→→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← A few hours after the sun rose Raiel began to stir. His body still ached, but not as much as before. Slowly he began to shift, wincing every so often as a pain shot through his chest. More than one of his ribs were broken and it was going to take some time to heal. Looking about, he scanned the area for Raith before reaching out with his mind. When he found her his slight panic eased and he just enjoyed the touch of her mind.
Running doesn't stop the pain,

 A purr-like sound erupted from her mind when she felt Raiel in her mind, the dragon looking out for anything that moved. Seeing a stag ahead of her about three hundred yards, she tucked her wings in half way to increase her speed. She was silent as she flew, closing the distance between her and her prey. The stag looked up, its eyes wide as if caught in the spotlight. There, it saw in the middle of the bright blue sky, Raith diving down straight for it. The stag tried to run, tried to escape Raith's sharp talons but it was too slow. She caught the beast, swooped up by lifting her head to the sky and flew back to her mate.
Breaking the neck with a simple twist of her forepaws, Raith slowed her speed, circled round her mate and dropped the stag from about a hundred feet above, having it land beside him. Flying off a short distance, she lowered steadily till she hit the earth softly, then walked back over to Raiel, remaining in her eastern dragon form, her dark mane glistening in the sun. She shook her head, ruffling it so it may settle correctly against her.

→→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]!→®ÅíεL← You should eat it. Raiel said looking over at his mate, shifting his weight slightly with a small wince. He was determined not to let his pain get the best of him. It was he who should be taking care of Raith after her abduction not the other way around.

 Raith shook her head and growled softly, 'Please..just eat it. I'm still full from last night.' she spoke softly and began to walk off to the lake, 'I'll be back later. I'mma go take a bath.' she spoke to him before her huge form myseriously disappearing in between the trees.
Shifting back to her form when she reached the lake, she looked down and saw her reflection... Raith hated the way she looked. She looked wretched and it pissed her off.
If there was one thing that she could control about herself, it was her appearance. She wasn't narcistic or anything like that, but rather it gave her some peace of mind when she could control something about herself.
Splashing the water to rid her reflection from her sight, the girl pulled out her sharp dagger on her belt and took her hair in a fist-hold. Cutting just above her shoulder an inch, she watched it all drop to the water. Fishing it all out, she set it on the rocks before going into the forest and finding the appropriate plants. Returning with black flowers, she tore off the petals and worked them with stones, adding water occasionally till it became a thick paste. Raith had done this before to get the purple in her hair. It acted like a dye. Lathering it through her bangs, then sat back for a good ten or so minutes, she watched the small waterfall across the way.
The ten minutes seemed to have flown by and soon it turned around to twenty. Before Raith knew it, she had the dye-like-paste in her hair for what seemed too long. Scrambling to her feet, she went to the water's edge and carefully washed it out. Looking at what she could after cutting her bangs earlier, it seemed pretty good.
A smile of satisfaction crossed her face as she stood on her feet, stripped off her clothes and waded into the water, going further and further out.

→→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]!→®ÅíεL← After Raith left, Raiel wasted no time in devouring the food she had brought him. He was starved and tired and in a matter of a few minutes it was gone. After eating he felt a bit stronger, although his body ached terribly. Carefully he got to his feet, heading after Raith. Reaching out with his mind he thanked her for the meal and let her know he was moving, he didn't let her feel what he did like normal. Usually she had access to every feeling, every thought, every desire. But while he was hurt he didn't want her to worry and kept his pain from her.

Raith could feel the earth tremble under every step Raiel made. She could tell that he was coming towards her. But, well, because she had limited access to his mind, Raith didn't know if he was okay or not.. She hoped so. And she hoped that even if he looked physically fine that he wasn't emotionally scarred.
Crawling up the rocks expertly, she sat behind the waterfall, holding her folded legs tightly to her chest to conceal her nude body. Her oceanic blue eyes peered through the cascading water as she soon saw Raiel's black body come to the shadow of the trees. She smiled softly and rested her chin on her knees, hugging her legs tighter to her, 'Hey love..' she spoke softly into his mind.

 Gathering up all the energy he could Raiel shifted to his human form and slipped into the water, not bothering to remove his clothes. Hey was all he replied before letting himself sink beneath the water. It eased his aching body as he let himself float back to the surface. how are you? he finally asked Raith, knowing she was behind the falls but not bothering to look

She closed her eyes and laid her head softly on her knees, 'Eh...tired...' she spoke softly, keeping her mind completely open for him to read. She's closed it off to him before and hated not feeling him in every reach of her mind. Feeling him through their bond gave Raith so much comfort that it was overwhelming to her.
[okay, this'll be as bad as it gets. I'll be better...sorry!]

Raiel relaxed more, extending his reach into her mind, brushing against her thoughts and feelings with his own, like a cat rubbing against your leg, in the process he opened his mind up completely to her, hating having to keep her out, but hoped she wouldn't be overwhelmed by the pain and longing he felt for her all of his emotions buzzed in a nonstop whirlwind of worry and frustration. He sighed heavily as he floated there, with his eyes closed.

Raith was a bit overwhelmed by the near sudden wave of emotions that weren't her own. It took her a few minutes to realize, as soon as she had grown partly accustom to them all, that they were Raiel's and that he had opened up to her. She smiled partly, in thanks of his trust for her to not overreact like how she tended to.
Feeling the worry he had, and hearing the heavy sigh, she slowly and silently got off of the rock and slowly sunk under the water. Swimming over to him, she came up just a shy of a hair away and kissed his forehead. 'Why so much pain Raiel?' she asked softly but kept her soft blue eyes down on his bit of a peaceful face.

the corner of Raiel's lips twitched slightly as he felt Raith's lips touch his skin, as if he were going to smile, but it didn't grow past that slight movement. "I failed you.." He said furrowing his eyebrows slightly with his eyes still closed, too ashamed to look Raith in the face still as he floated there

A soft smile played her lips like a marionette. Shaking her head ever so softly, Raith never lifted her blue eyes from his now troubled face, "No..you didn't. Raiel, think about it. Had this not have happened, what would've? Sure, I wouldn't have gotten hurt and sure, all the trouble that you went through and the fear and pain and hatred and sorrow that you had to experience would've never happened. But also know that now that it did, it's just another hurdle that we have to overcome. You never failed me once.
You can't protect me like a china doll my love. I'm too stubborn and you know that. But, when I do get hurt, you can be there to take care of me and help me heal." she ended her words with another kiss on his forehead before leaving him to go to shore.
Once stepping on the small pebbles and soil and a tad of sand that sprinkled in the mix, she dressed and sat down on a rock, watching Raiel, 'You need for forgive yourself.' she whispered in his mind.
