Jesse snerked at the remark and gave a sarcastic grin, then looked Schraeder up and down.

"Heh, and if I recall, It wasn't your hand that dealt the blow that put me down. Had to have your Savior come and do it for you."

Jesse snuffed, then rubbed his thumb across the bridge of his nose.

"Think you can do better? Or are ya gonna hold onto that pipe dream that agent... uh... what was his name? Oh yeah! Agent Rancid a** left behind for you to follow?"

Now this, on any other ordinary terms would have gotten him into a locker room brawl with the schools resident hot head jock. But he wasn't so sure about this setting. It was foreign, and a little too new for him. He maintained his pose anyway, waiting, watching, and most of all, studying for that moment when he decided to get the drop on either of them.

Schraeder looked Jesse up and down, then laughed.

"You're one to talk about needing a savior. If the Thief hadn't 'ported your lily a** out of there, you would have died. You know, when you were lying on the floor like a rug. And, as a matter of fact - "

He appeared right in front of Jesse, driving a sharp cross into the gap he had seen in Jesse's quills. As the wind left Jesse's lungs, Shcraeder skipped back and said merrily, "I think I can beat you just as badly."

As expected, Helena's target simply vanished, and she immediately dove forward to accomplish a rather awkward roll. Coming up a little imbalanced (rolling with bladed arms was a rather difficult maneuver!) she turned and almost fell on her a**. Her balance righted, she crossed both blades before her and moved to meet Adela in her charge.

Adela's first immediate thought: At least she can't emasculate me. The second? Crap. She moved to a handstand form (legs tucked) when Helena attempted to slice her open. Once the girl uncrossed her blades, Adela straightened both legs and delivered a kick to the girl's chin. Adela had tried a new tactic - the energy she used in her hands were now directed to her legs. She imagined that the same amount of pain would be the same.

Clarissa had no freakin' idea what to do. How do you face a guy with this kind of ability? But for some reason, the practice she'd done with the Thief earlier had done a world of good to her. Almost instinctively, she dodged the attack and turned to strike his neck. Though she didn't realize it, her body was remembering certain attack patterns.

Hearing battle resume in another sector of the complex, Jon's breathing and body had finally recovered at least to functional capacity. He turned to Agent A after re-assessing the situation at hand with the two incapacitated spinning freaks.

"I trust you can handle these two now in your own fashion... don't worry... I won't report any 'sounds or images' to my superiors if you should decide to finish them off yourself. I'll attempt to go and reinforce the other teams."

With that, Jon disappeared, bolting off towards the shouts and sounds of battle.

The attack connected just as he'd hoped it would, but damage wise, he didn't hit nearly as hard as Agent R.

Winded for a brief moment, Jesse folded his arms over his chest and stumbled back. He fought to stay off his knees, and slightly concentrated to keep his attention on Schraeder who he assumed was feeling quite proud of himself at that moment.

After taking a few breaths, finally getting some of his wind back, Jesse managed a chuckle, and then an indignant look.

"You call that a punch...? My gran-gran hits harder than that!"

Still feeling the effects of the punch slightly, he made sure not to leave himself open like that. Instead, he figured out another tactic to use. Seeing how Schraeder was much faster and very much more agile than he was, this was going to take some doing.

"If you think you got better fighting skills than your butt-wife Agent R, come and get some more." he said to him, getting in a boxers south paw/philly shell defensive stance.

Schraeder groaned and rolled his eyes. "Man, you don't even know how to insult. Just throwing out a bunch of disconnected, vaguely insulting, and confusing terms do not make your burns at all more effective. Quite the opposite, really."

He glanced back to check on Adela before assuming a boxing stance, ready whenever Jesse made a move.

Jesse shook his head in disdain as he moved into closer quarters with Schraeder. If he was indeed worth his salt in fighting, this should prove to be a worth while bout.

Time was wasting, and hell was breaking loose elsewhere around them, thus, it was apparant that the both of them should make quick work of each other, and move on. Knowing his style and remembering his lessons from his uncle, Jesse started out with a quick sharp jab aimed at Schraeders face, which was a typical starting attack. The rest, would be up to the skills of the combatants themselves.

The Adams were getting closer.

The pressure-man, distracted from Clarissa by Saieve and Finnegan, stamped on the ground, throwing himself into the air when the inevitable detonation occured. Clarris, Saieve, and Finnegan were knocked back, but not substantially injured. The man landed a little ways away, breathing a little heavily. The Fire-thrower was off distracted with Kevin and the rest of the Adams, and so it stood when Pressureman leapt forward, and the pressure increased far more than normal. "This is it," he declared as he moved forward.

Schraeder easily bobbed under the jab, having been expecting it, then faked a jab to cover a cross that came flying at Jesse's nose from behind Schraeder's body.

Jon scrambled through the field of battle, stopping only momentarily as he heard the explosion.

Blimey... That wasn't ominous at all...

Smirking at his own sarcastic thoughts, he chose to pursue the nearest sounds of combat which seemed to be coming from the one he had spoken more in detail with back in Area 51.

Scraefer.. Chaufer... Scraedel... whatever...

He appeared to have things in hand, but it was two against one currently, and one can only last a certain period of time when using so much energy.

Sliding down the rubble, he leaped into the fray, sword in hand, landing within earshot of the Eve member.

"Figured you might appreciate some help, mate!"

He prepared himself and descended into an En Garde stance.

Agent M, finished with firing to no apparent effect, turned his attention to Jesse and Schreader; waiting for an opening as Schraeder blinked away, he fired several shots at Jesse, continuing to fire as he approached, his left arm growing disproportionately large and supporting the biotic gun arm during his approach.

Elizabeth, growling to herself, shook her head to clear it and manifested her Shield; no longer did the cold bother her. She began seeking out potential targets, entirely unclear as to what was happening, and deciding on Schraeder, recognizing him from their last encounter.

Joneleth and Host-Agent M appeared to assist him at the same time. Purposely ignoring the British mogul, Schraeder said, "Thanks for the help," looking straight at M. He backed off of Jesse, allowing the Host-Agent to rip the Host apart.

In the meantime, the Shield girl was advancing on him. Schraeder sighed. "No rest for the weary..." He readied himself in a boxing stance as the girl approached.

The cross came quickly towards his face. It was almost as if his body knew exactly what to do, and followed through with it. He instinctively slapped at Schraeders oncoming punch while retracting his other hand, then quickly sending it in low to deliver a body blow right to the sturnum.

Jon watched as the girl with the shield attempted to advance on Schraeder while the quill mutant made its way around the Host Agent's shots (apparently) and attempted to re-engage him.

The young Brit opened his palm towards the charging quill covered individual and smirked.

"Time's up for you, mate."

A Chronosphere opened around Jesse's current position roughly twelve feet in radius, slowing the temporal flow of time. Joneleth avoided hasting himself at the same time on this assault in order to avoid cardiac arrest. Jon's sword swung ferociously in front of him as he maneuvered himself within the sphere with his slowed combatant.
