Mercuryangel I never want to get rid of books, no matter how old...I'm obsessed with them. Half the time when I want a new book, my parents say to throw out or sell some others first...and I give them a look like they're crazy...then I go buy more anyway. So they're just all over my room. The shelf is packed...my nightstand drawers, some boxes, the closet... I have the same problem. I still have all my Junie B. Jones and Horrible Harry books. xD I just can't bring myself to part with them.

the same thing happen to me, when i ever get a book that i like or i dont even read. i cant throw it away its like im a part of the book when i first get it

i hide a flash light by my bed and stay up and read, then i wake up early in the morning and read... i yell at people for dog-earing books... i read books my parents don't like(but then they don't like many books)... i used to make list of books i wanted to read then i would lose the list and not read the books ever... i don't have many bad habits...

-I read at night so I have to read in the dark so as not to disturb my sisters who I share a room with.
-I get mad at people who turn books over. once when my friend did it in the library as soon as she left I tore out a corner of my homework, flipped the book over and put the corner in her place.
-since I have no money I have to get all my books from the library and I end up getting five at once so other people won't take them; then get mad when a book I want is gone (I'm a hypocrite like that xp ).
-I really don't like reading more than one book at once (despite checking a lot out at once) so if I start reading one halfway through another one I usually won't go back until I finish the second.
-I really should keep a list of books to read since I can never seem to remember.
-I started reading books just for Accelerated Reader points and ended up reading some really boring books.
-I read a lot during my Ag Physical Science class since it's right after the nutrition break and I read during nutrition so then I can't stop until my teacher tells me to.

I will sometimes read in the dark or in very dim light because when I start a book I can't pull myself away long enough to turn on a light.
Also reading in class. My teachers always look at me to see if I'm reading in the middle of class. And one of them actually takes away all of my books before class starts because she got tired of taking one away to notice 5 minutes later I had another one out.
I'll also stay up very late to read books and end up not wanting to move in the morning, I'm so tired.
One of my worst habits is that, in the middle of class, something sad, unexpected, or annoying happens in the book, and I either say something alound or slam it shut. Then of course everybody turns around to look at me because I just did that.

I really do need to stop buying books when I have so many left unread on my own shelves, but I just cannot help myself. I recently purchased Inkheart despite the fact that I have no room to keep it on the shelves, or at least not much. It would be really bad if I had all of my manga out on display instead of packed in a duffle bag, suitcase, and plastic box yet not even that holds my entire collection.
Last week when I was at the library, I noticed that there were some books misshelved. I had to put them in the right order... The librarians didn't mind and I had volunteered there before so they know I would put things correctly on the shelves.

~reading by the light of my fish tank *adjusts glasses*
~buying more books than I can afford, then reading them all before I can afford any more
~my books tend to nest in the little niche between my matress and my bed frame on my bunk bed at home. when I miss this little niche, they fall down and scare the crap out of my little brother, who sleeps in the bottom bunk
~reading while walking. everywhere. I've broken a toe doing this, and I live on a busy college campus. Someday I will get ran over by a car.

I'll read through the night and stay up on coffee and espresso just to finish something. The next day, I'll be in an "it's totally worth it" phase wherein I sleep through half my classes.

My bad habit is laying books flat on a surface open to keep a page when I have book marks nearby. It hurts the spine of the books.

i tend to bend the pages of books.. but never any that belong to me.. jsut library books.. and i also don't have neough self space so theres just random books everywhere

Sometimes I tend to eat or drink while reading, which is a horrible idea all around. Another one of mine is that I sit books on the floor, not so much any more, but then my room often gets messy, and I lose track of the book, or end up stepping on it. D:

Hmm...bad book habits? Well, I do tend to read a lot in dim light, but that's only when I'm on a reading marathon and the sun sets without me noticing. Seriously, I'm reading, then I blink and I can't see the freakin' page!
I do use bookmarks; none of that folding the page nonsense. Sadly, I'm a hoarder of bookmarks. Whenever I finish a book, the poor thing ends up stuck at the back whilst I go and get a new one! Sad, isn't it?
But I think my worst is eating over my books! I don't do it intentionally; normally I make something for myself seeing as I know I'm going to get engrossed and I won't remember to eat hours later. But when I do start eating, bits fall onto my lovely book! It's not so bad if it's crumbs, but when avocado or tomato splotches the corner of makes a nasty streak down the page...I just wanna cry!
Other than that, I try and take good care of all my books 3nodding

Oh dear, I pity my books. For one thing, hardly any of them have an appropriate location in my room since my bookcase is so small and the amount of books I own is so large. There are piles all over, and they tend to topple over once a week when I try to find a certain copy. I read in the dark/in dim lighting way too much, too; I stay up reading until midnight without any lights on every other day.
Also, I hate using bookmarks and instead always flip the books over if I'm putting them down for a while. If I'm abandoning the book for a longer period of time, I fold the corner of the page I'm at. Poor, poor things! Another bad book habit of mine is checking out more books are the library than I can possibly finish in time, and then forgetting to return them.

I found out that a friend of mine has so many books that she reverts to using them as doorstops.
Recently, I tried breaking each of my bad book habits, and so far they seem to be going well. None of them are on the floor, all the ones I have at the moment (which are about eleven) are all safe on my nightstand. I've retained myself from eating while reading.(Though I couldn't stop myself from drinking. Very bad habit. T__T)

i have only two and i some times read the some book over and over and over again and when i am looking for a manga i usualy look for ones with some hentai in it
