"A whale," the unidentified woman declared. The shadows in the room shifted, and - holy s**t it was a whale.
If there was any question that they would eat well enough, it was dispensed. The Nihilites began removing the thicker coats. As the thicker clothing came off, a variety of eccentric clothing, even stranger than that of the Adam-team and The Thief came to light. The pair who had been creating a vortex were both dressed in an unusually modern fashion, both of dark skin, both dressed vaguely as though from inner city. The pressure-man revealed himself to be unusually tattooed. Though the tattoos themselves were nothing to marvel at, it was the way that the Hosts could feel the aura surrounding him running through them as though channels.
The woman in charge was fairly unremarkable; though her fashion of dress was somewhat anachronistic, her features and build were otherwise unremarkable. The sense of aura, however, was at least what The Thief put off.
"I suppose we've failed to introduce ourselves, and I imagine you're a bit confused as to our identities. We are known as the Nihilites," the woman announced. "My name is Korina. I lead the Nihilites, and we serve The Thief. We come from everywhere and from all walks of life. Most of us are philosophers, of sorts, those who have read his works and have understood. As we understood, we found Sigils, and received what was justly ours.
"How we come to be here, now... we do not know. But it is a great opportunity. We have a chance to right the wrongs committed by ourselves and others throughout all time. And we intend to see it done."
What a spiel.

"Nice to meet you all." Saieve said as he slowly approached the...whale... "My name's Saieve." A...whale... Saieve breathed deeply, he was ready to eat, but he wanted to wait for the others. A whale would most certainly be enough to hold them all over for a while. "Um...where are you getting these animals? I mean...a whale! I mean, thank you, just something curious, though."
He paused to study the Nihilites, "If you don't mind me asking..." he began, "What exactly do you intend to do?"

A whale. There was a freakin' whale in front of her. Far be it from her to look a gift horse in the mouth. Though she started ravaging a portion of the whale, she continued to listen in on the conversation. She too, was interested in the answers to Saieve's question.

Jesse was quiet. Half listening, half brooding, and the rest, feeling sorry for himself. He could hear the conversations going on around him. He could even smell the whale that was brought in to feed them. But right now, with having all these memories flooding him, he just wanted to be alone at the moment, mostly to finish healing, but moreso, to reflect and try to make things right.

Foodfoodfoodfoodfood.
Elizabeth released a spray of digestive fluids on the whale and immediately began devouring it. She could pay attention to the conversation after. Even if whale wasn't as good as human.

The thread of conversation was lost as the Feeding began.
The Hosts couldn't hear what Korina was saying over their own cries of pain, revulsion, and joy as the fed. Their eyes burned, their guts twisted inside of them, and their throats felt as though they had swallowed molten gold.
The Nihilites, though worldly, were equally disgusted. Never before had they encountered an activity like this. The purple goo was splattering all over the whale, which was very recently dead. The Nihilites took a step back and averted their eyes.

Helena gave one final contemplative glance over her shoulder toward Agent M before they disappeared. Once back in a safe place, she was still very... edgy. She wanted to move, to do something. When the whale arrive, her first instinct was to go for its middle, where the most meat would be.
She didn't cry this time, but she didn't revel in the experience either. It was simply a matter of disconnecting from reality until it was all over. It was difficult and still something of a traumatic experience, but when it was over and her filthy blades became filthy hands, Helena found herself licking sticky fluids from her hands. In the midst of suckling her left pinky clean, she realized just what it was she was doing and where she was. Slowly, the finger slipped from her lips and her eyes caught those of others. Abashed, she turned away from everyone and moved toward a wall. Pressing her hand to it, she asked in a quiet and nervous voice, "Can I get a shower?" Grissom didn't look over her shoulder; she couldn't bring herself to meet anyone's stare.
Yes, the Hunger made them go crazy, but she had finished eating, reverted to her natural form, and then licked the gore from her entire hand. There was now a stark contrast between her left and right: the former mildly coated in saliva and visibly clean while the other was still covered in a fresh layer of... whatever that mess could be considered.
They're all going to think I'm ******** crazy. A ******** sicko. Maybe she'd end up crying after all. At this point, she wasn't entirely sure.

The most disturbing development of the day was that while the Nihilites as a rule hesitated in the face of the disgusting. Korina did not. Her impatience was more apparent than any disgust. It was almost as though she thought it was... normal. No, that wasn't it. It was more that she just didn't care. It was an odd magnanimous gesture that she made little comment.
"Well, yeah, if I can figure out how The Thief wove this place together, and - ah, here we are." The door that had not been there before now was, as was normal around here. "If you feel the need, get cleaned up and I'll answer Saieve's question when you're back. Because I do have a plan. Just because The Thief isn't around doesn't mean we can't be productive."

The whale was amazingly delicious. All thought of paying attention to conversation was lost on her as she continued to strip the meat and spew goo on the food before eating. She felt the pain - oh God the pain - of feeding, but it was necessary. The joy was dull and the revulsion didn't bother her as much. After everything I've done, there's no way I can possibly feel more disgusted with myself. All in all, she felt disconnected as she ate.
Once Clarissa was sated, she looked around and saw the disgusted looks on people's faces. She flinched. I didn't want this. I'm sure I never wanted this to ever happen. At least it was a whale rather than a person. Unconsciously, she licked the juices from her hands as she turned back to look at the whale. Even amidst the strange I am still an oddball.
She quietly moved towards the door that suddenly appeared. Clarissa noticed that some of the Nihilites moved away as she got closer to the door. I can't say I blame them. I'd be repulsed by me, too. She entered the bathroom to change yet again. All she needed was to wash her arms and change shirts. Thankfully, she found a copy of the shirt that she'd previously worn.
After donning the clean shirt, she returned to listen to Korina's plan. I wish I had a book. She missed being able to hide behind books to escape the stares.

Saieve was disgusted with himself as he devoured his share of the whale. The pain was nothing he couldn't deal with, now it was just...gross. He closed his eyes as he fed, not wanting to watch the process. He finished, opened his eyes, and sighed. At least he didn't have the hunger tugging at him anymore.
He looked around to survey the Nihilites' faces and contorted his face into a look of shame. He took a deep breath and stood. He turned to enter the door that had opened.
"I need to gargle..." he mumbled as he walked.

Elizabeth was up to her elbows in whale guts and she didn't give a damn. It was so good. Not as good as humans, but good. Maybe it was because of how hungry she was. Everything tasted good when you were hungry, right?
When she finished, she stood up with a broad grin. Blood was splattered over her face and arms.
Yeah, she was in a disgusting state, but she felt too good to care. "Whatcha starin' at?" she asked the Nihilites.
Life was good.

Lance (who had definitely been there the whole time) spoke for the first time. "Yeah, uh... I think... I think we'd best get cleaned up." He himself was covered in gore as the others, and seemed somewhat more self-conscious, but apparently things had gotten... more ridiculous. "But uh. Quick question. You say from everywhere, but I mean, check that guy out," Lance pointed to the tattooed man, who nodded to him, still looking a little sick. "I mean, no shirt, bald, and look at his clothes." The man did appear to be dressed in some fashion that mixed ancient with future - perhaps Egyptian? Whatever his dress was was certainly unusual, a sort of wrapped cloth around his waist, what looked like a rubbery undersuit, and then sandals. Wooden sandals.
"Well... he isn't from... your day. Or mine. That's the weird thing. We're also from... all of when. Something odd happened when The Thief broke that Sigil. More than just empowering a few chumps. No, it dragged some of us through time," Korina informed them. "It's... we don't know what happened."

"So how'd you like my brother?" Saieve asked Clarissa off-handily.

Clarissa smiled as Saieve walked up to her. At least someone had been willing to talk to her. "Your brother was very kind to me. He tried to help me through the Hunger," she ended sadly. I feel terrible for wanting to eat him. There was a light blush on her face as she thought of of Fin.
"Anyway! How was the fight with A? You said he wasn't a bad guy?" It would be good to get away from the subject of his brother for a while. That is, if Saieve didn't push it.

Saieve smirked and raised an eyebrow. He had noticed her blush, but said nothing of it for now, not wanting to push...at least not right away.
"Well," Saieve began, pausing for only a moment, "It started off as a fight, but it never really went past a few strikes. Once we were actually distance from each other, we started to talk rather than fight. I ended up learning a thing or two. One: Not all the Host-Agents are bad guys, nor do they particularly like their mission, and two: well, I convinced him to teach me a little something."
He smiled, now he would push, "So tell me," he said, not immediately letting her ask what that thing he learned was, "How did it seem like Finnegan was taking this? Could you tell?"
