it, that would be inviting death! And if he was off to the side, it might not notice him. He was small, and it was big, after all. Plus, he was smart, and it didn't seem quite so smart. Gradually, Rei got closer and closer and closer to the trio that was moving en route to the tower...

After what seemed an eternity of stabbing this monster and that, they all finally... well, fused into a bigger one. And then a freaking Fire Dragon (was it on their side? It probably was. It roasted the monster, after all, not anybody else) appeared and seemed to sear it into confusion. The fight wouldn't last long. Was this diversion of theirs it? At this rate, it would be hard NOT to go into the tower. But then again, a pegasus and two wyverns certainly couldn't fit into...
She blinked, and looked around.
I see Captain Vaida's wyvern, and I see an unfamiliar white one with... maybe two people on it? But where is... ...!!
She saw it: Mihira's wyvern, far behind and below her, down on the ground.
"No! Not good! Not good!"
Any time a wyvern was on the ground like that, it meant one of two things: It was either getting ready for takeoff, or its rider was badly injured. The wyvern, in a display of true loyalty, was guarding the fallen Mihira closely; it would likely do so to the death.
"Come on, Aph, we're doing nothing up here. Let's get her to safety before more monsters show up!"
Aphrodite turned at Charice's light tug on the reins, making an about-face and soaring down towards ground level. Charice put away her weapons; wyverns could be VERY fierce when defending a fallen rider, and were generally more inclined to tear someone's head off first and ask questions later. She made sure to slow down as she got within the wyvern's eyesight, moving steadily down to the sands.
The Falcoknight dismounted and slowly walked over to Mihira, showing both hands to her wyvern to show she was unarmed. Such loyalty to a rider, and she's only a wyvern knight... she's got potential, she thought to herself as she came closer. A lance in her shoulder... it looks bad. I can't remove this. I need to get her to the rear, and find a healer.
Charice still had to lift her, that being the most difficult part, given all the armor and the rider's own near-unconsciousness, not to mention the wyvern's own concern--she'd nearly stumbled once carrying her back to her pegasus, and could feel the wyvern's breath down her neck for a moment thereafter. But at that point, Aphrodite came the rest of the way, kneeling down so Mihira could be easily placed on her back. Once they were both mounted, Charice with one arm securely around Mihira's waist to keep her from slipping, she said, "Okay, Aph. Head for the rear. There must be someone back there who can help us."

Oh wow...all of what had gone on made Ziaram a little late in getting towards the tower...now there were some creatures blocking his path...what was worse was the fact that his light brand was running out of power, so he had to now resort to his killing edge...figuring a blunt path would be his best way to get to the tower, he made a mad dash for it, to catch up with the group. I am not about to be left behind, or die here.

Looking to the sky, Aruna spotted a white pegasus soaring in her general direction. There were two riders; one was steering the winged horse, the other sat slightly limp. As they landed nearby the nagini noticed a spear lodged in the wyvern knight’s shoulder. Time to be useful.
Her bottles of elixirs and medicines would definitely come in handy now. Pulling them out of the bag at her side, the scaled woman held them in one arm as she traveled to Ganon’s belongings. Aruna dug through the bard’s pack for the bandages he mentioned earlier. After finding them, she took off her cloth hood and wrapped it around her bag. Hopefully the knight’s blood wouldn’t stain the makeshift pillow too much.
“Lay her down here,” she ordered to Charice. Once the falcoknight had done so, Aruna propped Mihira’s neck and head against her substitute cushion. She then removed some of the girl’s armor(the shoulder armor and maybe her breastplate if it was in the way) so it would be easier to address her injuries.
Now to begin treating that stab wound. First, the female naga soaked a strip of fabric with water in order to clean the blood and sand around the weapon’s tip. Next she poured a few ounces of elixir on the wound just to seal a small portion of wound. This would make removing the spear from the wyvern rider’s shoulder less messy. Pulling it out without stopping some blood flow would surely kill her. Aruna signaled a nearby soldier to help free the weapon from flesh. “This is going to hurt quite a bit. Please try to bear it,” she whispered to Mihira regardless of whether she was conscious at the time or not. The snake woman readied herself as she nodded to the generic soldier.
With a forceful heave he yanked the spear out. Quickly Aruna applied pressure to the wound with an elixir drenched bandage. Tissue slowly began mend below the material.

Shastah wove through the air, sweeping around the tower swiftly with wings spread wide to catch as much air as they could while he banked hard, straining to keep from being blown off-course by the powerful desert wind.
Siegell slowly lifted his tomahawk, giving it a careful test shake, then nodded, reaching up and twisting the non-adhered half of the orb. Deep within the swirling blue gas inside, a deep red glow emanated, turning the entire inside of the mine an eerie violet. "Okay, got it!" he shouted over the roar of the wind. "Back toward the tower! Bliss, fire the signal!"
As a beam of light shot into the air and exploded over head, Siegell suddenly stood up in the saddle, holding the tomahawk over his head. He pulled his arm back, then whipped it forward with his entire upper body, releasing the axe and watching it spin through the air.
The axe and mine struck the wall of the tower and began to fall toward the ground, where it buried itself in the sand.
"... ********. Peel away, wait for another chance to get in. Shastah, take us down and find Baldric." The wyvern shot up and turned, whipping away toward the dunes, seeking out the red lion.

((Oy. What happen to those who are staying to fight? ._.; ))
Isadora marched forward as she watched FD burned their target with his flame. She could feel the heat of the flame as she galloped. She was thankful that she was not in front of the dragon or else she would be charbroiled with the beast.
When the monster stood up, Isadora stopped her horse and gripped her spear. She wanted to see what sort of power did the monster have. There was no telling what could the monster do. She saw one of its heads attacked another head while the rest looked at its limbs, groaning. Was the monster dazed from FD's attack? It was hard to tell. However, seeing one of the heads attacked another gave her an idea.
"All fliers!" Isadora shouted. "Fly around that beast's heads and confuse it as much as you can! All long ranged units, attacks the heads! Those on foot, let's bring down the beast!!"
The paladin snapped her reins as Tuomas stood on his hind legs and neighed. Isadora then charged toward the monster. The battalions let out a volley of arrows and magic at the monster's heads, trying to pierce its eyes and the faces.
When the paladin was near the monster, she thrusted her spear at the one of the monsters' ankles, giving it a glaze. Isadora somehow wished that they had brought ropes with them to tie the monster up. As the wise people said, the bigger they were, the harder they fell. It would be easier and faster to bring the monster down by making it trip. However, it seemed that they had to chop down the monster's support before it would fell.
Isadora turned her horse around and gave another charge. She twirled her spear before gave a critical slash at the same ankle again, cutting it one-fourth through the limb. Before the paladin could turn her horse around and charge, she heard an explosion.
The paladin looked around to see where the noise come from. She noticed something was falling down from the tower. Looking up, she saw the smoke coming from the tower. Did it cause so much damage? The paladin was unsure. However, she hoped that Amara and Blossom was not in the same area where that explosion came from. It would be devastated if they found them dead from the explosion. At the same time, she saw a white figure flying in the sky. White, bat-like wings...... It was a wyvern.
"What?" Isadora said confusingly. She didn't remember any Guards having a white wyvern nor did she know any members with it. However, she had no time to figure out who was the wyvern rider. Right now, they had a mission to do so. The only obstacle was that beast. Isadora clicked her heels at the stirrups as she charged again.

A gargantuan lion sat, leisurely at the top of a dune. He could see so much of the carnage down below him, and it took all his might to restrain himself from joining in. As wonderfully splendid as it may have been, he had his orders. Sure, he didn't want to follow those orders, but it gave him something to do, and that was all that mattered.
He arched his neck upwards, towards the sky, watching the small white mass fly closer and closer to the foreign black tower. The lion focused his eyes at a small, shiny thing moving through the air. Whatever it was, it must have been very important, if the Wyvern Lord just threw it at the tower like that.
And that was why Baldric was glad that he wasn't a beorc. They became so dependent on their weapons, and not as much on their own abilities. If he didn't know any better, then he'd have said that whatever was thrown at the tower must have been a byproduct of the man's anger. But, he knew as well as the girl sitting casually on his back did. Siegell wasn't exactly a man to underestimate in any sense. The lion knew this firsthand, after seeing his handiwork in that little contest. Siegell seemed as in tune with his spear as the Lion was with his claws, something he hardly ever saw in beorc.
But, he couldn't help but laugh as he saw the white mass return to him, exactly as it was before. The girl with one arm, the poor thing, was still aboard, so the shine wasn't her falling and casting a spell, luckily. Maybe he'd take her for a ride one day, see if she'd be much safer on the ground than in the air.
With a shake of his mane, Baldric stopped his leisurely laying about and stood, each claw beginning to dig into the sand. The now normal extra weight of Scar placing herself on his back was placed, and he was primed for whatever would come next. As the wyvern got close enough for the riders to be within earshot, the lion began to speak. Well, as well as a lion could, at least. "So, do you want us to get whatever you threw, or would you rather just set me loose at the weaklings down there?"

Charles stopped for a second, taken by the form of the... concocted creature. He stopped punching other monsters, but they evaporated to sand anyway, going to the new, big man on campus. Charles didn't mind the moans, screeches, shrieks and other various noises, he was captivated. Until it started to burn, that is.
"Aww, do we have to kill it? Sure it seems violent, ruthless... But we can't keep it as a guard dog or something?" Charles said to no one. His fists conjoined and rings of yellow bound them further together. He hadn't attempted this spell, yet, but he had high hopes. The yellow turned to red, gradating from an orange and similar hues, and his arms fell to the sand. "..." He was going to lunge downward, but that did it for him, just in a bad way.
Gradually, his spell took effect, enchanting the sky to a purple; shooting down a sliver or gold to the mutated Cerberus. Thus, it landed on the beast's head. Now for the fun part.
It burned. Smoke rose. It smelt horrible, the burning of flesh, hair, and muscle. The speck now unseen exploded into a surplus of bright spikes, impaling the beast's top side. No doubt it would feel that in the morning.
The spikes faded off, and glinted away. His spell finished, but Charles was in disrepair. His forearms had fallen off. The sand parted for his body, now sitting, trying to piece himself back together. His joints didn't pop into place, and he thought this might be a foolish mistake. Perhaps I should stick to lesser magic if I get another chance... I've been using my arms a lot, and didn't know what the limit was.
How useless he was to them, now. Maybe a cleric could provide help.

The sudden hail of steel kisses and sorcery seemed to slow the beast, who had been in the middle of its charge at the powerful Fire Dragon. One leg succumbed underneath the mass by Isadora's attack and the abomination suddenly heaved to that side, dumbstruck by a lack of support on that side, but the other functioning limbs served to catch the monster's massive body and keep it upright. The various heads screamed their many screams and snapped at those who dared to approach.
Even so, the tactic would prove useful in confusing the chimerical creation. And it only helped that Charles put in his own two cents; when a sliver came down upon what seemed to be the monster's leading head, the entire creation halted as though mesmerized, and then an explosion of spikes made that head shriek in pain while the magic ate away at the hair and flesh. The rest followed suit in another chorus of wails and protest.
At the same time, the obsidian tower trembled furiously and an ear-piercing, bloodletting SCREEEEEEECH sprung from deep within the foundation, as though the building itself was furious with being assaulted by a mine. While there did not appear to be any obvious damage to the wall, particles mingled with the smoke that emanated from the location of impact. The onyx spire settled to stillness once the disembodied screech had faded off.
The Spawn chimera was notably enraged. Once blinded with pain, all the heads seemed to realize that they wished utter annihilation upon those who would bring to it bodily agony, never mind how much misery it was already in after being deformed and contorted like this. Normally it was very difficult to manage such an amount of limbs because of how many processes the nervous system would have to undertake. But the abomination's many minds seemed to pool their collective consciences into one intention, granting the beast sudden fluency with its new, mangled body.
The massive figure swung its entire body around, lashing with all of its three tails. What seemed most dangerous was the bladed tail — that one that looked like it had a serrated Bael's leg sticking out of the tip. The bladed tail scythed across the sands while the monster's extra limbs and flapping wing swatted at those who tried to approach from the air, a few heads showing their teeth and gnashing them together.

Their plan seemed to be working. The monster was about to meet its fall. Isadora could hear the horrible screening sound as she turned her horse around and charged for the umpteenth time.
She had already sliced one leg off. Now to slice the others. But when she was headed back, she saw the monster swung its body......
.... And three bladed tails was swinging toward her direction!
Not wanted to be cut in half, Isadora pulled the rein to stop Tuomas before turning and tried to outrun. Usually, she would be quick enough to be out of danger, but due to the terrain, it was difficult for the paladin to outrun.
Isadora looked back and saw the tail was coming. She looked back and continued to ride forward, heading in the area near Fire Dragon. Just as she thought she was safe, the paladin felt her horse neighed while falling. Did the beast caught her horse? Or did Tuomas trip?
Isadora has no time to find out what happened. All she knew was that she fell. And as she fell to the sandy flood, she quickly placed the shield over her to protect herself from the bladed tails. The question was did it went over her and her fallen horse?

The barrage of attacks people had made against the chimera-monster-thing were certainly hurting it, anyone could see. But their foe looked to have a higher, more vicious level of dedication in fighting back as a result, almost flailing its appendages theateningly as weapons. This made it awkward to approach the thing without risking taking an attack - which made long range attacks all the more valuable.
The beast had been charging for FD before being struck down by it's own awkward existance followed by the onslaught of attacks from others. But since it had stopped advancing, the Fire Dragon figured he might as well launch another attack at the beast. But since his original Flametongue attack on the monster, others had joined the fray, and it do no good to hit an ally with Flametongue - that would be VERY catastrophic, actually. So he'd give out a warning to anyone nearby, first.
FD moved himself closer to the monster, sinking his claws into the sand once again, and swung his head back and forth, unleashing a tremendous roar for all to hear. "Get out of the way if you know what's good for you," he was saying, not that anyone sans Ninian would understand. After the roar, he was readying his next attack, "chargin' his lazors" so to speak.

Siegell shook his head at Baldric as Shastah landed. "No. Right now, our goals are the same, more or less, as theirs. Or at least, we can accomplish it the same way. I couldn't get inside, so it's time to lure Razevi into the open. The Baroness wants her mask. Aim to kill when she comes out, but make sure you get the damn mask and get out before the others do."
He glanced at Baldric and Scar, reaching for his glaive. "Bliss will stay with me as your air support. Help the guild fight that beast as you can, they're unbelievably trusting. They will not attack you as long as you don't attack them. But if you get the mask... kill any of them that get in your way."
He leaned back and Shastah reared, spreading his wings-- Siegell, as always, did not rely on or even use reins, instead allowing his mount to feel the subtle directions as the rider thought them. "Now, go! Scar, protect Baldric from mages, Baldric, keep swords away from Scar, and kick as much a** as possible between yourselves!" Shastah's wings beat hard, and then the wyvern pushed off with his hind legs and shot into the air, sweeping toward the beast. Siegell slowly circled above the fire dragon, though, letting Bliss fire shots at the beast while he waited until after the flametongue to make his move. No sense flying into the fire when he could stay comfortably in the frying pan.

As FD was near finished preparing his next Flametongue, he happened to see Isadora on the ground, off of her mount, between himself and their foe - not at all the best place to be. But FD wouldn't be able to cancel the attack at this point. he'd simply have to accomidate Isadora in the attack. Gripping his claws into the sand, he fired the Flametongue straight ahead, shaping it's expansion so that it was fairly streamlined, expanding more upward than downward. The main target was the monster's many faces. The flames would flare out as they typically did, but the attack was far enough off the ground that the unmounted Paladin wouldn't be harmed by the attack. She'd really be feeling the heat, but not directly harmed. Unlike the chimera thing.

The paladin waited for the crushing and slicing blow of the monster. She knew she did not have the time to see if her mount was already and try to get back on. Not even having enough time to escape from the whipping tails. The only instinct she had was to take cover.
However, the blow didn't came. Instead, she felt the temperature rose up again. Why weren't the tails whipping?
Curious to know what was going on, Isadora peeked her head out from her only protection. She saw something bright so she had to squint her eyes to get a better look. Flying above her was the massive amount of fire, aiming at the beast's faces. So it was Fire Dragon who stopped the beast's attack. She would have to thank him later for saving her life after this.
Isadora quickly pulled herself up and went to her horse to see if he was damaged or not. Tuomas nuzzled in her arms as the paladin checked for any injury. There was no cut on the side. That was good. What about the legs. She quickly checked one leg to another. There was no time to check it thoroughly when there was a beast nearby. Thinking that her horse was alright, Isadora quickly saddled back and snapped the reins. Heading toward the direction where Ninian was at.
"That was close," Isadora muttered as she slowed her horse and looked back at the beast. It was now becoming too dangerous for the paladin to go back and attack. With the limbs moving everywhere and the tails to stop close ranged attacks, it was useless for those with melee. Only FD's attacks and long ranged attacks could slow down the beast.
"I don't know how long we can keep up," Isadora spoke to Ninian. "However, we need to find a way to kill it."
