Lyre's ears began to twitch. She took a deep breath, stepping backwards a few feet from the table.
She then lifted a whistle from out of the top of her dress, as it had hung there like a hidden pendent. This was a mechanism for just moments like these. She took a deep breath, and blew the whistle.
Hopefully Ganon had finished his morning routine. Or at least had finished brushing his teeth, by now.

Elhaym couldn't help but suddenly jump up and suddenly shift her self near Mel whom was sitting to her left with FD to her right and Jaren sandwiched between Roy and FD. Another person suddenly joined, one Roy called 'mother'.
She watched the relation between a mother and son. It was..rather heartwarming..something she hadn't experienced in a long time. Not since that incident at least..7 years ago? How long? Just about, Elly supposed. Though judging from the woman's reaction, something terrible obviously happened before the newbie sniper got here.
"U-Um.." Elly inched forward, trying to speak but nothing came out. Dang it! Why was she never good at starting conversations. The more Elly tried to ask 'what happened' before she came, she felt herself well up just by looking at the the poor girl sitting across form her. No later then a second did she hang her head down to her cake and start poking at it, trying to hide the fact that she was crying because Roy's mother was.

Now I'm stuck here But I don't belong here ~Ninian~Ninian smiled apologetically at Roy as he dabbed her tears away, murmuring reassurances to her. As her began to eat his cake, drooling slightly at the sight of it, Ninian couldn't help but laugh. She remembered his third birthday, the day before spent in the kitchen, Ninian sitting on a stool overseeing the cooks working on Roy's birthday feast, as well as his birthday cake. Lots and lots of icing was his only demand. She laughed at the memory.
Before Lyre left, Ninian asked the laguz if she could have a hot chocolate with marshmallows. As strange as it may have sounded, Ninian has developed a fondness for the chocolaty drink, so long as it was sufficiently cooled. Ninian would let the marshmallows melt all the way, and then and only then would she drink it.
Ninian stared in slight shock as the cow went flying, landing flat on the floor. Lyre blew the special whistle, and Ninian sighed. She had a whistle of her own like that, part of the uniform for a Hostess.
Ninian returned her gaze to more important things, namely her cake. Taking another bite of the strawberry one, she began thinking. And then she realized something--
She had laughed for the first time since being released from the infirmary. I wanna be where you are Maybe I'm not so far from home [[original post lost with FireFox crashing. ;^;]]

Ganon sighed, carefully setting boards across the floor in his bathroom. He'd finished brushing his long sharp teeth and was now preparing to temporarily nail the boards together to form what would pass for a floor when he heard the whistle blown.
He sighed, looking down at the planks. That whistle was urgent, and this WAS the fastest way down. He pulled the planks apart to uncover the hole, then grabbed onto the edge and dropped straight through the floor. It was immediately apparent what was going on-- it was ALWAYS the guy on the floor on his back, looking up.
Plus Lyre was glaring at him. "Harassing the hostesses? Tut tut," he sighed allowed, reaching down and grabbing Jaren suddenly by the collar. Ever the showman, Ganon spun slowly, around once, lifting his arm and swinging the foolish man through the air before turning and releasing.
There were shrieks from outside as a young man burst out the sugar-glass windows and rolled through the street. Ganon bowed to the crowd, then called into the back, "Kris, need a new bay window! I'll just... fix the ceiling later." He headed for his stage, stretching, and paused to run the tip of his tail along the spot where Aruna's skin met her scales right in the middle of her back. "Hey, Aruna, can you get me a glass and a pitcher of water?" He moved to the stage and reached up to flip his hair back, then picked up his guitar and quietly began to play.

Derrin stood just out side the door to the cafe he had eaten in a few days ago when the reason he’d came burst through the window. "Well this makes things easier." He mumbled as he hoisted the man in the cow suit to his feet. "Guess the costume didn't go over so well huh?" Derrin asked. That damn costume was Jaren's pride and joy. The entire week he heard about how Jaren was going to wear it on Halloween and how someone would compliment him on it and they'd become friends.
"I found something we're leaving.. now. I need your help to research something."
A loud twee filled his ears as he lay on the ground. A frown on his face. "This isn't going how I hoped at all." That lizard was back again.... it also came from the sky again. He waved at it half-heartedly before it picked him up and tossed him. Flying through the window he landed on his side outside of the cafe.. his wonderful costume dirty now. Slight tears filled his eyes not only from being punched in the balls and thrown out a window. He closed his eyes planning on lying on that spot until the cows came home. But he soon opened his eyes again as he felt a presence above him he saw a purple robed savoir. "D-derrin? Is that you?" His friend grabbed him and lifted him to his feet. "No one liked my costume Derrin. You were right. This place is crazy. I think my luck actually got worse since coming here" He muttered.
"Hmm. Did you say something?" Derrin asked as Jaren turned to wave through the broken window at everyone he had just met giving them a sad smile. Ignoring this Derrin continued to explain his findings. "I think it might have to do with that little girl who was kidnapped... but I’m not sure. So we're heading to the library." Jaren looked back at the mage who thought the myrmidon was acting strangely.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" The mage said gruffly.
"You're my friend right?"
"Sadly I am if I wasn't I suppose I'd have better luck in life but chance has forced us to be friends... for now. Back on topic what do you know about the kidnappings."
"Not much... that Ziaram guy claims that someone flew in... but I think he may have been a little loopy from being stabbed"
Derrin sighed. "As I thought absoultly nothing. Look try to follow along that flying thing was a Laguz. And for some reason it wanted to capture someone when that someone. Ziaram. Resited it went for someone else. Meaning it had a clear objective. Age and gender must not matter for its first target drastically differed from its second. The little girl the only reason it went for the girl was because she couldn't fight back as well as anyone else could have. For some reason though the Laguz went for a capture only... meaning that child is going to be used for something maybe to ransom for FEF which could be why they went for Ziaram first they may have thought a myrmidon would be worth more than a little girl. Ending up surrounded the Laguz went for the next easiest target. Succeding it left... but with magic.... so how does a Laguz use magic in evything I've read Laguz can't use magic... I want to find out if there is a certain reason she targeted first Ziaram and then the little girl... if they have any relation then he could be targeted again. I also want to see if there is anyway that Laguz can use magic.... You understand?
"....... Laguz?"
"Grahhh! Just come on! we're going to the library!" Derrin grabbed Jaren's hand and pulled him along towards the library.

Although the paladin had no idea what it was like to be a politician's tool, she knew well what it was like of not being deployed. Back in Elibe when Harken went on a mission with Lord Elbert, the paladin was told to stand down. With no knightly duties to perform, she was taking the role of being the lady-in-waiting for Lady Eleanora. Of course, being a lady-in-waiting was part of her noble duties as a lady. However, her first priority job was a knight.
"Yes, it is difficult when not being deployed," Isadora said as she retracted her hand from his. "However, I think some are grateful to be deployed. It means that they can spend with the people they love, do the habits that they enjoy. Why, I even met Sir Wallace back in Elibe when he was not deployed in the battle. He would usually train or spar with another knight during his time. Oh course, he mostly sparred with Vaida whenever they were not used. I had lost counts of how many sparring they had. They usually continued their bickering of who's better whenever they crossed..."

"Well you seem to like that cake don't you Spitfire?" Melethia asked. She had noticed Roy had drooled a little. She bit into one of her tea cakes. She also washed it down a little with some of her tea.
She had done her best trying to ignore Jaren. She was more than willing to take him outside and make him eat fire. But he was already taken care of, so there was no need to do that.
Melethia shivered a little bit since Jaren was thrown out out a closed window. That ment the air from outside was coming in since the window was now broken and she was sensitive to the cooler air. She was going to be shivering alot come winter.

OOC sad Gah so bored!)
IC: Joshua strode into the cafe sparing a glance at the broken window he raised an eyebrow questingly before looking back into the busy cafe. "Last night was... interessting.. hopefully they'll find that little girl but... haaa" He yawned. "It doesn't have anything to do with me unless they call the trainee's for the guard. May as well have breakfast." The swordmaster adjusted his robes as he walked farther into the cafe his sword dangeling from his sash. After the events last night he figured he should keep it with him at all times... just in case. Though the blasted thing did make it harder to sit down and kept bumping into people in the busy streets.
Looking for an open table he soon relized that all the tables already had people at them. "Huh I guess this place's food is really good." He muttered annoyed before spotting the man he spoke to last night.. Roy was it. Being the only person in the cafe he knew he walked up to the table.
"Everywhere else was full. Mind if I sit here?" There was an open chair.. but it was lying on its back on the floor putting it upright he noticed a small hole in the back about the size of a fist.
Shooting Roy and the others a look that showed his curiosty he stood behind the chair.

I ain't givin' in, no matter how hard th' fight before me looks t' be!
>{Leon}< For a just a moment, Leon's gaze averted. He'd barely noticed Isadora' hand over his, after all, the man was still wearing his gauntlets. It was calming gesture, nothing more, so he told himself that in his mind and thought nothing else of it. He'd heard her speak... wasn't it polite to reply? "Oh, trainin' in their spare time? Now that ya mention it, I ain't got 'ny cases lined up for a while, Milady. I'm guessin' even the crim'nals are too spooked t' do what they do best."
When he thought back of his previous experiences, he remembered one thing that always held him back. That was the weight of his axe. Sure, the weapon was powerful, it was his favorite, but when Learania was overwhelmed with its various struggles, he found himself barely fighting hard enough to hold off his city's many enemies. The weight of the weapon, no matter how used to it he was, made him fatigued quickly. Sure, lances were a nice alternative, but enemy axes snapped them like twigs with great haste.
There was only one answer to everything. "Milady, can we spar? Y'see... I gotta confess... I'm an officer an'... I never learned t' use a sword b'fore. I heard ya got permission t' use th' silver 'uns, tha' means yer good, right? I'd ask th' other Watch but... they be up to their necks in fresh newbies. An' t' make it worse, not a single one 'o them boys wanna learn t' be cavaliers, so I'm bored outta m' mind 'ere..." >{Watch Lieutenant}< If ya just bel'eve, then... ev'n if th' world be torn asunder, vict'ry will be yers to hold!

Staying back, since that fool Jaren had finally been thrown out, Ziaram then said, "Well...I am sure I will now stick around here...besides I am sure there are some things we can easily move towards here." Looking around, then back at the lonely table he had been at, now thinking he had been a fool for being alone...now was not a time to be alone...now was a time to be socializing with others.

Isadora nodded politely when she heard that Leon was now having an easy work. Being a crew and trying to finish her work, including dealing with people's problem and other crew's work, was not easy. Now that she thought about it, she wondered what she would do when her day off came. Usually, she would try to finish the crew's work when they were being lazy in her day off.
Suddenly, Isadora heard a crash. Turning around, she noticed that the window had broken into millions of pieces. Outside of the building, she could see a person in... a cow suit? Now who would be doing that when Halloween wasn't there yet? She then heard Ganon calling someone named Kris to replace the window. Isadora wasn't sure what it was about, but was it normal to throw people through the window? Usually, she would see barkeepers threw troublemakers out the doors. It was then she heard Leon speak.
"What?" Isadora questioned. Her sparring with him? Why? She then listened to Leon's story of how he hadn't learned a sword. The paladin was surprised to hear this. When she was a page, she had to learn all types of weapons in order to be prepared. Never had she met someone who hadn't trained the way she was trained... Then again, Leon was from another world.
"I don't know," Isadora said unsure. "I'm pretty busy at the moment right now. You know, with the kidnapping situation and the work of a crew. But yes, I am quite good with swords, especially my Silver Sword. I've been training since I was a page. It's my dream to become a knight. Maybe when I'm not busy, I can teach you how to use the sword."
It was odd for the paladin to be helping with someone who wasn't part of her guild. However, as a knight, it was her duty to help those in need, whether or not the person was in her guild.

I ain't givin' in, no matter how hard th' fight before me looks t' be!
>{Leon}< Well, Isadora telling Leon "maybe later" was certainly better than a flat out "no." And the fact that she even agreed to training a non-member of FEF was yet another surprise coming the knight's way. Most of the time, in his early days of Archanea, he'd been seen as a burden if he were to ever ask twice how to do something. Understandable, wasn't it? They needed ready-to-fight soldiers to run a campaign of conquest, especially since little Prince Marth somehow slipped through the alliance's fingers.
But that was in the past. Learania, through seven years of turmoil and finally retaining order proved itself to be quite different from his homeland. What made the difference was leaders who cared, leaders like Isadora and the rest of the crew. "Well, mighty thanks for acceptin' m' idea, Lady Isadora. Yer jus' th' only Paladin I know... tha'... Sain person ain't 'round so much." >{Watch Lieutenant}< If ya just bel'eve, then... ev'n if th' world be torn asunder, vict'ry will be yers to hold! I shall now demonstrate the Law of Sacae… Tribesmen fighting with all they have for the sake of one another! ~)Sue(~ And so the Nomad trooper watched as the man whom was flirting with her earlier was kicked out, rather harshly by Ganon. It was kind of the myrmidon's fault, for he was causing trouble, and showing up in that odd costume. She flinched slightly, thinking of how bad an idea it was to be at the wrong end of the tall reptile's fury. Surely, that wouldn't be the most pleasant of experiences. By Father Sky... he's almost violent. How is he still... serene enough to play an instrument? But she had to admit the large reptile was just doing his duty. She probably would have done the same if she saw someone looking up the skirt of any of her friends. The nomad went quietly back to sipping her tea, trying to stay out of all the trouble that seemed to be happening. Another person had rushed to her personal defense before Ganon even arrived though, and that was Fa. She was here in Learania all this time, but Sue never managed to find the little one she let ride on Andre once until now. "Fa... it's... good to see you." She said softly, finally speaking. ~)Nomad Trooper(~ Tell me, is your reasoning bent? If so, allow me to straighten it with my >--arrows-- > and o=|lllswordll>

Fa looked back over to Roy who asked if Fa had gotten stronger,Yes, Roy! Fa had gotten Much stronger!" Fa had said as she flexed her tiny arm infront of Roy and the others at the table to try and show how much stronger while she smiled. She had looked over to Sue who was still quite a bit shaken up. Fa tilted her head over to Sue and replied, Hi Sue! Fa's really happy to see you!" as a big grin came to her face and walked over to Sue and wrapped her arms around Sue's midsection.

"Well, it sure seems you are a happy little one...Fa was your name right? It was a good punch, yet...maybe you should have gone for his leg, instead of...wait a sec never mind it was good that you went for that spot...if he somehow manages to reprofuce then..." Shudders at that thought...one fool was good enough...they would be better off if he had not been there though.

Roy took another sip of milk, relaxing in his own thoughts. He glanced over at Elhaym, who was poking at her cake. Though, he could see some tears (or at least, something wet drop from her face. Either she was drooling and he couldn't see it, or she was crying). He said nothing. He couldn't think of anything to cheer her up. What were you supposed to say to a girl who had spent seven years with her brother and lost her mother in the past? He couldn't think of anything.
His mother on the other hand had gone from tears to laughter in about...two seconds flat. And if she recalled correctly, she would also remember the cake was devoured pretty quickly too. He had dived into the cake, face-first, simply because it was necessary (and he was three. Are you going to stop a three year old from going face-first into the most delicious cake a mother could make?). If the slice of cake he had was larger, he'd probably do the sam-- manners! He had to mind his manners! There were people here!
Ganon had arrived and had grabbed Jaren. Roy had set down his glass of milk and reached for his fork before grabbing it. As Ganon lifted the idiot swordman, the redhead had lifted the cake. Before Ganon could even swing Jaren around before throwing him out the window, the cake was gone. Devoured. Almost instantly. There weren't even any crumbs. The young lord was licking the chocolate and the icing off the fork as Jaren went flying into the window.
That was some good cake.
"It's been a long time since I had cake Mel. Cut me some slack." he replied with a smirk, setting the small plate down. It was empty now. Not even the crumbs remained. He had some icing around his mouth (hurray for messy eating~ It was a habit he could never get over), which was deftly handled with a napkin. His hands found their way to the cup of milk, and he wasted half the glass washing down the delicacy. He sighed out of enjoyment and closed his eyes.
He heard a voice addressing him and the young lord opened one of his eyes. It was Joshua, the redhead he met the other day. Roy nodded, though told the swordman the only seat left was the one lying down that Jaren was in moments before. He only hoped idiocy was not contagious.
He heard little Fa speak and he smiled at the dragon girl before ruffling her hair a little. "That's good...that's very good. Someday you'll be very powerful without the need of a dragonstone." he said softly.
