((Tis alright. I dun mind. :3))
Cody had noticed how Pepper had acted at whatever Melan had told him. Yet, there wasn't much he could do as his mom had actually picked up the phone instead of a certain white-haired female who hated his guts and had been in a absolutely terrible mood earlier. Not long after the call ended, Noel arrived to pick up Edes.
"Kay, I can wait," he muttered to the mute male, glancing at Pepper with hope that his friend would be alright. He seemed far too shaken up and disturbed to be anything near normal. Hell, the appearance of the lake guardian hadn't scared him that much. "You alright?" he asked as his guardian also pulled up and got out of the car.
"Cody! Are you alright?" Shadai asked, quickly enveloping her child in a tight embrace. "I ok mum.... please leggo... can' breathe..." Cody gasped, squirming a bit. Thankfully Shadai's grip on him lessened enough to be comforting and not suffocation.
"Shall we head home?" she asked after quickly examining the child and finding him to be in one piece. "Yeah... Le's go," Cody replied, allowing himself to be led to the car. With one last wave in farewell, the two backed out and headed for home.

When Edes was taken from him he let go easily enough he stood still a bit dumbstruck, it took him a moment or two to register that Cody had been speaking to him but by the time he found it in his power to move and the gears in his brain start again both Cody and Edes were gone. Which left him with Vampy who was busy trapping the glutton.
He wanted to lash out, anger and dissapointment bitter in his throat, but he couldn't...right now he just needed time to think. He slunk off back to his room...to go hide under a certian bed.

Vampy held back a curse though he was relieved that the kids were gone now...though how they didn't notice the fact he was roping a large demon he wasn't sure. Still he guessed he should be glad rather than annoyed.
He wasn't sure what Melan had said to the boy Pepper but he judged by Pepper's reaction it wasn't good, not to mention he then slunk off without a word. Perhaps he should be glad that he wasn't more like his DNA parent.
Giving a grunt he made a final tug on the lasso and had the glutton within his magic trap. As soon as it enveloped him it transported him away into a temporary space until they had a cell prepared for him. He gave a grin fixing his hair before going back into the building. He gave instructions for the bodies or what was left of them from his hounds to be disposed of and the lawn water down so that the smell of blood and death could be washed away.
So many things to do...and prepare.
