Aki was standing just outside the elder's house, watching for any sign of the bandits. Hana and James were both inside. So far everything had been quiet, but he knew the quiet wouldn't last long. He leaned his back against the wall, crossed his arms, and closed his eyes. Bandits were always very noisy in their movements, so Aki was confident that he could hear them coming.

"Well, in any case, there should still be some people here," Kai nodded. He walked ahead, eyes scanning the scene before him, intent on looking for any survivors.
"However, I do find it odd that a peasant militia was able to kill so many soldiers," Kai implemented. This situation grows more and more mysterious by the minute. He scanned the visible bodies. "The bodies of soldiers seem much more plentiful than the bodies of villagers. That means that either the village was able to successfully repel the assault without suffering heavy casualties. Or..." Kai paused, a thin smile forming on his lip.
"That someone moved the bodies."

"Still...it irks me that such a small village would be able to provide the power and vigilance to be able to repel an attack from trained soldiers. Even with guerrilla tactics it would still be quite a feat to take on a battlement of soldiers with untrained peasants. And we must also remember, not everyone is as capable as you, " Kai stated blandly. Looking at Bjorn, Kai could see that they were getting nowhere by pondering this amongst themselves.

"In any case, I suggest it best to find someone and ask them what transpired here," Kai decided. Snapping his fan shut, he walked even deeper into the village, intent on reaching its governing office. Or in other words, the Chief's House.

Nalken slowly and cautiously walked out from a building and looked over at the carnage, he had been forced to help the village and luckily he had passed off as a villager and had fought a good battle, "I just hope I can go home soon." Nalken thought to himself as he looked around for signs of life, he noticed two men walking and they looked different from the men who he had fought earlier and he thought it was best to leave while he could. His arm was hurt and his side slashed open a bit but he could manage to get back to his village if he didn't trip over anything which wasn't his luck today and he tripped over a body and crashed into a pile of wood causing them all to break. "I hope they didn't hear that." Nalken said squirming up out of the wood and looking around.

Bjorn heard the crash of wood off to his side. He drew his claymore in a large arc, holding it in front of him. He strained to hear more movement. Footsteps off to his side. He turned in time to hear his name being called...from behind him.
Bjorn turned around, looking at Aki. He nearly dropped his claymore as recognition set in. He immediately went down on one knee, bowing his head.
"Your Majesty." he said quietly.

"Greetings dear Prince," Kai said, bowing slightly from the waist. Kai was never one for formality. "We had been looking for you."
Kai examined the Prince. So the rumors were true. He has grown up quite a bit, , growing taller and more built. Kai eyes shifted towards the two companions as they emerged from behind the Prince. One was a girl, with long black hair, slightly older than the Prince. Hana. Kai smiled, recognition filling his eye. So more of us survived that fateful day. As his eye went to the the third individual, the recognition was replaced by a sharp piercing gaze. The young man seems to be a commoner, though his eyes seemed steady and strong. Kai flashed the man a light smile, then returned his attention to the Prince.

"Yes, let us remove ourselves of this place," Kai agreed. But he felt something a missed. When Bjorn had turn at the crack of wood, it was to his side. The direction the Prince arrived in was from the other. Someone else is here.. Kai stored this detail in his head. Leaning slightly over to Bjorn, Kai whispered "Be on guard; I feel someone else's presence here."

As soon as the man appeared from the rubble, Kai was already in motion. Putting himself in between the man and the Prince, he snapped open his fan, incantations already forming in his mind.
Suddenly, the man fell down. This took Kai as a surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. He signaled Bjorn to go check on the man. Kai then prepared to chant a defensive spell on Bjorn, if the man on the ground was preparing a feint.
